She hummed and watched him, unmoving from her position against the entryway as his eyes zeroed in on her. "I just woke up."

He turned off the water and grabbed the towel resting there, drying his hands, his eyes never leaving her form. Her eyes flicked down to his hands and he saw her tongue dart out to lick her top lip. Her eyes raised to meet his and he raised an eyebrow at her, trying to hide his smirk.

"See something you like?" Her legs rubbed together, but she stayed leaning against the frame of his door.

"I like that you cooked for me." Her answer made him smile and he tossed the towel down to walk towards her.

"Yeah? What else can I do to make you keep looking at me like this?" Her eyes watched him as he got closer. She lifted her gaze to catch his eyes as he moved in front of her, and he liked the sharp angle her head was forced to make so she could keep her eyes on his.

"You've already done so much for me." Her mumbled words were hard to pick up, but he heard them. He moved his hand and trailed it up her arm, satisfied as goose bumps followed his touch.

"I want to do more, Manami. Once you've rested and your body is in less pain, I-." His words caught as he stopped his hand at her shoulder. She was looking up at him with such wonder and trust that it tore the filthy thoughts from his brain. He sighed heavily and turned away from her. "Come on, the food's almost done. I'm hungry."

He walked over to the stove and turned off the burner, stirring it to make sure none of the ingredients had burned. He grabbed an oven mitt and tossed it onto the island before placing the pot over it. He turned and grabbed a couple bowls from his cabinet, placing them and forks on the island as well.

He looked up to see her still against the entryway, watching him. He pulled out one of the barstools from under the island edge and patted the seat when she didn't move. "Come on, we'll eat in here."

She moaned lightly as she tried to straighten from the wall. He saw her legs shake and ran over to grab her quickly. "Woah! It's okay, I've got you."

She looked up at him and he saw her eyes slightly unfocused. "Toyomitsu, I don't feel very good. I think I should go back to bed."

He picked her up and walked over to set her on the barstool. He grabbed one of the bowls and filled it with food before placing it in front of her. "We can nap and watch another movie after you eat."

She shook her head slowly before resting it into her palm. "I don't think I can, Gum. I feel so exhausted and dizzy."

He picked up the fork and stabbed at a piece of chicken before holding it out to her. "Come on, just try a bite, I promise it's really good."

She opened her mouth for him, and he placed the chicken in between her teeth. She closed her jaw as he pulled the fork out. She closed her mouth and began to chew, maddingly slow as he watched her with concern. "It's good. I'm sorry but I don't know how much I'll be able to eat."

He shook his head and picked up another bite for her. "Don't worry about it. We can save it for when you feel better."

He pressed the bite against her lips, and she opened them again. They continued this process until she had gotten through a third of the bowl and her hand finally pushed him away. "Enough, that's enough, please."

He took the bite into his mouth, finally satisfying his grumbling stomach. Her weak plea hit him in the gut, and he watched her breathe as he ate a few more bites from her bowl. "Okay, that's okay. You did really well. Let's sit here for a minute to let it settle and then we can watch another movie."

She nodded weakly, her one hand covering her face and her other wrapped along her middle. He finished off the bowl while he kept an eye on her and after finishing off another bowl full, he put down the fork and moved to her side.

She moved her hand to look at him and her eyes looked clearer than before. He smiled gently at her and held out his arms. "Come on, let's get you to the couch so you can rest."

She moved to get up, but she fell forward into his arms. "Oh! Oh Gum, I'm so sorry. I'm dizzier than I thought."

He picked her up without comment and carried her bridal style to the couch. He set her down where she was before and pulled the blanket around her. "Rest Manami. I'll be back."

Her eyes closed against the pillow he had rested her on and she heard him move away. Noises came from the kitchen and she assumed he was cleaning up. She dozed lightly but blinked her eyes open when a straw touched her lip.

He crouched in front of her, holding a glass of dark red liquid. "Drink this."

She opened her mouth obediently and he pushed the straw in. She took a cautious sip and then moaned at the flavor, quickly sucking down more.

"Good right? It's an apple and cherry juice. I keep it in the house for when I get lightheaded. It's full of good sugar so it'll help you get your energy back." He rubbed at her back while she drank, making sure to not move too much against her.

Her lips fell open and the straw dropped back into the glass, leaving it half full. "No more, thank you."

He placed the glass down on the coffee table and grabbed the remote to turn on a random animated movie. He put his hand back to rub at her back again. "No worries. Tell me what you need."

She opened her eyes and found him watching her with concern. "The lights, please turn them off."

He grabbed a remote next to the couch and hit a couple buttons, soon the only light was coming from his windows and the TV. He got up and pushed the curtains along the windows closed, making the room even darker.

Her sigh hit his ears and he moved back over to her. "What else? Come on sweetheart, I want to make sure you can rest."

"You. Please lay with me." He looked in the direction of his office, thinking about the emails and text messages he still needed to answer. He looked back to tell her he had to work but her pleading eyes stopped his words.

She reached out and grabbed onto the hand he had on the couch to support his weight. Her palm rested against the back of his hand and he knew his answer. "Please Toyomitsu."

He gently moved her forward on the wide couch. He pulled the blanket up and then settled under it behind her. She lifted her head, and he moved his arm to lay under the pillow she was using for her head. His other hand hovered over her form. "Is this okay?"

She reached a hand under the pillow to hold onto his and moved her other one to grab his hovering one. She wrapped both his and her arm around her waist and wiggled closer to him, until her back was flush against his chest.

Her sigh reached his ears as she closed her eyes. "There, that's perfect."

He stared down at her in wonder and moved to kiss her temple before laying his head next to her and watching the movie.

She slept against him, while he half paid attention to two movies. He didn't dare risk moving, and he found himself not really wanting to. Her hands had interlocked their fingers in her sleep, and he loved the feel of her soft fingers against his rough and calloused ones.

He wiggled closer to her and rested his head against hers, his nose tickled by her hair, but he ignored it as he breathed in the smell of her. Mint, rose, and something else. Something sweet.

He loved it, loved having her in his arms, loved having her trust him enough to care for her in this state.

She whimpered and shivered lightly against him. He pulled the blanket tighter around her and moved her leg so his bigger one could rest between hers. He kissed at her neck. "Shh, it's okay. I've got you baby, go back to sleep."

Her breaths slowly deepened, and he found himself once again admiring her. She was breathtakingly gorgeous to him, and from the way he saw everyone watching her while she was on stage last night, he knew he wasn't the only one who thought so. Seeing her singing on stage, smiling at the crowd and teasing the band. Her black dress had looked incredible with her red hair flowing down her back and he knew his friend was right, he had been unable to focus on much else but her that night until the fight broke out.

But this? This was new to him. He had never had a woman look so casual around him. He had dates and lovers, sure. But they all dressed up when they were around him, and while he liked the way women looked and acted when they felt their best, he liked the casual comfy side more. The laughing, goofing around and eating as much as they could without getting embarrassed.

He liked women that could eat, he liked feeding them and making sure they were healthy and happy. But the women he had seen before didn't do that, they grew embarrassed at the amount he could eat while on dates and it always made him self conscious. Hence why the relationships never made it far from the bedroom and ended soon after.

But her? She had seen how much he ate this morning and didn't seem to care at all, hell she [paid for their food! Had even stolen bites from his plate when she was done with hers. He had seen it and found himself more attracted to her because of it. He felt bad that she hadn't had as much for lunch but knew her medicine was probably starting to wear off, so the concussion side effects were going to hit her full force.

She shifted under his arm and he untangled his leg and hands from hers. She whimpered as she turned but then settled again once her head was buried in the space between his neck and collarbone. He slowly lowered his arm back around her and moved the pillow so he could rest against it, giving his neck a break from holding itself up.

Her breaths hit his neck and he shivered, pulling the blanket up and tighter around them. He began moving his hand up and down along her back under the blanket, and her body relaxed further against him. He turned back to watch the movie and his eyes began to close.

He moved his hand to her head and pulled her further into his neck before he finally lost against the sleep pulling him. The last thing he felt was her hands grabbing onto his shirt and snuggling even further in.
