Don't worry, I saw all of the errors in the last chapter and have already fixed them! These lyrics are kinda compressed because I didn't want the first chapter to be called "Maybe I'm Crazy", the next, "Maybe I'm Weak", and the third to be, "Maybe I'm Blinded By What I See"
That would be WAY too many "Maybe" chapters for my liking!
As always,
Enjoy!

::~8: Maybe I'm Crazy, Weak, And Blinded By What I See~::
As of now, Izuna laid in his room completely alone. The darkness that filled his bedroom mattered not to him as he stared at the ceiling. Ever since he had released Indra as his eternal mate, nothing had felt the same to him. This had become some sort of a ritual to him. He stared at the ceiling in the dark with the same old empty feeling within his heart.
He couldn't remember the last time that he had actually gained a decent night of sleep, but he supposed that this was a fitting punishment for what he had done to the one woman that had loved him unconditionally. That's when he came to a realization that he actually mumbled aloud within the form of a whisper so delicate that one could shatter it with ease, "Why is it that love is so slow to gain, but it is easy to lose that same love within the blink of an eye...?"
Akuma now silently stood in the doorway with a gentle frown laced upon his face as he gave a soft reply, "I'm glad that you finally have come to your senses and you are now recognizing the mistakes that you have made. Me saying it doesn't make this any easier, nor does it make the pain you are feeling subside."
As annoying as it was, Izuna was now used to Akuma showing up whenever he felt like it to rub salt in his metaphorical wound. Slowly tilting his head, the first demon king then sighed heavily, "Izuna... just go and find her..."
Subtly shaking his head at this, tears began to trickle down his ivory skin as he shakily replied, "I do not deserve to see her ever again. There's nothing that I could ever say or do to make amends for what I have done to her heart. The only thing that I ever seemed to do for her was create unnecessary suffering and anxiety..."
It took him this long to figure that one out?
Walking forward, that's when Akuma noticed the darkened skin assaulting around Izuna's crimson orbs, "Izuna...? When was the last time you slept a full night...?" The pain in his heart then magnified greatly, causing him to turn to his side and mumble out, "I haven't slept since I released Indra as my eternal mate..."
An entire two months... he had gone two WHOLE months without sleep and that worried the first demon king immensely.
"Izuna, as the leader of my elite forces, you HAVE to have sleep to make the correct choices for the people who follow you," Akuma scolded angrily, making the long haired raven roll onto his back again so that he could look his king in his eyes, "Forgive my insolence, but I do not deserve the luxury of sleeping... not until she is back in my arms. Then again, that will never happen and I will never sleep again if that is to be the case."
Now, THAT worried Akuma to no ends.
Walking to Izuna's desk, the first demon king sat down and began to write a letter, 'Hey sis... sorry to bother you, but I need to tell you something very important. Ever since Izuna erased your mating mark, he has been forcing himself to stay awake and it has been greatly affecting the demon clans losses. The casualties have been extremely high, sis. If you could come home for just ONE day and stay with Izuna... I'd appreciate it a lot.'
Pausing the note to blow his bangs up, Akuma then continued, 'If I know you, you will immediately throw this letter in the trash or scold me about continuing a war that I don't even want to be having in the first place. The demon clan has also been going through a MASSIVE shortage of food as of now and that is really hurting. Izuna has also been removed as one of the eternal rulers and now lives within the royal castle. Please think it over, okay? -Love, Akuma.'
"Akuma... don't even think about sending that," the raven haired male mumbled in an all too exhausted tone that basically screamed that he was in desperate need of rest.
Looking over to Izuna, the demon king then slowly nodded, "As you wish..." All though he said the words, Akuma stashed the letter within his cloak before grabbing some blank parchment and crumpling it up, only to toss it in the trash. Standing, Akuma then peered at Izuna sadly, "Try to get some rest Izuna..."
Walking out of the room before the "young" man could even answer him, he then placed his seal on the letter and teleported it to the blade of Hikari due to not knowing where in the hell his little sister even was. Since he knew Hikari's magical aura, he could easily send it to her and Indra would receive the note that had been written without him finding out as to where she was even located in the first place.
Another issue was the fact that Madara had returned home after half a month once Indra and Izuna's mating marks had been erased due to his little sister's disappearance, only claiming, "Indra merely vanished the following morning. Forgive me, Akuma, I wish that I had paid more attention to her obvious signs of distress." There was also the stressful fact that not long after he had erased the mating mark, Izuna was quick to fall from grace as the last standing eternal ruler.
All Akuma could do now, was speak using the slang of the mortals that Madara had taught him, "This sucks ass..."
Releasing a shaky breath, Izuna had to force himself to stay awake by sleepily standing and walking outside into the snow before placing his head under a freezing waterfall, causing his eyes to fully open as his breath hitched within his throat. He was overly exhausted at this moment and it was almost as if he simply wanted to just give up at this point in time.
As usual, Izuna began to feel the warmth of his own tears sliding down his cheeks to mix with the ice cold waterfall. Digging his fingernails into the rock wall that his hands were placed upon, blood began to slide down from the tips of his fingers to trickle down that very same wall sadly. He knew that he had absolutely NO reason to be feeling such misery, but here he was... feeling sorry for himself.
Akuma walked back to Izuna's room at that moment, only for his eyes to widen once he looked out of the window to see blood sliding from underneath Izuna's fingernails to grace his ivory skin that his arms possessed. Peering down for a moment and sighing heavily, the first demon king then walked from the castle and into the snow that had stuck to the ground.
DAMN IT WAS FREEZING!
Shivering slightly as he carried a warm blanket, he knew far too well that this would be playing dirty... but he used his concealment magic to appear as if he were Indra in every way possible from her body type, to the tone of her voice, and even mimicked her magic power signature to truly appear as if he were her, "Izuna...? What are you doing...? You are going to catch your death, I swear..."
Feeling his eyes widen immensely, he then pulled his head back and turned to see Indra before sleepily mumbling, "I-Indra...?" Nodding at the comment, the concealed male then walked forward and yanked the long haired raven out of the water, only to swiftly bundle his body up with the blanket and speaking softly, "Come on, big brother told me that you haven't gained any sleep in two months. Don't even think of arguing with me. Now, let's go."
This made Akuma feel SO bad that he was even doing this, but pride be damned, he would make sure that his highest ranking officer gained some much needed rest so that he didn't idiotically get a mass platoon slaughtered just because he made a stupid call. If he didn't get any sleep, Akuma would have no choice but to replace him with his older brother.
Back in Izuna's room, the concealed Akuma then awkwardly got into bed with the young man and cuddled up; which only served to put the physically and mentally exhausted male to sleep within a few moments.
As of now, Indra slowly made her way throughout the wilderness and came to a stop the moment a letter appeared in her hands. Sighing heavily, the beautiful brunette then opened the parchment to make the great attempt to decipher her big brother's horrid handwriting. Once she finally did decode the message, Indra then peered towards the heavens before whispering softly, "He's not sleeping...?"
Sighing heavily and peering down, Indra then sat down and pulled her own parchment paper out; but quickly found that she could not find any words to actually write down. That right there was enough to make her internally groan before whispering softly, "Knowing big brother... he probably got so sick of Izuna acting like a dumbass and transformed into me to force him to sleep."
She didn't know why... but that thought actually comforted her.
Frowning heavily now, she was just about to summon Tendo to sleep on for the night until a deep voice spoke out, "What do we have here? A mort- wait, what even are you?" Snapping her orbs up, Indra darted her orbs around, but couldn't find anyone. Turning around... that's when she saw it... it was one of the nine tailed beasts that resided on the surface; the nail tailed fox.
Used to this question in a sense, Indra then sighed heavily, "I am half angel and half demon. My name is Indra." The nine tailed fox's tails began to flick around as his bright red orbs stared intently at the female, "A hybrid. I see." That was the FIRST time that someone had actually had the balls to call her a hybrid and wasn't so sure that she liked this dumb fox's tone.
Scowling heavily at the nine tailed fox, she then cleared her throat slightly, "It is common courtesy to share your own name after the other person... or beast... has given their name." Blinking rapidly, the nine tailed fox then snickered, "My name is Kurama and as you can clearly see, I am the nine tailed fox."
Finally, they were making progress...
Nodding her head slightly, the brunette then sighed softly, "Please excuse me, Kurama." Kurama was about to ask what she had meant until Indra held her arms up with her palms facing the heavens, "COME FORTH ANCIENT AND SACRED GUARDIAN BEAST FROM THE HEAVENS! TENDO!" With a rough slam to the ground, Tendo appeared from his portal and darted his crystal blue orbs to the side, "Lady Indra, is this our oppo- Kurama, is that you!?"
Tendo laid his body down for Indra to snuggle up close and quickly fall asleep, only for the white wolf to sigh heavily, "I am going to guess that you are still trying to find a vessel to reside within, Kurama. As you know, I can perform the seal... but I would hate to do it to my mistress... especially if she were to get captured and you were extracted from her, only to kill her. You should just allow her to summon you."
Thinking this over for a moment, Kurama then nodded, "Very well, I can already sense as to how strong she is. Her right eye and right side of her arm are not normal either, are they?" Tendo then shook his head, "No, she holds the Jogan and Kama, but her left eye holds the Rinnegan. She has been keeping herself away from the heavens due to her former mate that resides within the demon clan."
Nodding to this, Kurama was about to stand until Indra's voice tiredly rang out, "Tendo, just grant his wish and seal him within. All of the nine tailed beasts were banished from the heavens, so their magic is unnaturally weak compared to what it once was and should be."
Shaking his head, he then peered to the nine tailed fox and grumbled softly, "Lady Indra, that is something that I cannot do." Scowling at the white wolf, Indra huffed, "And WHY not? Please do enlighten me, Tendo!"
Kurama then chuckled, "Me being sealed inside of you can endanger you, but, using me as a summon will grant me just as much magic power that I would normally hold; but this way, I will hold no risk to you as a whole. I will be held within a pocket of space that is filled with magic, much like Tendo here. So there really is no need to put your life in danger." Tendo then shot a glare to the fox and growled, "Just keep her safe Kurama."
There was not much else he could do but agree to the term Tendo had laid out for him, "Very well. I will lend her my power as often as possible. However, the longer us tailed beasts' summoner's are away from their homeland... the faster I will run out of magic power, which will be the cause of my imminent death."
Tendo then huffed heavily and agreed, "Yes, I am aware of that factor because it is the same for me. Lady Indra, please do take care." With that, Tendo vanished back into his portal to gain much needed magical energy.
Once the task was accomplished and Kurama now held a summoning contract with the little lady, he vanished into his new pocket of space to refuel, making Indra chuckle softly the moment he took a good portion of her magical power and came right back out to speak sternly, "All right Indra, I am going to train you on how to use the magic of the Sages and how to fully link with me."
Turning towards Kurama, Indra tilted her head slightly, "Fully... link...?" The nine tailed fox merely flicked his nine tails around in an almost playful manner as he began nodding, "Yes, fully link. By fully linking, we will not only share one another's pain, but you will also be able to allow me to take over your conscious and speak through you."
Kurama then chuckled softly at Indra's dumbfounded facial expression before continuing, "As a bonus, you will also be able to not only summon a pure magical form of me, but you will be able to give or take magic power voluntarily, at will. There is also the fact that you will be able to use some of my abilities as well. I will say this though, your appearance will slightly alter when you use the normal, as I call it, nine tails cloak mode."
Wonderful... more changes to her appearance.
Lying down to not waste the magic that he had taken from the little lady, he then spoke again, "Let us begin with the magic of the Sages, so sit down and clear your mind. Be sure to stay as still as possible, all right?" Sitting down and peering towards Kurama, he then had to add in another comment that had her blowing her bangs upward, "Also, you will temporarily change in appearance once you master this technique as well."
Indra had heard of the magic of the Sages, but wasn't exactly sure as to how one used spells without being born with the magical circuits that any race able to use spells held within their bodies since birth. The race of Saints and Cultists were born with lesser magical circuits, so this was entirely different. Humming softly, the hybrid then asked in a puzzled tone, "Kurama, how is it that the Sages even use magic?"
Chuckling softly at the question, Kurama then replied respectfully to his summoner, "I am surprised that you have not figured that one out as of yet. Well, you see, the entire world is filled with magic. At first, it was believed that only the heavens held magical properties and that's why it was originally forbidden for heaven dwellers to even come to the surface. Due to these beliefs, us tailed beasts were sent down here so that we would die. However, nature itself holds magic."
This just about had her eyeballs popping out of her skull as she sat forward, "WAIT, NATURE HOLDS MAGIC POWER!?" Kurama then nodded his head, "Yes. However, it can be dangerous to be taught this method if not trained correctly. So, since I know how to handle it, I will be training you. Once you have mastered the power of the Sages, then we will move on to the link."
"Calm yourself, sense your surroundings and sense the magic... once you have found it, use your will to extract the magic from nature and begin to draw it inside of you-" right at that moment, Kurama witnessed the air violently swirling around Indra as she sat so still that one could mistake her for a statue as she pulled nature magic inside of her body.
At that point... all he could do was think was one thing, 'She... she is already doing it perfectly...'
It had been one month since Indra had come into contact with Kurama and was already a perfect Sage magic wielder. No one had ever learned how to use, much less perfect, the art of how the Sages used magic. However, now it was time to learn how to fully link with the nine tailed fox.
After grasping the concept so easily, Indra had sent Kurama into his pocket of magical space to fully recharge all of his lost magical energy.
One month after doing absolutely nothing but resting his body, Kurama was summoned and the two began to train, "All right, now we are going to work on fully linking together. Place your right hands' fingertips engulfed with magic on your belly and twist it clockwise. You will feel immense pressure and discomfort at first, but that is to be expected."
Nodding her head at the explanation, Indra felt slightly nervous about this one, but took that fearless leap forward the moment the massive fox vanished from sight. Placing her hand on her belly that was, at the moment, bare; the brave brunette then engulfed the tips of her fingers with magical power before twisting the contract held on her belly clockwise.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained...
Suddenly, it felt as if a gate that she had never even witnessed in her entire life had just swung wide open and the immense pressure Kurama had explained prior was most definitely felt. Gritting her teeth slightly, but keeping her eyes fully open; Indra watched in complete disbelief as a golden short sleeved, but long, cloak appeared over her body with tribal designs sliding all the way from the sleeves to the top of both of her hands.
At that point, her entire attire had now changed... the white thigh-high dress with a slit up the right thigh to give her freedom of movement, the separate sleeve adorning her right arm to hide her Kama, and even her thigh-high boots shifted to a black coloration with golden swirls.
She didn't notice it herself, but her light sapphire orb had shifted to a bright golden orb to match the coloration that her skin and attire now possessed. However, she was privileged enough to be graced with the sight of the mass amounts of her, normally, brunette locks that now fluttered around her become golden.
All she could do was stare in absolute disbelief at this point. There was so much magical power radiating from her body that even a mortal would actually be able to witness the magic that acted like flames flicking off of her entire body. Kurama's voice was then heard from within her mind, 'You are doing very well Indra. Now, enter fully linked mode to summon the pure magical form of my body.'
Narrowing her eyes as if she knew what to do at this point, the beautiful brunette held a single hand out, "NOW COME TO MY SIDE, KURAMA!" The nine tailed fox's pure magical form then manifested and lifted Indra inside of it, only to appear as if she were the brain of this much magic considering the fact that a black magical tether kept the two together.
"This is our first transformation and the link is not perfect yet. You have about five minutes before it wears off and if I weren't a summon, most of your magical energy would most likely be gone should you go into battle. Luckily, you are in my magical form so the loss of magic does not apply to you because I will always keep your body completely rejuvenated; much like the angelic spell Rejuvenate," Kurama explained in his darkened tone.
Gathering nature energy, Indra's head then snapped to the side to see a massive ball of dark magic. It was no secret that all of the tailed beasts were created by the demon race to win wars. However, once the war they had participated in had come to its conclusion, the damage was catastrophic and both the race of demons and angels came to a quick agreement.
That agreement was that all of the nine tailed beasts were too dangerous, too destructive... they couldn't allow them to run around loose any longer. So they were sent to the surface to be... eliminated.
"INDRA, SNAP OUT OF IT! THAT IS WHAT WE CALL A TAILED BEAST BOMB! I AM THE STRONGEST OUT OF ALL NINE TAILED BEASTS, SO GO-" the nine tailed fox yelled in a panic, but was quick to notice that the pretty little lady was already gone from his magical form. Reaching the area, Indra's eyes widened to see the infamous hellfire cat that had been mixed with a mass amount of darkness, but quickly held her hand out to stop the assault, "Hey, hold on!"
The massive feline's head shot down to now be pointing that attack at the hybrid. Blinking rapidly and most definitely confused, the hellfire feline allowed the attack to vanish as a rather feminine voice rang out, "Huh... Kurama found himself a summoner, did he? I must ask though, what exactly are you? If you are a demon, make no mistake that you will die."
Internally groaning, Kurama then pulled Indra inside of her inner mind, "Indra, allow me to speak to Matatabi. If we take that course of action, it will definitely gloss over a lot smoother." Nodding her head and concentrating, the two then switched. Opening her eyes, her right eye now shined a brilliant bright red. Her mouth moved, but Kurama's voice was the one to project, "Matatabi, do not kill this girl."
A huff was then released Matatabi's part, "Kurama, why is this girl so important and what exactly IS she?" Kurama's voice then spoke out, "This is Indra, she is a product of an angel and a demon. She offered to take me in as a summon to regain any and all magic that I had lost. She has a kind and loving heart, keep that in mind once we switch back." All Matatabi could do... was agree to the terms.
Once Indra blinked, her golden eye set back into place and she smiled gently, "Your name is Matatabi, right? I am going to offer you thing same thing that I offered Kurama. Become one of my summons like Kurama and Tendo so that you can regain what was wrongfully taken from you. Believe me... I understand your pain far too well. Being born a hybrid of both angel and demon, I was always an outcast and shunned for something that I could not change."
Matatabi listened to Indra's story and offer... but what got to her was the moment the beauty began to shed silent tears. Flattening her ears to her skull, her two toned orbs then softened before nodding, "Very well, I accept your offer and will now be one of your summons. Indra, step forward and extend your hand." Stepping forward, Indra then held her hand out and Matatabi placed her contract on the top of the hybrid's left hand.
Once the contract was completed, the hellfire feline then gave her thanks and pounced into her brand new portal to her very own pocket of space filled with magical energy to refuel.
As time began to pass, Indra was now able to perfectly fully link with both Kurama and Matatabi. Taking a step forward, Indra almost fell forward, but quickly caught herself by placing a hand against a tree. She hadn't realized as to how dangerously low she was on magic due to the three summons she now had.
"Man... how much more idiotic can I be?" Tears filled her eyes as she lifted a single hand to where her mating mark had once resided with the hopes that Izuna would be able to provide some sort answer for her through a telepathic link. Taking in a shaky breath, Indra allowed for her feathery white angel wings to appear, but froze momentarily until shaking her head abruptly and patting her face before taking off to the heavens.
Absolute madness.
'Indra, are you sure that you should go back to the heavens...?' Kurama and Matatabi's voices echoed throughout her mind thanks to their summoning contracts, making her nod, "Yes, you three need the magical power and I have gone far too long without returning to get the full nourishment that my magical circuits need." With that simplistic reply, the beautiful young lady pushed faster.
Reaching the kingdom of the angel race, Indra gracefully landed and anxiously peered from side to side to see no angels out and about, "What the...? No one is here."
Snapping her head around, she could clearly sense as to where the race of angels now resided and that made her groan softly. Darting towards the area that she could clearly sense the entire race of angels, Indra then hovered above the familiar scene of a battlefield. No matter how many battles she had been in, the stench of blood and death was something that she would never become fully accustomed to.
Lowering her body to land on the ground, Kurama and Matatabi both instantly yelled, 'INDRA, LOOK OUT!' Snapping her head around, the two people that mirrored one another then gained shocked facial expressions. A hate filled scowl was quick to lace upon her face before yanking out her rapier of light and darting forward.
Izuna stood frozen momentarily before glaring down at the ground. He thought about how much he loved this woman, but remembered that he had reinstated the curse so the both of them could NEVER formally mate again. He would never allow her to feel such sorrow ever again, so he stood still and allowed for her to stab him through... the shoulder?
Tilting his head up to look at her pained face as she pulled the blade out, he couldn't say a word as she turned to walk away.
Anger filled him as he reached out and lightly grasped her hair, forcing her to halt, "INDRA, STOP!" All of this rage that filled her orbs continued to fill up as her orbs darted around to see many young demons that resembled her former mate so much. Placing her hand over her her belly, she then twisted it clockwise and her bangs began to flutter violently as her body gave off an immense amount of magical energy.
Crimson orbs became widened at that moment and he quickly jumped away from the immense pressure that he was now feeling. He had felt it alright, a lot of his magical power had just been siphoned off by an unseen force.
All he could do was watch as a mixture of golden and blue glowing short sleeved cloak appeared over her sparkling white dress that had turned black with golden and blue details. Her skin had also gained a glowing golden and blue tint and black patterns appeared on her arms and hands. Her hair had even changed into a mixture of a golden and blue coloration
Holding a single hand out, Indra then shouted out angrily, "NOW COME TO MY SIDE, KURAMA AND MATATABI!" Knowing that she wasn't summoning them to aid her as a whole, the two simply appeared and Indra pointed towards Izuna, "Take a good smell of this demon and then find any that smell like him before KILLING them!"
Neither were going to argue with their summoner, so they did as told while Indra then held her arms up with her palms facing the heavens, "COME FORTH ANCIENT AND SACRED GUARDIAN BEAST FROM THE HEAVENS! TENDO!"
Tendo came crashing down to the battlefield and merely nodded towards his summoner before taking off. Noticing Akuma, Indra grabbed her blade of Hikari and slowly stalked forward like an overly pissed off tigress. That slow pace turned into a light jog... and that light jog quickly broke into a high speed run.
Reaching him in little to no time, she could care less as to how shocked he appeared as of now, but didn't understand as to why he looked so distressed when he wasn't even looking at her. Well, she gained a tad bit of insight to that question soon enough as he then muttered and stuttered out nervously, "N-No... It's Kurama and Matatabi - oh, hey sis... - Who would be so FOOLISH to bring THOSE abominations on holy ground!?"
He called these vile blood stained lands... holy...
Lunging forward, Indra rammed her blade through her older brother's chest. All though neither her or Izuna stood as the eternal rulers any longer, his curse of everlasting life and longevity still remained; as did her own and Izuna's.
Akuma held one hell of a shocked expression as he coughed up an immense amount of blood while an all too familiar voice then rang out, "LORD AKUMA ARE YOU AL... - INDRA," the bored, yet happy tone projected out as Madara rushed up and swooped the little lady up in his bulky arms before twirling her around.
Basically squishing her at this point, Indra struggled to breathe, but knew far too well that he would not release her until she hugged back. Tears flooded her eyes and her arms tightly wrapped around his strong neck to pull him close to her. This shocked the hell out of the moody male, but he was NOT complaining in the slightest.
Nuzzling his nose into her hair to breathe in her sweet scent, the moody male then leaned back and peered at the little lady's appearance, "Indra, what's with the blue, gold, and black look? I must say, you are looking rather fierce as of now." Blinking rapidly at this exclamation, Indra then chuckled and finally granted Madara ONE of his wishes just as Izuna's all too pissed off face approached.
Taking Madara's face into her hands, she slowly brought his face down and placed her lips to his. Would he pass this golden opportunity up? I should think not. It was his policy to take whatever he deemed to be his in the first place.
All Izuna could do was freeze at this sight. In his mind, the very picture presented before him merely painted the picture of his many transgressions towards his former mate. He couldn't understand any of this, yet then had to ask himself as to how he could honestly expect Indra to remain alone for the rest of her life when she held so much love and life within her very body and soul.
However, something wasn't right and he could feel that all too well...
Abruptly clearing his throat at the two, Akuma then gave a sly grin as he ripped the blade of Hikari out of his chest before peering at Izuna and snickering, "Well now, considering Madara hasn't fooled with any women for a VERY long time now, I would have to say that you two make a perfect couple!" Izuna's orbs instantly darkened at this proclamation and stormed forward, "Are you saying that Indra should be mated to MADARA of all people, Akuma!?"
Blinking rapidly, all Akuma could do was laugh before speaking in an all too clever tone that would fool anyone, "Indeed! The both of them spent many human years together and let's just say that I know all of their... secrets..." This one comment instantly caused Indra to begin blushing furiously as Madara lifted a single brow, "So... in other words, you spied on us."
Scoffing, the first demon king then folded his arms, "She IS my sister! I was worried about her wellbeing! Though... some of the things, I kind of wish I could unsee..." Indra instantly snapped around in Madara's tender hold on her... but finally understood her big brother's game, "Oh, you saw when we played?" Madara then gave a lofty sigh, obviously understanding the game as well, "It's too bad that we never had any spawns for you to call your family."
At this point, Izuna's face was draining of any and all color that had once been present. However, he could not say a single thing in return to any of this until shouting, "THEN WHY WOULD YOU COME TO THE DEMON REALM AND SLEEP BESIDE ME!?" Akuma instantly darted his eyes upward and softly whistled before Indra began to laugh hysterically, "B-BIG BROTHER, YOU TRANSFORMED INTO ME TO MAKE HIM SLEEP!?"
Izuna then glanced at the first demon king in sheer and utter annoyance, "You did what!?" Akuma then skickered softly as he gave an answer, "You were getting our troops killed by sending them out on fools errands just because you were exhausted, so I didn't really have a choice! Besides, it was just as horrible for me as it was for you, so don't give me any nonsense regarding the issue at hand!"
How utterly embarrassing...
The battle was apparently now over with considering Kurama and Matatabi were now just sitting around to soak up magical power and were then hastily recalled back into their own portals, yet Tendo padded over to his mistress and plopped down, "Lady Indra, if I may be so bold..." Turning her head towards the sparkly white wolf, all the hybrid did was nod before he continued, "I believe that Madara would make a fine mate for you."
Indra smiled softly as she spoke, "I will carefully consider your proclamation, Tendo. For now, you may leave; for I must go to the demon capital and help out there in any way that I can. I fear that your presence would only strike terror into all of their hearts." Nodding his head, Tendo then jumped into his portal as Madara held a single gloved hand out to her, "Shall we?"
Nodding her head, the angelic and demonic hybrid then placed her own gloved hand into the moody male's before the two allowed their wings to appear, yet something stopped her as she turned her head back towards the battlefield. Those cries of pain, the groans of the injured, and the desperate gasps of the dying caused Indra's wings to vanish before tugging Madara along with her towards the poor unfortunate souls that had been abandoned on the battlefield to die.
Her hand slightly tightened around Madara's for desperately needed comfort as he followed her trembling lead, already knowing what she was going to do at this point as his crimson orbs dulled and saddened slightly. Darting her singular light sapphire orb towards this brute of a man, Indra kept her thoughts to herself, 'M-Maybe... Just maybe I could be happy with him...'
Healing the injured was all she could do now. She no longer had the power to bring those who were dead back to the realm of the living. Finding a dying demonic male, she lowered her body to his with tears filled in her eyes before lifting him into her arms as he softly gurgled out, "L-Lady Indra... please... I do not wish to die..." Tears began to drip down her face as she held him close, "F-Forgive me... your pain will soon come to an end..."
The demonic male appeared so hurt as of this moment due to the fact that she was no longer capable of saving anyone from death; which showed entirely on his face. This only caused for her say something that she would possibly regret within the near future, "I-Izuna... mark me..." Akuma then took a gentle step forward holding a soft frown upon his facial features, "Sis... it doesn't work that way..."
Hunching her body over this demon's dying body, Indra continued to sob as Madara kneeled beside her and held her close, "Indra... h-he's gone..." A deepened frown of obvious sorrow then graced Indra's face the moment she placed the deceased demon on the ground and wrapped her arms around the moody demon's neck tightly, "M-MADARA, WHAT HAVE I DONE!?"
Stroking her back tenderly to comfort the hybrid to ease her suffering, his saddened orbs basically said everything that she couldn't see as he then released a sorrowful tone, "Indra... you can't save everyone that lives within this world. Please, do not blame yourself. I would rather place all of the blame upon my own shoulders..." This comment only caused the hybrid to grasp Madara's neck tighter as the beauty continued to sob remorsefully.
Izuna instantly looked away at the sight before him while harshly gritting his teeth and clenching his fists, "Izuna, you can't put her at fault for finding comfort within Madara's arms instead of your own... You simply have done too much damage to her heart for her to come to you for anything." Akuma whispered out, then released a heavy sigh before he folded his arms and took a few steps forward to lift his "sister" up, "Dry your eyes sis. This is what it means to be at war..."
As if she didn't know that already...
Wiping her eyes and standing up, Indra then nodded her head towards Akuma while holding a determined look within her single showing orb, "Right, let's go." Four sets of wings then appeared before all set off towards the kingdom of the demons. Her shimmering white dress fluttering behind her, Izuna could only stare at how beautiful she still was in his eyes as they continued on to the kingdom of demons.
After a while of staring and secretly admiring the beautiful brunette, Izuna then tilted his head to look down so that he no longer had the privilege of gazing upon such perfection. Once the group passed through the barrier, Izuna instantly felt a sharp pain to his heart and his head snapped up. It wasn't possible for the two to still be connected, but he felt something was wrong entirely.
"IT'S THE QUEEN," many voices shouted as the starving civilians and soldiers alike pointed to the sky, making Akuma slightly puff his cheeks up. Once landed, Indra instantly realized as to how bad their situation was and held her hands up, "O' heavens! Free these souls from famish and sorrow! Revive!" Turning her head towards Akuma with a frown, he understood it all too well, "I know... this spell doesn't actually give them the nutrients that they need..."
My god, how could have things become this out of control during her absence!?
Folding her arms, she then sighed before speaking up, "ALL OF THOSE WHO ARE FAMILIAR WITH GROWING FOOD, PLEASE FOLLOW ME! IF YOU HAVE NO TRAIT, PLEASE FOLLOW ME AS WELL!" Many stood and began to follow Indra to a massive field that had once been used for growing their own food, but had summarily been turned into training grounds for the soldiers.
Coming to a stop, she then pointed to the grounds, "This soil is very fertile and was once used for crops. Take a good portion of it and turn it into fields for food. I decree that all food for the first three moon cycles will be free so that you all stay alive." Soldiers then rushed up to her with an angered face, "THESE ARE OUR TRAINING GROUNDS! YOU ARE JUST WANTING FOR US ALL TO DIE IN BATTLE!"
Snapping towards the soldiers yelling this, the feisty brunette sulked forward with determination filling her orbs before coming to a halt, "NO! I WANT YOU ALL TO LIVE! YOU ARE CUT OFF FROM ANY AND ALL SUPPLIES THAT THE ANGELS ONCE HAPPILY SUPPLIED YOU WITH! BESIDES, THIS WAS ORIGINALLY FARM LAND TO BEGIN WITH! BESIDES, YOU HAVE A SECOND TRAINING GROUND!"
Akuma then chuckled softly, "It's true. The training grounds were much smaller to begin with and this was originally farm land." With that, everyone began to pitch in to help with the growth of their own foods so that they didn't end up becoming an extinct race due to famine, war, and constant hardships that no one even knew how to overcome.
Indra stayed put and even helped with the plowing of the lands before many seeds were planted. Everyone looked towards the "queen" with hopeful eyes and she stayed still until all were about to lose hope, "O' HEAVENS, I BESEECH THEE! SHOW US YOUR GOOD GRACES AND ALLOW FOR THESE PLANTS TO BEGIN TO FLOURISH!" With that... each and every single plant began to grow at a rapid pace until it was harvesting time.
Sighing, the brunette then smiled, "I am happy that I could give you all hope when you felt as if you had none to begin with. This spell will also continue for three month cycles, but after that, the care is up to all of your strengths. I know you have the power to do it!" Akuma then chuckled and gave his little sister a big squishing hug, "You restored all of the hope and happiness held within the kingdom. Thank you sis."
Flying off to her favorite floating island and sitting once arrived with her wings folded to her back, Indra sighed, "Hikari, come please." Appearing out of her blade, Hikari then sat beside Indra in spirit form. Hikari began to speak of many things while Indra merely sat there with a glossed over gaze of sadness. Just as Hikari was about to inquire as to what was ailing her, massive rocks began to fall from the cliff of the waterfall... only for Hikari to yell out...
"INDRA, WATCH OUT!"
The warning went unnoticed and unacknowledged until it was too late and all slammed on top of the brunette, yet she was still alive. Lying on her stomach completely unconscious, white feathers from her wings began to flutter around as she bled. Not knowing what to do, she knew of one person she could always count on... Akuma, "AKUMA, YOUR SISTER! FOLLOW MY MAGIC, HURRY, SHE IS IN DANGER!"
As of now Akuma was in a war strategy counsel that he didn't even want to be in due to having no interest in at all to be at war when he got the urgent call. With widened eyes, he noticed Izuna's more than distracted facial expression and hastily yelled out, "IZUNA, GO! IT'S INDRA!" With widened orbs, Izuna darted out of the kingdom and took to the skies as fast as possible to get to the woman he loved.
Reaching her bloodied form, crimson orbs widened immensely as he rushed towards the unconscious crushed angel. Lifting all of the boulders off of her and throwing them off, he then lifted Indra's body into his arms before darting back to the kingdom. Lowering his body once at the castle, Izuna then ran inside and hastily placed Indra inside the waters of healing.
Akuma quickly ran inside of the room with widened eyes, "S-She's not self-regenerating...?" Izuna then looked back at Akuma with a worried face, "What does that mean...?" The first demon king then looked down as he spoke softly, "She's not dead... but neither is she awake. I fear that this battle has taken its tole on the heavens, so we must take it to the surface..."
In human years, four-thousand years had now gone by and the race of humans use of technology, unfortunately, had not improved much by this point in time. The race of demons were far along in their scheme to conquer the realm of the mortals and the angel race had caught on three-thousand years prior; leaving their involvement to liberate humanity to start one-thousand years once the battle began.
Humans now fought alongside the race of angels, whom were also now united with the races of Vampires, Pixies, and Mermaids; which were the most recent of the races to be tormented by the demon race through a long, but slow process of suffocation. The race of Pixies had long lives and were constantly having their wings slowly ripped off as a form of torture. The race of Vampires were having silver thrown at them to stun them, or had their hearts slowly staked.
The race of Humans were having their limbs, including their tongues, slowly ripped out... and the race of Angels had the mixture of torture that the Pixies and Human races held. Izuna had grown rather cold in his agonizing four-thousand year separation from Indra as he fiercely yelled out with his sword of Akuma pointed forward, "DEMON RACE, GO AND LEAVE NONE ALIVE!"
Yikes...
All demons darted towards the village inhabited by Humans and with ease; tortured, humiliated, and murdered the helpless families attempting to run for their lives. Akuma knew that if Indra would have witnessed this, she would have turned her back on him AND Izuna without a second thought.
Fear was all the surface dwellers could feel now. The anxiety of the possibility of having their homes and towns destroyed, along with their families, presented the ultimate concoction of war against the race of demons. All though there was now an alliance between the five races, the surface, along with that very same alliance were taking massive damage.
Once the day of battling was over with, the leader of the elite demonic forces returned back to the castle and with a melancholy face, entered the room holding the waters of healing chamber... only to see Indra's lifeless form before sitting beside her and tenderly lifting her hand within his own. Looking at her sleeping form, Izuna's crimson orbs then filled with tears before it rolled down his face for the first time and fortunately dripped into the waters of healing.
Gripping her silky hand tightly, he then lowered his head before softly mumbling, "I-Indra... f-forgive me. P-Please just wake up..." Within her mind, Indra was frantically screaming, "IZUNA! I'M RIGHT HERE!" For some odd reason though... he had actually heard this voice; causing for his head to snap up and look around frantically with widened orbs, "I-INDRA!?"
Right at that moment, Akuma walked inside of the room looking saddened himself. What wiped all of his own tears away was the long haired raven's shouting, causing him to question, "Izuna? Is something wrong?" His eyes becoming dull once more, Izuna lightly shook his head as he stood up, "N-No... forgive my outburst..." The first demon king merely gave a solemn nod as he replied, "You're fine Izuna. You must be tired... go and get some sleep..."
All he could do was nod in reply...
The next day of fierce battles came all too quickly and once noon hit, Indra's eyes slowly opened fully. Weakly sitting up and toppling out of the chamber, which caused quite a ruckus in the process; which in terms had the demonic guards rushing inside of the room while yelling, "WHO GOES THERE!?" However, the sight in front of their very eyes widen immensely, "Q-QUEEN INDRA!?"
Not bothering to answer them due to being disorientated, Indra stumbled towards her white sparkling belt that still held the blade of Hikari and placed both lazily on her hips. The guards quickly shook their head and rushed to catch up to the "queen" before oh-so diligently informing her, "Lord Izuna and Lord Madara, along with your brother - King Akuma, are all on the surface currently engaged in war."
Strange...
"On... the surface?" Indra queried in a soft tone, making both guards nod, "Yes milady! In the realm of the humans, vampires, pixies, and mermaids! The race of demons plan to take over the surface!" With a single dismissive wave of her hand, the two guards then bowed respectively towards the hybrid that had managed to save their kingdom and rushed back to their positions.
The moment they were gone, Indra's eyes narrowed dangerously before she hastily bolted from the palace and jumped off of the edge of the heavens. Bracing herself for impact, Indra then slammed to the ground and many bones shattered in the process before healing up with ease.
Sensing Akuma's magical power, the brunette hybrid darted forward and the moment she witnessed Akuma, she took a single step forward filled with rage. Akuma has his sword pointed forward while yelling, "DO AS YOUR FIRST IN COMMAND HAS ORDERED!" None of the demons that had witnessed Indra's obvious fury could budge a single inch though.
"FREEZE TIME!" Indra yelled with a snarl. Once time froze in its tracks, she then sulked up to Akuma and slammed her fist across his face and instantly snapped her fingers, which unfroze time so that his head WOULD whip to the side. Looking shocked, Akuma couldn't even manage to mumble a single word the moment he witnessed his completely pissed off little sister with a nastily bruised fist that hastily healed on its own.
At that moment, Izuna snapped around to shout at the first demon king, only to quickly bring his blade up as Indra drew her own blade and rammed it against his own before yelling, "HOW COULD YOU!?" Hearing the rushing of footsteps, Indra then snapped around and rammed her blade against Madara's with a darkened expression.
Raising her fist, the brunette hybrid then rammed her fist against Madara's cheek and darkly called out, "AKUMA, HEAR MY PLEA AND COME TO ME!" Izuna's blade then shot out of his own hand and instantly rushed towards the furious little lady before being caught. Twirling both blades within her hands, Indra then began to clash both of her blades against the moody demon's single blade as he though, 'DAMN, SHE'S SCARIER THAN IZUNA WITH TWIN BLADES!'
Swiping his blade towards her, the hybrid's wings instantly appeared before she darted into the air. Allowing for his own wings to appear, Madara appeared right below Indra and roughly kicked her so hard in the gut that she began to cough up blood. Akuma witnessed this and darted into the air before grabbing his blade that was falling from her hands and Izuna hastily caught the blade of Hikari before it hit the ground.
Pointing his own soul bound blade towards Madara, Akuma then used his other hand to pull Indra to his chest and bark out, "HOW DARE YOU HARM MY LITTLE SISTER!" Indra immediately began to sob against the first demon king, "H-How could you harm all of these innocent people!?" Akuma then frowned heavily the moment he gave his reply, "It wasn't my choice... The kingdom as a whole wished to conquer. As their king, I cannot deny them their wishes..."
"However... there has been one person out of all people that has missed you the most," the first demon king sadly spoke as he peered down to Izuna, whom now held tear filled orbs. Snapping his attention back to Madara, Akuma then growled out, "If you plan to kill my sister, it isn't possible in the slightest!" Madara gave a lazy fared expression at this comment made, "And you think that I did not know this?"
Duh...
The three within the skies then landed on the ground and the brunette then ripped her blade of Hikari out of Izuna's hold... neither even realizing that his cut closed at a rapid pace as she growled out, "Hold your war then, but do not expect for it to go as planned!" With that Indra vanished and appeared beside her mother, whom appeared shocked, "I-INDRA!?" - "No time for pleasantries, mother. I will lead the vanguard to victory!"
Darting forward, the sassy little lady then yelled out, "SLAUGHTER ALL WHO DARE TO COMPRIMISE THE SAFETY OF ANY RACE! NARUTO, GO NORTH AND PROTECT THE RACE OF VAMPIRES! HASHIRAMA, GO SOUTH TO PROTECT THE RACE OF PIXIES! ASHURA, GO WEST TO PROTECT THE RACE OF MERMAIDS! TAKE PLATOONS AND PROTECT ALL WHO DARE TO COMPROMISE THE SAFETY OF THE INNOCENT!"
Each one of Indra's brothers gave a sharp nod before darting off in the respective destinations that they had been given by their sister. Sulking forward angrily, her hair then fluttered within the wind and Kaguya instantly noticed it... the mark of eternal love had returned. Rushing forward, Indra began to cut down all who dared threatened the safety of all of the helpless mortals that now scrambled to get away.
A demonic soldier then rushed towards Izuna, whom now stood by to watch all of his men, to report as to what was currently ongoing, "REPORT SIR! OUR TROOPS ARE BEGINNING TO TAKE MASSIVE DAMAGE AND LOSSES!" In the back, Akuma softly snickered at this turn of events while thinking loud enough for Indra to hear, 'Good! Maybe this will make the fools think twice about thinking to "conquer" anything while my sister is around!"
Izuna's eyes then narrowed as he spoke darkly, "Continue..." - "R-RIGHT! THE HUMANS HAVE BANNED TOGETHER WITH LADY INDRA!" His orbs then became furious at this point, "DAMN HER ALL TO HELL! MADARA, MOVE IN WITH YOUR COMPANY AND SHOW NO MERCY!" Madara gave a nod and hastily removed his blade before darting forward.
She heard her dunce of a big brother alright, which only made her smile softly and chuckle herself. Chuckling could wait until later though. Someone powerful was now headed in her direction and she knew EXACTLY as to whom this was AND how to deal with him entirely; with the added fact that she would be humiliating his pride as a warrior at the same time.
Doing an ariel flip over a single demon, the feisty brunette then slammed her blade against Madara's and noticed how uncaring his orbs now appeared, "I see that you feel as if you have lost everything, Madara!" Growling angrily, he then began to push her back before spouting something that she did not expect at all, "IT'S BECAUSE I HAVE! THE DAY THAT I THOUGHT I HAD LOST YOU FOR GOOD, MY ENTIRE WORLD TURNED INTO DARKNESS!"
Scowling, Indra then blocked Madara again the moment he swung his blade towards her, only to have the oh so memorable harsh kick to the gut that hurled the moody male all the way to his younger brother that lifted a single brow, only to give a cat-like smirk towards his older brother. Annoyed by this, Madara groaned as he sat up, "What!? Do you think you can do any better, Izuna!?"
All Izuna could do was give a nonchalant nod, yet Madara said something that did not fit the script as he spat out a bit of blood, "You are not qualified to fight Indra!" This made Izuna snap his narrowed orbs towards his older brother dangerously. He knew what he was trying to do... however, that was not possible.
History is not something that can be changed due to the use of a few choice words...
Madara then darted back towards Indra and grasped a second blade on the way, only to hear Izuna within her mind, 'Madara is on his way back. Please be careful Indra... I cannot lose you again...' Annoyed at this, she then dashed towards Madara's incoming magical signature and noticed that he was now dual-wielding. That's when she understood...
"YOU THINK YOU CAN SIMPLY RECREATE THAT FIRST BATTLE WE HAD!? DO YOU HONESTLY BELIEVE THAT I WOULD HAVE STILL PICKED YOU OVER IZUNA!?" Indra furiously yelled as Madara then figured out as to how hard handling twin blades actually was. Jumping into the air and pointing her rapier towards the delusional male, the hybrid then yelled out, "HIKARI, SHINE YOUR LIGHT!"
Madara squinted his eyes as Hikari's blinding light was released and Indra slammed her blade against his duo blades, yet when he could see again... all he witnessed was tears flowing down the beautiful hybrid's face as she grit her teeth, "This time, BOTH Izuna and I WILL DIE!" Akuma heard the comment and felt utterly confused until he glanced towards the long haired raven's hair that was fluttering violently within the wind, only to see the mark of eternal love.
Dumbfounding...
Grasping his chin now, Akuma began to think to himself so that Indra could not hear, 'This shouldn't even be possible... unless... AH DAMMIT ALL TO HELL! THIS IS BECAUSE HE VISITED HER SO OFTEN WHILE SHE WAS IN A COMA!' A sharp pain then hit Izuna and Indra alike, crippling both to their knees. Sweat began to bead down Izuna's face the moment he heard the hybrid's comment as he gasped for air.
Tsuyoi quickly landed beside Izuna and hastily took away his pain, realizing as to what this pain even was without even seeing it. Indra was now gasping for air and her eyes became completely unfocused at this point before muttering, "M-Madara, I know that you love your brother... and forgive me for this... I just can't go through all of that pain again. I refuse to be there for him while he refuses to do the same for me..."
Madara then gave angered narrowed orbs before spitting out, "As if I care..." Tears welled up within the brunette's eyes before looking at Madara, "I put you through so much pain Madara... please forgive me, as I did not intend to do so..." Kneeling down beside the beautiful bewitcher, the moody male then chuckled softly as he wrapped her arm around his shoulder, "As if you ever intended for any of this to happen... I understand your line of thinking though..."
Being lifted to stand on her feet, Madara then sighed heavily, "None of us are guilt-free Indra. We have all committed sins within our lives that will never be forgiven... not within this life, nor the next. So, what you choose to do is entirely up to you; though I do have to say that I will miss teasing you during the midst of battle."
Chuckling weakly as the bulky male's hand wrapped around her waist, Indra then looked up at Madara, "I wish the mark would have chosen you..." Peering down, Madara then gave another lofty sigh, "As do I. Ugh, your mind makes no sense to me. You are once again paired up with Izuna, the man who loves you so much that he has stopped sleeping with other women to prove to you that he can be an honorable man."
Classic confusion.
With his eyes saddening, he then spoke softly, "Though... I must say that I do envy my little brother. The moment I met you, I fell from grace... and I have to say that I fell hard. I wanted you so badly for myself that I did everything that I possibly could to keep the two of you apart, but it would seem as if all of my actions were for nothing. Nothing I did would make you notice me instead of Izuna. It truly is unfair, you know."
Walking Indra to a rather steep cliff as tears began to fill his eyes, he then stopped to say a few parting words, "Indra, get as far away as you possibly can. Considering all celestial beings are eventually reborn, all I can do is ask you graciously... When you do return to the realm, please let your heart choose me..." Indra then peered into Madara's saddened crimson orbs before nodding and squeezing his hand tenderly to reassure his troubled mind, "I promise..."
With that, he released the unstable and pain stricken beauty to stand on her own, drew his sword, and slashed her across her body with so much impact that forced her over the ledge of the cliff before she could ever change her mind. All he could do was watch Indra fall from grace once again, causing Izuna's head to snap in his elder brother's direction with a mortified face before darting in his direction.
Once Izuna got close enough, he skidded to a grinding halt and looked over the cliff to watch in horror due to the fact that he had to bare witness to the women he loved fall out of his reach once again. Swiftly grasping his the collar of his older brother's cloak, he then yelled furiously as tears streaked down his face, "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?" Madara then gave a slight scoff, "She's immortal. If you must know, she was taking our forces down far too quickly."
All Izuna could do at this moment... was stare over cliff with tears dripping down his face...
