CHAPTER 8

As Rory and the gang got off the private plane, they saw reporters standing around, not in the area of the private runway. Frank pulled up and they all piled in. Mitchum told Frank to take them to the New York apartment.
After they had been there for about an hour, Mitchum got a phone call. He short talked the caller. Everyone was listening, hoping that it was new on Logan. Mitchum told them he had to go. Rory and Honor said no, it's about Logan, we want to go no. Mitchum told them no. Stay here. I'll be back shortly.
Mitchum called Frank and met him down stairs. He got in and told Frank to head to the Midtown Precinct South on 35th street. When he arrived, he asked for Chief McDonald. He was shown to a room with Logan, Que and Chief Investigator Onie inside. Logan was glad to see his dad. He had already been checked out by a Doctor. He was dehydrated but fine. They were giving him fluids through an IV.
Mitchum told Logan that the gang was at the New York apartment and they are all worried. Mitchum asked a lot of questions. The detectives, Logan and Que filled him in:
Alec kidnapped Logan while Dean waited at the warehouse. After Que got GPS on the rental Honda, he headed that way with part of the New York City S.W.A.T. team. Who knew that Que or Mitchum had that kind of pull? As they got to the address, the Honda was leaving. Someone followed the Honda while Que and S.W.A.T. entered the building. They rounded a corner, gun out, only to find Logon coming to the stairs. He had a bat in is hand, ready to swing, when he saw Que.
Logan explained to everyone that he had taken the hinges off the door, and was able to surprise a sleeping Dean. He and Dean fought, Logan knocking the Gun out of his hand, and hitting him with the bat. When him and Que got to the room, Dean was just waking up. The cops cuffed him. They all went to the Police Station, where the ones following the Honda had Alec. Alec confused everything. He was not sure what Dean intended to do to Logan other than stop the proposal.
Logan asked if he could leave now? The detectives told Logan they had his information and would getting in touch with him, but it was okay for him to leave. Que stayed behind to answer more questions.
When that got in the car, Logan asked for Mitchum's phone. His was being held for investigation. He called Rory. Rory's phone started ringing. She told the gang, "It's Mitchum". Everyone was holding their breath; they did not know if it was going to be good news or bad.
Rory answered the phone and started to cry. It was Logan. She couldn't speak. Collin grabbed the phone and yelled. "Mitchum, what is it. What did you tell her?" Logan- "Hey Collin it's Logan." Collin told everyone, "it's okay, it's Logan."
In about 30 minutes Logan came through the door at the apartment. He grabbed Rory and hugged her. Everyone was throwing questions at him. He asked if they could please let him take a shower and then he would explain everything. Rory would not let go of him. He had to take her to the bathroom with him.
After his shower he got dressed. He walked into the living room telling them all to sit down and not interrupt. He told them all he knew. He assured Rory that Dean and Alec are locked up, but he would have to testify at their trial if they did not plead guilty. When finished telling everyone they were quiet. No one knew what to say. Logan got up with Rory still holding his hand and put his other hand in he pockets and got down on one knee. "Rory, this is not how I wanted to propose. I have a grand night planned, but I can not wait any longer, Will You Marry Me?"
Rory was crying, she knew what he was going to do. She knew she would say yes, but she couldn't get it out. Finally, Logan said. "Well?" Rory- "YES, YES, YES and they grabbed each other and hugged and kissed.
