A favorite place in the estate of six-year-old Mukuro was the garden, which Elena so painstakingly looked after. Together with their father, they loved to spend time there, especially on clear summer days, when the air temperature reached thirty degrees, the shady garden was an ideal resting place. Today is perfect for a little picnic.
The little illusionist made his way through the berry bushes, he never liked to walk along the path, preferred something unusual and still unknown. In his hands he was holding a small basket of food for a picnic, the boy volunteered to carry it to the right place, because he was already an adult.
"Well, finally, where have you been for so long, speranza*?" I heard the words of Mukuro's father when he went out into the spacious clearing. On it were two people, Demon and Elena, they settled down under a huge tree in the center of the clearing. The girl was sitting on a mat and laying out the food Spade had brought.
"I was exploring a new path," the child declared proudly and put another wicker basket on the mat.
"I'm hungry, what do you say, speranza*?" the blue-haired man smiled and gently patted his child on the head, at which the young fog issued a quiet growl.
"Me too, didn't you put in the chocolate?" asked Rokudo hopefully.
"If it were your will, you would only eat it," Elena laughed, but nevertheless took out several bars of milk chocolate. From what he saw, the boy was drooling and he wanted to take one for himself, but they pulled him back.
"Not so fast, speranza *, first normal food, then sweets," the young illusionist frowned when his father took his favorite chocolate from him.
"Your father is right, speranza *, no sweets before dinner," Elena smiled when Mukuro pouted his lips in displeasure and pointedly turned away.
"It's not fair, why dad can eat sweets whenever he wants, but I can't?" now the girl looked strictly straight into the eyes of her lover.
"Demon Spade, what example do you set for your son?" the blonde crossed her arms over her chest and continued to drill the man with a glance. Little Mist chuckled, he liked sometimes to cause trouble and tease dad, especially in front of Elena.
Demon laughed nervously and blushed slightly. Only the daddy's beloved could shame him and make him apologize "I'm sorry, darling. Little imp," the last phrase was uttered in a whisper to Mukuro, the boy just smiled innocently and showed the older man his tongue when the blonde turned away.
"Okay, you two, stop arguing. It's time for dinner," Elena covered her mouth with her hand so as not to laugh when her two beloved men glared at each other, before both of their stomachs rumbled from hunger and they turned away, trying to hide their embarrassment.
Demon took the place to the right of his beloved, and Mukuro from the left and together began to sandwiches with tuna.
"Hey speranza *, don't eat so fast. No one will take your food from you, and your stomach can get sick," Spade scolded gently when he noticed that his ward was swallowing pieces of sandwiches almost without chewing.
"I'm just too hungry, and I also want to play by the stream," the boy replied nonchalantly, but still began to eat a little slower.
"Dear, try," the girl smiled slyly, pricking a piece of spinach pie on a fork, Demon hated spinach, but he could not refuse his beloved, so he swallowed a piece of pastry without complaint and even smiled.
"Very tasty."
"I want it too," cried Mukuro, he also doesn't like spinach, but he wanted Elena's attention, so Rokudo opened his mouth like a little chick, asking for food. The blonde laughed softly, one of the many ways to get her boys to eat healthy but hateful spinach.
After dinner, the girl sat down in the shade of a tree with a book she had long wanted to read, but there was no time at all. Demon was sitting next to him, he rested his head on Elena's lap and enjoyed the coolness from the shade of a tree, and not far from them Mukuro was playing in a stream, but he quickly got bored of playing alone, so he decided to involve his father in the game.
"Dad, play with me, please," the kid asked pitifully, he grabbed the older man by the sleeve and began to pull him towards the water.
"Speranza *, I'm sleeping," the blue-haired man muttered with his eyes closed.
"No, you're not sleeping, let's get up," Mukuro did not back down, continuing to jerk and shake Spade.
"Okay, go, I'll come right now," the fog sighed, he knew that he would hardly make the child change his mind.
"Hurrah!" With a smug smile, the boy headed back to the stream.
"Go to him, the last few weeks you did not communicate much, he missed you, beloved," the girl gently reminded him and kissed the man on the cheek, he nodded, got up and went to Mukuro, who was happily splashing in the pleasant cool water.
"Dad, why are you so wet?"
"What are you talking about…?" Spade asked, puzzled, before the boy sprayed him from head to toe and laughed out loud.
"Oh, you little devil," Demon grinned and poured water over the child. So they played, until at last the exhausted fell on the grass to dry out a little.
"Look, dad, mother's favorite flowers have blossomed," the boy pointed to the lawn of beautiful blue flowers. But after a second he realized that he had called Elena Mom and turned away embarrassedly. Spade chuckled and nudged the child gently in the back.
"Come on, collect a bouquet for mom, speranza *," the boy blushed deeply, but still followed the advice of the older man.
"How do you think she will like it?" Mukuro asked uncertainly, holding flowers in his hands.
"I have no doubt she will like everything you give, speranza *," Demon smiled and gently ruffled the child's hair.
"Elena, this is for you," Rokudo ran up to the girl, suddenly got down on one knee, held out flowers and grinned, "will you marry my father and become my mother?"
Demon was taken aback by such impudence, and Elena accepted the flowers and smiled radiantly. She hugged the boy tightly and kissed him on the cheek.
"Of course, speranza *, I will become your mother."
"And nobody asks me at all?" Spade called himself offensively. In fact, she and Elena were already engaged, but there was still no time for the wedding.
"No!" cried out in unison his beloved and son, hugging tightly.
In the evening, the boy stood in front of the door of his parents' room in pajamas with a white plush owl in his hands. A quiet knock on the door and no less quiet permission to enter, the child opened the door and slipped inside. His dad and mom-to-be were lying on the big bed, ready for bed.
"Can I stay with you today?"
"Of course, dear," the blonde smiled, patted on the bed. Mukuro nodded and quickly slipped under the covers, between Elena and Demon.
"Daddy, a fairy tale," Rokudo asked using his most puppy look. The man shook his head but gave up. He usually used illusions to tell stories to his son.
Using the flame of fog, he began to show his son various illusions, but still decided to take revenge on the boy for his recent insolence. Demon slightly distorted his illusions to scare the baby.
"Ahh!" Mukuro screamed and hid his head in the crook of Elena's neck.
"Don't scare him," the girl slapped her lover on the shoulder and gently hugged Rokudo to her. Spade could swear he saw a sly smile spread across his son's face. But he said nothing and continued the story. By the end, the boy fell asleep.
"Good night, speranza *. Ti amo, speranza *."
"Sleep well, speranza *, we will always be there, even if you don't see us," the sleepy Mukuro felt that they kissed him from both sides and hugged him tightly.
"I love you too, dad and mom."
Notes:
Speranza is hope.
Ti amo - I love you.
