"Queen Regina is dangerous! How dare you betray your family by swearing an oath of engagement to her of all people. Special since you are set to marry Baefire tonight at your coronation!" Shepherd yelled, furiously.
"Betraying family seems to be a family trait of the White kingdom royal family." Emma says, coldly. That's a family trait of the Mills family.
"Emma, we made the deal with the dark one. Because we thought it was the best option for you." Snow remarked. Wow, Snow sounds just like my mother!
"That's a lie, as I recall you and dad both agreed to the deal for different reasons." Emma remarked, annoyed. She started talking about the night she ran away. I have always wondered what happened that night to cause her to run away.
Flashback of the night Emma ran away(Emma POV)
"Emma, please let me explain why I accept Rumple's deal." Mom pleaded. I should at least let her explain, I may understand everything better. I walked over to the door and unlocked it. "Emma, I accepted Rumple's deal because it guaranteed the future of the kingdom. The evil queen is dangerous, Rumple knows what the queen is capable of. He will teach you how to defeat her once and for all. You marrying Baefire will make the dark one family and an ally of the White Kingdom."
"If I marry I want it to be for love, not power." I answered, annoyed. I understand her reasons but I'm still not happy with it.
" Emma you have to do what is best for the kingdom. You're going to be queen of the white kingdom in 4 days. That means marrying the dark one's son, for the sake of the kingdom." Dad explained.
Flashback end(back to Regina POV)
"Emma, stop acting so selfish!" Rumple's spawn yelled, furiously. Snow and shepherd really are made for one another. Since they are both power hungry. "It seems you will need a reminder of your place. I am your future husband, the future king of this kingdom. You are my future wife, that shall bear a child. Who shall continue the white and dark one line."
"Enough!" I yell, coldly. "Emma is no longer yours, she never was yours."
"This is all your fault Regina!" Shepherd yelled as he grabbed one of the guards swords, and lunged at me. Emma stepped in front of me, no I can't lose you Emma! I watched in horror as Emma was stabbed by her father. A tense silence filled the throne room.
"There is darkness in the White Kingdom, but are you strong enough to fight it?" Emma says, as she starts swaying dizzy. I rushed to her side, tears in my eyes thinking about her.
"David, what have you done?!" Snow yelled. I can't believe she is still alive, oh this is war Snow. What happens next is your Shepherd's fault.
"Regina, can you take us back?" Emma whispers. I nod my head slightly, she notices.
"When you see Emma again it will be at the duel of champions. Because you lost the right to come to the wedding." I say, bitterly. Then poofs us back to the dark kingdom. When the smoke clears we are both back in my chambers.
"We are going to need to meet with your council immediately." She comments. That's the first thing you say after being stabbed?!
"Don't you mean our council?" I ask, as I used my magic to make her armor disappear. So I could check her wound, she lifted up the right side of my shirt so I could check. There's no scar or any sign of her being stabbed?!"How is this possible?"
"The bond between it allowed me to use your magic to heal me." She answered. I looked at her shocked, there is only one kind of bond that allows for that to happen. The heart bond, how is this possible?! There hasn't been a heart bond in centuries. I am going to have to do some research into this.
"It seems that you completely healed, however I would like you to rest for 3 days before you start training with the huntsman." I commented.
"Okay."
"Why did you step in front of him?" I asked, concerned. Why would you be willing to be stabbed by your own father to protect someone like me?
"Because I care for you, and I am going to be a knight of the Dark Kingdom. It is expected of me to protect you, regardless of what it may cost me." She says, passionately.
"Emma, I am not an easy person to care about." I remark, sadly.
"Remember the night that I ran away, I said 'I hope to learn the true story, Since evil Isn't born it's made.'. Well this is my chance to learn the true story of my future wife." She comments, sincerely. I look at her amazed, How did I get so lucky with you as my future husband?
"You know that with you being my future 'husband' there are going to be so many ceremonies that you will have to go through." I remark.
"How many ceremonies will I have to go through?" She asks, curiously.
"You will have to go through the ceremony of strength. Which involves you getting what I desire most. Then the cleansing ceremony, followed by the darkness ceremony, the champion ceremony, the knighthood ceremony. Then the council must test you to see if you are worthy of being my husband. After that we have to go through five other ceremonies. Then the wedding, followed by a magic wedding." I answered. You can go through the knighthood ceremony soon, because you have already earned knighthood by protecting me today.
"What does the cleansing ceremony and the Darkness ceremony entail?" She asks.
"The cleansing ceremony removes any curses or blessings that might affect your loyalty to the Dark kingdom. It symbolizes that you are no longer going to let anyone control you. The Darkness ceremony is unique, it is a ceremony that releases your inner darkness. Which tests you to see if you are worthy of bearing the mark of the Dark Kingdom. However since you are going to become king of the Dark Kingdom. The test is going to be different, it will test you to see how far are you willing to give it the darkness to protect me or please me." I explain.
"What are the other ceremonies that we will have to go through together?" She asks, intrigued.
"One of the ceremonies test us to see if we are a good match for each other. Another is a test to see if we will abuse our power as rulers to get revenge. The only other one I know of is, one where one of us is temporarily cursed. The other is tested to see if you will be able to trust them. Even if you know them a certain way." I explained.
"I presume the test about Revenge is because of your early thrist for revenge?" She asks, while smirking.
"Yes, however I have that under control now. Since as a ruler you must put the Kingdom before your own needs. However you are a unique case, since you benefit me and my Kingdom. Your claim to the throne actually prevents Snow from declaring war on the Dark kingdom. However since her charming prince attacked you, we can actually force them to do whatever we want to prevent another war from happening." I explained, joyfully.
"Regina there's something I need to tell you. Remember how I mentioned I knew a way to make Snow into your personal pawn?" She asks, carefully. I look at her with one eyebrow arched.
"Yes."
"Well Snow didn't follow the rules of royalty." She revealed. I am confused what is talking about?
"What are you talking about?" I asked, confused.
"You should technically be queen Regina of the White kingdom. Because Snow stole the crown from you. Snow would have become queen after she was married, however there are two problems. One you never approved the marriage and two you never gave either of them your blessing. You know what that means Regina?" She asks, sinisterly. What happened to you Emma?
"What?" I asked, intrigued.
"Since the transition of power never happened between you and Snow. I am technically not the heir to the throne. Which means by marrying me, you will be actually strengthening your hold to the White kingdom throne. Since I am the granddaughter of king Leopold, our marriage wouldn't require their blessing because I am not the heir to the throne." She explained. "However I will ask Snow to give her blessing so that everything seems official. Then when she refuses to give her blessing, I tell her what I just told you."
"Snow would be forced to do whatever we ask, since if she doesn't. I can reclaim the throne through marriage, since your father isn't royalty he is adopted." I remarked, joyfully. I am finally going to get my revenge and justice for Daniel.
"Snow is power hungry, I think we should teach her a lesson. That everything comes with a price, but how much are you willing to pay?" She remarked.
"What happened to the good Emma White?" I asked, shocked.
"I am the future king of the Dark Kingdom, after all I am going to be marrying you. Everyone sees you as the Evil Queen, but to me you're Regina. Which means I have to become slowly corrupted by you. After all you want revenge on Snow White and as I recall from my oath. I said 'Your wish is my desire, your command is my pleasure.'. You wish to get your revenge on Snow White, well now that is my desire." She answered. How did I get so lucky?
"You are in for a treat come our wedding night." I promised.
"Speaking of our wedding, do you have any ideas for it?" Emma asked, curiously.
"I would like the wedding to reflect our feelings for one another. But it also reflects that it is a political marriage." I answered.
"I presume black and white is a must in the color scheme?" She asked, jokingly.
"Yes, well as shades of grey and maybe purple." I answered, seriously.
"I have no problems with that as long as the purple is the same shade as you magic." She remarked. Oh my, I am being charmed by a Charming! I thought this would never happen.
"Using your father's charm on me?" I asked, jokingly.
"Maybe, but back to what was said much earlier we need to meet with the council to start talking about what needs to be done." Emma remarked, seriously.
"Mirror!" I yelled. A face appeared in my mirror.
"Yes, your majesty?" He asked.
"Please summon my council, inform them that we had some unexpected developments occur while we were in the White Kingdom. I expect them in the council chambers within the next ten minutes." I ordered.
"Of course, your majesty." Mirror said, before he disappeared.
"This is going to be a interesting meeting." Emma remarked. That certainly true, my council is probably going to be stunned into silence. When I tell them that I am now engaged to Emma.
