Sesshomaru heads over to his fathers place and finds him in his study, "Father tell me, what is going on?
His father responds, "There was an anonymous package that came through the office to my assistant and was startled when she opened and saw the pictures. It seems you have someone that has some animosity towards you. There was a small note that came with it".
Sesshomaru's father hands him the note, "You have been warned" he says outloud.
He looks over the pictures and they were of Rin awfully close to him touching on his shoulder from the press conference, them eating at the restaurant, and him holding Rin and carrying her to her apartment.
"When I find who is doing this, I will kill them", he growled.
Sesshomaru's father intervenes, "This could get ugly being that it could be looked at within our policies that there should not be any sexual relationships between colleagues, as you are her boss and she a student through the program".
Sesshomaru says, "It's not like that at all, we don't have that kind of relationship, it is strictly, a supervisor employee relationship, she was just cheering me up when she put her hand on me".
"But Sesshomaru that is inappropriate touching when it comes to the workplace, especially in her position. She may need to be revoked from the program".
Sesshomaru voice raises, "Father that is unnecessary, she has worked very hard, this is a perfect opportunity for her, and she is really what the company is looking for".
Sesshomaru Father says, "I advise you to stay away from her, we do not know who this person is and when they will strike, this is an extremely dangerous person we are dealing with because we don't know their true intentions, just keep it professional with her right now. One more thing son, do you feel something for this woman?"
Sesshomaru looks at his father with guilt, "She has become someone I care about; I don't know if that means a friendship or something more, I can admit I am struggling with it because my youkai tells me one thing and I tell myself another".
His father looks at him with concern, "Do you think this woman is to be your mate?"
Sesshomaru turns his head, "We have called her that".
"I see, these emotions may be all new to you, and when it gets down to, WE then that is what it will be, my son. You have found your mate in the worst circumstances because of our policies and whomever this person is. The demon community as well are very touchy when it comes to mating a human. I was exiled for centuries until modern times came and I can now walk freely with Izayoi. You do have an opportunity here because times have changed; it really comes down to who surrounds you that will give you a hard time, if this woman is who you want, you hold your head up high and protect your love".
"Love? I don't think we got there father, I am just now starting to recognize her as my mate", Sesshomaru smirks.
"Well, you will see, your mind will change. It may be hard to stay away from her, you will have to restrain yourself as much as possible until the internship program is over. If I am correct, we have one more month, will you be able to do this"? "
I will do it because I need to protect both of our reputations", Sesshomaru says.
"Try not to be an asshole, restraining from your mate it is the hardest thing", his father concludes.
Sesshomaru bows and heads home to clear his head.
Sesshomaru breathes out and takes out his laptop and pulls up his email, he pulls up Rin's name and writes:
Ms. Hagawari,
As of Monday, I will no longer mentor you during the remainder of your internship, Sara Asano will be taking my place. Something has come up and needs my attention, my apologies for the inconvenience.

Lord Sesshomaru
He hit send, and it was the most uncomfortable feeling he ever had knowing he would not be beside her as much, but he knew it was for the best.
"Please forgive me Rin for what I am about to do", he says to himself.
Rin sees she has a notification, "Oh its from Sesshomaru", she says to herself. She opens the email and was surprised, "must be something serious, I hope we are able to talk to one another still. Then again, he emailed me instead of calling me, he always calls me".
Rin was hoping to hear from Sesshomaru the rest of weekend, but she did not hear anything, "I guess he is busy, I will see him Monday anyway".
Monday comes and Rin is excited to see Sesshomaru even though she would not be working with him as closely anymore. She kept thinking about the small time they spent together and how he looked after her from her hangover. She goes to Sesshomaru's office and walks in without permission, Sesshomaru turns and sees Rin. Rin sees Sesshomaru with some woman and she was too close for comfort in Rin eyes, she did not like that one bit.
Sesshomaru says to Rin, "Ms. Hagawari, before entering my office, you are supposed to get permission to come in, you do not barge into the CEO's office".
"My apologies milord", Rin looks down. "Just make sure it does not happen again, is that understood", Sesshomaru scolds Rin.
"Yes, my Lord", Rin replies.
"Since you are here, this will be your new mentor, through the remainder of the program".
The two women walk up to each other and shake hands.
"This way Rin, please catch me up on everything, Lord Sesshomaru says nothing but wonderful things about you", Sara says.
Rin turns and looks back at Sesshomaru and he looks at her from the corner of his eye.
Later that evening, Rin is going over the different components of the operating system she is creating when she spots Sesshomaru. She thought he would come by and see how everything was going but he just walked by as if she were not there and started talking amongst others.
She would ask him a question, and he would say, "Refer that to your mentor, Ms. Asano".
Why is he being so different suddenly, what is going on? she thinks to herself. Sara and Rin go and get lunch and she sees Sesshomaru moving within a crowd of people, looks like some important people are here today, maybe that is the reason for his behavior, she thinks to herself.
Rin thought she would wait until the end of the day to speak Sesshomaru and see if she could get some answers. He had been hands on so far and suddenly, she could not speak to him, everything she would ask would get redirected. She only thought she would get a new mentor, not the friendship they were developing changing. She waited until the building was winding down and people were leaving to go speak Sesshomaru.
She knocks on the door, Sesshomaru looks up and he knows its Rin, he had to think fast to rid her.
"She has grown attached to me, as have I", Sesshomaru says to himself.
"You may come in Ms. Hagawari". She walks up to his desk, "Yes Rin? Sesshomaru asks.
"Is there something going on, I mean I thought my mentor may change but I didn't think the dynamic between me, and you would change?" Rin sounding worried.
"This Sesshomaru has been very busy, and I just did not have time to be concerned with other things".
"Okay, I thought my teasing got you pissed again. I have another reason why I came" Rin says. "And what is that reason", Sesshomaru replies.
"I was wondering if you had time that maybe you would like to hang out, outside of work again. I really enjoyed the little time we did spend together", Rin looks down and looks back up to him in anticipation.
"Ms. Hagawari, I don't want you to misinterpret things, I only was at the party because my brother's girlfriend asked me, I was being kind and I was bored. When I took you home it was out of concern of your wellbeing. We will not be "hanging out" anymore".
Rin look surprised and slightly embarrassed, "I apologize, I got the wrong Idea, please forgive me", she bows and walks out fast.
Sesshomaru sees Rin embarrassed and he had to stop every fiber in his being to run after her.
Rin goes home and she is kinda heartbroken because she had to admit she was kinda falling for the guy.
"Forget him, his mood changes so much, he is so confusing!", she says to herself. She did not know why she was so drawn to him, she craved him, "Have I fallen for Sesshomaru?" she says to herself.
She felt he gave her so many false thoughts or maybe it is like he said, his kind have the looks and voice to reel humans in to manipulate.
He said he was not interested in doing something like that, was that his true intentions, she thought to herself.
She was tired of whatever game Sesshomaru was trying to play if he was playing one. She receives a text message, and it is from Sio.
"You are right on time, I need to get away from this Sesshomaru shit", she says to herself.
Sio wanted to take her out for dinner, Rin replied she would love to go. She asked him could they set up for Wednesday night instead of tomorrow night, as she got off early on Wednesday. He agreed, and Rin started to get ready for bed and tried not to think of Sesshomaru in lewd ways.
Sesshomaru fathers meets him in the office, Sesshomaru Father says, "Wednesday night we are having a meeting with the lawyers, they will meet us at this restaurant, his father hands him a paper. They want to go over some paperwork, and right after Kagome, and Inuyasha, Izayoi will be joining us to have dinner".
"I will only be in attendance only for the meetings with the lawyers, I don't want to be there with everyone else", Sesshomaru says.
"Well, I can't say I didn't ask, will see you then son. Oh, how is everything going with Rin?", Toga asks.
Sesshomaru looks off and says, "She just left from here and I hurt her feelings, I think she may feel the same way I do, and it pains me to not be able to console her".
Toga nods, "It hurts now but it will get better and if she is truly your mate, she will understand".
Sesshomaru nods.
Wednesday comes and Rin gets dressed in a gown, a plain off shoulder ruffle hem slit dress in navy blue with nude pumps, nude satchel, necklace and a bracelet to match. She had in hair in a fish tail braid to the side with eyeliner, mascara, mostly nude makeup. Sio came and picked her up at 5pm.
"Wow you look incredible, Let's head out beautiful", Sio says.
They arrive at the upscale restaurant. They began small talk, and he expresses how upset he was that he didn't get to talk to her really at the party.
"I was heavily intoxicated from the game, you shouldn't have had to see me like that", Rins says feeling embarrassed.
"It's okay, you were amongst friends and from what I hear from Kagome, you barely have any free time, But I thought it was strange, your boss seemed to be very possessive over you though, he wouldn't allow me to help, he just took over", Sio says.
"He was just being kind because even though he is my boss we have known each other longer and I had just met you that night. There are no worries in that department" Rin says and Sio nods.
They order their food and drink and continue many conversations.
Sesshomaru arrives at the restaurant where he meets his father. He sits down with the lawyers and they discuss paperwork, and that the demon authority is taking over any forensic details. Inuyasha, Izayoi, and Kagome come strolling in and sit at the table. Sesshomaru annoyed because he does not have his mate with him and everyone else looks happy with theirs. Sesshomaru moves to get up, and
Kagome shouts, "OMG, Rin!" Sesshomaru looks at Kagome and eyes where she is looking and there goes Rin looking absolutely stunning out on a date.
Sesshomaru barrs his fangs and begins to growl, "I couldn't even smell her, and she is right there, that damn stench of a human is covering up her scent", Sesshomaru says infuriated.
Sesshomaru turns to leave, and Toga grabs him, "Take it easy my son, do not worry she is yours, it just has to look this way".
Sesshomaru nudges away and walks out. Rin looks over to Kagome and waves, they have their girl talk but Kagome knows she must get back to her family dinner and leave Rin to hers.
Rin saw Sesshomaru run out looking pissed and she wondered why.
The next day Rin is riding the elevator to her destination and the elevator stops midway. She was surprised to see Sesshomaru on a different floor, that is unusual, she says to herself. He walks on the elevator with no expression on his face. He is turned away from her, he presses his floor.
It is quiet for a moment when Sesshomaru says, "How was your date last night".
Rin says, "I am sorry, but you are asking about something that is personal to me".
Sesshomaru turns and looks down at her, "You have asked this Sesshomaru all types of personal questions and also have thought you were at the same stature as me and you can't even answer this question!"
Rin turns annoyed, "Look who really wants to have a conversation now. I don't know what to think of you, your great one day and then your mean the next, I don't know what Sesshomaru I am getting".
Sesshomaru pressed the button that stops the elevator from moving, locking it. "I have something very serious to ask you Rin?"
"What is it Sesshomaru?", says a very annoyed Rin. Sesshomaru thinks if he should ask Rin if she had anything to do with the pictures and possible blackmail, everyone right now is suspicious.
"Are you trying to exploit this Sesshomaru?" "What? What the hell are you talking about, you are so fucking strange?", Rin says pissed off.
Mate or not, I need to know the truth, Sesshomaru thinks to himself. "Someone has sent pictures of us at different occasions as if we were together".
"What motive do I have to do that, what would I gain trying to exploit you, Sesshomaru? Rin voice raises.
"All humans are the same, you lie, and you steal from us, your kind has been doing it forever, can't learn nothing on your own, nothing but filth, worthless filth!"
Rin eyes well up, "How dare you? Let me out of here, I am getting the fuck away from this toxic ass place, you really think I may have something to do with this, and then you insult me. I have never gone that far; you are not who I thought you are!"
You fool why would you say that to our mate! Sesshomaru's inner demon roars.
Rin runs out and into a bathroom sobbing, she really cared about Sesshomaru and she really loved what she did here, but it was not worth all this drama and her sanity. The person she cares about so much accuses her of blackmail and basically called her filth and unworthy. She wanted to clear her name and never be associated with the Inutaisho name again.
I thought he believed in me; she says to herself.
Authors Note: Since FanFic only lets you add a certain amount of characters, I would like to apologize and add on the characters you may have not expected to be in the past chapters and now and future chapters. So far mentioned, Sango, Miroku, Shippo, Ayame, Kanna, Sara Asano and Toga, although I called him Sesshomaru's Father, don't know why I didn't do that in the first place. Characters were not main characters but were mentioned.
