Chapter 8

RECAP GIST TIME: Sora and Riku are divorced Kagome and Bankotsu's fraternal twins. Daichi is Inuyasha's child. Sora and Daichi have a hate and loathe relationship as a result their parents are forcing them to hang out with each other (including Riku) so they could be civil to one another.

Inuyasha is a rich bachelor that is getting married to a faux rich heiress Kikyo Mitsu in the coming months (chapters) Jakotsu and Kagome are their wedding coordinators along for the ride is Naraku (Kagome's brother and chef in the story. He is married to Sango). They already had their engagement party and Kikyo's bridal shower is coming up in the following chapters.

Inuyasha seems like a deadbeat dad because he keeps on forgetting about his son in various places and instances but seems to remember Kikyo and his career/clients.

Now we can begin::::::

Mr. and Mrs. Takahashi Manor-Izayoi's Birthday Party

"12345, 12344, 12443, okay here is whoa that is a big house," Kagome quietly exclaimed as she drove her car into the curved driveway. Her car jerked a bit and shook but the engine stayed on.

She took a deep breath as she found a parking space on the paved driveway. Kagome looked out of her window and admired the peaceful and serene ambience that was given off. The front lawn of the Takahashi Manor was obviously landscaped professionally that embodied a picturesque country feeling that could easily be featured in Better Homes and Gardens.

Kagome checked her simple makeup and added more lipstick then ran her fingers through her hair. She turned to the backseat where her children were still fast asleep.

"Sora, Riku, Daichi, honey, come on guys wake up. I know that you all had a fun time with Uncle Naraku but we have a party to have fun at," Kagome said, trying to stir her children and energize herself. It was going on six at night and she still had a lot of work to do.

She replayed her boss basically demanding that she go and network to drum up more business and snag another guy to date and have benefits with on the side. She exhaled and remembered Inuyasha calling to remind her to bring Daichi so his grandparents could see him.

'I should have told him to just get the kid but then Daichi would have more than likely been alone and ignored. Poor kid,' Kagome thought to herself and opened the back doors to rouse her children and adopted one up.

The children stretched and yawned as they almost tumbled out of Kagome's car. They had so much fun with their Uncle that they were too tired to think let alone be cheerful and merry. Sora went to her mother and held out her hands to be picked up. Kagome kissed her forehead and grabbed one of her hands.

"Come on guys," Kagome said, trying to psyche herself up. She in truth didn't want to be here. She met Inuyasha's parents and his brother and while the parents were cute it was the brother that really did it for her.

She turned around and saw Sora, Riku, and Daichi dragging their bodies to catch up with Kagome's short strides to the front door.

"Momma, why are you walking so fast?" Sora asked while yawning and rubbing her eyes.

"Why are ya'll so tired. What did ya'll do? I thought ya'll were just cooking for those two days?" Kagome asked as she walked back to the trio.

"What didn't we do?" Riku asked his comrades.

"We went swimming with the dolphins, went to the Fishermen's Wharf, then went to the mini zoo at the amusement park that was on Pier 3 then we had to go on every ride. Then we went to this trampoline park and bounced on everything. Then we went rock climbing there and skydiving in this indoor skydiver, then he took us to the Children's Museum and also we went go cart riding with Auntie Sango and shopped for some clothes and stuff for their house. We also played Dragon Escapes and we are now in White Mist Forest and looking for the missing Fairy Prince that was stolen by the Troll boss in the previous boss battle that we won. We had to get up super early on those days too," Daichi said and sighed with a very satisfied smile on his face. He was worn out but he wouldn't trade that weekend for anything.

"No wonder ya'll are so tired. Okay I am going to give you a pick me up but I need for each of you to take a small piece okay," Kagome looked in each of their half closed eyes and they shook their heads.

Kagome looked around and grabbed a piece of candy from her bag, broke it into three pieces and handed them the candy pieces. Her children had a high sensitivity to sweets and would become extremely hyper even in the smallest quantity. They took a piece and were instantly revitalized. Kagome knew that sugar high would give them a good two hours before they would really be out for the count.

"Better my loves," Kagome asked and held her arms out so they could give her a hug.

They ran to her and gave her a group hug.

"Alright let's get this party started!" Sora exclaimed and did a fist pump.

"Yea, that was extremely lame. Come on before anyone asks what are you doing," Daichi commented and led the family to his grandparents house.

Inside the Manor

Light live jazz music could be heard around the entire Manor. There were about thirty people in attendance mingling and talking to each other. Izayoi was walking and stopping to chat at her old friends and some that she recently met. She checked her watch and hoped that her newest friend would arrive with her grandson intow like her youngest son promised.

Izayoi was just about to have her husband call Inuyasha but she heard the butler greet some more party goers inside. Izayoi lit up when she saw her grandson coming in. She saw that his cheeks had color in them and his eyes had life in them and they weren't just glazed over but as if joy was pumped back into him. She excused herself from her bridge club partners and went to greet her grandson and the family that brought him physically and emotionally back home.

"Oh ChiChi my baby! Come give Grandmama a hug and a kiss. I missed you so much! I've been thinking about you everyday and hate that I couldn't get in contact with you my precious precious baby boy," Izayoi gushed and littered his face with kisses and hugs. He loved his grandmother but felt she was overdoing it.

"Thank you Grandmama. Happy Birthday! Let me introduce my friends. Sora and Riku and this is their mom Ms. Kagome," Daichi grinned and looked up at Kagome.

"Nice to meet each of you and to see you again Ms. Kagome," Izayoi said and held her arms out to give them each a hug.

"Nice to meet you too," the twins said in unison and hugged her as well.

"Please, Kagome, it's always a pleasure to meet another hugger," Kagome said and gave Izayoi a hug back.

Izayoi giggled a bit as she separated from Kagome.

"Not a lot of people are huggers. My son is not a hugger but loves getting them but giving them you have to be a very special person in his life. It is always nice to meet a fellow hugger," Izayoi said and sighed.

"Oh, Grandmama, I got you something too for your birthday! Here!" Daichi said as he reached into his pants pocket and showed her a golden locket with his picture of himself and a picture with her and him in it.

Taisho came and stood beside her and ruffled Daichi's hair and looked at the golden locket in his wife's hand. Izayoi turned it around and saw it was engraved with the message Love you Grandmama -Daichi.

She dabbed her eyes and gave Daichi a warm and truly sincere hug. She released Daichi from her hug and patted Taisho to clasp the necklace around her neck. She kissed it and gave Kagome a hug.

Kagome indulged the older woman again and hugged her back. She wasn't sure what the hug was for but hey the more the merrier.

"Children there are finger foods in the kitchen. Tell the maids what you want and they will get it for you. They are making gourmet burgers in the garden. Just place your order and they will make it for you. Have fun," Izayoi said and wrapped her arm around Kagome and brought her closer to her husband after he gave the twins a hug since hugs were being given out all of a sudden.

"Kagome I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you," Izayoi said as she patted Kagome's arm while she held it.

"I'm not sure what I did but you're welcome," Kagome chuckled at the couple.

"I'm sure that you noticed that Inuyasha is a bit...how do you say...absentminded of his son. I know he means well and loves Daichi but there is just not a connection there. I-I was wondering if you could speak to Inuyasha about having Daichi moving with us. We do travel and know that I would have to homeschool him but I know that Daichi would get the love and support to grow up to be a decent human being, friend, boyfriend, and hopefully husband and father. I just -sigh- just don't see him getting that experience with his father and current failed experiment," Izayoi said and took a deep breath.

"That felt really good getting off of my chest. I know inappropriate party talk but we are planning to leave again at the end of the year and need to get the proper paperwork and schooling prepared," Izayoi said.

"I think I am a bit confused as to what part I am to play. I am just the wedding coordinator. I'm not even that child's mother. Don't get me wrong I would love for him to be mine but as science seemingly so is proving that he belongs to Inuyasha. So why don't you talk to him. It's really not my business or place," Kagome said to the couple.

"We know. It's just that-well,"

"They think that you would try and encourage me to send my child with them. Mom we already talked about this and I told you my answer. If I send Daichi anywhere its going to be to West Summit Bridge. I went there and turned out fine. Kagome I am sorry about that," Inuyasha said as he stood next to Kagome and Izayoi.

"Inuyasha, my stubborn born child. Think logically. Daichi is bored and has told me that he is lonely on more than several occasions. Please let us take him off your hands so you could-uhm-what was your name again dear," Izayoi asked as she stared at Kikyo, drawing a blank and really refusing to include Kikyo as any type of family.

"Kikyo, Mom, who will soon be your daughter-in-law," Kikyo smiled.

'How convenient to always forget my name but don't have a hard time with anyone else's name. I don't understand why Inuyasha just get rid of the little twerp. It would be a lot cheaper and easier to forget him. I can't wait until I say I do. Watch out Mom...there's a new sheriff in town and I'm going to clean house.' Kikyo thought to herself as she felt her smile was slowly turning into a grimace.

"I believe I will take my leave," Kagome said and went to go and look for her two so they could just leave.

Sora, Daichi and Riku

The trio was given a guided tour of the manor and it was massive. They found the game room that was tucked off to the side and found that there was an older version of the game system Cube Player and wondered what games did it have better yet did it still work. Daichi walked over with the fraternal twins following and tried to hook the gaming system up while Sora looked through the vast amounts of games that the mysterious owner had.

"Is this your dad's stash? I thought men didn't play video games? He surely played... Oh. My Goodness," Sora said slowly as excitement built as she went through the well organized catalog of retro games.

She carefully pulled out the case and showed it to the boys and their eyes bulged out.

"Your dad is amazing now. Who would have ever guessed that we would be in the presence of this game! Do you know that they stopped making this edition that has so many Easter eggs for Dragon Escapes. Dragon Hunter is what started it all. I-we have to play this. It's not up for debate," Sora said in awe and handed the case to Daichi to place the disk inside the Player.

They found that there were four controllers nicely rolled up and a Memory File that was inside of the Dragon Hunter case.

Daichi inserted it and saw that his dad he assumed was almost done beating the game.

"Your dad is really awesome. Gamers say that this game was incredibly difficult and only the skilled could get to level 30 and it looks like your dad is already on level 45. He had only 5 levels left," Riku exclaimed as they watched some gameplay that was saved on the Memory File some time ago.

"Ok let's start our own game and try to beat your dad!" Sora said and created a name for them so they know which one was theirs.

With Kagome

Kagome was looking high and low for her two kids and couldn't find them. She met some very influential people and was more than eager to leave her business card with them. She wasn't worried...yet but she was on the cusp. She saw Inuyasha getting a drink from the bartender and decided to ask him if he had seen the kids.

She tapped him on his shoulder and he turned around.

"Oh Kagome, enjoying the party?" Inuyasha asked sarcastically as he took another sip of his refreshed brown alcoholic drink.

"Uhm it's surely something that I have never been to," Kagome said politely.

"You're bored. It doesn't get better than this I'm afraid to say. So I guess that you are on another mission from my mother? Has my mom recruited you again to convince me to give up my boy again? Do you think I am an unfit father? I provide a roof over his head, I give him all the freedom to choose what he wants to do with his life. Daichi is spoiled and she says that I'm not there. They could talk. They shipped me off the first opportunity they had and didn't bat an eye and now they want to bring my kid with them. To fulfil their guilt of abandoning me all those years? I'm sorry Kagome. Did you need something?" Inuyasha asked coming back to his senses and replace his mask back on firmly.

"Just so you know it's okay to be angry and not know all the answers to parenting. I just think they saw the errors in their ways and inadvertently passed it onto you and wanted to make sure that Daichi gets all the love and support they weren't able to give you. Here is my guess they don't want the cycle to continue with Daichi when he gets older. Again just a guess. But anyway. I was wondering if you saw my two. They have school in the morning and we need to get going," Kagome said and looked around the vast area to see if she missed them again or an area.

"They are probably in the gaming area or Daichi's room he has here. Come, it's easier if I show you than trying to tell you how to get there," Inuyasha said and without thinking or sexually behind his actions grabbed Kagome's hand and led her to the back of the manor where there were no guests allowed.

The Trio

"Daichi, hurry and revive me. Riku, quickly kill the evil hatchlings," Sora directed everyone and was so engrossed in the game that they didn't notice their parents walking into the room.

"Daichi, Sora, Riku are you...hey that's my game," Inuyasha said surprisedly.

Kagome walked into the smallest room but it had the most character.

She turned to the boxed tv screen and saw her kids playing a different version of Dragon Escapes.

"Hey kids it's time to say goodbye and to go to bed," Kagome announced and Riku paused the game.

The Trio said okay after a long sigh because they weren't too far into the adventure but not at the beginning- beginning either.

"Now Daichi, don't go and play on this while we are away. But convince your Dad to let you bring it to your house so we can play after school," Sora whispered and shook his head.

"I could ask," Daichi said and was about to walk over and ask but was stopped by Sora before he walked over to the talking adults looking at the retro decoration.

"Remember flies to honey be sweet and not vinegar," Sora coached him and turned back to clean up their mess.

"Uhm excuse me Dad," Daichi said politely and waited to be acknowledged.

Inuyasha turned to him and squatted down to his son.

"Uhm, I was wondering if I could bring the Cube Player and Dragon Hunter home with me. I pinky promise that I won't lose any pieces or destroy anything. Please," Daichi asked and forced some tears in his eyes to make them mist to show how much he meant everything he said.

"Turn off the water works. Sure son just let me get the carrying case for the game. I think the tv in the den at home will be compatible for you to play on," Inuyasha said and walked to the closet in the room to retrieve the custom made bag for the console to be safely carried in.

Daichi turned to and gave the twins a thumbs up. The twins high fived and walked to their mother so she knew that they were done cleaning.

"Uhm, Dad is it okay if I spent the night with Sora and Riku again? We won't stay up too late," Daichi said and felt a yawn coming on.

Kagome knew that the power of the candy hyperness was slowly wearing off and wanted to be home when her two crashed.

"Hey why don't you go this weekend. I haven't seen you since last Friday. I want to- no- we need to spend some quality time with each other," Inuyasha said as he placed the gaming console bag's strap over his head for it to sit comfortably on his chest.

"I-I just wanted Ms. Kagome's pancakes and they were really good," Daichi said and Kagome shook her head playfully.

"Is that why I had to make so many pancakes?" Kagome asked in a joking way and reached inside her purse to grab her keys.

Daichi shamelessly shook his head in affirmation.

"Inuyasha it makes no difference to me. Plus they all go to the same school and I can stop by your place before I head home to get him a uniform. It's really not a big deal. We enjoy Daichi at our house. Right kids?" Kagome asked and Sora and Riku both gave thumbs up. They were barely able to keep their eyes open.

"Okay but I'm picking you up from school," Inuyasha insisted and grabbed his son's hand.

Daichi shook his head but he didn't put much faith in his dad remembering him.

'I wonder what got in him just now. Why all of a sudden I'm...oh it must be for some business dinner or something...He almost had me fooled...good grief,' Daichi thought to himself as he followed his father closely back to the front of the manor.

Kagome followed the father son duo out of the room with the twins in front of her. She then turned the lights outf.

The Party

Izayoi and Tashio were dancing to an upbeat 50s song with the other party goers. Izayoi was laughing and spinning with her husband leading her.

Inuyasha walked over to his mother while she was swaying to the last bit of the song playing through the speakers. He gave her a kiss on the cheek and handed her his gift that he had his secretary pick out for him. She saw that it was a Tiffany Tennis Bracelet. She hugged him and hugged Daichi again for the gift.

"Thank you for your thoughtful gift. I love it," Izayoi said.

"I'm glad that you do. Mom, we have to leave in a few moments. The kids have school and the adults have work in the morning. Happy Birthday again Mom. I love you," Inuyasha said and kissed her on the cheek.

Izayoi was a bit taken aback because it had been many many many years since Inuyasha showed any affection towards his mother. She looked and saw Kagome was close by and she knew it was her.

"I love you too Inuyasha," Izayoi said and walked the two families towards the foyer. Inuyasha opened the door and waited for everyone to leave. Izayoi gave kisses to each one and waved as everyone got in their respective cars.

Izayoi didn't miss that Daichi didn't get in the car with his dad but the twins' mother. For whatever reason she was glad that Daichi was going with the twins and their mother because she felt that Kagome's sincere love for Daichi was tearing and mending broken pieces in Daichi's heart, spirit, his entire being.

Inuyasha and Kikyo

"Why doesn't your mother not like me? What have I done that made her mad at me? What did I do?" Kikyo asked as she turned in her seat to look at her fiance driving the car to their home.

" You would have to ask her. But it shouldn't matter what she thinks. I love you and that's what really matters," Inuyasha said and placed his hand on Kikyo's knee and squeezed it as he slowly went higher up her body.

20 minutes later

Inuyasha pulled up into his gated driveway and Kagome parked behind him. As soon as he placed the car in park Kikyo was ready to pounce on him. Kagome knocked on the driver window to get Inuyasha's attention. He almost forgot and had to pull Kikyo off of him.

"Hurry and get inside. Run the jacuzzi water for us," Inuyasha said and nibbled on her clothed breast. Kikyo squealed and exited the car quickly in a light jog.

Kagome was a bit confused but above all just wanted to hurry home.

Inuyasha took a deep breath and exited the car. He led the way to his front door then showed Kagome to Daichi's room. He made an excuse to leave her on her own. She rolled her eyes when he left and searched for the light switch with her phone flash light guiding her to a brighter light source. She found a lamp by the bed on the nightstand and turned it on. The small light illuminated the room so she could see where the closet was.

She started to turn when she saw a picture frame partly covered under Daichi's pillow. She went to see what was in the picture frame. She couldn't believe what she saw. It was a picture that she took many years ago when she was in college as an egg donor. She was told that the picture was going to be secured. So how did a child come to have her picture in a photo frame.

Kagome gasped. 'Could my eggs...could my eggs have brought Daichi in this world? It's possible. I signed a contract that I didn't want to be informed if my eggs were being used. It would have been too weird and sad. Best not to bring this up to Inuyasha nor Daichi,' Kagome thought to herself.

She shook her head and placed the picture back after she took a quick picture of it on her phone. She replaced the photo under the pillow like Daichi had it and went to look for his school uniform.

She decided at the last minute to get him at least two days worth of clothes just in case. She chalked it up as experience dealing with Inuyasha Takahashi and his lack of priority for his child.

She found a small duffle bag and added his shoes, socks, pants, ties, undershirt in the bag. She looked around his closet for a garment bag and placed two of his pressed jackets and button up shirts in the bag. When she felt that she got everything she turned her phone light back on and turned off the nightstand light.

Being there once before she just walked down the stairs and kept going out and hoped someone would lock the door after she left. She wasn't going to traumatize her already tired mine with images of Inuyasha and Kikyo bumping uglies. She made it to her car, sent a quick text to Inuyasha, and left the estate.

With Inuyasha and Kikyo

"That was so good Inuyasha. I love you," Kikyo said and drifted off to sleep.

Inuyasha was glad someone got satisfaction out of it. He hadn't been able to release fully even though he was so ready to bust. He didn't mind screamers but the clear fakers were a turn off and wanted to be called a bitch and a whore. He didn't find degrading women in the bedroom a turn on either but that was Kikyo's kink.

After two more failed attempts to go to sleep and will his dick to go down. He decided that he would go to his office and handle it himself. He grabbed his phone, placed his sleeping pants on, grabbed his robe and left.

He walked around the house to make sure that everything was secured before he took care of his needs.

He came to the front door and it was still unlocked. He checked his phone and sure enough Kagome had sent him two texts. One was about the door needing to be unlocked and the other was that they made it home and everyone was safe. He decided he would look at her Click Page again since that black bikini continued to creep up in his mind when he least expected it.

He made sure that his office door was locked and that he turned on his soundproof so no one would hear him inside. He sat on his couch and grabbed some tissue and lotion in case he needed it.

He first went to the profile picture that she had sent to him and saw that her breasts were more alluring as he was not in his right mind. He could feel himself hardening again. He took his pants off laying down in the nude. He continued on to her Click Page and found his favorite picture. His mind made up the rest of what he fantasized and his body reacted with the help of his hand.

'Kagome, what are you doing to me?' Inuyasha thought sensually and was way more relaxed after another two rounds when he found more pictures on the risque side of Kagome. Inuyasha was then finally able to let sleep consume his body and didn't fight it. He had only one girl on his mind and that was Kagome.

A/N: Excuse my absence, it's been a rollercoaster in real life. I never forgot just couldn't write. I was in a rut. I will post the next chapter sometime Next week. I hope you enjoy!
