MIDORIYA

I gather my books from my locker thinking about what Todoroki said. What if I do have a quirk after all. I wanted to talk to him about it, but he was distant after the night we drank. I didn't push the issue. He is probably embarrassed because he cried in front of me or something. I know he will need some time. Besides it is a little hard to look at him knowing I got off thinking about him. How can I not think about it? I put on my backpack and start towards the exit.

I wonder if I can go to a doctor or something and get this confirmed? Will it even matter at this point? I plan to work behind the scenes anyway and…..

"Ow…." I cry lowly as I bumped hard. I feel like that hit rattled my brain. I glance up seeing Bakugou. That icy blonde hair matching his deathly glare. "Kacchan….." He snorts.

"Don't say my name Deku," he snaps. "Watch where you are going."

"Bakugou, dude it was an accident," says Kirishima putting his hand on his shoulder. I recognize most of the students from the hero course. I admire them all. So talented…..

"Whatever," states Bakugou as he continues walking. Kirishima looks back at me.

"Sorry," he apologizes before running behind Bakugou. I sigh because at times like this I wish Shinsou still went to school here. Shinsou doesn't like confrontation but Bakugou was scared of him. I know Shinsou would never use his quirk on me, now for others I can speak to that. He didn't care for Bakugou and would threaten him if he pushed me around. I continue my walk thinking I should stop at the coffee shop. I could use a pick me up. I head into the shop seeing a small crowd that seems to be excited. What's going on. I stop the red wings feeling myself go into shock. No way.

"One person at a time," says Hawks. Holy crap it is him. I didn't know he was so short. He is a little taller than me though. He's so handsome and looks much younger in person. He doesn't look like a 24 year old at all.

"You should be the number one hero Hawks!" gushes a girl. "You're so much nicer than Endeavor." Hawks grins.

"It's cool," he replies. "I appreciate all your support. If I get number one, awesome. If I stay number two, awesome." Wow does he really not care about the rankings. I continue on my business trying not to fan out. I probably would if it was LeMillion. I nervously walk around the crowd to order my vanilla flavored coffee. I will be adding some sugar and cream once I get it. It's Friday so it doesn't matter if I stay up. "You, kid with the green hair." I look around, he can't possibly be talking to me. "Yeah, I'm talking to you, come here."

"M-my coffee…" I stammer.

"Oh, I will take care of that," he replies. He walks over grabbing my coffee handing it to me. "Keep the change," he tells the cashier. The girls and guys are fanning. I see a bunch of cameras going off and I shield my face. Why does he even want to talk to me? I'm so confused. I take my coffee adding my sugar and creamer. Taking a sip a few times before I'm satisfied with it. I follow Hawks outside as he tells the crowd not to follow us. Some girl snarled 'what makes him so special' I shiver because of how cold her voice sounds. I didn't ask for this. I sip my coffee to calm my nerves. "Go to U.A. right?"

"I do," I reply. I'm still in my uniform but it is hard to see since I have a coat on.

"I'm surprised you're out this way," he replies. I almost don't know how to respond. Where is this going?

"I just wanted some coffee," I reply simply. "What can I do for you Mr. Hawks?" He frowns.

"Drop the mister shit," he replies. "I'm much too young for that. I grabbed you because you seem like a smart kid." I take this a compliment. I am the highest in my class with my marks.

"I would love to help you," I reply. "What do you need?"

"What are kids into these days?" he replies. "I may be young, but the internet is as helpful as you think." I raise an eyebrow because to me it is such a strange question.

"Well it depends on the person," I reply. Hawks smiles.

"I can't go into details, but I need to get something for a teen, and I want to get them something that no one else would think to get," he explains. Seems like a very Hawk thing. Appears he is in some way caring.

"Well….." I reply with much thought. "Most teens are in clothes, video games, electronics, superheroes. I mean some teens don't care about stuff like that. It has to be more meaningful. Like getting them their favorite ice cream or something like that."

"Favorite ice cream?" he questions. I feel the flush coming to my cheeks looking.

"Bad example," I reply. "Like someone recently got me a good gift without even speaking to me. Hawks raises an eyebrow.

"How was that?" he asks. I think carefully because I really don't know how Todoroki picked out my gift at all.

"I'm not sure to be honest," I admit. "I know I got someone a gift because it seemed like something they would like. We never spoke two words to each other. I decided to go based off their personality. It is a stretch but if you follow your heart you can't go wrong." Hawks nods liking what I said.

"Hmmm you are good," he admits. "I must admit I don't think their favorite ice cream would impress them. However, you have given me other ideas…." I look at him sipping my coffee.

"Sounds like this kid might be closed off," I reply. I think about Todoroki. Sadly, he is still closed off towards me, but I will continue to slowly earn his trust. All I want is his friendship if he lets me. "If they are closed off getting them something personal is going to be key here. Um I hope that helps."

"It does," he grins. "I appreciate it kid. Did you want a picture or something?"

"Oh, that would be great!" I exclaim. I pull out my phone and Hawks pulls me into his side grinning. I didn't even get a chance to smile because I was so nervous. I look anxious as fuck in that photo.

"I'll see you around kid," he replies. Hawks turns away from spreading his wings taking off into the sky. Wow…..that is pretty cool. I wonder what it would be like to fly. I go back to drinking my coffee deciding to go home for the weekend instead of staying in the dorm. I'm sure my mom won't be there long as she is really enjoying her relationship with Endeavor. I make sure to send an email to my adviser informing them I'm staying with my mom this weekend. I get to the apartment in 30 minutes. I know my mom is presence as I can hear the TV. I use my key letting myself in.

"Hi mom," I reply. My face immediately drops. "Oh my god!" I turn away as my mom attempts to cover herself.

"Izuku!" she cries. My mom was riding the shit out of Enji. No teen should have to see their mom fucking. This is far worse than me walking in on them making out.

"I thought you said he was going to stay at the school?" asked Enji. I'm still looking at the floor.

"I'm sorry, I just wanted to come home…" I say lowly.

"It's okay Izuku," says mom. I can hear her moving around. "You can look now." I don't. I turn quickly running to my room closing the door. God did they really need to have sex in the living room? I almost want to go back to my dorm. I can't stop seeing it. I busy myself getting out of my uniform and into some fresh clothes. I sigh when my mom knocks on the door.

"Come in," I reply sitting on my bed.

"Hey sweetheart," she says closing the door. God I can't even look at her.

"Hey mom," I reply looking off at my newest LeMillion figure.

"Um…sorry….."she apologizes. "Is everything okay? You usually don't come home unless something is wrong?"

"Nothing is wrong," I reply. "I honestly didn't want to be around my classmates. So, I came home." Mom walks over to me and I still can't look at her.

"Izuku, I'm sorry you had to see me um having relations," she says. "You do know I care about him, right?"

"Yes, I do know," I reply. "I've never seen you so happy." I finally look at her. I can tell she is indeed very sorry about what I saw.

"I'm so glad you're happy for me," she replies. Mom tossed on a long skirt and a tee. She sits down beside me on my bed. "You know Todoroki birthday is coming up."

"Is it?" I question. We talk but not on a personal level like that.

"It's on the 11th," mom replies. "His father wants to throw him a surprise party."

"Todoroki isn't going to like that," I reply.

"You think so?" asked mom.

"Mom, I am not super close to Todoroki but he is kind of loner at school," I explain. "He doesn't even eat with his classmates. He is sitting off by himself. If they do sit with him, he barely says anything."

"Enji already has everything in motion," says mom. "I think this might be something good for Todoroki, don't you? He can break the ice at his surprise birthday party!" I still don't like this but I doubt Enji is going to back down.

"Okay," I reply. "I won't tell him."

"Good, now you have to get him a gift!" she exclaims. Jesus, I could barely survive getting him something the last time. I listen as my mom tells me when and where the party is taking place. God, I hope Todoroki doesn't kill us.
