Morning comes too quickly for Grant as he notices that the curtains are open over the balcony. He sits up and stretches his arms up over his head and realizes that he hasn't slept this soundly in a while.
"Hey, handsome," Callie calls from the other side of the room. She's wearing a short white silk robe watching him. "I would have let you sleep longer but the other two might be pissed if they don't get breakfast."
"Damn siblings," he says, watching her walk towards the bed.
"Be nice," she says as she crawls over to him. "Tommy doesn't know you are home. He has been pacing waiting for you to come back. If he knew you were England he would have demanded to tag along."
"Poor little Tommy," Grant says before leaning in and kissing her.
She just laughs as she continues to kiss him. Grant quickly moves to flip her over as he moves his hands to her hips. He quickly begins to massage her hips as he kisses her passionately. She returns to nipping at his lips, before hearing, "Attention to all, group breakfast on the top floor in thirty minutes. Do not be late," from Tony's voice.
"Seriously," Grant groans as he lets out an annoyed breath. "Is he trying to kill me?"
"Probably," she says looking into his eyes. "Come on we can save time by sharing a shower?"
"No, that will make us extremely late because of all the things I want to do to you but can't because of," he begins grumbling.
She shakes her head before kissing him and weaving her fingers into his hair. "Take what you can get," she says between kisses. She gently pushes him off before walking back towards the ensuite.
"You know you don't play fair," he says as he watches. She just smirks and takes off the silk camisole and tosses it at him before entering the ensuite. He lets out a frustrated breath before getting up and following her.
"Callie, any idea what Tony wants this morning," Thomas says as he walks into his sister-in-law's room. He looks around and notices a bag by the door.
"Told you he would come looking for an answer," Callie says as she steps out of the bathroom wearing a black dress with white trim and bow and a silver oval belt cinched at the waist. "Morning Thomas."
"Why didn't you tell us he was coming back," Thomas asks as he leans against the wall of the hall leading into their room. "Yesterday you said you had no clue when he would be back."
"Lying are we," Grant says as he follows her. "She knew as of yesterday afternoon that I would be back sometime last night or early this morning."
" I was not lying, just didn't give him all the details," she says as she grabs a few files off of the dresser at the end of their room. "It was supposed to be a surprise for this morning. If I had told him yesterday, he would have cancelled his day and that would not have been acceptable."
"Says who," Thomas argues as he watches the two move in sync.
"It took you almost an extra six months to schedule a meeting with the realtor after you cancelled twice," Callie says as she turns to look at him. "You have been complaining for almost a year that the store is too small for all of the orders you are getting."
Thomas just grumbles before leaving the room.
"Harsh," Grant says as he looks at her. "Does Patty know I'm back?"
"Of course," she says as she zips up her bag. "Her schedule is pretty much booked solid as we are entering the post-Christmas Gala season and has Valentine's weddings to worry about."
Grant just shakes his head before quickly catching a small box that she tosses at him.
"He got them in yesterday," she says as she fiddles through her jewellery box. "He was late for dinner. Says we shouldn't have waited till the last minute to order them, the engraving was a pain to get done."
He just smiles as he opens the box and notices the silver male wedding band. He picks it up and looks at the engraving, 'be a guiding light, a beacon of hope, just you.' He smiled as he looked at it before slipping it on his finger. He smiles as she pulls out a heart-shaped pendant. "You kept it."
"Why wouldn't I," she says as she turns to him. He quickly walks over to her and takes the necklace in his hand and puts it around her neck. "Do you know that Thomas created an entire line around this piece? Got into repeating shapes and blending shapes."
"I think this is the piece that got him into it," Grant says as he places his hands on her hips. "He'd seen me looking at it for months before I decided to buy it."
