There was a sliver of sunlight streaming into the house of the vampire brothers until the front door was slammed shut by the body weight of a kidnapper and an angry mother.
Ezra went soaring towards a wall during that quick struggle screaming all the way even after his horror story ended when Damon caught him.
" Don't kill her," the blue eyed bastard growled to the angry mother that just managed to hum an eerie tune in agreement as she glared down at the police officer.
" Did you happen to forget the most fact in all the history of mankind is that …hell hath no fury like a woman scorned especially when that pissed off bitch is a mother," I, the angry mother whispered down at the wide eyed police officer with a fang filled snarl
" El-... oh god...Vienna is that you," The woman yells right before nearly choking to death when I yanked her up above the ground by her grey shirt collar.
My eyes and face were monstrous as I asked quite sweetly about how she came to learn my bloody name.
" I...I .. helped...rai..se you," the woman managed to cough out as her fair skin began to dye itself a faint azul color.
That's when the blue eyed bastard decided it was time to remove the would be kidnapper from my grasp .
" Did I happen to have a twin named Elena?"
The renewed vigor of the terror in her eyes at the mere sound of my question sent me laughing.
Ezra screaming alone in a corner was finally registered by my ears which immediately murdered any laughter .
That's when the angry mother took control and with a single quick precise action the kidnapper was wailing in shocked pain at the sight of her broken leg.
When I took a few steps towards my cowering son he took one teary eyed look at me and begged to be left alone .
" No ...no more… boogeyman's ...no more monsters!"
" My dear lucifer, it's your turn to do something productive so please shut that annoying woman up and get Mr.Grumpy under control when he awakens from his celestial dirt nap. Oh and most importantly cure the miniature Satan of his annoying meltdown," I hissed while storming into the den in search of a stash of spirits.
Damon for once doesn't have a smart ass comment to go with a smart ass smirk.
In fact right now he was all frowns and glares as he obediently goes about completing his assigned tasks.
The would be kidnapper's wailing falls silent when she is knocked out.
Damon leaves her laying on the wooden floor just outside the entrance to the living room.
He speaks gently to Ezra as he compels the darkness of insanity and fear from the child's mind.
" Why's that woman on the ground mommy," Ezra inquires as he skips over the woman with an over the top wrinkled nose.
" Don't worry too much about her, she's just practicing an audition for the role of sleeping beauty," I whispered in the midst of realizing that my search for an alcohol bottle had been forgotten before it even started.
My body is sent crashing onto the coach when Ez tackles me in a miniature bear hug.
He is Succumbs to a giggling fit in the aftermath of his smile filled attack.
I just ran my hands through his dark hair and nearly screamed when they began to tremble .
" Ezra , What do you feel about meeting your auntie Elena?"
Just like I expected my darling son squeals at the thought of meeting a member of my long lost… forgotten family.
Then he nearly destroys my hearing with a series of seemingly endless questions about Auntie Elena.
Who is fastly becoming the bane of my existence.
I shush him quiet and when his shaking pout appears a simple statement advising him its best to ask Elena these questions manges to calm down his displeasure.
" So was your cheese eggs any good?"
" Yep they were good but yours are still the besties in the whole world !"
I bopped him on the nose and praised him for his clever answer.
Then Damon settled down next to us on the coach with two glasses of bourbon.
" Can I have some of that , sir," Ezra asks with a sweet smile.
I shot down that dream of his real quick with a simple statement of ," I will not suffer having an alcoholic toddler for a son!"
That blue eyed bastard just smirks and tells my precious baby ," Ask me that question again when your mother Lilith is not around ."
