Chapter 7

Well, it wasn't like Romans day could get any worse at this point. Two of the students he was supposed to protect had just been taken away by a giant flying grimm. Weren't these students supposed to be able to protect themselves? They were all huntsmen in training after all, they were supposed to deal with this kind of thing.

Damn these stupid children, they really couldnt do anything right. There were way too many of them in this world. Was it possible to go back to Cinder? Perhaps leveling Beacon to the ground would solve his headache? Roman actually humored the thought, but sadly Cinder wasn't the most forgiving person. In fact it was more likely for a Grimm to relinquish its evil ways, go buy some clothes and start a little suburban Grimm family.

Roman did have a job to do tough, he wasn't allowed to just leave the students hanging after all. That could very well get him fired, and he really didn't have anywhere to go. Damn the headmaster, putting Roman in a spot like this truly was dishonourable. Tough Roman couldn't be sure if Ozpin had planned for something like this. Always hard to tell when it came to that madman.

Either way Roman might as well get moving, after all the Nevermore wouldn't wait for him to catch up. Well, it was about time to save some students. Sadly fate did not intend for it to be that easy.

After about ten minutes of trying to follow the nevermore Roman admitted defeat. He had given it a shot, now the children were most likely dead. No real harm done there, there were sadly a lot more children in the forest then little Red and the Schnee. So it was about time to go to that shrine and check to make sure everyone had made it alive.

So once again Roman was off, this time making his way through the forest with a pace slightly faster than the last time. He really wanted to finish this. Perhaps if he finished it fast enough he could pretend it had never happened. So far he hadn't been scarred for life, but if this continued he might as well be.

A loud "Yeeehaw!" was heard through the forest. Moments later a large ursa crashed through some nearby trees. Roman couldn't believe what he was seeing. A little brat with orange hair was riding the thing. A brat was riding an Ursa...

"Ren! This is awesome!" The girl shouted out.

"Nora! Wait up!" A guy probably called Ren shouted back.

The mad girl made a slight pout, dramatically sighed and drove her hammer straight into the Ursas skull. Why couldn't these children just be normal?

Ren came running out of the forest, stopping right besides Nora.

"Promise me you'll never do that again Nora." The boy didn't look worried he was smiling in fact.

"Okay Ren. But it was reallyy fun. besides I got to impress our teacher"

Impress him? If anything Roman was sure that she was a nutcase. This girl might be worse than little Red. He'd need to finish this test quickly.

"Well what you did certainly caught my attention" was Romans answer to that

"See Ren, I am already making our grades better! This went perfect, utterly perfect " At Least the girl had spirit.

Ren just smiled and said "That's great Nora"

They were so close to the temple. Perhaps Roman would be able to keep his sanity till then.

He doubted it, but a man could always hope.

"Well then kiddos, let's get going shall we."

"Aye, aye captain!" Nora saluted.

Ren just shrugged and followed along.

.

Crap. Ruby thought as she was being hurled along by the huge Grimm. What was she supposed to do now?

"What are we supposed to do now?" She asked her partner.

Weiss just looked at her with a blank expression. Ruby honestly wondered why.

"It was your plan to grab onto this thing Rose, shouldn't you know what to do?"

Fair, that was fair. But Ruby didn't have much of a plan.

"We could always let go?"

"Let go?! Are you crazy?" Weiss looked quite shocked.

"Cmon, just do it when I do it.

"You are crazy!"

Ruby dropped right then and there. Falling from the nevermore was a small price to pay. She had not expected to fall flat onto her friend and professor Roman.

"Sorry Roman, I didn't mean it" She hadn't meant it. He was just standing in the wrong place at the wrong time.

He grunted in reply, why did he do that? Oh wait she was laying on top of him!

"Sorry, really sorry. I'M VERY SORRY." She jumped up immediately. Would this affect her grades?!

"Little red, I really can't get away from you can I?" The man looked somewhat grumpy. Kind of reminded her of uncle Qrow

He had a nickname for her? Perhaps her grades were still fine? This was still salvageable right?

"That's my Ruby, always dropping in when least expected." That was Yang's voice. And it was a terrible pun.

Indeed her sister was right there. In fact there were quite a lot of people around here. Jaune was here, so was a black haired girl, an orange haired girl with a hammer and a black haired boy. Quite the welcoming party.

"Welcome to the relic place rubes, where your partner?"

"Oh, she's still on the nevermore. I don't think she had the guts to let go."

Everyone looked quite surprised at that. Jaune looked terrified.

Then a redhead came running out of the forest, followed by a Deathstalker. Wait, was that Pyrrha Nikos? She was so cool. Ruby couldn't help but squeal slightly. She'd get to meet a celebrity and fight a deathstalker. Best, day, ever.

.

Adam Taurus was furious. No not furious, he was raging with pure hatred. The white fang in Vale had been decimated, set back years in fact. Roman Torchwick had made sure of that.

That girl had decimated personnel, money and weapons. Every single base that the bastard ever had been to had been visited by his lackey. That girl had been a thorn in his and his employers side for the last couple of days.

Luckily for Adams already poor sanity the girl appeared to have run out of bases to raid. The bases that could be at risk had been evacuated. They had learned that trying to set a trap for the girl hadn't been the brightest of ideas. He himself was the living proof of that.

However Adam was not a man that let things go easily. He would have his revenge. He'd train harder, he'd become stronger, faster and smarter until he could extinguish her spirit and crush it under his feet.

Perhaps he could do it together with Blake? They could kill the brat together. Yes Blake would love that. Once he found her and she came back to him that was one thing they could do.

But alas, the white fang needed time to rebuild first. Adam might be an obsessive stalker but he wasn't an idiot. If he tried going after Blake now that could be the end of him and the fang. Then there wouldn't be any fang for him and Blake to rule over.

Another problem to his plans was Cinder. She thought Adam a fool, she thought he wouldn't notice what she thinks of him. Right now he was but a tool, but he would be damned if he ever became an expendable one. Cinder fall would get what was coming to her one day. But for now he needed her. If only to ensure his and Blake's place in the world.

Once he and Blake were united they could finally strike down all their enemies. It would be so romantic. So romantic indeed.

.

Blake Belladonna suddenly had the strange feeling of wanting to vomit.

AN.

Short chapter today, sorry about that. If you haven't noticed yet, I dislike visiting a character more than once each chapter. It's not a great excuse but oh well. Anyway thanks for following, favourites and for reviews. I do appreciate ideas thrown at me, in fact feel free to. Perhaps you have something in mind which I could use. Thanks for reading.
