A/N: Hey guys, sorry it's been a while but I'm back!

As Lena walked into her penthouse, Kara followed closely behind, shaking and staggering slightly. When Kara got in, she collapsed onto the couch, apologising to Lena who told her it's okay and that she doesn't need to apologise.

"Thank you L- Lena, it really means a lot to me." Kara looks at Lena and smiles, stroking her cheek softly and kissing Lena softly on the lips.

"No problem sweetie." Lena shifts Kara and moves to the kitchen and grabs two glasses of water, she returns to Kara's side and offers one to her Kryptonian lover, after taking a sip, she feels weird, she looks at Kara and gasps a cry of panic as she realises that her lover has green veins - kryptonite. Lena tried to pick up Kara but felt weak, real weak, she stumbled to a closet and, pressing a button in the back, the door opened. Lena went in and entered a kryptonite suit, filtering out the toxin from her system before moving to help the afflicted Kara. After she put Kara into the suit and moved her so she's comfortable. Lena then sat and waited for her lover to wake up…

Meanwhile, Kara's memories are going through great change. She forgets all the things she experienced since coming out of the Phantom Zone, she only remembers Krypton's destruction, being dragged into the phantom zone. Then her memories begin to get overridden, she forgets her long period in there, presuming she comes out at her current age, her forgetting Lena, Alex... her family.

Kara awakens with a start, standing and looking around, clawing at the helmet until soft, caring, metallic hands press on her chest and the suit pools off her. She looks at the woman who then removes her suit and Kara staggers back slightly.

"who are you?" Kara says, cautious of this strange woman helping her.

"Kara, I don't speak Kryptonian, are you okay?" Kara backs off even more, her fists balled slightly in stress. Lena cautiously steps forward and removed the device storing the suit before placing it on the table and taking her hand slowly, attempting not to scare Kara, who is blinking rapidly.

"K- Kara?" Lena looked at Kara hopefully but nearly sobbed as the Kryptonian pulled away and sped out of the penthouse, flying off the balcony and into the distance as Lena removes her suit and changes into a jacket and leggings, her eyes covered by a hat as she walks out of her apartment, sobbing.

As Alex entered her apartment, she immediately dropped her bag and, slamming her door shut, ran to Lena's side.

"Lena! Are you okay?" Lena nods, sniffling as she hoarsely croaked out.

"It's Kara..." Those words pierced Alex like a knife.

'Where is she? Is she okay?' Those questions crossed Alex's mind, however she started simple. "What happened?"

"We were happily lying together, after what happened last night, I... I..." Lena broke down crying again and Alex rubbed her back slowly until she calmed down. "I got us some water but... it was poisoned... knocked Kara out... I had to h- help her... but when she woke up... oh god... s- she didn't even know me Alex... h- her own girlfriend... it was so horrible but deep down I know it's not Kara but it still hurts..." Alex hugged Lena close until a sound caught Lena's attention. She moved shakily to the window and opened the curtain to see Kara floating there, her hands shaking as her eyes are stained with tears.

"Lena?" Kara held out a tear stained hand and Lena took it, pulling Kara into a big hug which the blonde reciprocated, hugging Lena close before pulling away and blinking. "I kinda remember... sort of..." Lena tilted her head to the side and Kara realised that Lena might not understand Kryptonian. She scratched her neck in pondering before trying to act it out with little success, confusing Lena more.

"Kara, can you write it down?" Lena acted it out and Kara nodded, writing down in Kryptonian what she was trying to say. Lena read it and nodded before responding in Written Kryptonian. "Sort of? I see... do you remember us? The last few months?" Kara nodded slowly as she made sense of Lena's slightly messy writing. Kara then wrote.

"Can you teach me your language?" Lena nodded and responded with an action of sleeping. Kara nodded in understanding and flew Lena to where she remembered leaving earlier.

As Kara landed, she felt tired. Tired of the endless research for the mysterious energy messing with her mind, the endless attempts at solving the problem with mixed results. She nearly collapsed when she stepped inside of Lena's penthouse, she lay on the floor and sighed.

"I missed you" Kara covered her mouth and looked at Lena confused.

"Kara... you spoke English, it's in there still... please let me help you get it out..."

"There is nothing you can do. I tried everything possible." Kara, unaware that she was speaking English, then tried to act it out before having her hands held by Lena.

"Your doing it Kara... keep going."

"Doing what? I'm not doing anything, I haven't got the energy to do anything. How can you understand anyway, I'm speaking Kryptonia-" Then it clicked that she was speaking mostly English, with only small bits of her sentences being in Kryptonian and she melted to Lena's touch. "I... Thank you so much... I... I'm so sorry about earlier... I didn't know what was happening and I... I was so confu-" She was cut off by a deep kiss from Lena, silencing her.

"It's okay Kara, I was confused too... I can make something to help you properly." Lena smiled warmly and held Kara close as they both slept.
