Ryo's Secret Past

Part 2

Takato was wowed! The person in front of him, someone he knew, was a Digidestined and from the world of TV series.

Henry thought about Ryo's revelation before speaking.

"If you're from there, Ryo, that means you came from another reality or dimension, am I correct?" he asked.

"Yes, it's true, I am from another dimension" respond Ryo.

"Then how did you get here?" asked Terriermon, who was eager to find out.

"Well, as I was telling you, I ended up in the digital world after Agumon told me that Tai and Matt were in trouble and needed help.

After we defeated some wild Digimon, we went to Gennai's house where he told us of a threat to the digital world" he said.

"Cool, you also met Gennai?" asked Takato.

"Goggle Head, I know you're excited, but could you please stop interrupting," said Rika with a serious look.

Looking at her, he nodded and said "You're right. Sorry Ryo".

"It's okay, I'm just glad Kenta and Kazu aren't here, or I might not be able to talk at all," he said.

The others agreed that those two were fan boys of all things Digimon.

"So, Gennai told us about the new threat: Millenniummon"

Ryo said.

"Millenniunmom?" asked Henry.

"Yes, he was a DNA Digimon created from both the Data of Kimeramon and Machinedramon".

The tamers pondered this. They knew of both characters from the TV series, and tried to imagine them fused together.

"He was created after when Machinedramon's data reassmbled from his battle with WarGreaymom, he found Kimeramon and fused together" continued Ryo.

"After Apocalyamon was destroyed, he rose to power and defeated the digidestined and the four Sovereign as well"

Hearing this surprisied the Digimon in the room as they remembered how powerful the Sovereign were when they met them.

"To be able to defeat a Sovereign is both an impressive feat and also terrifying to say the least," said Renamon.

"Yeah, but those guys are the strongest of the strong, next to us of course," said Terriermon.

Renamon glared at Terriermon for saying this, but Gulimon repiled.

"We must remember Terriermon that the Sovereign are strong but even they had trouble the D-REAPER," said the red dinosaur.

Terriermon was about to say something but choose not to knowing Gulimon was right.

"Anyway after this Millenniummon created copies of the enemies that the digidestined had defeated before to wreak havoc," Ryo said.

"Gennai said that me and Agumon should defeat the weaker evil Digimon first, then move on to the others."

Ryo then said how he and Agumon defeated Millenniummon's forces while gathering allies to fight againist the tyrant. He also said that they freed the Digidestined who would help in his mission and later defeated Millenniummon.

After this he took a Picture with his new friends which he showed next to the Tamers.

"Things went back to normal after that, three months later I watched the Battle on the Internet where Tai and the Others fought against Diaboramon," he said after putting the picture back in the box.

"Just like the movie (Our War Games)," said Henry.

"Yes, just like the movie. After Millenniummon returned and caused more chaos by spiting the digitial world in two, I learned that another Kid was chosen to become a digidestined, and that he would help me deafet Millenniummon for good."

"Who was this kid?" asked Rika curiously.

"Ken Ichijouji."

"No way! The guy who became the Digimon Emperor?" said Rika surprised.

"Yes, but he was different back then, he was a kind person before he became the Emperor" Ryo said a little sadly.

Ryo then told them how he and Ken worked together to defeat Millenniummon again, but then told them that the Dark Spore that turned Ken into a genius was created from Millenniummon's data.

"So the dark spore was created by Millenniummon and not by Oikawa in the second series," said Henry.

"Yeah, that's something that the series got wrong," Ryo said with angry face.

The others saw this and were puzzled by his reaction.

"You see the second season of the tv series didn't talk about Ken's history with Millenniummon 'cause they didn't know it happened."

"They created a different story involving Cody's father and Oikawa wanting to go the digital world, and him being controlled by Myotismon to creating the dark spore so he can get a new body".

"So everything that happens after Ken was defeated didn't actually happen?" said Takato.

"No, it didn't and that is what makes me so mad about it, they ignored the story of what really happened and created something totally stupid!" he said more angered.

"Ryo, take it easy," Takato said, trying to calm him down.

Seeing this Rika stepped in too.

"He's right, there's no reason to get worked up".

"Worked up about how some writers wrote a fake story about my home world that didn't happen? How can I not be worked up Rika!" he stood up and yelled.

"Ryo, you have the right to be angry, but there's no reason to yell at your friends, they're just trying to help you," said Monodramon.

Hearing this from his partner, he realized he was right and calmed down.

"You're right, I'm sorry guys, it's just hard for me to live with," he said looking down.

"It's okay, if we found out someone wrote a story that didn't happen about our lives, I would be mad as well" said Rika smiling at him.

Takato and Henry agreed with her.

Seeing this Ryo smiled back at her blushing at bit, then sat back down and continued his story.

"After we thought he was gone for good, Millenniummon came again, but this time with powers I'd never seen before".

"What do you mean?" asked Henry.

"Millenniummon had the power of control over space and time, so he used them to send me back in time to the 1940's," Ryo said.

This news left the tamers and Digimon speechless.

"There I meet Monodramon for the first time, and he became my partner. I also learned something important."

Ryo then took a deep breath and spoke.

"After I arrived we learned the origin of the Digital World. It was created by the world's first computer called Atanasoft, and with support from the second computer ENIAC, it was activated to create the Digital World. Later on it would be diverged into alternate realities overtime, creating different versions in those worlds."

This was a lot for his friends to take in.

"So the digital world of our reality is an alternate version of the orginal created by the computers in the 40's. Incredible!"

said Henry.

"Yeah, it is," said Takato imaging all the different versions of the digital world and the Digimon.

"Then what happened?" asked Renamon who was thoroughly invested in the story.

"Later on I was able to return to the future to battle Millenniummon for the last time. I got the digidestined to help me and we fought against him".

"Did you defeat him for good, 'cause you said was beaten twice and still kept coming back?" asked Rika.

"Yes, but during the battle I learned a hard truth about Millenniummon. He was supposed to be my original partner".

"What?! He was supposed to be your partner?" everyone said, minus Monodramon.

"Yeah, it seems that long ago a Digimon was chosen to be my partner, but because I never came to the digital world he wandered around waiting for me."

"Like how Gatomon was for Kairi" said Terriermon, who had seen the original series.

"Yes, that's right but at some point he was found by Apocalymon, who used him in an experiment which resulted in Kimeramon's creation" Ryo said with a sad expression.

This saddend the tamers and the digimon to hear this.

"But Kimeramon was too deranged to control due to the data of all the Digimon fighting for control, so Apocalymon cast him away in a pocket universe".

"Then how did he return?" asked Henry.

"After Apocalymon was defeated, Kimeramon was freed from the prison he was sent into and rampaged thru the Digitial World. Tai and the others were called back and they defeated him" Ryo paused before speaking again.

"But Machinedramon found his body before he was destroyed and merged creating Millenniummon, he then used his powers of time to make them forget that they fought Kimeramon," he said with grim experssion.

"That would explain why in the second series they don't remember him when Ken created him," Rika said.

"Yes" said Ryo "Millenniummon's evil inside the dark spore must have given Ken the idea to create Kimeramon."

"So anyway, Ryo you were saying about the finale battle" said Takato getting back on track.

"Oh right," Ryo continued. "We all fought but during the battle we were transported here to this dimension's digitial world where Monodramon pulled a risky move where he and Millenniummon were merged together".

"Wow, you defeated Millenniummon!" said Takato looking at Monodramon.

"Yep. I caused him and I to merge together, with us reverting back into a Digi Egg," said the purple dragon.

"Later on when he hatched he was himself again but I noticed that when he battles as Cyberdramon, sometimes he loses control. I know that means he's fighting Millenniumon's will," said Ryo.

The three knew that Ryo was right as they had seen this before.

"I've been able to keep him in control so far, but I've got to keep an eye on him during fights".

They looked at the purple dragon Digimon thinking how brave he must be to keep that evil down.

"After that I started living here being adopted by my Dad or adoptive Dad and began my new life, when I found out the people knew about Digimon here I was excited" Ryo said, smiling for a bit.

"But then I learned they saw them as fictional characters. so I decided not to say anything or people might think I'm crazy," he then chuckled a bit.

"Since then I accepted that I might not get home, which in a way makes me the lost hero," Ryo said then frowned.

Everyone looked at him in shock and surprise at the story of former digidestined turned tamer.

"Oh that's so sad!" said Gulimon, who started to cry.

"Come on boy, don't cry," said Takato, who was trying to calm him down.

Terriermon jumped into Henry's arms and began to sob as well.

Rika tried to hold in her tears but then saw Renamon hand her a napkin. She nodded to her friend and wiped them away.

Ryo was touched at how his friends felt. For years he wondered how others would react about his past, but now he could see how much they cared.

After calming down, Takato asked Ryo, "Ryo do you think the voice that was controlling Kuwagamon and Cerberumon came from your World?"

Ryo thought about this before replying.

"It's possible he did say all worlds would fall which means he must know about the alternate Digital Worlds".

"Do you think the Millenniummon might be the voice?" asked Terrierimon.

"No, if it was him I would know" said Ryo. "I'd recognize his voice anywhere."

"Besides, his data is part of me" said Monodramon to the white rabbit.

"True, but his data is also in the spore that's in Ken, so you never know," added in Henry.

"Or maybe it's something else. There are other evil forces that tried to destroy the digital world," Rika added.

They all nodded, then Takato said, "Guys, if something is going on in the digidestined's world, then we have to go there and stop it or our world and all others will be destroyed" he said heroically.

"Good plan goggle head, but how do we get there?" Rika said to him.

"Well, if the voice sent two Digimon from the digital world of Ryo's dimension to our world, then there must be a portal or breach that we can use, right Henry?" Takato said looking at his friend.

Henry thought about this for a minute then said, "It's possible but the digital world is a big place. It could take a while to find the entry point," he said to everyone.

"I'm sure that Yamaki and your Dad will find a way," Takato said, then saw his phone go off.

"Speaking of which...Hi Yamaki hmm, yeah, sure we can come in tomorrow...okay talk to you then," Takato said, ending the call.

The others had a felling what the call was about when Takato spoke.

"Yamaki wants to see us tomorrow. He says that Mr. Shibumi found something that he wants to us to look at."

"Do you think it's about what we just talking about" asked Ryo

"Could be, and if so, spooky," said Terriermon.

This made everyone laugh. They finished their snacks and left Ryo's house, each heading for home.

That night the tamers were thinking about what had been told today. They were filled with so many emotions of excitement, fear, curiosity and so on, but they knew that this would be the beginning of a new adventure for them.
