When Zeke got home, he decided to text Zara about what happened at school. He could have told her when he saw her leaving the building to go to Adrian's house, but there could have been someone who would have overheard. The last thing Zeke needs is some gossiper like the brainiacs who run the school newspaper to find out he's gay. If he ever saw a headline that said, "Zeke Baylor is Gay" he would die on the spot. No joke.
Zeke: Hey Zara! Ryan did something 2day.
Zara: Wut he do?
Zeke: He smiled at me!
Zara: That's all?
Zeke: He checked me out 2
Zara: Really?!
Zeke: Yup. And when I noticed him, he jst smiled at me
Zara: … Do u know what that means?!
Zeke: ?
Zara: He was trying 2 eye fck u!
Zeke: Eye fck me?
Zara: It's fcking with ur eyes
Zeke: Lol, I don't think that's a thing
Zara: It is, I swear. I wouldn't lie 2 u Zeke
Zeke: how do u evn eye fck anyway?
Zara: u jst look him deeply in the eye and try not 2 come off as a weirdo

Zeke felt a flutter in his heart at the thought of Ryan liking him back. How would he know for sure? Is there even a way you find these things out? Is Zara lying about the "eye fucking" thing , or is it legit? Either way, Zara says that Ryan may like Zeke back and that's all that matters to him right now. He sighed and laid on his bed. Maybe he should just confess to Ryan...
A few minutes later, Zeke was standing in the bathroom.
"Hey, so I like you. Do you like me?" Zeke said to himself looking in the mirror. "Nah. How bout, Hey, you're hot I'm hot, marry me!" Zeke shook his head. "Nope. Not that either. How about... I like you. You are my sun, my moon, and my guiding star." He shrugged. "I'm not sure if Ryan likes Barry White... how about... I like you a lot and I think we should be together because we are meant to be! Do you agree, or is it just me? Ugh, I'll come off as dr. Seuss."
His phone buzzed with a text message from Ryan!
Ryan: Hey! I 4got to ask u the upside down cake recipe... wut was it again?
Zeke: I'll email it 2 u if u want
Ryan: Yes, thx!
Zeke: ;)
Ryan: ;D
Zeke smiled at his phone. He's in love with Ryan. He loves Ryan the way Troy loves Gabriella. The way Chad loves Taylor. The way The Cookie Monster loves cookies. He wants to be Ryan's boyfriend more than anything. More than he wants to become a chef someday. More than he likes basketball. More than he likes anything. He just really wants to tell Ryan.
