Alright there's more to this than i thought so this is going to be a 3 parter now, i just wanted to post what i have so far. Enjoy.

It must've leapt 20, no 30 feet into the air before slamming into one of the bay windows on the third floor lounge shattering its way into their safe haven. Juan's blood ran cold and his stomach sank, after raving about how much safer they were he now had to eat crow as he rushed the kids away from the balcony.

"But where are we going to go?" He heard one of the girls say but couldn't put a face to the voice.

"Just run to the elevator I'll distract it!"

Before they had made it to the door he felt a strong grip on his arm pull him back and turned to see Brooklynn in tears. "No! Not again!"

Juan was about to question her when he heard the creature roar from somewhere down below, he had no way of knowing how many floors down it was but it didn't feel like enough. He wrestled her hands away from his bicep and handed her over to Ben who though clearly panicked looked more collected than the others, stepping quickly to the fireplace where he had placed his belongings earlier he rummaged through his bag for the flare gun and collected the shotgun from atop the fireplace. He finger fucked the feed tube to pull out a single shell and squeezed it in his hand to gauge how well it had dried. The cardboard felt dry enough but it was all a little too heavy to hope for fully dried powder, he grimaced and cursed himself quietly for being so complacent before shoving the shell back inside and racking it.

"I'm not gonna die here. I'm gonna die an old man being a burden to all the people around me. Now get moving!"

Everyone filed out into the hallway, Yazmina was the first to reach the elevator slamming the call button repeatedly in a desperate effort to get it moving quickly. A single soft relaxing ding assured her it would be on its way meanwhile Juan jumped over to the stairwell and peeked through a small gap he made in the door. If that animal was somehow smart enough to realize where they were by hearing a single word come out of Ben's mouth it might be smart enough to figure its way around the hotel to come up and get them. He had heard rumors after all, about the original park, and now that Grady guy was working with raptors too.

Nothing.

He breathed a sigh of relief shutting the door and locking it with the key, two high grade 8 inch steel bolts slammed into place above and below the door frame securing it in place.

"Dude!" Kenji whipped him around. "Darius isn't here!"

He didn't bother looking around for him. "Jump in the elevator with the rest and take them to the service basement, it's practically a bomb shelter." Juan ripped the keys from his belt loop and handed them to him. "It's the key numbered B-17. B! 1! 7! Got it!"

He ran back to their room.

"What about you!?"

"I know the code!"

The bell dinged as he crossed the threshold into the room, he might still have time if he could only find that little left behind. He wasn't in the living room but before he could continue searching he found him running out of one of the bedrooms holding something in his hand. Juan was about to call him every name in the book when a strange squawk called their attention to the balcony.

There hanging off the edge was the devil himself staring daggers at them with teeth as crooked as its smile, large black eyes sunk into its skull reflecting just the smallest hint of light from the fireplace and its nose or lack thereof gave them a gory visage of the hollow of its sinuses red and glistening with mucus. It squawked again bidding them hello as it slowly slung over the railing and gaped its jaws open menacingly ready for the attack. Juan refused to die this way, he had seen the same kind of maw coming for him one too many times to be afraid anymore. He raised the shotgun and squeezed off a round at his assailant, the muzzle flash blinded him and his ears now came under assault.

What started as a roar whined itself into a whimper that sounded every bit as annoying as his uncle's alarm clock, a high shrill ringing that nearly erupted his ear drums giving him anxiety on another level. Only a second passed before his sight returned and he found himself looking down at the creature kicking and screaming the couch like a 4 year old throwing a tantrum. That was all he needed, grabbing Darius by his shirt collar he dragged him out of the room slamming the door behind them, down the hallway he found the teens waving them over but he knew it was too late.

"JUST GO!" He managed to belt out before the door exploded throwing the two of them backward, further away from the elevator. The creature came out snarling with a vengeance, the door hid Juan and Darius from his sight so the only thing he saw fit to attack was the scared group of kids hitting the close button in a panic. Juan kicked what remained of the door hoping to distract it but it had already started after them, thankfully by the time it reached them the shutters had already closed, unfortunately the only way he could see this was to sit still long enough to make sure they were alright. He realized what this meant as he and Darius lifted themselves as silently as they could and ran to the 2nd stairwell located on the far side of the hall. The pitter patter from their little feet alerted the creature to their presence and it turned to watch them walk through the door at the other end.

Juan slammed the door shut before reaching for his keys only to find them missing. Kenji! Damn! At least they would be safe. He turned to find Darius looking up at him from the landing below yelling at him to hurry up. He felt the inhuman thuds growing closer and he quickly leapt down after him.

Ben eyed the keyring Kenji was holding, the keys to every door in Jurassic World were in the hands of an idiot, even if Kenji knew how to get to the tunnels he wouldn't know which one to use. The elevator halted to a stop just one floor below beeping as it swung the doors open.

"What's going on?" Kenji spoke in his usually panicked voice.

"One of you hit the wrong button." Ben pointed to the number pad next to the spoiled rich kid, floors 6 and 5 were lit up though 6 quickly turned off.

"You better no be looking at me!"

"Kenji, you're literally standing next to them."

"Can you guys shut up!" Brooklynn interrupted. "Just close the door already!"

Kenji nodded and very slowly lifted his finger so that Ben could see him press the "Close Door" button correctly. The two held each other's gaze a moment longer until the doors split open again revealing yet another dark empty hallway. Again Kenji lifted his finger to push the button when the door at the end burst open, they all held their breaths for a second hoping that Juan and Darius would finally join them but that hope was quickly extinguished as a large bulky shadow turned its head toward them. Panic consumed him but Kenji was quick enough to push the button correctly on the first try however the second and third time he hit the "Open Door" button halting the doors when they were halfway closed and slowly opened them.

"KENJI!" They spoke in unison.

"RRAAWWRR!"

The roar froze them all in place except for Ben who reached over and shoved Kenji out of the way so he could push the right button then they all watched to their surprise as the monster seem to magically close half the distance in the blink of an eye. The doors didn't close early enough as the franken-dino slammed into them bending the them inward and shaking the elevator violently, the fluorescent bulbs installed in the ceiling flickered on and off as the covers fell but stayed mostly lit despite the elevator dropping almost six feet before the emergency breaks stopped it from falling any further. Everybody fell to the floor on top of each other, blurry eyed and dazed from the impact they all groaned and complained but seemed otherwise fine though Sammy became too quiet.

"Sammy?" Yazmina tried shaking her awake.

"Don't do that!" Ben spoke up. "She might be hurt bad, we have to wait until-" The sound of squealing metal interrupted him and they were all forced to look up at the two foot gap left betwen the 4th and 5th floors, a gap that was once again widening to reveal the stuff of nightmares staring down at them with disturbingly hopeful eyes. It pried the doors open but they had stopped short of opening fully as the bent metal made contact with the concrete shaft walls so that it could only just fit its snout through the opening. It snapped at them once before opening its jaws and allowing its grotesque serpent like tongue to grope blindly at them letting hot strings of drool drip down on them.

It roared once more at them in frustration forcing them to clap their hands over their ears, Yazmina felt dizzy enough from the impact and the smell that the roar nearly made her faint from the stress. She remembered the breathing exercises her coach had taught her to keep from running out of oxygen on the track. Taking long slow breaths helped keep her conscious though the stench made her wish she hadn't, she became increasingly aware of the situation when the monster pulled its head back only to stretch out its massive clawed hand in hopes of pulling one of them closer. Yaz pulled Brooklynn to the floor as it swiped the empty air above her head leaving long gnarled scratches on the intricate wood paneling that lined the walls, they held each other tight as it continued its fruitless assault until it gave up and forced its head through the gap again.

Kenji just cowered in the corner where Ben had shoved him earlier feeling a strange sense of fear and hopelessness wash over him as he entered an existential crisis. So many questions ran through his head that it didn't make sense trying to find the answers to any of them when the facts seemed to plain and simply say that he was going to die. Ben for some reason appeared out of nowhere and shook him, but why? He was starting to get annoyed the way he kept yelling at him when suddenly he reached back and slapped some sense into him. Suddenly Kenji broke out of his funk and he could understand what he was saying.

"LET'S GO!"

Kenji looked from him to the girls crawling through elevator doors being held open by Juan and Darius.

"The axe! Jam it!" He heard him say and Darius propped a fire axe in between the doors to keep them open. "Come on!"

Ben removed himself from Kenji and crawled after the girls as Juan waved him over. Kenji felt himself being spurred forward by the Ranger and planted his hand against the carpet to move when he came across Sammy's leg. He hadn't noticed anyone else was hurt until now.

"We can't leave her!" He tried to sound brave but the crack in his voice gave him away. To his surprise Juan reached over and ripped the keys out of his hand gifting them Ben.

"Get everyone down to the basement and hurry! Key B17! The stairs, Go!" He picked up his shotgun again and ran to the end of the hall, entered the stairwell, and rushed to the next floor. In his excitement he tripped on the last step and fell chest first hard on the concrete landing knocking the wind out of him, he simply didn't see the step. It was his idea to keep all the lights in the hotel off so as to not attract attention, 'A lot of good that did me' he thought picking himself up before opening the door gently. From where he stood he could see the intermittent outline of the dinosaurs haunches blinking in and out of existence in the flickering light of the elevator. His shotgun held 00 Buckshot there was no way he could cause that thing any hurt from this far away, there had to be at least a hundred feet between them. He felt his pocket to make sure he didn't drop his flare gun, it was there. Resting the shotgun against the wall he pulled out the flare gun quickly unclasping one of the flares from the handle, he heard what he assumed was Sammy's cries of fear come up from ahead and he took aim.

"HEY ASSWIPE!"

The response was quick, immediately removing its cadaverous skull to greet his nemesis, or its meal. Juan and the creature stared each other down from a distance, even through the dark hallway he could see its eyes hold a faint eerie glow that he was sure didn't come from any man made source. In a breath it came after him. He didn't wait to pull the trigger either and sent a missile showering red sparks down the hallway until it hit its intended target sending it into a manic squealing frenzy as it retreated from the glowing projectile now sitting idly on the floor burning a hole in the carpet starting a small fire. It snarled and snapped but refused to step a foot closer for fear of being blinded or burned as Juan soon came to realize. It was hunting at night, so it had to be nocturnal.

Picking up his shotgun again he made for the next floor down, the third floor lounge, to the kitchen!
