As we were selling the newspapers I spotted a large group of people approaching that I knew were going to be trouble by the way they were dressed. "Well what do we have here?" The male asked with a smirk.

"Just selling newspapers." I replied with a smile as I stared down the teen. "Care to buy one?" I asked as I held out a copy to him.

"No." The man replied as he wasn't interested. He then nodded to the female of the group, who prepared to smash the booth when I moved in between her and caught her hand, squeezing it until there was a cracking sound.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." I warned, glaring at her.

"You dare lay a hand on the Student Protection Committee?!" She shouted in anger.

"You're an arrogant little shit aren't you." The man said with a smirk. "I'll enjoy crushing you later. Now as for the matter of business. I might be persuaded to let this illegal club stay if you give me a kickback of, let's say... 90% of you profits."

"NO WAY!" Kurumu shouted at him as the others nodded as well. I only grinned as I let the girls hand go and looked at the man.

"Sorry to say this, but we're not an illegal club, we have permission from both the Head Master and a staff member." I said, crossing my arms.

"Oh really, and what about us?" He said as he grinned, confusing me. "A club must have permission form the Head Master, a staff member AND the head of the Student Protection Committee. Without all three, then you are an illegal club."

"You think so?" I asked as I crossed my arms. "And tell me, how would one go about getting approval? Bowing down and letting a bunch of thugs take whatever they earn? Not happening, we're legal and you know it." I said as we had a stare down for a moment before he turned and started to walk away.

"You will learn. Consider this your only warning. My name is Kuyou, and if you attempt to oppose me or the School Protection Committee, I will deem you an enemy of the school and have you dealt with accordingly." Kuyou stated as he walked away.

"As of now, no newspapers will be allowed to sell unless we receive your donation fee. Try to and I will make sure that you are dealt with." The girl said with a laugh as she ran off to catch up with Kuyou, with the others following them as well. I shook my head as I turned to look at Gin who looked both pale and annoyed.

"You alright?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Not really." Gin said as he sighed. "Last year, they did the same thing to the newspaper club. Because we didn't pay, they killed everyone, I managed to survive." He said, shocking me as he was an S-Class monster.

"So they are the worst bunch of scum." I said as I looked at where they had walked off.

"They are strong, and not to be messed with. For now let's lay low and wait until they focus on someone else and then we can start up again." Gin said as he shook his head.

"No way!" Kurumu shouted, not liking the idea. "We worked so hard on these!" The succubus then stormed off while the others all traded looks. I shrugged as Tsukune followed her to make sure that she wouldn't get into any trouble while the rest of us helped pack up the booth.

Later

Soon the we were back in the club room, and I was discussing the School Protection Committee with Gin, trying to find out what he knew about them, their numbers and general abilities. "Are you planning on picking a fight?" Gin asked with a glair.

"Odds are that Kuyou will. When we had that stare down, we were already having a battle of wills and he realized that I wouldn't break easily." I said, making him sigh.

"So you think he may go after one of us to get to you and make you start the direct fight?" Moka asked as she sat on the desk.

"Possibly. I confronted him, showed backbone against him. He'll want to take me down himself to prove that he is top dog. And when he does, I'll show him the right path to go down." I said, making a fist as I was looking forward to this fight.

"Or you'll die. Seriously, Kuyou is not one to cross lightly, he'll crush you if he so much as thinks you're a threat." He said, with me nodding as he was right, but I wouldn't go down easily.

"Let him try. If you will excuse me, I have someone I need to talk to." I said as I soon excused myself.

Later

I stopped and waited as two students in the School Protection Committee uniform approached me. "What do you want?" I asked with a smirk.

"Kuyou told us to come make you an offer to survive the week." The one with glasses stated calmly.

"And that would be?" I asked as I placed my hands in my pockets.

"You join us and work for Kuyou, or we kill you right now for mouthing off." The taller man replied with a grin.

"You make a tempting offer. And I haven't heard a "Join or Die" speech yet. But my answer is no." I replied as I was ready for them. The two simply smirked as they shifted, the man with glasses becoming a giant snake and the other turning into a giant and both trying to kill me. I was faster then both of them though. I charged forward, making an X out of my arms. "Minnesota SMASH!" I said, making a chopping motion with both hands as I appeared behind them, taking them both out in one move. "You two are too slow to compete with me." I stated as he looked at the giant.

"Doesn't matter!" He laughed before he passed out.

Turning, I started to leave when I felt Moka's power once more. Running off in that direction, I found Moka kicking a giant spider lady to the side, taking her out. "You'll die now you little bitch." She said as she slowly got up.

"Sorry I'm late, I was held up my self!" I said as I walked over, shocking the spider lady. Kurumu was shocked to see me here, where I stepped beside Moka and crossed my arms, looking at the spider lady. "Now then, we're going to let you live." I began, seeing a faint frown from Moka. "But you're going to be delivering a message for me. You tell your boss that if he tries this again, I will personally face him my self. Tell him that if he wants a fight, come and get it, otherwise leave me and the school alone. They are all under my protection now!" I said, smiling as I spoke up against her. Once I was finished I nodded for her to leave and watched her run as fast as he legs could carry her.

"Dakota, that was..." Kurumu began as she saw me look at her.

"Inspiring?" I asked, where I was trying to be inspiring.

"COOL!" Kurumu exclaimed as she jumped up with stars in her eyes. "Moka taking her down with one hit, and then you coming out of nowhere not long after and giving her that message!" She said as she squealed in delight.

"I wouldn't take it that far." I said as I chuckled a bit as looked at Moka. "Now come on, let's get back to club room and let them know that I just declared war on the biggest problem this school has."

Later

"I thought I told you not to mess with the School Protection committee!" He shouted in anger. "This could wind up with them bringing their full might down upon us!"

"I doubt it." I replied with a shrug. "If anything, they will likely come for either Moka or me." I said, with Moka tearing up as she was now a target.

"That is not a good thing." Gin said as he sighed. "Look, just go back to your dorms and keep a low profile. If nothing else, we can hope that something else happens to lure them away from us."

The next day

"Today is going to be interesting." I said as I walked with Tsukune and Moka on our way to class, but we were stopped by easily a dozen members of the Public Safety Committee.

"Dakota. You are under arrest for being an enemy of the school. We have permission to use lethal force if you resist." One stated calmly, making me grin. "Tsukune Aono. We also have reason to believe that you are in fact a human, for that, you are also under arrest." He said as he grinned. "If you manage to best us or escape we have permission to hunt down all of your friends here at the school and kill every last one of them." He added, with me tensing up as my smirk finally dropped.

"Fine." I said with a frown. "Go ahead and take me to your headquarters." The group only smirked as they walked, leading both of us to the edge of the school grounds.

Later

"Ah, he didn't give you any trouble now did he?" He asked with a smirk as we walked up to him, Tsukune having been taken somewhere else.

"No. Once we explained what would happen to him if he resisted, and what would happen to his friends, he was very quiet." The leader of the group said with a smirk as Kuyou nodded.

"Good. Now keep an eye on them and make sure that they don't do anything to upset the peace of the school." Kuyou replied as he motioned for me to follow him. I did and walked behind the man as he led me to a torture chamber where he stopped. I walked around the edge of the room, examining the various implements.

"Not bad, still, you should make some death traps, like from Saw or something." I remarked with a smirk.

"Is that so?" Kuyou asked with a grin. "And what makes you think that I would listen to anything that you have to say? Transform and let's get this fight underway, you wanted this after all." Kuyou replied with a grin. Kuyou roared as he created a fire ball and tried to incinerate me with it, but I stepped around the attack and charged at him.

"If this is the best that you guys have, then I'm disappointed in you!" I said as I punched a fireball out of existence.

"DIE!" Kuyou roared as he created an even larger fire ball and threw it at me, where I started taking him serious. Rolling towards the fire throwing maniac, I dodged the direct hit and then got hit by the concussion, sending me flying to the side. "You filthy bastard! I'll burn you to death!" Kuyou roared as I jumped up.

"You're just upset that I showed you up. You use your power to control others thought fear and intimidation, when you should use your power to protect the people!" I said, punching another fireball out of existence.

Kuyou roared in anger, finally shifting into his true form. He stood on all fours revealing that he was in fact a yoko. His four tails flailing as he prepared several fireballs on his tails and sent them flying towards me, where I punched directly upwards, creating an air wall that protected me and put a hole in the ceiling above me, and even let the light enter the cave that we were in.

"See? This is the difference between the both of us!" I said as Kuyou growled.

"You're a weakling compared to me!" He yelled in anger.

"Weak? I am far from weak. There are many forms of strength, I just happen to draw my strength from the hopes of the people!" I said with a smile as Kuyou getting even angrier.

"Then so be it!" Kuyou screamed as he transformed again, becoming a more humanoid version of his yoko form. "This is the Yoko Battle Form! I intend to use this to finish you off once and for all!"

"Is that so?" I said as I grinned. "You don't have the strength or heat to do so!" Kuyou simply sent a giant of fire at me, where I then punched the fire once more, where it vanished like the others. Kuyou blinked in shock at this as he saw this feat and tried to comprehend what had just happened. "Shocked?" I asked as I walked closer to Kuyou.

"How..." Kuyou gasped as he backed away. I grinned more as I got closer to him. "WHAT ARE YOU?!" Kuyou shouted as he tried to punch me with a flame covered fist. I only smirked as I caught the fist and held it with bone crushing force. Bringing my hand back, I held it up as I made a fist, where the yoko was trying to pull his arm away as he knew where this was going.

"I'm the hopes and dreams of the people. I am the one who will bring peace between the humans and monsters. I am Dakota, and I am the bringer of peace!" I replied as threw a punch at him. "South Dakota... SMMAAASH!?" I yelled as I punched him in the face, where he went through multiple walls, and from the looks of it, survived during the process.

"Dakota!" Moka shouted as she, Kurumu, Yukari, Gin and Tsukune ran in, with me looking over at them and grinning at my victory.

"My god." Gin whistled as he saw the destruction and the others stared at him.

We watched as Tsukune was stabbed in the chest with a fire lance, shocking all of us as we didn't expect it. "Damn... I missed!" I heard, with me turning to face the Yoko.

"Bastard!" I said, glaring at him as he slowly walked back into the room, his face slowly healing from my punch. Feeling Moka's power rise, I looked over my shoulder as she looked in my direction, with me looking back at the Yoko as he had fucked up. "Take care of Tsukune, he deserves what's coming to him!" I said, removing my tie by ripping it off. "This bastard is going to hell!" I said as I charged forward and grabbed him by his throat and jumped out of the cave.

He tried speaking, even burning my arm to get free, but I wasn't having it. Landing in the woods, I slammed him into the ground, creating a large crater in his place. Letting him go, I brought my foot up and stomped on his chest multiple times, making the creator even bigger with each stomp. Kicking him up, I grabbed his leg and started spinning around as fast as I could.

"You're a fire monster, so water would be your greatest weakness!" I said, tossing him into the distance. "Let's put you out!" I yelled as I jumped at him, leaching him in mid air, with his eyes widening as I had my fist pulled back. "ALABAMA... SMMMMMAAAAAAASH!?" I yelled as I punched him in the chest, where he went straight into the sea of red water. "I'M NOT DONE YET!?" I yelled once I landed, where I started punching the air in front of me, sending heavy winds at the water, hoping that I had gotten him.

"Dakota, you've won!" Yukari stated as I turned and looked at her, with me seeing everyone was here, including Tsukune and an awakened Moka. Looking back at the sea, I couldn't tell how long I was here, just that in my anger I had put everything on defeating him for what he did. "How long have I been here?" I asked as I looked back at them.

"A while, you were even causing earthquakes earlier." Gin stated bluntly.

"Are you ok?" Moka asked, where I smiled and nodded.

"I'm fine. If he's not dead, he is terrified of me now." I said with a sigh as I looked back out at the water. "Tsukune, are you alright?" I asked as I looked back at him and started making my way over to him, where Moka held onto him, making me stop at her reaction.

"Tsukune still needs to recover, he will be a bit blood lusted for a bit." She said, with me nodding as I didn't understand what she did.

"She gave him some of her blood, he's no longer human." Kurumu said, not sounding happy about it.

"I see, take care of him for now, I'm going back to help the ones where were imprisoned!" I said, leaving them to go help out the others.

A few days later

Selling newspapers, with the main article about how the School Protection Committee had been disbanded and that starting next semester there would be a new protection club starting, I handed out another paper to another student, who smiled and walked away. This was met with varying results, but I was certain that this would be for the best, but I was going to watch and make sure that nothing like the last School Protection Committee started.
