"Yeah thanks for the commentary Leo. It's not at all distracting", Illwern said from the driver seat.
"Percy and Tory will take care of the gunners. Hiccup get me the shortest route to checkpoint base", Illwern said.
"On it"
For Percy the next hour was a blur. The air reeked like gunpowder from the blasts and continuous rounds from the guns. They were going at a hundred miles but still the smell retained. The only one who had guns was Tory as she was the weapon's specialist. Soon enough they left the monsters and mortals in dust and made their way to base.
"Let's pick up the pace people." Percy said on the intercom.
"On three?", the other biker girl asked. The RV started going at a hundred and ten miles which was insane.
"How is this possible. RV don't do a hundred and ten!", Hephaestus chocked. He rarely made comments about what machines could not so and this was well over his pride.
"This one does. This one here might have made a few tweaks to the functioning of engines", Minden said pointing towards Hiccup.
Percy just gave a signal with three fingers kind of like a salute. He tapped his temple twice and pointed forward and in the next three seconds the bikes roared to life and they disappeared over the horizon. It felt good to finally feel the wind against his face and the adrenaline roaring in his veins. He momentarily forgot the heavy cold feeling in his chest.
The worry gone, he let loose the throttle and just enjoyed the moment eventually popping a wheelie or two.
"That has to be seriously illegal", Hestia said - voice dripping with concern.
"Don't worry Tory is a professional motorbike driver. Not sure about Percy though but who cares?", Minden said calmly.
Just then a voice said-"You do realize that the intercom is live and the fact that I heard what you just said, right?"
"Is it really? My bad" Minden said sheepishly.
Then Percy spoke a language that the Olympians did not understand.. The reply was equally confusing.
Then Minden spoke,"Wrong Channel LOVE BIRDS"? and the intercom went silent.
"What language was that?", Piper asked.
"Norse", Illwern replied
"Did you just call them love birds?", Annabeth asked but Illwern did not bat an eye.
"Can you tune into their channel?", Aphrodite asked with a smile.
"I would have but they use a special device that only they both can use. Its hard to even eavesdrop as our hacker is Tory." explained Illwern pointing toward the biker girl.
"Tory huh?"
The rest of the drive was silent except from Tory doing stunts from standing on the bike to them holding hands.
"We are here", Percy said over the intercom.
"Where are we and why are we here?", Jason asked Percy.
"We are here is pick up gear that you lost when all of you were captured. Astrid and Hiccup here got them for you."
"And to answer your first question - We are in the middle of nowhere on our farmhouse. We will explain our further plans on the jet." Tory explained
"Can we exchange air pods, please."
"Sure. Don't you want to change?", Percy asked handing her the white container.
"Yeah, Thanks"
"Well she looks like a nice girl", Jason said after Tory was gone.
"What a brilliant Kevin Hart reference from Jumanji. Who are you Milo Walker?", Percy said rolling his eyes.
"Don't blame me, It is all Piper and Leo."
Why did you exchange air-pods anyway. They are all the same.
"These were a gift from Apollo. He said they can act like an intercom and you can play music by just thinking about the album. Plus it never runs out of battery. We usually use one each but music sounds good with both."
The only people that came out were Jason and the Dragon riders. After about 5 min Troy came back ready, wearing a black sleeveless ribbon top and combat pants and boots.
"Aren't you going to freeze to death?", Jason asked concerned.
"Not really, Cold is my strength".
"You can tell Athena that we are going to the airport which is like 15 mins from here."
"Are we ready?". Tory asked.
"No, Astrid and Minden are still getting ready", Hiccup answered. You will have to wait. You know what Minden is like..."
"Yeah, more that I bargained for".
They then came in the RV. They just stood there.
"Put some music, God you are old fashioned", Percy said sarcastically.
"As a 400 year old immortal prince of Elves, I wish to be called rustic", Illwern commented. "Plus there is no good music these days..."
"Rich and blind", Percy said
"Friends", Tory said
"Astronaut in the ocean", Hiccup said.
"P2", Astrid said.
"Yeah dad, looks like they made their point", Minden laughed.
"Can i come with you?", Estelle said
"Sorry sweety but...", Percy started.
Tory immediately said,"She can go with me".
"Thanks"
"Always", Tory said before leaning in and kissing him quickly.
This caused the everyone to laugh out loud and Percy turned red.
"Did we miss something?". Astrid said from behind.
"Not really", Tory said quickly before putting the air pods back to cut short the conversation. She took the seat beside Hestia.
"Aight, everyone settle down." Illwern said like a grandpa bus driver.
"What did I tell you about being old", Percy muttered.
"Can i have your phone?", Aphrodite asked suspiciously.
"Sure", Percy shrugged.
Aphrodite scrolled through the phone while Hestia made small talk with Tory. Otherwise it was silent. Hestia noticed that Tory was extremely beautiful. She had a well tanned body, golden-brown hair and bright white eyes. She talked almost like Percy.
"We might have to wait for tomorrow morning before we leave", Astrid said. "I was thinking route..."
"My room. Half an hour, all six of us", Percy cut in before leaving.
"Well that went well", Aphrodite commented quietly.
