All that was gathered there, Vampires and Wicca really couldn't believe what they had watched; the Wicca had come merely because they were had friendships with those that were allies with Elijah, and that was the only reason. They had been informed that a ritual would be performed to speak with the dead. Jonas and Luka were surprised when they reached the top of the mountain and heard the chanting, the sway of magic had been so powerful that it hadn't even been a question if they would join in. they were not surprised when the others did as well. The call to commune with Gaia had been strong, more potent than any Wicca had felt for millennia. In his own study and practice of magic, Jonas had never achieved such a physical release nor such a powerful connection to magic before. In all the older grimoires, he'd read that such things had been practiced and achieved in the ancient days. "What was that dad? What just happened?" Luka asked as they trekked down the mountain back to their car. Elijah had requested Jonas and Luka to check in at the closest motel and informed them that the original vampire would explain everything the next day. "I... I'm not sure, son. But it seemed awfully familiar to me; I studied ancient religions in college. This seemed very familiar and close to what the ancient Greeks and Romans did as they worshiped the Earth goddess and the other gods." Luka looked at his father wildly, they were magical, yes, and they didn't subscribe to any religion, really. But worshiping the ancient gods, was that what they were doing? He wondered, and then the next question that popped into his head was Why?
Dr. Martin proceeded to explain to his son that when he had been in college, there had been classes available that taught about ancient cultures. And being young and Wiccan, 19 yr. old Jonas martin had jumped on the chance to study his Magical Heritage, where magic came from, how the worship of the ancients had been essential to the earth and to magic. Jonas tried to convey to Luka how the world had been more beautiful, peaceful, and orderly back then. That worshiping the Gaia, the earth, and the gods. Her children had been circularly beneficial for everyone; they gave back what they took by sacrificing animals, blood, and precious possessions. That was what sacrifice meant. Jonas also explained that as humans grew, learned, and expanded upon the earth. The beauty, peace, and worship of the land and gods had rapidly declined primarily when the Romans conquered the known world. Romans were about expansion, the strength of their armies, and the unification of their nation. "The worship of their gods came second," Jonas told his son that "the decline in magic and the earth's prosperity declined again as people began to forget the gods and worshiped only the one and only Christian god. I have never in my life felt more powerful and connected to the earth than I have this night, son, not with all my study and knowledge of magic have I achieved what I imagine the ancients felt. This is the first time that I have seen and felt magic for what it is and what it is supposed to be."
Jonas reverently said; his tone was passionate and filled with wonder. He was in awe of what had happened, what he, Luka, and the others had participated in. "But what does it mean, dad? Which gods were we worshiping?" Luka asked. He, too, had never felt the magic this powerful. Luka was a bit embarrassed that everyone magical had orgasmed all over the place. He cringed at the thought of losing himself like that when he had been surrounded by strangers and vampires. He hadn't cared at the time; the call to the magic was just too powerful to resist. But now, the high had left him. he was now walking down the mountain with his father. The man that had been naked beside him, the man who had orgasmed and experienced euphoria as he had. Luka was suitably mortified at the memory. Jonas looked over at his son, and even in the dark, with the trees surrounding them and only the light of a flashlight to guide them, he could see his son's mortification and what he experienced.
Jonas Martin began to explain the differences between the Roman and Greek gods; Luka had to admit it sounded fascinating. "The Greek gods had been worshiped 700 years before the Romans were even a community," Jonas began explaining excitedly. He loved and respected anything he had learned about magic. That was why he had gathered so many of other families' grimoires. Jonas believed that all that was magical were connected. And it was his duty to see the knowledge preserved. "Simply put, the nature of the gods between the two cultures was the Biggest difference. In the Greek culture, the gods were the embodiment of human personality traits such as love, honor, hatred, and dignity. That nature determined what they became the god/goddess of. Because they were the offspring of the primordial gods, such as day, night, earth, and water, etc. It makes sense that their character trait and the focus of worship were based on that nature. The Roman character and personality of the gods were more found in objects that inspired belief; this feeling was aroused, for example, by the springs and woods, objects of gratitude in the torrid summer, or by stones that were believed to reach the earth supernaturally. This was why the Romans believed that certain places were best for burial; boundary stones, buildings in specific locations were more sacred. As the flame of belief moved west, the aspects of the gods changed with it; they were trying to maintain their ability to be worshiped as new cultures arose, their character and personality changed with it." Jonas explained. Luka's mind was filled with tidbits of memories, information that he'd learned in history classes over the years. He remembered reading about the Greek myths. The minotaur in the maze, Hercules and Nemean Lion, Circe punishing the wicked by turning them into wolves, lions, and swine. It was a lot to take in, to participate in a ritual that hadn't been performed in 3,500 years. It was no wonder the magic had pulled at them and had the reaction they did.
Luka also thought about the girl he'd seen, Elijah's new witch. She was a slip of a girl, maybe around his age; she had been beautiful. He remembered the girl was ghostly looking with her dark black eyes, pale skin, and black hair, to which the fire highlighted the red color that he'd seen in it. She looked like someone from a ghost story; her voice had been haunting. He could hear the memory of it in his mind as it raised and lowered itself in pitch according to magics' direction. Luka knew that she was a foreign-born witch, he had heard her French accent, and it was different from the Canadian French or what was spoken in the French Quarter in New Orleans that he had been familiar with. He had been so shocked when the girl Sacrificed two humans on an altar of stone it had been something to see and witness that was for sure.
Rose had the pleasure to assist Severus in Vamping down to the car. He had been insistently stubborn that she did not place him on her back as a child receiving a piggyback ride. Instead, the newly resurrected wizard cast a featherlight charm on himself, and she was able to whoosh him away. Damon, on the other hand, had reluctantly taken Shelia with him. "You drop me, Vampire, and I will burst the blood vessels in your brain till you regret even being born." The woman had threatened. It had caused Slater, Henrik, and Elijah to chuckle under their breaths; Sophie was so tired by that point she had to be held in Elijah's arms. Before she lost consciousness, Sophie handed Henrik off to Slater to take down the mountain.
Once they were all at the car, Severus took it upon himself to cast an extension charm inside the vehicle. The Vampires watched in amazement as the inside expanded so that they might all have a place to sit. It was no surprise that Severus and Shelia started a conversation. She mentioned that she was an Occult professor at Whitmore college; Severus had explained that before his death and resurrection, he had been a potions professor and defense against the Dark arts, mastery. The conversation Drew Elijah and Slater, who were both well-educated and self-proclaimed bibliophiles. (Lovers of books) Damon and Rose, who were the least educated of the group, didn't intrude any opinions on their conversation. They did, however, try to teach Henrik all about the new world. Rose showed him her phone and gave him a crash course in how to use it; she also wanted to teach him how to use the appropriate language that didn't sound Ye Old. while Damon added what he could about the modern era, such as girls, music, cars. He said a lot about technology, what it was and what function it had. An hour into the drive. Henrik, from where he was sitting next to a passed-out Sophie Margaux Mikelson. His brother introduced his daughter to him once again when they were first seated next to each other. "Brother, at which hour shall we joineth our family, wherefore art they not with us?" asked when there was a lull in the conversation between Him and his three knowledgeable companions. Elijah sighed. He wanted to go to Niklaus as soon as possible, but he looked over at Sophie. She was sleeping peacefully; she had asleep as soon as they had started driving. His Sophie had expanded quite a bit of magic and blood; having her first orgasm didn't do her any good either; it had taken quite a bit from her energy. Elijah couldn't believe that she had cut off her fingers to give his brother a new Body; he was also very humbled and grateful for it as well. Henrik looked exactly like he had the last time he saw his brother alive, and to do that two more times was inspiring because it showed what Sophie would give for the cause. The elder vampire knew she wanted her quest to be over as soon as possible, but as they say, Rome wasn't built in a day. "We will talk tomorrow, Brother. Sophie needs to rest and rebuild her strength. We will need to get you some clothes, a haircut, and continue to catch you up on the modern era...,"
Severus interrupted him. "If I may interrupt Mr. Mikelson, I may be able to help him with that. As a master in Legilimency, which means that I can read minds and influence them. Also, add to them. This works best if I take the memories you wish to share with your brother, View them. Then during a session, I will enter his mind and place them within his Hippocampus. They will be as if they were already his own." Elijah and the rest of the Vampires within the vehicle looked at this man, Severus Snape. As if he just told them brain surgery was just a collection of people poking at the head with their fingers. Severus seemed to know what he was doing. Obviously, the wizard was brilliant; He had done something in his previous life to earn a new beginning from Sophie. She trusted him right off, whether that was because of Her goddess's assurance that he deserved it or what he didn't know, but She was the champion, and he had vowed to help her and ease her burden. So Elijah, too, would trust the man tentatively until he felt assured. He held out his hand and spoke. "Please Call me Elijah; I would appreciate any and all you could do to assist my brother in this transition." Severus inclined his head in the usual Severus Snape way, then replied in his highly Sophisticated tone, "You may call me Severus." Elijah inclined his head then asked in a tone that you could hear the curiosity simmering just beneath the surface. "Tell me, Severus, how are you connected to all of this, to Holland Potter? What engenders Sophies trust in you?" Severus waved his hand, casting a muffliato charm over Sophie because he would be speaking of her as she was previously known as Holland Potter-Black, and she was not allowed to know. And he didn't want the other vampires hearing either. Severus didn't trust them not to Blab and inform Sophie of her previous life's status. He seemed impulsive to know what was good or not good to do or say this Damon character. Severus sat back and folded his arms and Sighed.
"I don't know how much Lady Hekate has informed you about the situation with the war before Holland Potters birth or what she has told you of the girl's life after she first defeated Voldemort." Severus proceeded to say. He was amazed that he could now speak of it; he took a moment to look at his left forearm; it was now clean and unmarked. "But I will start off with telling you of the girl's mother, Lilly Evens. She was my best friend when we were both eight years old till, we were fifteen years old when out of the humiliation from my nemesis, I said horrible things in my vexation at my enemies. To impress those around him and keep me in the knowledge of where my place was, James Potter used one of my own spells against me. The spell I had invented caused a person to be hung upside down and dangle in the air. Because it was used to subdue and humiliate, I ended up dropping my wand, so I was unable to apply the counter charm, and my robes ended up over my head, exposing me to everyone around. Lilly came to my aid, which only caused my humiliation maximum penetration; I called her a Mud-blood, a bad name to those who come from non-magical blood. She spurned me after that." He could see the understanding in Elijahs eyes; there wasn't a time in their existence as vampires that they had not been feared because of what they were, feared because of what they believed in. Abominations they had been called, Elijah understood very clearly what Severus was explaining, and he felt compassion for the magically dark man. Severus continued his tale breaking Elijah out of his heavy thoughts. "Every attempt I made to reconcile with her was met with coldness and anger, which pushed me to garner friendships in other places. I became susceptible to the sweet whispers and promises of acceptance elsewhere, the promises of gaining training and masterships to help secure a new world and my place in it. But the cost of all my dreams being fulfilled became a price I did not want to pay. I found out after tragedy struck me the weight of the price was too much to bear. Still, I had been taken in servitude; my life was bound to my master; The only thing I could do was turn traitor and spy..." Severus trailed off, thinking of how conflicted his life had been when he was alive in the past. He was determined that the Dark Lord suffer and pay for killing his once friend and conflicted because he still believed in their cause as much as he had ever. "Though I still believed in mostly what the cause was about," Severus had given up his convictions because of the guilt Snape shouldered for being partially responsible for Lilly's death. His thoughts were disturbed by the hand that laid atop his own; when he looked at the owner of that hand, he found it was Sophie's father. He gave a nod of thanks and continued the tale. "Voldemort, in the beginning, wanted to hide us from the non-magical, keeping the comings and goings to the Muggle world to the strictest minimum. Because as Hekate has told you, and you undoubtedly found out with Sophie. Our kind doesn't work well with a lot of the modern conveniences electrically speaking. With our culture and traditions, we don't blend very well either; we were to eventually be found out and persecuted for what we are. and I believe it would have worked if not for the Horcruxes he made that eventually drove him insane."
Severus continued to tell Elijah uncensored truth about how he was brought to Voldemort's side taught by him and given sponsorship to gain his potions mastery and defense mastery with a side Note in Spell creation. He told how his hatred for the non-magical humans and Light Wizards grew because of the lack of help from his head of house and headmaster. Elijah didn't understand the hatred until Severus informed him of what had been going on in his home. He could sympathize it had been the same for Nicklaus with their father and mother. Both this wizard and his brother were so much alike; it made him feel inordinately sad and sparked something else within him that he wasn't going to identify right now. The story culminated; finally. Severus's hatred reached its Pinnacle when Sirius Black, James Potters Brother in all but blood, attempted his murder or, at the very least, his transformation to a Werewolf. When Severus was led to Remus Lupin, a transformed werewolf locked under the Whomping Willow during the shifts. The headmasters thinking was the students would be safe if they didn't know there was anything dangerous hidden there. Dumbledore didn't consider the students might have malicious intent because of their hatred of anything or anyone, Slytherin. Of course, being who they were as Gryffindor students, they got away with it. Severus explained to Elijah that he went onto his service of the Dark Lords cause after graduation. The others went into the Service of the Ministry as Auror's and members of the Order of the Phoenix, a vigilante group that Dumbledore created to fight against Voldemort.
"You have to understand what was going on between the Light and Dark factions; no one trusted anybody else; everyone was turning on each other. I was tasked along with another colleague to get close to Dumbledore. We had done so by trying to gain employment at the school. I applied for potions professor, and the other for the Muggle studies position. Quirinus Quirrell and I had gone to a bar for the employment interview; while I was there, another potential Teacher was being interviewed for the Divination position by a woman named Sybil Trelawney. She just happened to Speak a prophecy while I was waiting at the door; I had only heard the first part of it when I was escorted to a room to await my turn." Severus paused to swallow past the guilt that built up in his throat. Severus, Lilly, and James had amended their actions toward each other while existing on the other side of the veil of the living. He still felt the horror of what his actions had done; that had been why his Zeal to keep Holland their daughter safe was so exuberant, it was why even though Sophie was someone different and not the girl he had once known, he still wanted to help the person she was now. Severus knew that Sophie had no knowledge of who and what she had been in the past future. She had been unmade as Holland Potter and reformed as Sophie Margaux Mikelson, but he saw a girl in need of help, and he would provide that. "Still, to my shame after the interview, I informed my master of what I had learned. It took a year, but The Dark Lord decided that the child of the prophecy must be the one that was most like him. Out of the two families who had escaped him thrice. The Potters, whom Lilly had become James's wife half a year earlier and was currently three months pregnant, and the Longbottom's were both Auror's and both pureblood from well-respected bloodlines. He chose to go after Lilly and her family because Holland was a Half-blood like he was I went to Dumbledore and Vowed to Spy for him and vowed that I would give my life to protect Lilly's child if he would but keep her safe. They went under the Fidelius Charm; the charm is designed to hide an object person or place so completely that if you were to stand next to that object, person, or place, you would not know it unless the secret keeper tells the secret. They had a year and fifteen months of safety, but they trusted the wrong person to keep their location a secret. Peter Pettigrew was their friend; it didn't matter to the man because he was also a spy for the Dark Lord. He wasted no time in going to the Dark Lord and giving him what Voldemort wanted. So on Halloween 1990, Voldemort Came and killed James first; Lilly took her daughter, Holland, and enclosed themselves in the nursery. When The Dark Lord Blasted the door open, he demanded Lilly to move three times, but she refused each time, he eventually killed her. When he turned his wand on Holland of my past, the curse rebounded and gave the girl a Scar."
Elijah nodded and said, "I Recognized the Sowilo Rune from the vision that Lady Hekate had shown me." Severus told Elijah that when you sacrificed your life for a loved one, the magic of that sacrifice left a mark not only on Holland's forehead but inside of her blood as well. "It's an ancient charm one that was lost to the obscurity of time. It was a life-for-life exchange." Severus told Elijah how he sequestered himself to a lonely and empty life because he had lost his best friend now. By the time Holland came to school, he was nothing more than an embittered hollow man full of hate and acidity, bound to serve two masters and give his life to keep Holland safe, which she never made it an easy job for him to accomplish. "It wasn't completely her fault though Dumbledore's plans and machinations didn't help either," Elijah stated in Hollands's defense. Sophie may not be that girl anymore, but she had been. Elijah didn't like that Severus was putting any of the blame on the girl. Nothing in her previous life had been in her control. Severus agreed with Elijah's defense of the girl Sophie had been, but he also had a perspective that the vampire did not. Severus explained that his actions were double-edged as a servant and spy for Voldemort and Dumbledore. He had two parts to play; it didn't help that he only saw her father's cockiness and arrogance as a servant of the Dark Lord. It helped to be blind to her mother's kindness and the eye color they shared so that Severus could play the part of an embittered ex-death-eater. He didn't want to see how the pressure of Holland being the one that lived after her parents had been murdered made her so fearful that she wouldn't live up to the expectations; he had seen her overcompensate by doing everything by herself. Plus, the way her relatives had raised her made it impossible to believe she could do well in anything.
"Yes, I did notice that the Holland of the past had a penchant for not delegating tasks or asking for things that she needs. Sophie has no such trouble now, though, since she has been remade with no memory of being Holland, she can't do things for herself. Everything so far has been as if teaching it to a child for the first time. It has been thrilling and exasperating at the exact moment. To relish the wonder, help her through the confusion of first-time experiences, and realize these things are known and done every day for girls her age. Severus, I don't know if I could describe what it was like to teach a teenager how to bathe correctly or telling her how her body works. It is an incredible and disheartening experience because I know why it must be this way. To give her a chance to have a clean slate from every preconceived opinion of the past, she must return balance and can't have ideas on Light and Dark that others do. Don't get me wrong, I am honored to be her teacher and father, but as I take on these roles, I do worry for her immensely; Sophie is going to have to learn and experience so much of what it means to be human. She'll eventually fall in love, but she'll have to have her heartbroken to experience the differences. The only thing she won't have to learn is magic; it is genetic Hekate placed the knowledge of magic within her very DNA." Elijah tried to explain his frustration and awe as a new parent, and Elijah truly felt honored and blessed, but he was only beginning to realize the amount of work ahead of him.
Severus inclined his head in acknowledgment, thinking how Holland, the girl Sophie used to be, used those around her to do the work and the thinking, Hermione Granger was the brains of the operation most often, Ron was the Action man. Holland just guided the flow between the three of them. Pointing them in a direction, it wasn't until she was forced to act with the Sorcerer's stone. That spurned Holland Potter into action by battling with Quirrell and eventually killing him. The Basilisk in the second year; she had stayed out of everything until the school was rumored to close, encouraging the girl to find the problem and fix it, even then Ron was with her. It wasn't until Holland was cut off from Ron in the cave in under the school that Holland had to go on alone. In Holland's fourth year, the tasks had all been figured out for her. It was only till the champions were competing in those tasks that she took charge. Holland Potter, the girl Sophie Mikelson had been, really didn't want the spotlight; she wanted to be mundane and fall in and disappear with the crowd.
"I admit I am happy that she has a new life; hers was not one I would have wanted to live either. Sophie is formidable, but she must learn that leadership doesn't always mean that you are in the spotlight for everything. As her teacher Elijah, you must help her learn to Delegate tasks to trusted people. Under vows, of course, will help, Holland potter was an abused and abandoned child, and all an abandoned child wants is a family that stays. Sophie is not an abandoned child; she has and will know none of what that means. You are her family, Elijah, and she has a childlike mindset that engenders trust in what you are doing; no matter how big or small, she will trust that it is good. The trust of an innocent child is a precious thing. She is Sophie Margaux Mikelson, not Holland Potter. Potter was constantly told that she was a freak and an abomination for using magic and her inability to control it. Even after 2 years of training, Holland's accidental magic caused her aunt to blow up like a balloon which is an extremely advanced charm. Sophie will not have that problem, she is learned in all forms of wizarding magic, but she will need help with the Wiccan community." Elijah acknowledged that and said that Hekate had promised that the warrior would teach her all she needed; by the gods, he was grateful for Kol's travels with witches and his vast knowledge of their covens and traditions. Finally, when they got to the Hotel, Elijah carried Sophie to the front desk; he then handed her off to Severus while he checked them in. Elijah compelled Damon to go back to mystic falls and catch up with what was happening there, telling him to inform the others that Rose had run off in fright after what had happened at the Café. Damon acknowledged the command and left. Since Damon was under a vow and compulsion, he had no choice but to obey. They were very clever with their words; there was absolutely no wiggle room which he grumbled about.
Severus and Elijah made it to the rooms; Severus was given a choice to share with Slater while Rose shared with Shelia, and Elijah and Henrik shared with Sophie. They all agreed and paired off; Elijah laid her down on one of the queen beds while Henrik laid on the other side of the same bed. He felt no discomfort with the arrangement because he had been used to sharing bed space with his siblings before death. Henrik laid down and closed his eyes to get to sleep. Elijah came over; he took a seat near his brother. He ran his hand through the boy's hair and began the Norwegian Lullaby that he used to tell all his younger siblings.
"The sky is dark, and the hills are white as the storm-king speeds from the north tonight, and this is the song the storm-king sings, as over the world his cloak he flings: Sleep, sleep, little one, sleep; He rustles his wings and gruffly sings: Sleep, little one, sleep.
On yonder mountainside a vine. Clings at the foot of a mother pine; The tree bends over the trembling thing, and only the vine can hear her sing: Sleep, sleep, little one, sleep; What shall you fear when I am here? Sleep, little one, sleep.
The king may sing in his bitter flight, The tree may croon to the vine tonight, But the little snowflake at my breast, Like'th the song I sing the best, - Sleep, sleep, little one, sleep; Weary thou art, next to my heart. Sleep, little one, sleep."
(Video can be seen on YouTube under the title storm kings lullaby played by Tobey Jensen.)
Henrik sighed in content, it had been more than a thousand years since he last slept, and now that he was mortal again, he has been bound to the rules of Mortality. With the need to eat, to sleep. He could not hunt in this Modern age; Henrik had been on the cusp of manhood when he died. What would he do now? Of course, Henrik wanted to be with his family again, but the youngest Mikelson did not want to burden his brother; Elijah had his daughter care for. Sophie was unique; he knew that. Being on the other side didn't mean Henrik was unaware of things as they passed; the boy knew that she was a child of magic and that she had a quest to complete, so what was Henrik able to do here? And he was afraid. "Brother, I know'th not what to do'th in this time'th and lodging what is t I should'st doth?" Elijah looked at his brother; he was so lost and lonely; his little brother had been alone for a thousand years. Elijah thought about what to say to his brother; it was confirmed that Henrik was used to hunting and gathering food for the winter months. As his people had done for generations. But he no longer in the past. Henrik was now in the modern era with modern conveniences; he was just like Sophie; all this was entirely new for the both of them. "Henrik, I remember you being a curious child always wanting to have fun; your job is to discover this time and this modern world and what it holds, help Sophie to learn and discover it as well. She has not had the opportunity to discover what life offers her; she is a newborn. Like you, Sophie doesn't have any knowledge or experience of this time and place. Will you help her discover the joy in life as you discover it? Can you do that?" Henrik nodded enthusiastically. He could do that carried little responsibility; Henrik would enjoy introducing his niece to the things he discovered. Henrik then drifted off to sleep quickly after that. Elijah readied himself, then he laid in the other bed and drifted off to sleep with the dreams of the things that he witnessed yesterday and today in his mind. It was also noteworthy that though Elijah was immortal, his physical needs had increased, his demand for sustenance other than blood was noticed by him, and other bodily functions. He had desired sleep for the first time in a thousand years, not just as a human action to help blend into the populace but also as an actual physical need. Being a living immortal was something to get used to; knowing that Elijah could now father a true child of his own and raise it was amazing and made him wary. Hed never raised a child before, not even marcel, he had instructed the boy, but he'd mostly left the rearing up to Niklaus. But he had Sophie, now a teenager that was a child in everything but magic.
Hotel- North Carolina.
Sophie woke up at 7:30 the following day. She woke up feeling warm and content; she thought the emotion was named. Also, when the teen witch began to wiggle around, Sophie found that there was another body at her back. She stiffened for a minute, wondering who it could be; she could clearly see the signs of the other bed having been slept in. but they were up already, so Sophie didn't know who her bed partner was. Sophie turned over and came nose to nose with Henrik, the child taken too soon from the teacher's family. He made a noise from his nose that was harsh sounding she didn't know what it was; his mouth was agape. She snickered quietly, not wanting to wake him up. He looked so sucré. Sophie moved out of the bed and into the bathroom, where she noticed that her body was sticky with a salty substance, also in between her legs was filmy, and she didn't understand why it was there. She noticed that the metal on her fingers that Lady magic had gifted her was more challenging and less tactile. Sophie didn't have the sense of touch like in her other fingers. So when she washed in what her Papa had said was her private area, she noticed that it was sensitive to the touch of her metal fingers but not in the wrong way. At first, Sophie had to remember to be careful while scrubbing down there, but every time the metal fingers touched that sensitive area, sparks appeared before her eyes. Eventually, she had felt and rubbed it enough that moans were coming out of her mouth. How was this happening Sophie thought she was the one pulling these sounds and feelings from her body; Sophie didn't know she could feel like this. The witch remembered feeling it last evening, but that was because of the magic, wasn't it? Could she do this to herself and get the same feeling? Her metal flesh wasn't as flexible as her fingers were on her other hand; her moans were loud enough that eventually, Elijah knocked on the door. "Sophie, darling, are you alright?" She didn't know that most people would be embarrassed to have their parent and or parents find out they were pleasuring themselves where everyone could hear them; it was called discretion and privacy for a reason. Sophie had no understanding of modesty, so she just blurted out in French. "Ouais Papa je lave ma place privée comme tu las dit, ça me fait voir des étoiles. ça fait du bien."
Elijah stood on the other side of the bathroom door, stalk still his daughter was... was, she was... he couldn't even think what she was doing and thank the gods she was saying it in French, Henrik didn't know French. That meant he didn't realize his niece was masturbating in the bathroom ten feet away from him. not they, as Vikings had been prudes, usually their families were housed in two to three-room huts depending on the wealth the family had. Mothers and fathers frequently fucked when their children were next to them sleeping, but by the gods, his daughter had no propriety at all. He cleared his throat and said, "Hurry! And Finnish bathing, my dear, we can go out to breakfast when you're done; I will be taking Henrik to Severus's room for a bit. I'll get you a change of clothes from the car, don't come out of the bathroom until you are dressed; you need to be clothed before you come out, Sophie, you understand?" Elijah said in a slightly higher and strangled voice; he heard her moan softly again then said, "Quais, Papa." Elijah stepped back from the door and hurried Henrik to get dressed, and they briskly walked out of their room and down the Hall two doors Severus's and Slater's room. When the door opened to reveal a widely awake Severus and a sleepy rumpled slater, he pushed Henrik into the room and motioned for Severus to come out for a moment.
Severus looked over at Slater, eyed Henrik, and said, "Watch the boy, won't you, Mr. Peterson? I won't be but a moment." When Slater waved him away, he stepped out into the hallway, assured that the youngest Mikelson would be well cared for. "What can I do for you, Elijah?" though the vampire had an incredible mask of composure on, he could sense the undercurrent of unease about the man, and it made him wonder what had driven him and Henrik out of their room. Then he thought about why the man would be uneasy, and he remembered that Sophie was also in that same room. Being that she had the human experience of a child, she probably did something outside the bounds of Elijah's moral or accepted code of conduct. When the vampire said nothing at first, he figured he was putting his thoughts in order, or he didn't want to be overheard. "would you like a silencing charm placed around us?" Severus saw Elijah's shoulders slacked in relief, and he realized what he thought had been right, so without further discussion, he cast the charm and waited for the man in front of him to speak. "Severus, when I came back into the room from feeding, I heard Sophie in the shower, which wasn't a concern." He quickly said at Severus's questioning eyes, Severus nodded for Elijah to continue to which he said, "She was., well, she..." He huffed why was this so difficult? He wondered. Usually, he was an excellent orator, but now he couldn't find the words. "Sophie was Masturbating Severus." He said in a tone that belied his composed mask. Severus raised an eyebrow. She had just experienced her first orgasm; it was only natural to explore her body and determine how it worked and what made her feel different things. Kids did all the time, especially at her mental age. "Are you startled at the fact that she took it upon herself to self-enjoy or that she was doing it while others were around?" Elijah just stood looking at the dark-haired, Dark-eyed man for a moment to ponder the question that was posed to him. What did have him all bothered about it? He had remembered all the boys in their family had done similar things around the age of 13, the period they reached manhood, Sophie may be physically older. She had the mentality of a young child, she shouldn't be doing that without a partner, or at least in privacy, but his child was too young to even be doing that sort of investigating, wasn't she? But then he remembered that the Goblin said that Sophie would be the mother of many monsters and creatures so he wouldn't have too long to wait for her to have her first child. "Sophie is mentally younger than most that are her physical age, I know that she must bring back the balance of death and magic; to do so means she will birth the creatures that will foster the growth of mist. I am having trouble separating her mental age from her physical, in situations that occur with her sexuality."
Severus understood what the man meant; he would be in the same position if it were him, but as he was not the teacher, he didn't have the authority over what the girl learned, but that didn't mean he could offer suggestions. "I believe you should sit her down and talk to her about her body as a sexual being; as you said sooner rather than later, she will find the partner that has been destined for her, and they will conceive she should know what kinds of things she could be looking forward to in that regard. Be open and honest with her; you have the advantage that she will take your word as law so you can teach her propriety and that there are times and places for such activities, and she will listen to you. Elijah, you are her teacher. She will learn a lot about her sexual identity from you and the others that have influence in her life but none so much as you." Honestly, everything that Severus had pointed out was correct; his child, Sophie, was an adult with a child's mind. He would have to consider everything that she experienced and learned this was no different, but it wasn't something he relished in doing either but necessary. This was his first chance to really teach her about something that mattered. "Thank you, Severus, you are correct; this will have to be a discussion from father to child." Severus nodded; he did not envy the man this conversation with Sophie, not that he thought it would be a difficult or an unmanageable exchange. But that sex and how to treat one's body and understanding everything that goes with having a physical relationship, sex was a complicated, multifaceted conundrum that encompassed so many belief systems and orientations that it wasn't a conversation you could only have once. Elijah straightened his tie and fiddled with his cufflinks to give him a moment to compose his warring thoughts once done. Elijah asked if it would be all right if Henrik stayed with them for an hour so he could talk with her. Severus said that everything would be fine, that Young Mr. Mikelson would be fine right where he was, and Severus would expect Elijah and Sophie in an hour. Back in the room, after grabbing Sophie a change of clothing, he was sitting on the bed waiting while she got dressed in the bathroom. When she was finally ready, she opened the door and smiled at the sight of her teacher, her Papa. She was so bright, and you could literally see the rejuvenation upon her face, not only from the shower but from the ritual last night. It was as if the magic flowing back into Gaia gave her more strength and beauty, which was the original design when Gaia has created a circular cycle of giving and taking that was now being restored. She walked over and gave Elijah a warm hello and a kiss on the cheek. He returned the gesture and then patted the space on the bed beside him. When she complied, he gave her a penetrating look. She recognized it; it was the look he got when he was going to have a serious conversation. He had it when he was talking to Elena at the abandoned house shed been magicked to. This was her teacher talking. He was taking the role that her goddess had assigned for him, and she needed to listen.
"Sophie, My Dear, I want to talk to you about the experience you had last night when your body overwhelmed you when you saw the stars." She nodded right away, remembering the feeling of bliss that had overcome her and the other magical participants that had given sacrifice to Gaia. "Oui Papa, I remember eet; eet felt incroyable." Elijah smiled a small smile, ensuring that he was happy that she recognized that it was an excellent thing to experience, "Yes, it does; what you experienced, Sophie, is called an orgasm. This means that your body underwent a lot of joy; that pleasure is expressed and centered in women's private areas. It can come out as a burst of feeling down there, as you experienced it in the bathroom earlier. Am I correct? did you achieve that same joy?"
Sophie nodded thoughtfully; it hadn't been exactly as she had felt it last night but is still pleasurable. "Oui Papa, but eet was not de same as when eet was given to me by Gaia; eet was like I ad. How do you say... out of my mind? Non, no, eet was more than dat, that like I ad quitté mon corps." Elijah nodded. He understood what she meant; her first orgasm had been so powerful it was like the feeling had pushed everything else outside of her body, even her soul, because there was so much to feel. "Yes, it can feel like that, but I want you to know that other than in rituals, which feeling should only be achieved with your lover, husband, or by yourself in privacy. Sex and orgasms today are used not to worship the goddess and receive joy from a sacrifice; a lot of people use sex and orgasm for silly fun, not really caring that love or deep emotion is involved Mon che'ri. Some people bargain sex for faveurs qui sappelle séduction." Sophie looked at her teacher in confusion, seduction what was that? She didn't like the sound of it, the word made her feel like she needed to take another shower. "What ees seduction? Papa." Elijah took a deep breath and continued to explain to his innocent child what she could experience from a lot of men until she and Niklaus had bonded and recognized each other as mates. Or until they were consummated. seduction Sophie is using that feeling of orgasm to get what you want from other people such as money, the power that isn't yours, win things that you would not have won any other way. "It is a selfish use of sex and orgasm, and many women and men fall prey to it because it makes them feel good and feeling good is not the goal all the time." Sophie nodded. She thought that she understood, but it was hard. Sophie liked the feeling she achieved on her own, but it was better and felt right when Gaia had blessed her with it. Elijah continued to try and explain as best he could to his daughter, knowing that she was confused about a lot of things. "That feeling, Sophie, if it is not used correctly, can harm the people's emotions, some rely on sex and orgasm to make them feel like they are good lovers, or that they need it to be happy, or that's the only way someone will love them is if they have sex and orgasms when the other person wants to. This feeling of Joy is connected so closely to what we think of ourselves that it can help us feel worthy of love, a being a person that can be respected or fulfilled by our partner and in their lives. If it is not used correctly, it breaks little pieces of our soul away from us. Making people think they're unlovable unless they feel that feeling all the time, or that we don't respect ourselves and others, and that we can be used for the wrong reasons."
Sophie didn't want to feel unhappy about having that feeling again, and when the teacher said that it could be used to gain power from someone, that alarmed her, she was the champion. Would someone try to seduce her to take her magic? She was sure that the teacher and her other protectors would make sure that didn't happen, but the teacher told her what to do to keep herself safe, only with her mate or by herself in privacy. Yes, she believed that she could do that, Sophie nodded her head in agreement with what Elijah was explaining, and he smiled at her understanding. "Sex with a partner is about showing how much you love each other physically, emotionally, spiritually. Sex is mostly how humans, Wicca, core witches, and creatures create babies and families; when a Man places his private part in yours, and you achieve orgasm, you can make life. It is the only time we experience a bit of godhood. It's a unique ability that mortals and immortals have to become like the gods and create life. It shouldn't be used for selfish reasons; you must achieve that joy in privacy with either yourself to explore your body and find the things that make you experience that joy so you can share with your lover or husband, but you must make sure no one is around its polite manners. You understand, Sophie. You may touch yourself in the privacy of your own room but make sure no one can hear you; a silencing charm would be best. And if you have any questions, you must come to me, and I will answer them." She nodded; there was no hint of embarrassment in her facial expression, just one of contemplation. He knew that she was trying to understand everything that he had explained. It was a lot, and sex and love were complex. Elijah was grateful that Rebecca had the job of helping her understand the love she would explain better; she was a woman who had more in common. Sophie nodded, "Quias Papa, I know I em allowed to feel za joy when I am alone een my Chambre with za silencing charm, and when I find za wolf, and we desire to feel za pleasure we may, but in privacy again; yes? I will not let people seduce me to gain my power. eet ees for love and ritual only, yes?" Elijah placed a kiss on her temple and then said, "Ouais ma chère."
Sophie and Elijah joined Severus, Henrik, the two other Vampires, Slater and Rose, and the Wiccan witch, Shelia Bennett. An hour later, they had found their companions down in the hotel's lobby, eating the breakfast that was being served. They had their pick of eggs, muffins, fruit, and cereals, along with beverages of milk, orange juice, and coffee. Elijah gave Sophie a nudge with his hand, and she silently took the order that she was to make her own choice of breakfast foods based upon prior options that she had already eaten. Sophie grabbed herself a muffin, a banana, and some orange juice; she went over to sit with Henrik, who had only blushed when she sat next to him. He knew what she had been doing. Henrik wasn't deaf nor dumb; the youngest Mikelson had lived in the 10th century, for goodness' sake. Henrik had known what those sounds were, and though he didn't speak the language that his niece did, it didn't take that much imagination to figure out the gist of it all. Elijah had gone all still and stiff, just like he'd always done when one of his siblings or himself had acted or done what he thought was inappropriate. He thought it had been quite funny seeing Elijah trying to deal with a woman that physically had reached the age of majority, but her mind was that of a young child. Henrik had thought that it was beyond humorous. His brother was always so proper; it came from Mikel, their father. He demanded that they all act as though they were superior. The Mikelson family was wealthy, not only in the land that they built their home on, but from the raids as well. he remembered all the gold, silver, and bronze that the raiding party had brought back from homes, churches, and other raiders they had met on the way and killed. It was good that Sophie could ruffle his brother's feathers. "Sophie will be doing a locator spell to find our family today, brother, and when we are reunited, we will go forward with making plans to hide, both the Wiccan and core witches. We will also work out how to begin creating mist to hide Hecates Creatures from the non-magical humans as well." Elijah said as he sat down across from Severus and Henrik and next to Sophie, making sure that she liked what she had picked to eat. Sophie listened quietly, picking at her muffin to try and discern if it was to her wanting. It was a cranberry oat muffin, which was tart when she placed a piece of berry in her mouth. Sophie remembered the manners that the young witch had learned in her forgotten previous life and promptly swallowed the disgusting piece of Cranberry muffin, then put the rest of it on the plate and scooted it away. Elijah nodded that she had done so in a ladylike manner. He then watched from his side view as she ate her banana and drank her orange juice, making a mental note that Cranberries were not to be served to her where ever they settled.
Elijah was brought out of his thoughts when he heard Henrik exclaim in alarm, "I Am... I not one of the Magical's, brother. I am human; I believeth not there Shall be 'st a lodging for me in our family." Elijah considered what he would say for a minute; he thought back to when Henrik was human the first time. He didn't remember any instances where Henrik had practiced magic with his mother, as Kol, Rebecca, and Fin had done. Magic, it was in the bloodline. Elijah turned to Sophie and asked if she could tell if he was a Wiccan; she nodded. After swallowing what food had been in her mouth, she began to incant a spell, "Quod sit Revelare Abscondita Cum Autem In." Sophie then flicked her hands in a motion and sent the spell to Henrik. When it hit him, he looked as if to be consumed with flames. Though his body didn't burn, the image of a phoenix was burning all around him. Henrik let out a gasp, or a song of pure pleasure and peace fell from his mouth. The flames began to lower inch by inch until they had vanished back into him. Both Elijah and Henrik looked over at the young witch in astonishment. What they found was an empty chair; Sophie had flung herself into the corner of the room; she was gaping at the one Elijah's family had lost. Sophie started shaking her head in confusion, saying in broken English. "Votre ... vous êtes un phénix sous forme humaine. I," she shook her head again; Sophie couldn't believe that Henrick was a magical creature. Did that mean he was her child? She had created him from her blood, bone, and magic that had been sacrificed. She was so scared. The only thing that brought her comfort was her Papa, her teacher, who was holding her shaking body. "My Lady granted zat gift to you wen you were reborn; you might be able to turn into an actual phoenix-like an Animagus form. We weell ave to test eet, but as you are za yuman vessel of a phoenix, you are eemmortal. Your body may die but you will be reeborn from za ashes; your tears cood ave ealing properties that cood save any yuman or creature from za doors of death; you weell also ave strength beyond wat a uman ees capable of. You Must not tell anyone wisout a vow, enrik. Someone wood try to take you for your tears until za mist is cultivated. Za umans take you and try and do experiments."
Henrik nodded and looked at Elijah, who was holding the shaking girl. He was whispering to her in French while Severus and the others just looked at her. Shelia was amazed; she looked at the young core witch, the one magic and death had chosen, and she could see her strength even though it was underneath a girl who had forgotten everything. Severus simply looked at her with a critical eye making sure that she was alright, though he could see she was frightened. He should get to an apothecary and see about obtaining ingredients for a calming draught. Rose and Slater were simply just stumped; they had no words but what they did know was that all the humans in the lobby had to forget, so they took the runestone that Sophie had made each of them and began to erase the event from everyone's mind. "Yes, Henrik, with the cause we will be undertaking, I am sure we will come up against enemies. We will all need to be careful." Elijah said while walking Sophie back to her seat next to him. He wandered off to collect more breakfast foods that Sophie would eat since she'd only had a piece of fruit and orange juice. Just then, Jonas came walking into the hotel lobby with his son Luka; they sat with the group, and while Luka began to speak to Henrik, avoiding Sophie. He didn't feel comfortable around her since last night he saw her naked and watched as she orgasmed, and he had followed soon afterward with every other magical that had been in the clearing. He wasn't shy or anything. It was just that nothing like that had ever happened before, and it was a bit disconcerting being that she was the one to involve them. Jonas, I presume you brought the globe we requested? Elijah asked as if nothing had happened, and they were having a typical morning. "Yes." He looked around him. He recognized Shelia Bennett from her classes at Whitmore college. But there were two others he did not; one was an older man around his own age with dark hair and eyes, he had a distinguished face. And a young boy that looked similar to Elijah but younger. A sibling vampire, maybe? Whoever they were, he and Luka would be cautious.
Jonas handed the medium-sized globe that he pulled out of Luka's backpack to Elijah; he set it on the table between him and his daughter. When Sophie noticed it, she abandoned her breakfast then looked to Severus. Sophie handed him a carving tool and asked him to carve the runes for magic, family, blood. And the rune to find those hidden by magic, Severus proceeded to do so. Sophie then gathered blood from each one of them. She placed seven drops of blood from each person on the compass points of the globe, then cast. "Regio Engorgio, Akrrives Simeio, Mobulus Oculus." then she cast "Homenum Revelio" then ended it with a Protean Charm. Severus looked at her and smirked, thinking that if she were Holland Potter, still he'd comment, it's good that you're improving on your father's Idea and using it to save the world instead of sneaking about a castle. But she was not Holland Potter, and she didn't know anything about her past or what Holland's birth father had done. The future past version of Holland potter was getting ready to send Teddy lupin to Hogwarts next year. The Holland Potter living in England would have no clue what her, the Remade counterpart was up to. She would only receive the Benefits of Sophie's work. Dots and names began to appear on the globe; the Wiccan witches were astounded by the spells that Sophie was able to cast, they had similar, but Sophies were more powerful than theirs. The runes that Severus Carved on the globe began to glow as they worked in tandem. It was definitely beyond what Shelia or Jonas could do. It made them believe what Sophie had said at the bonfire that their places as Wiccan witches weren't the top of the pecking order, that thinking Vampires were evil and against nature was wrong if magic accepted them. They couldn't be blamed for their belief because vampires were created without the proper ritual, without permission from the goddess Hecate. Lady Magic obviously accepted them as hers, and they had a place in the balance of things. Shelia knew that Elijah had been redeemed; she too had been watching on the other side and knew that he was now a living immortal, he still needed blood, but the urge to kill was gone. Jonas did not know this; it would be a shock when he found out the champion would redeem the entire species. There, Sophie said as she pointed to a spot on the globe. Papa Niklaus is in New York, along with Gretta and someone called Maddox Valente. We were close yesterday the other day, but it looks like the rest of your siblings are in Chicago except for one who is in New Orleans. Elijah kissed his daughter on the temple, she had done a magnificent job in all her spell work, and he was immensely proud of her.
Sophie scrolled in on the map; she found that the four Mikelson siblings and their mother's bodies were stationary in a storage warehouse. Henrik looked at her, she did not know why they were not moving, and Henrik did not either; the three Mikelson siblings and Esther had been hidden from tracking magic and spells for a long time. Sophie and Henrik both looked at Elijah to explain. Everyone could see that he was uncomfortable; Severus got up and said that he would head to the MACUSA and register himself as alive and figure out his Vaults. Shelia asked if she could go along just to take a look at the magical world; he agreed, but before Severus could Apparat, Sophie Halted their progress. "Mees. Bennett, Professor..." Severus held up his hand to stop her before she could say anything else. "I am not your professor Ms. Mikelson, and though you are younger than I, you may call me Severus." Sophie nodded but stayed silent, sensing that the Bennett witch wanted to speak also; Shelia looked at this young girl and said politely, "You May call me Shelia." Sophie smiled and curtsied as her manners and lessons dictated to someone older than she. Sophie smiled then made to finish what she had been about to say. "Severus, eef za ministry een England won't release your funds and Gringotts as locked your Vaults, pleeze let me know. I can open a vault for you and geev you a loan. zen wen you get set weeth your own potions shop or owl order, you can pay me back. The same with you, Shelia; I'm sure you ad a retirement. Let me know, and I weell geev you back what you lost. Papa and I ave more than enough money to compensate you; I weell not take no for an answer." The two were stunned at Sophie's decisiveness and generosity. This had been the first time they had seen her act like the adult she should be. It must be the champion part of her taking over. Severus was beyond grateful to be able to witness the product of magic at work. Shelia just didn't have any words, her funds had been distributed by her family, and she indeed was without a thing to her name.
Sophie then turned to Rose and Slater and wrote a letter stating that a sire line meeting was going to be held, that if they didn't show up within one month, they would die. She put a compulsion charm on it strong enough so that whoever touched it would feel the need to be at the designated location, at the assigned time. Sophie also gave them each a vile of Verita serum; she told them the dose. The vampires were to be questioned so that the names of human friends and contacts could be retrieved. Sophie turned back to Henrik and Elijah while Jonas and Luka went back towards their car; Elijah had asked for privacy to explain why his siblings were boxed up like cargo. "Henrik, Sophie. You need to understand our family changed when mother and father turned us into Vampires. Niklaus Became Paranoid that we would leave him because he was discovered to be but our half-brother. I became more strict, my expectations became high, probably too high for anyone to reach. Kol became more reclass, his love for breaking the rules was enhanced. Rebecca, her desire for love and to be loved was increased tenfold as well. And Fin loathed being a vampire from the first moment. He wanted us to kill ourselves, but we slowly learned how to use our vampire abilities, and we thought of ourselves as gods. Hence, we did what we wanted, took what we wanted, and we got into arguments. Since we were now immortal, our perception of time was altered; if we separated for 10years, it didn't matter except to Niklaus. With father constantly after us, Niklaus, in his way, just wanted to keep us safe. In the 11th century, we met the Brotherhood of the five; they were vampire hunters. They had been given a weapon that could put us down temporarily, only until the weapon is removed. Niklaus was the one to escape that fate because he was part wolf. Niklaus confiscated all five of the weapons in his anger and slaughtered all the five, enacting a curse that had caused him to try and kill himself for near enough 52 years 9 months and 4 days; it was enough to drive him deeper into madness and paranoia. He uses them when we disappoint him; he's had Fin daggered the longest for 900 years, we learned not to believe in each other."
Henrik looked at his brother with tears in his eyes; he wanted his family to be as they were. Henrik looked at Sophie with pleading in his eyes. Sophie, is there anything you can do? Sophie took a moment to ponder what the teacher, her Papa, had said she needed them all. The teacher, the wolf, the warrior, and the seeker of love. She had two of them already, the child that was taken too soon and her teacher. Sophie would do whatever the goddess demanded to have her family whole. She needed the second half of the siblings who lost each other. Then Sophie would be complete, then as champion, Sophie could continue her quest. Sophie Margaux Mikelson knew mind magic, but she thought to ask Severus to do it. Sophie needed him as well. He would be necessary to her; she wasn't sure in what way, but Sophie was determined to keep him close to her family. "Severus moost come wis us, teacher; he ees qualifiés dans la magie de lesprit . I will destroy ze weapons. Then all of you shall enter a blood pact; eef you try to hurt or kill each other by any means, you'll be made to suffer for eet. zat's all I can offer for right now, Papa." Henrik nodded it would have to do; the three Mikelsons joined Jonas and Luka at Elijahs SUV; Luka was kind enough to talk to Henrik; he had made a go at trying to instruct the boy about the world around him. While Jonas, Elijah, and Sophie talked, Jonas asked what she had done to block up the Wiccan magic. He remembered Sophie saying that it would only be possible to use by doing rituals. Sophie laid a hand on the older black man's forearm; she could tell he was feeling nervous and vulnerable without the immediate use of his magic. It had always been readily available to him. Unknowingly he and others were taking Magic from Gaia without giving anything back. Wiccans didn't consider that magic could die or the well of magic could empty without giving it a source to refill itself, it should have crossed their minds, but when you wielded a power that defied the known laws of physics. It was hard to think logically. "When I took Your blood, monsieur Martin. I was able to enforce a binding spell through your entire bloodline. Those who share even the Moindre bit of his blood with you are bound to it, so your daughter Gretta will not have access to her magic. It was not made known to your bloodline like the announcement my Lady made when she gave the knowledge to every creature, witch, or Magical around the world that I was the champion. I do not want to tip my hand; Gretta is with the wolf. Right now, he is unredeemed and volatile; if he found out that she does not have her powers, he would probably kill her if he thought that she was no longer helpful."
An hour later.
After speaking to Jonas and Elijah, the young Mikelson witch sent a Patronus message to Severus letting him know where they would be located when he was done with his business and let her know if Shelia required funds. Sophie was surprised to see her Patronus took the shape of an arctic wolf. Sophie was mesmerized by the creature, not knowing that it had changed from its original form from her previous life; no longer was she, Holland Potter. So, her Patronus was no longer a Stag. After that, she gathered Elijah, Jonas, Luka, and Henrik together, and with a spell, she changed the tire Iron that was in Elijah's trunk into a portkey. Then saying the trigger word, "Family," They whirled out of existence and appeared in Chicago, where Elijahs Family had been stored at the storage facility. With that done, Elijah and Sophie landed perfectly while Jonas and Luka landed flat on their faces, Henrik would have landed the same as the others, but Elijah reached out with his speed and steadied him. Sophie wasted no time; she picked up a stick and put it in the palm of her hand cast the point me spell to find each of his siblings. The Mikelson Witch took one of Rebecca's rings that she was wearing, cast the Portus spell on it then placed it back where she had gotten it; she would be sending Jonas with Rebecca. Sophie gave him instructions to leave the dagger in until everything and everyone was back together. He agreed and held on to the coffin. They watched as he and Rebecca whirled away again. Sophie had set the destination as the hotel room where She. Elijah and Henry had slept last night. She did the same with Kols glove that he had been wearing, sending Luka with him with the exact instructions, the same with Fin's wooden necklace she Sent Elijah back with his eldest brother. Henrik and Sophie saw the remaining coffin that she tried to open the lid with her hands, tried casting Aberto, and tried Alohomora, which didn't work either. "Could you try to open it, Henrik? the spell is keyed to family members." Henrik tried to lift it, but all he exceeded in doing was expending unnecessary energy. Sophie had decided that she would need the warrior's help to figure out what was going on; he was the one that was most knowledgeable about Wiccan Magic. Sophie looked around and found a cord. The two of them wrapped it around the coffin; Henrik tied the knots since he knew how. Henrik stood back, watching his Niece cast the Portus spell again on the cord he had connected with a Knarr knot. Then within thirty seconds, Sophie, Henrik, and the coffin port keyed away. "I hast only five siblings, who is in the other coffin, Elijah?"
Elijah knew that he had more siblings than the five initially. The goddess had practically said that to him when she mentioned the two that had lost each other. It was a prominent statement that Lady Hekate had made that there were at least one or two other siblings that he didn't know about. Rebecca was the seeker, Niklaus was obviously the wolf, Henrik was the child taken too soon, Kol was the warrior, and He was the teacher. That left Fin as either one part of the two that had lost each other, or he was something different. "I do not know, brother, but I will find out. I promise you." Sophie cared only so much about who was lying in stasis in the wood confine; she would find out who that was because it wasn't one of her chosen companions. Sophie knew the other half of the two was in New Orleans. The mystery of who was in the coffin would have to be answered by the wolf; he would know, and then so would she and the rest of her family. Sophie moved away from the coffin that she and Henrik had transported with; she walked over to Severus to ask him to run a diagnostic spell on it, but before she could, Shelia Bennett was running her hand down the coffin with her eyes closed. Figuring that Shelia could feel the Wiccan magic and knew what it was. She changed tactics and asked Severus to enter Rebecca's mind and inform her of the happenings of late and prepare her for when they woke the sleeping vampires. Elijah had done the same with Kol; Sophie sighed the pressure that had begun to build after being unable to open the last coffin; the stress of uncertainty just fell away from her. She walked over to Fin and started casting the spells on him; Sophie began to redeem him as Lady Hekate had her teacher. She pushed redemption into his bloodline, along with the Charms and Curses that would induce obedience to the rules she had set forth. Spells were not only placed and sealed into his brain but through to his whole sire line. They would be redeemed creatures unable to kill in anger, revenge, or boredom. They would only kill in Self Defense; his sire line would not take Vervain and would be compelled by her and her family to erase every memory of the supernatural from the person had or would feed on. If the vampires rebelled, their brains were set with a trigger linked to the cruciatus curse through her magic. "You are redeemed, Fin Mikelson; you are now a living immortal, no longer a creature made by broken and stolen magic. I will find your sister and reunite her with you if you but pledge to follow me and help me with my quest to save our world." Sophie spoke to his mind; she didn't wait for him to answer, knowing that everything he had learned would be a lot to take in.
Sophie switched with Severus doing the same with Rebecca, then Kol. Once the Mikelson siblings had been redeemed through Hecate's adoption and Sophie's Magic and spelled with the rules and consequences into minds and bodies, it was followed up by being spelled into their bloodline. Elijah vamped to the blood bank compelling the nurses to pack up a cooler of blood bags for his siblings. He then had the woman alter her paper and computer records so that any theft would go unnoticed. When Elijah came back, it was to Sophie giving Severus instructions, "Severus, we moost both be ready to cast ze petrificus totalus on zem once zey wake up, zey will be een a blood rage, even zough ze Mikelsons are redeemed now, zey avent fed een an exceedingly long time." Sophie explained. He nodded in agreement and had both of his hands pointed and at the ready. "Enrik stay behind Monsieur martin and Madame Shelia. zey weell protect you eef your siblings should get by us." Henrik moved to obey her, he loved his siblings, but he didnt know if they could be reasoned within such a state as they would be in. Luka also stood by his father to help out. They were both still juiced from the ritual they had participated in last night. Sophie cast a shield spell over him just as an extra precaution. Elijah set the blood bags on the table and then took the Daggers out as He and Sophie had decided. Rebecca was the first to be un-daggered; everyone, the three Wiccans, the Phoenix, the teacher, or the two core Magical's, waited until she woke up. When she did, the first thing Rebecca saw was Elijah; she leapt at her brother and embraced him. He then handed her one of the Hospital blood bags, then another until she had drunk her fill with blood. Elijah brought Henrik out from behind Jonas, and Luka Martin and Shelia Bennett, the shield Sophie had placed around him, walked with him. Rebecca saw her long-dead brother behind a blue forcefield, and she didn't know how that was possible, "Henrik! How... is this Possible, Elijah, how is this possible?"
Henrik nodded to Sophie, saying without any words to let the shield down; he wanted to walk up to her and embrace her. Sophie waved her hand, the blue field disappeared, and Rebecca paid little attention to those around her; she felt his warm skin and long brown hair just as she remembered it from the last time she saw him. "Det er din bror gule blomst." Rebecca fell to her knees and cried, calling his name repeatedly. All Henrik could do was sink down to the ground with her and rock her shaking body. It was a while later when Rebecca had cried enough tears of joy and was able to compose herself again. "Please, Elijah, tell me how this is possible?" Elijah walked over to Sophie, took her by the hand, and smiled at her warmly. He looked at her with so much adoration and love; Sophie couldn't describe the emotion. She had no experience with feelings other than the basics like Happiness, sadness, fear, and love. "Sister, I would like you to meet My dear and most precious daughter, Sophie Margaux Mikelson. And Champion of Magic, the Mistress of Death, she sacrificed her blood flesh, and bone to resurrect her friend Severus Snape, the Matriarch of the Bennett line of Wicca Witches and our brother." Rebecca looked at Sophie, the girl he claimed as his daughter, then to Elijah, then to Henrik, who was nodding that she had brought him back, then she did the most unexpected thing she hugged her deeply grateful to Sophie. "I still don't understand everything you said there, Elijah. There is a whole lot in that statement, and I have no bloody clue what it means." Sophie smiled at the tone of Rebeccas voice; for some reason, it made her laugh. She was happy to see the seeker of love; Sophie had the feeling that she would learn a lot from the woman. That is an explanation that will take quite a while, seeker of love. "Eef you cood wait until we wake up your brozers, I will geeve you all an answer, but I was made from ze union of Yajna Leifdotter." Rebecca giggled, the name Sophie had given her, the seeker of love? That was descriptive. It was also ludicrous; why would she give her that nickname. Rebecca sat down at the table and pulled Henrik and Sophie down next to her. "Of course, Elijah Fancied her quite well. I thought for sure he was going to ask for her hand, but that was before that Bitch Tatia Showed up."
Elijah glared at his sister and said while he walked over to Kols coffin and pulled out the dagger, waiting with Severus and the Wiccans for his brother to wake up. "Really, Rebecca, must you be so crass it wouldn't do well to teach Henrik or Sophie filthy language." Sophie looked at him, confused. What was crass language? "What was the Crass language Papa, why is it bad?" Elijah huffed and murmured under his breath about his sisters introducing his child and little brother to the vulgarness of words used in the world today. She ruffled Hendricks's hair and cooed at him, which he retaliated by shoving her arm off his head, she then took. "You're right, Elijah; our little Henrik and your daughter Sophie must learn to be the perfect little Gentleman and Lady just like you and myself," Rebecca said, with a smirk on her face. Elijah rolled his eyes and fixed his cufflinks, ignoring his sisters teasing words. Sophie watched the teasing? Was that what it was called? A while later, Kol woke up; they had to go through the same thing, except Kol got his first dose of Crucio when he tried to go after Luka. Sophie explained a bit of her quest to have something else to focus on while he drank the blood from the hospital. As Kol fed and listened, he became more interested in her and Severus's brand of magic as she explained the things that they could do. And started a conversation with Severus while Elijah talked with Rebecca, Sophie, and Henrik. Sophie and Rebecca did their best to listen and learn about the last 90 years. It was interesting to Rebecca to see the two sides of her Witch niece. One moment, Sophie looked and acted like an adult; the next, she acted as if she was a child. And what Sophie had called her, the seeker of love? What kind of name was that?
It seemed that the Mikelson siblings didn't have any understanding of modern technology. Sophie and Severus explained that their magic didn't comingle with electricity very well, so they had no need to learn about it. It fell to the Martins and Shelia to fill Rebecca and Henrik in on the age of technology. Fin took the longest to wake up when he did Elijah and handed him multiple bags of blood. When Fin drank his fill, he got up and made to move to the door. He wanted to leave to find a way to end his life, but that was before he saw Henrik; when Fin saw his little brother the feelings that had been buried while he was asleep, along with the emotions the man harbored for his missing sister, Freyja all came bubbling up and spilling out. He broke down like the rest of them had done. "Do'th thou really wish to die, brother?" Fin sighed. How could he explain to his littlest brother that they were not meant to be these things, these monsters? "We are monsters, Henrik; Mother never intended for us to become this, lusting after blood, and killing at will. We have no control, brother." Sophie and Henrik shook their heads. Didn't he understand what Sophie had done? She had redeemed him and told him all of this. Did he not believe her? "That's not true, brother Sophie has redeemed each of you. She has made right what our mother dared to do without permission from the goddess. She hath also spelled each of you with her magic, non can counter'th it except for her. Each of your minds, Bodies, and bloodlines hath been spelled with restrictions you cannot killeth. You still need blood, but Sophie hath runestones that will erase memories to hideth yourselves from the Non-Magical's."
Fin shook his head stubbornly; he had remembered the words spoken by the strange girl; he had heard everything that had been going on around him while Fin was coming out of his sleep; he knew she claimed to be the champion of death and magic. But he was as skeptical as always, he didn't trust anyone. "How are we to be sure that these spells cannot be broken? all magic has a loophole, Henrik." Fin argued that was the thing about Fin. He was so stubborn in his hatred for himself and his other siblings that he would not bend. "Because the Lady magic giveth her authority, Sophie is the champion; she doth nothing without it being Lady magics will. For the goddess' sake, she hath brought me, her companion Severus Snape and Ayanna's descendant Shelia Bennett back." Fin shook his head in sadness. He hated hurting his brother, but it was something that Fin would not give up on; he would correct his mother's mistake. Sophie got a Tingle in her mind; she closed her eyes and began to commune with her patron goddess. Hekate was explaining that Sophie needed to show Fin where his other half was, punish him for his unbelief. She opened her eyes again and turned to Henrik and said, "Eet will be alright, Enrik; once we ave brought ees sister back, Ee will be well." Sophie looked at him in the eyes, conveying her sincerity to him. He nodded his head; he could only hope that she was right, but he was still confused about how she would convince his stubborn brother to stay with them. Sophie cast the sleeping charm on him; Elijah caught him and looked at her wide-eyed. Kol jumped out of his seat and hissed, at the girl champion or not, no one did that to his little brother. "What the Bloody Hell was that witch?" Kol crouched in a defensive position. Rebecca also stood up, preparing herself for a fight if necessary, but she would admit that she was nervous about these two witches; their magic was more potent than the Wiccans, but she would defend her family. "Yes, Sophie, what the bloody Hell was that about?" Sophie didn't answer. She just stood up straight, and regal, her power began to grow and fill the room as if the fog were rolling in. Sophie could see that they were bending to the weight of it. Severus came up and raised his hands so he would be ready to cast to protect her. "Immobulus," Severus incanted. It caused the Wiccans to be frozen in place. Before anything else could happen, Sophia cast a "Petrificus Totalus" that caused all of the Vampires except Elijah to freeze in their current positions. Sophie, what is going on here? Sophie looked at Elijah, unsure of what he would do once she explained, but Sophie knew that she owed him answers.
"I feel... I feel angry at Fin for his unbelief in me Papa, Ee presumes zat wat ze goddess as deemed worzy is not, I ave redeemed each of you, you are each living immortals, you ave all zat was denied to you by your mozer, Papa." He smirked at the temper tantrum that his daughter was throwing; she was even stomping her feet and fisting her hands. It was the most adorable, and she just kept going. "My goddess as chosen to accept Ester's creations as er own, and Fin reviles that choice Papa, I will teach him a lesson. Ee wants to be mortal; zat ees wat he will be for a time until I bring ees sister back. Fin will be uman. Ee will have ees magic blocked from im to teach him umility; I'm sorry eef you are angry wis me." Elijah looked at Sophie, he could see her fear of what she thought he felt for her, but it was untrue. He loved her; she was most precious to him like Henrik was, but he was saddened that she was the instrument in punishing his oldest brother for his stubbornness. Elijah could feel the bonds of his vow straining; this was the first test Elijah had gone through to see if the teacher would really stand by her. Elijah looked deeply into her eyes and then nodded his understanding and acceptance. He reached for her, and she went willingly into his arms and cried. All the fear that she didn't understand why she had melted off her, he then turned to his siblings and said, "I have made a vow on my life that I will support Sophie to the absolute best of my ability, in what she must do and the burden she must bear to save this world. This mission is far beyond the importance of family. I will love you always and forever, but this is truly beyond us; I'm sorry, Fin, you must find humility and reverence in this Punishment." Elijah stood behind his daughter and placed his hands on her shoulders in support; Sophie raised her hands and said "Reverto Hominum." Fin began to yell as his fags appeared, then disappeared, and his eyes flashed then returned to his standard brown color. He could feel his body warm, and his strength diminish. Then Sophie cast another spell. "Potestas Ligandi." Fin could feel the connection that he had once felt with the earth leave him; he just felt empty except for the commands in his head. Fin could not harm his blood family. Sophie was part of that; he had nothing. Sophie Finite'd the spells that she had cast upon Rebecca and Kol, Severus did the same with the martins and Shelia. Rebecca looked at Sophie, then at Fin, and asked Warily. "Sophie, what did you do to Fin?" Sophie didn't look at her, but she continued to look at Fin deeply and sternly.
"By my command, you are mortal once more. And you weel remain so until you show umility, I weel bring your sister back to you of zat you can be sure. Fin Mikelson. You must show true remorse from denouncing ze gift of ze goddess. Ekate as given a gift by taking your mozzers abominations unto er own and redeeming zem. Your mozzer was an abomination. She was a traitorous Wiccan. Aving never sacrificed to ze goddess Gaia nor asked permission from Ecate to create you, And you zink yourself better than my Lady? I seal my casting by ze weetness of zree. Severus, do you vow to weetness zis casting as coming from magics champion?" Severus stood beside her and flung his hand in the air letting his magic permeate the already thick air around them. "I do" The Magic swirled around him, and he glowed. Sophie then turned to Her teacher, and in his capacity as the teacher of the champion, she asked, "Teacher do you weetness zis casting from Magics champion?" Elijah stood tall; the siblings watched as his countenance swelled. He seemed to become a more elevated and more powerful version of himself. "I do." The witness Elijah cast had him glowing with magic within him, and around him, his brothers and sister watched and were awed with the loyalty he had shown the girl; they remembered he had said that she was his daughter, but they didn't understand how that was possible. Sophie then looked at Shelia, asking in her capacity as the champion of magic and death. "Shelia, do you weetness this casting from the champion of magic and death?" "I do" The magic swirled the third and final time; it settled within the room. Heavy as it already was, it became more so. "You know ze requirements Fin Mikelson, you weel eizzer find remorse so you can see your sister again or you can die, I am going to need all of you to accomplish my quest to save ze world. If not, we will be discovered." The tension broke when Henrik woke up and rubbed his bleary eyes. Elijah asked Kol and Rebecca to explain what happened to him while he took Sophie away to talk. Elijah took her for a walk so that she could walk off the stress of what she had just done; he couldnt imagine meeting more of her family and having to punish one of them so soon. She began to shake. "Je suis mauvais père, to ave zis blessed ability and use it zis way, je sais que cétait parce que jétais en colère. Pourquoi étais-je si en colère papa, your brozzer disrespected my goddess; eet cooed not go on; I deed not want to urt my family." Elijah held her as she wept. Dam, his brother, he had to hate himself so much that he would cause her to punish him like that; Dam him to hell. "Shhhh, ma chère. vous nêtes pas une abomination. Je taime et ils comprendront une fois que tout sera expliqué."
Later, after a good cry.
"Well, I think that we should go and say hello to Niklaus, don't you?" Elijah said as he and Sophie came back to the hotel room; Sophie banished the coffins and accio'd the Daggers. Sophie put them in her bag she had brought with her. Sophie also transfigured Rebecca, Fin, Kol, and Henrik's clothing into something more modern. The youngest Mikelson Witch took Elijahs advice on the style, knowing that he would know what his siblings liked more than Sophie would. She accio'd all her things, added them to her bag, then took the garbage can, cast a Portus on it, and told everyone to hold onto the can and not let go their destination to the closest Portkey station, which was in New York.
They walked up fifth Avenue to the Dylan Apartments. The group traveled up to the penthouse where the Mikelson Witch cast the "Hominum Revelio" and saw three people there. Sophie asked them to stay out in the hall. She closed her eyes and called on the power of the invisibility cloak, and before all their eyes, Sophia Margaux Mikelson disappeared. Neither the vampires nor witches could sense her with their magic or their advanced senses and sensitivity. Sophie cast a muffling charm on her and Jonas, then she placed her hand on Jonas so he could see her; she told him her plan to release the magic block on all the witches in the room; he nodded in understanding. Sophie sent a silent Alohomora. The door clicked open, then she cast an ownership spell and found that Niklaus hubris went so far that he hadn't had a living person hold the deed to his house; she thought that was very reckless of him. The wolf would have to be smarter than that. Sophie then turned to her Papa and said "Welcome blood of my blood, you are free to enter." Just then, a vampire sped in, Kol and Rebecca vamped in as well, holding the sandy blond, blue-eyed vampire down. His two witches came running in and held up their hands to try and take the Mikelson siblings down with brain aneurysms but found their magic didn't respond to their command. Severus sent a stupefy to each of the Wiccans, they fell to the ground unconscious Sophie watched as the three siblings fought each other. Severus and Sophie cast wards against muggles from hearing and seeing the chaos created by my squabbling siblings. Muffling charms for privacy, notice me not charms and obscuring charms. Henrik and Fin sat at the table, waiting for the temper tantrums to end. Elijah sat, waiting as well. Sophie and Severus conjured wingback chairs of their own while also summoning a tea service. Sophie fixed Elijah's tea and informed her that he liked it; half an hour later, after the yelling and threatening ended, the three of them came into the living room, and Nicklaus sat on the opposite chair from Elijah.
In contrast, Rebecca and Kol sat on the couches. "Ello, Niklaus; as you can see, your siblings are free. eet ees about time zat we ave a family council, no?" She then sent an incarcerous at him, binding him in ropes, his feet to the legs of the chair. Niklaus snarled and growled at the girl; he had no idea who she was, though she was beautiful and felt a pull towards her; Niklaus didn't understand; he ignored that. The girl had taken out his witches with a mere flick of her hands and bound him in non-vervain ropes that he could not break free from. When he looked up, ready to spit threats and vitriol at her, the Mikelson witch got up and transformed into her Animagus form of a White and grey Tundra Wolf with black eyes. Sophie walked over to him and Bit him in the leg; his growling stopped; he was so stunned by her automatic and painless change, and the fact that she had dared to bite him the action made him speechless. She then turned back casually as if it was as easy as taking a breath of air. What came out of her beautiful, luscious mouth caused indescribable incredulity on everyone's faces, "Bon garçon, tu feras un bon pote mon loup. Tu vas toucher ma place privée et me faire voir des étoiles, hein?"
