Izuku's POV:

I slowly wake up after what feels like days, I feel a small and warm weight laying next to me. I look next to me and see Eri fast asleep, her upper body is resting on the bed while her legs are in a futon. She must have stayed to watch over me while I was unconscious. I slowly sit up and feel a burning pain in my back, the kind of pain you get when you rub a sunburn too hard. I hiss softly, great way to wake up... I slowly get out of bed, careful not to wake Eri up, and go to the bathroom. I splash cold water over my face to finish waking myself up then I take a good look at myself in the mirror. Let's be honest I look like shit. I'm sickly pale, I have heavy bags under my eyes, my hair is messier than usual and my eyes have a feverish glint. Great just what I needed... I slowly take of my PJ top, Hari must have changed me before putting me in bed, and I turn around to see my back. No wonder it hurts so much! The handprints are a little swollen and really look like burns, the skin around them is an angry red no wonder it hurts, there are various sizes of them and from what I counted there are 8 of them. They also have different colors, the biggest one on my right shoulder blade is a crimson red, the one on the left shoulder blade is a dark blue and around the same size as the first one, the one at the base of my neck, which is the size of my hand, is moss green, the one in the middle of my back is the smallest one and is a gold color, the one on the left to the gold one is slightly bigger and a pinkish purple. The one to the right of the gold one is a neutral shade of grey, the one above my right hip is bigger than my hand and is pitch black, the last one above my left hip is red, lighter than the one on my shoulder though. I sigh and decide to take a shower to ease a little bit the irritated skin, I'll think about the meaning of the colors later when I'm clean and fed because I am starving! After an hour I come out of the bathroom, drying my hair with a towel.

"Izu-nii! You're awake!" Eri jumps in my arms and gives me a big hug, I hug her back gently and rub her back.

"I'm sorry for worrying you Eri-chan. How long have you been watching over me sweetie?" She looks up at me with teary eyes.

"Three whole days! I thought you would never wake up and leave me alone..." She sniffs before buying her face in my chest, holding back her sobs.

"Oh Eri... I'm so sorry I made you this worried... But I'm awake now! And guess what?" She looks up at me again.

"What?"

"I have a Quirk now!" I smile happily.

"Well I don't really know how it works yet but it's really cool!"

"Really Izu-nii? That's awesome!" She smiles happily, her tears long forgotten now and she hugs me again, I gently put her down and pet her.

"Can you go find Kurono for me and tell him I'm awake sweetie? I need to talk to him." She nods and runs off to wherever Hari is, in the mean time I put on clean clothes, I manage to find a black open back top that I don't remember buying. At least it won't hurt me when I move around. I get dressed and wait for Hari or Eri to show y, after a good 15 minutes Hari shows up with breakfast! My savior!

"Finally awake ? You sure had us worried kid!" I look down, I really feel guilty for making everyone so worried about me...

"Even Kai was getting worried and try to find out why you weren't waking up." Overhaul was worried? After what happened? He checked on me? Somehow... It makes me happy. I'm happy that he found time to check on me and try to find what was wrong with me.

"I'm sorry..." I hear Hari sigh and put the plate of freshly cooked pancakes in my hands.

"You're awake now brat and it's all that counts. Now eat breakfast while I'm going to warn Kai that you're awake."

"Hey Hari..."

"Hm?"

"Is he...mad at me..? For what happened..." He thinks for a bit before shaking his head with a soft smile.

"No he is not mad at you, but he still will punish you. I'm sure you understand that stunts like yours can't and won't go unpunished." I feel an unpleasant shiver down my spine and nod reluctantly. Of course there would be consequences. I attacked him after all! Hari leaves and I start eating the fluffy pancakes he brought me, it tastes really good! Looks like someone followed my recipe. Once I'm done I put the plate aside and anxiously wait, slowly losing myself in my thoughts. Maybe I could have handled the situation better if I had calmed down first...

"Of course you could have stupid Deku! Is your pea sized brain not working properly?! Shitty nerd." I wince a bit when I hear Bakugou's voice in my head. It's been a while since I last heard it...

"Ahem." I'm pulled out of my train of thoughts by Overhaul clearing his throat, I was so deep in my self-hate reflections that I didn't hear him enterthe room

"You are finally awake. Good. How are you feeling Midoriya-kun?" I look away, too ashamed to look at him directly.

"The skin of my back hurts a bit... Kind of like a sunburn. Beside that I'm fine, still a bit tired but fine." He nods and sit on a chair.

"Turn around so I can take a look." I obey and have my back face him, I feel his gloved hands on my skin and I can't help but blush. Lucky for me that he doesn't see my face.

"It's very irritated and raw, I'm going to use my Quirk to heal it alright?" I nod and hear him take off one glove, he puts his non gloved hand on my back again, I blush more at the feeling of his skin against mine. His hand feels cool against mine. His hand feels cool against my flaming hot back which feels very nice... Then a few seconds later the pain is gone, my back doesn't feel hot anymore but the coolness of his hand is still very...pleasant. Said hand leaves my skin again for good this time, I try to compose myself again before looking back at him.

"Th-Thank you Overhaul-sama..."

"Now that it has been dealt with. Let's talk about your Quirk." I nod.

"Do you have any idea why it manifested this late? I never heard of someone getting their Quirk at 16 years old."

"Well... When I was sleeping I... Found myself in a dark part of my mind. I heard a voice there and it told me that they were my emotions and they created this Quirk for me." He pays close attention to my story, I can see the gears in his head working to fully comprehend what happened.

" I see... " He stays silent for a moment.

" I have a deal for you." A deal?

" What's the deal sir? "

" I want to do some...experiments with your Quirk. Understand how it works, see what it can do." Ah...

"In exchange of your consent I will stop using Eri for my drug." I look up at him in disbelief, really?

"I gave some thoughts to what you told me three days ago and I managed to synthesize Eri's DNA. It was long and very difficult but I was able to get approximately the same results." I sigh happily, Eri will finally stop suffering and start living a normal life. Overhaul looks at me directly in the eyes and extend his hand to me.

" Do we have a deal Izuku?" I shake his hand immediately.
