Later that day at Hex Side, Luz and Amity were having lunch together as Amity filled her in on what all had happened that morning.
"You really said that to your parents?" asked a shocked Luz while staring at the witch who sat next to her.
"I did, but now I'm afraid to go home since I don't know what will happen," said Amity with a nervous expression.
"You can stay at The Owl House if you want, I'm sure Eda won't mind," said Luz who had placed a hand on Amity's hand to calm her down.
"Thanks," said Amity before kissing her cheek.
"I knew it," said Willow as she and Gus approached their table.
"You two did start dating," said Willow who had a smug smile as the two sat down. Amity couldn't even say a word from benign so embarrassed, but her fully tomato red face said everything. Suddenly, they heard the sound of thousands of feet heading to the door that led to the lunch room.
"What in Titan's name?" asked Headmaster Bump as hundreds of abominations stormed into the room.
"Where is Luz Noceda?!" asked Mrs. Blight as she walked in after the abominations which stood against the walls of the room.
"Mother, what are you doing?!" asked Amity as she stood up.
"I'm getting rid of this little problem," said Mrs. Blight as her gaze locked onto Luz who was still sitting next to Amity.
"You three may want to get down," said Luz in a low voice. Amity then noticed that she had her gloves on which had been in her pockets until now.
"Under the table, now," said Amity to Willow and Gus.
"Take this!" said Luz before several bolts of lighting shot from her left hand. This traveled to each abomination and destroyed them, sending goo flying all over the room.
"How did you do that?!" asked a terrified Mrs. Blight as Luz started to walk toward her.
"Your daughter has helped me to figure out a ton of new glyphs, but out of respect for her I decided not to hit you with that spell," said Luz. Before another word could be said, Luz heard Amity call out.
"Luz!" said a panicked Amity as Boscha, in her Emperor's Coven uniform and mask, grabbed her from behind.
"Come to the Emperor's Coven with a way to get the portal to the human world working, or you'll never see her again," said Boscha as she pulled Amity into a portal that had opened up behind them.
"No!" said Luz as she shot a fire ball too late and instead of hitting Boscha it hit a wall instead.
