It was a beautiful morning in Konoha and Kanna was excited to go out and enjoy it. However, she was excited for another reason; she hadn't sensed the dark chakra for over three days now, and that made her happy. So happy in fact, she decided to venture out of the house on her own today and go to the park.

She hurriedly jumped out of bed and began getting ready. Kushina had put out a fresh white sundress for her to wear today, which she put on without fuss; she then looked in the mirror and thought about how she wanted her hair. After a few minutes of mentally arguing with herself, she wore her hair down with a white headband.

Smiling at herself in the mirror, she was ready for breakfast. Quickly she walked into the dining room area where she found her Grandmother making breakfast, "Good morning Grandma," she said.

Kushina who was busy fixing scrambled eggs and bacon turned her head and gave her granddaughter a small smile, "Ah, good morning dear. My! Aren't you looking pretty this morning," she said.

Kanna blushed at the compliment, "Well, it's such a pretty day today I've decided to go to the park today," she said.

Kushina smiled, "That's a wonderful idea dear, I was worried about you not getting enough sunlight with you being cooped up in your room all the time," she said.

Kanna took a seat at the table, "Well, you know how I get when I'm reading," she said.

Kushina didn't respond as she scooped up the eggs and bacon, putting them on a plate she placed it in front of Kanna, "I swear, you and your father are two and the same," she said, catching the younger girls' attention.

The little girl looked at her grandmother inquisitively, "We are?" she asked.

Kushina nodded, "Yep, your father always preferred to read instead of join in social activities," she said, not mentioning that that was because the man had been suffering from depression.

Kanna smiled at hearing that, it made her feel good to know she shared an interest with her Daddy. Taking a bite of her eggs her mind drifting away to other matters, like who she was going to play with today. It never occurred to her that she should be scared to venture outside.

Han woke up bright and early. Once the sleep was gone from his eyes and an excited smile split across his face, today was the day! Today he would finally capture the young Hatake and he could hardly wait. He'd backed off stalking the girl for the last few days, hopefully, this would give her a false sense of security and make her venture outside.

As he began preparing an omelet for himself, he thought back to last night. The night before he had scanned various areas where the young Hatake might play to make sure he had an escape route. He was hoping she would choose the park, which had the greatest space to escape.

Sitting down to eat he decided it really didn't matter because by the end of the day he would have Kanna.

Once Kanna was done eating breakfast she quickly helped her grandma with the dishes and then decided she was ready to go play, "Bye Grandma, I'm off," she said.

Kushina smiled after her, "Have fun dear," she said.

Kanna then hurried out the door and made her way to Mirai's. Once she reached the small home the Sarutobi's shared she knocked on the door; a moment later Kurenai opened the door. Kurenai smiled when she saw Kanna, "Kanna chan, how good to see you. You must be here for Mirai," she said.

Kanna nodded, "I am Kurenai san, is she available to play?" she asked.

Kurenai nodded, "Ah she is. Mirai, Kanna chan is here to play," she said.

A moment later a little girl that looked like her mother's mini-me appeared, "Hi Kanna chan," she said.

Kanna smiled at her, "Hi Mirai chan want to go to the park with me?" she asked.

Mirai's eyes brightened and she turned to her mother, "Can I mommy?" she asked.

Kurenai tilted her head, "I suppose so, but be back for lunch," she said.

Mirai threw her fist in the air, "Yey!" she cheered as she put on her sandals.

Once the little girl had her sandals on, she kissed her mother goodbye, and then the two were off to the park. On the way, the two talked about what they'd been up to recently. They never once noticed the man following close behind them.

Han smirked to himself as he watched his target make her way to the park and he was even happier to see she was bringing a friend with her. Mirai Sarutobi, daughter of the famed Asuma Sarutobi and Kurenai Yui. He'd never gotten that second person like he'd wanted to, so Mirai would make for a nice addition to his collection.

He smiled, it looked like Kanna was giving him a gift already.

The two girls made it to the park in record time and immediately made their way to the swings, which was their favorite thing to do at the park. They both took turns pushing each other until they were tired, they then decided to climb the jungle gym.

Kanna who was by far the better climber of the two was nearly at the top of the metal contraption, while Mirai was in the middle. It was here while they were climbing that something unexpected and horrifying happened. A kunai with an exploding tag attacked to it landed underneath the Jungle gym.

The two girls stared at it a moment unsure of what it was; however, they didn't stare long before an explosion rocked them away. Boom! the blast covered the entire playground, catching a few unsuspecting children off guard.

Mirai landed on the left side of the park, while Kanna landed on the right side, right where Han wanted her. The blast knocked Mirai out but Kanna was somewhat awake; although, due to a cut on her forehead, she had a bad concussion.

It was while the poor child was down and delusional that Han pulled her into a wooded area. Kanna who was barely able to form a functioning thought managed to recognize his chakra signature. "It's you," she whispered in terror.

Han saw the girl opening her mouth to scream, so he grabbed a large rock and knocked the child out. Just as he was about to make a clone to grab Mirai he sensed several chakra signatures headed his way. "Damn, they're fast," he thought, as he quickly made a clone to grab the young Sarutobi.

Han quickly took off, his clone following close behind him. Luckily, he had kept his booth cart which had a compartment big enough to hide the children in. Stuffing them inside he took the long away around the park to avoid the Anbu and various other shinobi that had arrived to investigate what the hell was going on.

As much as he wanted to stick around and watch the chaos, he knew he needed to get his butt out of there. As quickly as he could without drawing unwanted attention to himself he made his way to the front gate. The guards gave him a questioning look and one of them asked him what the heck was going on. "I'm not sure but an explosion went off in the park," he said.

The guards looked shocked, "Oh my god, I hope no one was hurt," one of them said.

Han nodded, "Me too, those poor children must be so scared," he said.

The guards nodded as they took his papers. One guard looked at him curiously, "So you're leaving already?" he asked.

Han nodded, "Yes, it's time I went back to the capitol," he said.

The guard smiled at him, "Well have a safe journey sir," he said.

Han smiled, "Thank you, I hope you gentlemen have a good day now and I hope no one was hurt at the park," he said.

The guards nodded and then Han was out the gate.
