This battle could decide everything, whether they will walk out of this place, or not. The battle that they got dragged in they didn't know what to expect. This tarot shadow...It seemed really powerful. It was also guarding this chest, and whatever was inside it...the shadow didn't want them having it. Whatever was in it, it had to be something worth it. Both canines were battle-ready, while the feline was at the back. They were all ready for the red armored night to make its move. But for some reason, it wasn't attacking them. It was staring at the two very intently.
''W-what do you think is happening? Is it observing us?''The Labrador asked. To be honest, Legosi doesn't even know. This battle is just like the other Tarot Shadow they faced. It felt like that this shadow was waiting for them to attack, rather than having the advantage...Does Tarot Shadows have honor? That they let the weak strike first?
''M-maybe...Well...it could be, um...waiting for us to attack?''The wolf suggested, but before they could even theorize the reason why the shadow was just standing there. Its house willed out a battle cry as the horse ran at their enemy. It was going for a Tackle. The wolf saw this, he grabbed a hold of his friend as he jumped out of the way of the tackle before it could hit any of them. Jack thanked his friend as the wolf nodded, quickly helping his friend back to his feet. The horse was still running, it turned in the back toward them attempting to attack them again. This time the two were fast enough to avoid the impact, but again the shadow was trying to tackle at least one of them.''I-It keeps running at us!''Legosi again avoided the rush, it was literally trying to smack one of them.
''I-it's gonna keep doing that! We have to find a way to stop it before we get seriously hurt!''The labrador explained as he dodged the rush attack. Turning to the feline, who was hiding behind a crate.''Himiko! Did you find its weakness! o-or anything that can help us stop this monster from running!''
''I-I'm trying, I'm trying! I-It's just that it keeps running! Maybe if the shadow slows down a bit, then maybe I can analyze its weakness!''The feline shouted. The canines, kept dodging the attack, but at some point of they will get hit, so they have to try something. The tall wolf dodged the attack once again, before the shadow could turn around, Legosi quickly ripped his collar summoning Amaroq. The four-legged beast braced himself as he watched the shadow quickly approaching them. As the shadow struck the four-legged beast, Amaroq stood his ground trying to keep the shadow at bay. But Amaroq's strength wasn't enough as it got knocked away. Legosi was also struck by the tackle as he went crashing into nearby crates.
''Legosi!''Jack shouted in concerned worried about his friend's safety. He quickly ripped out his own collar as Hainu appeared before him.''Get it!''He pointed at the Tarot Shadow as the winged canine summoned Kouha to attack its foe. But it almost wasn't doing any damage to the shadow.''I-It didn't do anything!''He realized that the shadow was now focused on him. Before he could even react, the shadow raised its spear as it used Eiga to attack its opponent. The attack connects and made Jack stumble to his feet making him really dizzy, Hainu was also affected by the attack and disappeared.
The tall wolf finally managed to get the massive crates of him, he shook off the dizziness that was in his brain and looked at the scene. The wolf could see that his friend was done, and the shadow was approaching the dizzy labrador.''Jack!''The wolf quickly stood up, and ran toward his friend.''Persona!''The wolf ripped out his collar, Amaroq appeared and howled. The shadow turned to the four-legged wolf as if it were accepting its challenge.''Amaroq!''The giant heeded his master call. Calling forth the skill Garu the cyclone engulfed the shadow. While the shadow was engulfed in the cyclone, Legosi was at his friend's side, checking if he had any serious injury. The cyclone enclosed the shadow, damaging the shadow. It seemed that the attack did damage the shadow, but the attack wasn't strong enough to make it slump on the floor, Amaroq returned back to his summoners. Jack appeared to snap out of his dizziness.''A-are you okay?!''He pulled his friend up to his feet.
''Y-yeah! B-but that really hurts!''The labrador held his arm, the shadow stood there menacingly observing the two. Jack realized that the shadow was just standing there, giving Himiko the chance to analyze the enemy. Turning to the feline.''D-did you find something a-about it!''
''I-I can't tell it's weakness!''Himiko yelled out. Both canines turned to the feline, Stunned to hear about this.
''W-what do you mean?! Y-you should know!''The labrador exclaimed. This caused the feline to be ticked off.
''N-Not all shadows have a weakness! Some shadows have, while some don't! If a shadow doesn't have a weakness, then try something different instead of exploiting weaknesses!''The feline replied annoyed.''Besides Tarot shadows are out of my reach! But I will keep track of what attacks have what effects on enemies!''Both canines felt underwhelmed about this, if she can't tell its weakness, then they have to try different things to try and exploit it. But they weren't sure if this shadow has a weakness...They have to try whatever they have on their persona.
''W-well...What do you think we should do?''The labrador asked his friend.''I don't think what I have would work on it...''
''I-I'll attack, a-a-and you...um...j-just stay back!''The labrador didn't know what his friend was planning but nodded trusting his friend's judgment. The wolf took a deep breath, even though he was shaking, he shouldn't be scared...But he is. Running in, he ripped out his collar.''Persona!''The four-legged wolf appeared, facing the shadow. A purple aura appeared on his claws readying his Terror Claws as he charged at the shadow. The shadow accepted it and charged at Amaroq. Both clashed, but the shadow was overpowering the four-legged wolf. Eventually, Amaroq was knocked back, Legosi was getting weaker, this isn't working. He needed to think of something before he collapses! Jack saw this, he couldn't afford to have his friend fighting. He understood that he was protecting him because of his lackluster power, but he can't just stand there and watch. He watched his friend fighting the shadow, he hated when he felt helpless. He shouldn't be doing this alone, he has the same power he has! Yes, it's true that he can't damage the shadow, but he can be useful in some other way. After Deciding his course of action, he set his mind to one thing. Amaroq got knocked away, and disappeared, Legosi fell to his knees. The labrador's hands turned into fists as he ran to help his friend.
''Let's go! Hainu!''The winged canine appeared, using Kouha to attack the shadow. The shadow felt the attack and turned toward the labrador, but Jack wasn't fazed. The wolf saw Jack standing in front of him protecting. He wondered what his friend was doing. Was he buying him time to recover? He still had those medicine bottles.
''W-what are you doing?! That doesn't do anything!''Himiko asked astonished about the sudden attack and determination on the labrador.
''I-I know! But I can't just stand here doing nothing!''The labrador said with courage. The shadow continued to stare at the labrador, but Jack refused to move. The labrador gulped as he continued to stare at the tarot shadow. He was shaking on the inside, but he has to be brave, he has to be reliable.''I-I'll distract it! F-find away to knock it down!''Hainu once again used Kouha to attack as Jack ran away. The shadow was now focused on Jack. The shadow used Eiga to attack Jack, but the labrador dodged the attack.
Legosi watched the labrador distract the enemy by attacking, and dodging at the same time. His attacks weren't doing anything, but it was distracting the shadow away from the wolf. The wolf thought of something, if he was being distracted, then maybe he can attack it when the shadow is distracted...
Standing up. He summoned his persona.''Amaroq! Go!''The four-legged wolf appeared once again, he charged at the distracting shadow. Not noticing that Amaroq was approaching fast, the shadow used its spear to Skewer the winged canine. The attack connected, and Hainu was sent crashing into a wall, thus making the persona disappear. Jack stared at the shadow scared, knowing what would happen next, he covered his face, bracing for the impact, but it never came. he was saved at Amaroq used his body to Tackle the shadow.
Jack stared at the four-legged wolf, then at the wolf, and he looked okay. He was honestly relieved that he was fine. But right now they had more pressing matters to attend to. The labrador quickly went to his friend's side as they faced the shadow, but they didn't expect what the shadow would do next.
''Ugh! You insignificant fool! How dare you attack me from behind! Have you no honor!?''
The shadow just spoke...The canines didn't see this coming! They were too shocked to say anything, but they had one thing in their mind.''I-It talks!''Jack exclaimed, and with the tone of the labrador, he was very shocked, to say the least. Legosi couldn't blame him, he would have the same tone as Jack had if he were to voice it out.
Suddenly Himiko chimed in.''D-didn't I say that Tarot shadows can talk?''Now that she mentioned it, they did remember that she said that. But due to the events that have taken place in this castle, they simply forgot about it.
The labrador gulped.''Well, I think...we might have angered it...''The labrador quietly said, Legosi nodded. The one on the shadow, it was clear as day, they made it really angry. The horse stood up as it approached the two as the rider spoke.
''I have been fighting all of thy fair and square, and thy attack me while I am not paying attention?! thy have no shame! What do you have to say for yourselves! HMM?!''
Both were afraid to do anything, they haven't realized that they could have angered the Tarot Shadow as it posses emotions. They felt like they made the fight even harder, and they weren't looking forward to it. Legosi stepped forward, attempting to converse with the Tarot Shadow. Jack grabbed his friend's arm, wanting to pull him away from danger. The wolf turned to his friend, shaking his head, Jack hesitant, but nodded letting him go. The tall grey wolf turned to the shadow as he mustered the courage to speak.
''I-I am sorry for a-attacking you, B-but you were attacking my friend, s-so I had to do something...''The wolf said, giving a goofy smile. He hoped that he could somehow calm the shadow down, and maybe walk out of this place alive?
''Sorry?! Perhaps you should have taught about it before attacking from behind! As a knight that is very low!''
That distorted tone, yet angry tone really terrified the wolf, but he continued with the conversation.''L-look...I-I'll appologi-''But was cut off with a booming voice, which ironically would have caused an earthquake if it were louder.
''Silence! I will not listen to thy squabble for thy pathetic life! die with Honor!''
Before anyone could react, Legosi was suddenly engulfed by darkness, Jack could hear his friend scream in pain. The labrador stood in place, shocked, but soon was replaced by fear as he heard a loud thud. As the darkness dispersed, he could see Legosi laying on the ground. The wolf was having trouble getting back up, Jack wanted to run to his side, he wanted to heal him, but his body refused to move he was too scared to do anything. His heart was pounding really fast, how could he let this happen? Was he a liability all this time? Maybe he shouldn't have come at all.
''Hmm...I am not satisfied...Perhaps that dog's life first will satisfy me!''The tarot shadow aimed its spear at the labrador. But Jack didn't react, he was still as a rock. Legosi urged his friend to run away and hide, but it only fell into deaf ears. Jack wasn't listening.
''I was useless at the very start of this exploration, I shouldn't have come...Now everything will end.''The shadow ran at the labrador, and everything fell into darkness...

''PERSONA!''That alone snapped the labrador from his stasis. Looking up, he could see a four-legged wolf blocking the attack from getting to the labrador. Jack looked confused, but his expression was switched to shock as Legosi stood in front of him. Before anyone can say anything, The wolf collapsed to his knee. The labrador finally managed to move his legs as he quickly moved to his friend's side.
''Legosi!''The labrador exclaimed.''A-are you alright?!''
The wolf nodded.''Y-yeah...I-I'm okay...I-I'm glad you're okay...''The wolf winced as he felt the pain on his body grow. That attack took a number on him...
''I-I'm so sorry! I-I'm just a burden to you, I shouldn't have come...I'm just useless...''The tall wolf stared at his friend in concern. To be honest, he never saw his friend like this. He always looks happy, and fun. But to see him like this, made the wolf feel guilty.
The wolf shook his head.''N-no...I'm happy that... you're here?''He replied unsurely, he wasn't sure how to say this without being too awkward.
''B-But...All I ever did was get in your way...''Jack replied honestly, but the wolf showed a goofy smile. Even though there was a crisis happening behind them, he wanted to cheer his friend up before anything can happen to them.
''No...you...were very helpful, Having you hear...is nice...You were never a burden...not to me.''With how genuine the wolf sound, Jack believed him.
''I...Thanks...I know you were protecting me...I know you wanted to keep me from harm's way, but we should be in this together. No more protecting me just because I'm a liability in this fight...''The wolf slowly nodded, yes he was protecting him because of that, he was also protecting him because of Jack's weakness. He wanted to make sure, he was safe. Now he was feeling guilty. The labrador suddenly stood walking toward the collusion.''Let me do this, I won't let this...shadow bully us!''Jack's left eye suddenly flared dangerously purple.
''Thy cannot...! Defeat me!''
''No! You're over!''The labrador grabbed his collar as he took a deep breath. The four-legged wolf couldn't handle the attack and was sent crashing into a wall as Amaroq disappeared. The shadow quickly recovered as he was gonna strike the canine in front of him.
''J-JACK!''
''M-MOVE!''
''Hainu! Call upon the sacred light!''The winged mammal appeared, calling forth a powerful skill. The labrador was really out of character, but whatever his doing will be a big one! Everyone with the exception of Jack wasn't expecting a giant cross to appear at the center of the battle. The Cross was illuminating some sort of energy, and it was going to release any second!''Get Lost! Grand Cross!''The Cross released a powerful light that engulfed the whole room. The wolf covered his eyes from the light, while the feline hid away and the last thing that they heard was the shadow speaking.
''W-What is this power...?!''
It took some time, but the light energy finally disbursed. The Tarot Shadow was on the floor, defeated. Legosi looked around his surrounding really confused, but he took notice of Jack panting and he seemed to be in pain!''Jack!''The wolf quickly went to his friend's side, ignoring the shadow. He wanted to ask if he was fine, but Jack told him he was fine. He just needed to catch his breath, Legosi didn't look too convinced but decided to trust his friend. Suddenly, Himiko came running towards them out of nowhere!
''Wh-Wh-What was that power?! I-I-It felt like a super skill!''The feline exclaimed. Yes, the wolf had to agree, where did that even come from? How did he even do it? Whatever that was, it really saved them because they were at a pickle. He looked at Jack expecting an answer. Jack saw the expression, so he tried to answer...
''I-I don't know...I...just had the urge to protect ourselves, and this happened...I'm not sure.''The labrador tried to suppress his coughs, but it came out and it was really hurting his chest.
''A-Are you sure your okay...?''The wolf asked again, but the labrador insisted that he was fine. To convince his friend, he will go see the nurse when they get back from this exploration. It made the wolf feel a lot better about this.
The shadow was moving, and Himiko took notice of this as she warned the two.''Be careful! The shadow is getting back up!''Upon hearing this from Himiko, Legosi quickly grabbed a hold of his saber as he jumped toward the defense since he knew that his friend was still recovering. The shadow stood tall and proud. He was staring at the three while Legosi was staring back at it warily. He wasn't sure what this shadow will do, but he shouldn't let his guard down.
''thy have...Impressed me.''
The tall wolf looked confused at the shadow.''W-What...?''He asked, still not letting his guard down,
''Thy have proven to me that thy is capable of defeating me...I feel like, thy might be the one...I am no regular shadow...I do not belong here, I belong to the heart of mammals. I will offer thy my aid.''
''H-huh?!''All three of them looked started at the shadow, it will offer its aid to them?!
''I am Eligor. Please free others from this torment. My power is yours.''
The shadow named: Eligor was surrounded by a blue aura as it slowly turned into a collar, the same collar as Legosi's collar. The collar slowly went toward Legosi as the collar entered the wolf's body. Legosi glowed a bright blue before the aura vanished. Jack and Himiko looked really confused, they weren't really sure what happened, but they did see that shadow was sucked into the collar of Legosi. The wolf on the other hand was also confused, but not like the others. When Alisha told him to show the shadow their power, he wasn't expecting that shadow to turn into a collar. But he could feel more power within him...Was this his power? The wild card?''O-Okay! W-what's going on?! F-first this called a powerful cross!''She pointed at the confused Jack, then pointed at the wolf.''Now...! You sucked the shadow?!''
''W-Why are you confused?!''He wasn't really sure if he wanted to tell about that long beak man, but then again he did tell Jack about it. Though the labrador might have forgotten it, so he decided to be silent about the velvet room. Himiko wanted to say more, but The fire that was blocking the door vanished. Being a good friend Jack decided to save his friend from the situation he got himself into. Even though he was confused about the event that took place, but this conversation can continue tomorrow.
''L-look...We're all tired, we can continue this conversation at a later time.''The Labrador proposed, but Himiko wanted to protest.''If we stay here and answer your questions, even though Legosi might not know the answer. We might fall asleep, and it's dangerous here.''The feline opens her mouth wanting to rebuttal, but decided against it. The feline crossed her arm, pouting. Seeing this as a sign of victory.''Good because I want to actually sleep now...Let's get going, I don't want to start a fight with the enemies here.''
''But aren't we gonna see what's in the chest?''The wolf pointed at something behind him. The labrador tilted his head in confusion before realizing it. He remembered that there was a chest, but he forgot about it since they were occupied by the shadow. But since the shadow is gone, it was free. Still, he has concerns.
''Yeah, but what if it's a trap...we don't know anything about this place. I don't feel safe in this place...''The labrador said, stating his concerns. The wolf understood his friend's concern, but he felt like this chest was safe for some reason. It's like...theirs something important in those chests. Not saying anything, Legosi walked toward the chest. Jack wanted to stop him, but the wolf insisted that he's gonna be fine. The labrador wasn't sure, Jack decided to follow his friend with Himiko following Jack. When the trio was at the chest the wolf hesitant on opening the chest, but with a confidant posture he kneeled down using his arms to open the chest. The wolf had some trouble opening it, so the labrador went in to help. After getting the heavy chest open, they looked down to see a broken piece that might belong to a circular object...The wolf picked up the broken piece of the shard, even though his friend protested stating it might be dangerous, though he still picked it up. The three of them examined the weird broken shard.''What is this supposed to be? And why is the enemy guarding something like this?''The labrador asked in confusion. To be honest, he's even confused because this looks like something you'd throw in the garbage if you have no use for it like a crystal ball used by a fortune teller.
''...It looks familiar...''They heard the feline said, turning to her, Jack asked.
''You know what this is?''The labrador pointed at the shard.''What is it? Is it something helpful?''
''Not really, I don't know what it is...but it looks really familiar...''The feline replied with a confused tone as if she was not sure of her answer. The labrador frowned upon hearing the answer. He was starting to wonder about this shard.
''I think we should leave and maybe we could leave this shard in your hands Himiko? If you don't mind? Our other friends might find this and they might start asking very hard questions...''The labrador explained rubbing his neck. Himiko was confused but nodded anyways accepting the proposal. Jack nodded back.''Thank you, we will come back soon and answer this and Legosi's power...''Everyone agreed with this plan, and they decided to end the exploration and head back to the entrance. When they arrived at the entrance, Jack was so glad to see clearly because when they were exploring the castle, he couldn't see very well outside the borders of the gate.''I'm so glad that I can see clearly!''The labrador said cheerfully, Legosi made sure to hand the fragment to the feline before they leave. Turning to Legosi.''Are you ready to go?''The wolf nodded.''We'll be going now, Himiko! Stay safe!''The two were walking to the door, but something appeared to the left of them. The wolf took notice of this, but Jack didn't seem to bother with the sudden appearance of a curtain. The wolf tilted his head as he slowly approached the curtain-like door. He stopped in front of the door, placing his giant hand at the doorknob he opened the door as the wolf was engulfed by blue light.

The wolf slowly opened his eyes as he heard a faint sound of a piano in the distance. Gaining his consciousness back, he looked around and he realized that he was in the Velvet Room. Did Igor want to talk to him? Was he gonna explain his powers? Looking in front of him, he could see that Igor was already there! He wasn't there when he was looking around!
''Ah, so you have arrived! I was wondering when you would come by.''The wolf stared at the big-eyed bird in confusion.''Now, I will explain the purpose of the velvet room. As a guest of mine and having the ability of the wild card within you. You can carry multiple personas. My job is to provide assistants to my guest by fusing two personas to create a more powerful persona! If you have two personas please come here, and I will make them into something more! I will extend my assistance, but for now, I will only provide you with a simple fusion. Much power will corrupt your heart, please try to avoid this. The wolf slowly nodded, still not getting it.''My assistant Alisha is in charge of the compendium.''
Turning to the female wolf.''I provide a list of persona that you have obtained, I am able to summon them back and give them back to you. But it requires a fee to use this service, unlike the fusion which is free.''Alisha explained.
''Now that I have explained our services, you may return. Farewell.''
The Dark Realm: Entrance
The wolf was standing at the door, and it took him a while to realize that he was standing at the front door of The Velvet Room. The feline and The labrador approached the wolf. Though Jack had a concerned look on his face, probably because his friend is standing like a zombie staring at a black crooked wall?''Are you okay, Legosi?''He turned to his friend.''You were standing there like a zombie. Are you tired? Do you want medicine? Maybe you need to head to the nurse tomorrow? Just to b-''
After hearing multiple suggestions coming from the labrador's mouth speaking his concerns. At first, Jack suggested that he heads to the nurse if he felt really tired, and if that wasn't enough, He also suggested to head to the hospital to get checked out for any symptoms when they were fighting in this world. In all honestly, Legosi was getting really overwhelmed by the countless suggestions.''N-No! I-I'm fine!''He simply said. If he were to say anything more than Jack might further his suggestion, which might damage his brain cells.
''Are you sure? May-''
''I'm fine!''He exclaimed loudly. The labrador looked shocked by the sudden shout. Realizing his mistake, he covered his mouth and looked away from his best friend.''...I'm sorry...''
Jack laughed lightly, placing his hand on the wolf's shoulder.''It's fine! I must have gone overboard, sorry if I was overwhelming you.''The labrador apologized. The wolf still refused to look at him, but slightly nodded still covering his mouth, fearing he might shout again.''We should go now, we have school to attend to. We don't want to be all drowsy during classes...even though that would be really hard...''The labrador muttered the last sentence to himself. The wolf nodded once again and followed his friend back to their reality. They made sure to close the mysterious door, and they were off.
5/10: Lunch Time
When the duo arrived at their room, they made sure to hide their weapons, and if they are caught with dangerous weapons, they might end up getting expelled. After carefully deciding a hiding spot for their weapons, they called it a day and go to bed. But due to their fatigue, when their body landed on the soft bed, they fell asleep almost immediately. The wolf didn't even bother to put on the covers to keep the cold away, he just wanted to sleep. When morning came, everyone in the room was waking up the duo. But due to how pooped out they were. They didn't want to wake up, but they were forced to since they can't afford to miss classes, even though it was very tempting to do so. The shower they took didn't even help! They so badly wanted to rest. Jack was trying his best to stay active and listen to the lessons, but it was obvious he was still tired due to his slow movement, and tired expression. The wolf on the other hand had his face on his book, he tried his best not to sleep during classes but it was proven very difficult.
By the time it was lunchtime, Legosi still had his face planted at his book. Some students were whispering about him.
''What is wrong with that wolf? He's been like that since the beginning of classes!''
''Did you think something happened to him?''
''Or maybe he didn't get enough sleep?''
He just ignored it still keeping his face on the book, not bother to see who was whispering about him. His brain just wants to drift off, but he forced himself to stay awake just for the sake of classes. Hearing his stomach growl as his stomach is demanding food. Still keeping his face on the book, he reached for his bag. He really didn't have to lift his head up since he knows where he places his bag. Taking a plastic wrapper that contains a sandwich, he placed it right next to him and left it there. After a few minutes, he finally lifted his head. It shows from his droopy ears, eyes, and expression that he was still fatigued.''Your still tired, Legosi?''Turning his head, and he could see that Jack had the same expression as him.''I don't blame you...It's hard to keep up with the lesson...''The labrador looked at his book, and it was just a blank page.''You weren't writing anything Legosi?''
''I couldn't think straight...''The wolf said, opening the wrapping as he took a small bite from the sandwich.
''I can let you borrow my notes? But I can't promise that they'll be clear...''The labrador offered. The wolf opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out since someone interrupted him.
''So, did you check out Target?''Legosi ear perked when he heard 'Target'. Both canines turned toward the voice and it belonged. One was a cheetah while her friend is a lioness.''I couldn't help myself, so I decided to check it out yesterday and an admin posted something!''
''What did the admin post?''The lioness asked curiously.
''Why don't you see it for yourself!''And with that, the two friends continue to talk with each other. The canines stared at each other, and they knew what they have to do. They have to check out that site, this sparked some of them to be a little more active...
After School: Library
After classes ended, both canines quickly left to head toward the library. The wolf figured he could miss a little of his drama club activity since this seemed really important. Legosi was at the laptop, while Jack sat right next to him observing what the wolf was doing.''I never got to ask, Legosi. But...How did this site even get in the computer?''
As the computer was booting up, Legosi thought up an answer to say.''I...don't know...It...just randomly appeared here...Nobody knows...''The tall wolf explained, even though it wasn't very accurate. But his friend didn't question him.
''What if it was hacked? It could be possible that someone hacked the school's computer and added the site?''The labrador suggested as both canines watched the computer opening the home screen. Using the mouse, Legosi leads the cursor to the internet explorer.
''I don't know...I think it's too early to tell...''The wolf said. Internet Explorer opened, and the wolf clicked the search bar. He slowly typed 'Target' on the search bar, and just like last time. It went dark, but they could barely see the curser and search bar. It took a while to open the site just like last time, but this time they were patient.
