Chapter 8

It is now 2 weeks later

Kate was dressed normally. That was to say she was dressed pretty much like all the other women here. One could barely call it a top that covered her but gave hints at what was under it and shorts or a short skirt with or without panties.

This time Kate didn't know what possessed her but she put on one of her normal tops, a skirt, and then laced up her shoes and went without panties. Kate had unknowingly spent nearly every hour of every day for the last two weeks with Rick.

However, that one kiss was so far their only kiss and while she was unwilling to admit it to herself, she wanted another kiss. So dressed as she was she left her yurt and walked the short distance to Rick's tent.

"Hello?" She couldn't just open it and walk in. What if he was naked and getting dressed? Though suddenly that idea had her curious and wondering just what she would see. "Hello?" This time she did open the tent and stuck just her head inside but she didn't see him.

"I'm not in there." Rick's voice caused her to yelp and spin around quickly. He was about ten feet away and walking toward her wearing nothing but a pair of shorts. For a change he was topless and she was getting an eyeful of his bare chest. She felt her face getting warm. She'd been caught peeking into his tent.

"I…um, I wanted to know… I haven't been for a few days and wanted to know if you wanted to join me. But you don't have to if you have plans." Though she so wanted him to say he didn't have plans. There were other women around just as lovely as she was. What if he had found someone else to spend his time with?

"I'm just getting back from going for a swim. But a chance to swim with you is something I can't pass up. But first I have a present for you. Wait right here." Rick opened his tent to go inside.

"A present!" Kate felt her heart soar. No one had given her a present since her parents did when she was a little girl. They tended to slow down giving her presents as she got older it seemed. Now she really wanted to know what her present was.

A moment later and Rick was back. "Your present." He held out the bow he had promised he would make for her.

"A bow!" Kate took it from him, looked it over, and felt its weight. It was bigger than the bow she'd made for herself. It was longer, thicker, and even prettier. He had wrapped something around the shaft and then she saw markings.

"My name! In Elvish!" She loved it! It was beautiful.

"It's going to take a little more muscle to draw it than yours and maybe a little more than mine. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it quickly. You're learning fast. You're a very good student." Rick had decided to not just try and get her to learn how to shoot two arrows really fast but to increase her Ranger abilities. Yesterday had been a tracking lesson.

"Thank you." Kate felt a tear start to escape and wiped it away quickly. She raised up on her toes to kiss him again. She had planned on it being a quick kiss. Except when her lips met his she kept kissing him. Then she felt his arms go around her and pull her in tight to him; he was kissing her back.

Kate felt a lot of things during that kiss. She could feel her breasts pressed up against his bare chest. She felt a tingle go south and settle in at her core that started to generate a little heat down there.

"Go put your bow away. We can use it later today at your class. I'll meet you at the lake." Rick spun her around, and gave her a little push, and slipped into his tent.

"All right." Kate felt rejected somehow and yet they were going to go swimming together. "ALL RIGHT!" A now happy Kate took her bow home and snatched up a towel and took off her shoes. She stepped outside and almost danced to the lake. He had said he would meet her there!

Rick meanwhile took off his wet shorts so he could find some dry ones and willed the erection she had given him to go down. If Kate wasn't so damn gorgeous and oh so sexy wearing what she was wearing and such a damn good kisser he wouldn't have this problem.

Technically that wasn't the problem and he knew it. The problem was he didn't want to scare her away from him by trying to do something she wasn't ready for. He needed to be smart about this. However, that still left him with a big problem.

Kate had laid her towel on a bush and was standing there waiting. And waiting. She was getting worried. Maybe she shouldn't have kissed him. Maybe she was right earlier. "Swimming?" Rick reminded her and walked for the water with Kate right next to him. Rick kept walking but saw a change in Kate as she turned into her swan form right before his eyes and swam out past him.

She was gorgeous. How she got those colors was a mystery but those colors fit her perfectly. Rick was finally deep enough that he could actually swim and swam to catch up to her.

Rick trod water and watched as Kate the colorful swan swam rings around him.

"You realize this is cheating. I can't do that," Rick told her.

"Not my fault you're not a swan," Kate said and kept swimming circles around him.

"Well if I remember correctly you said only women could be a Swanmay and turn into swans so I count myself lucky I'm not a woman," Rick responded and that got Kate to stop swimming circles around him and swim right up to him instead.

"No, you're not." He was most definitely a man and she liked him as a man. "Do you like my colors? I think I got them from Mom." Kate lifted a wing to show it off to him.

"They're amazing. You are amazing. …May I?" Rick reached out to touch her wing but hesitated for a moment before stroking his hand along the arm of her wing.

Kate felt a new sensation go straight to her body and then her mind. No one, literally no one had ever touched her like this. It had her closing her eyes and reveling in the feeling. It was so…sensual and pleasurable. It made her whistle suddenly.

Then suddenly his hand was gone and she was splashed with water. "HEY! If that's how you want to play." Kate would teach him a lesson in how to splash someone.

Now while it wasn't easy, she was going to show him. Kate managed to lean back and get both of her feet just out of the water. She began splashing him by kicking her feet just as fast as she could.

Kate watched him hold up his hands to try and block the water but she was hitting his face but good. "Splash me, will you." Kate kept kicking.

"You win, you win." Rick tried to take a breath and then dropped below the water. When he came back up he was right next to her still in swan form. "That was cheating." He couldn't do that.

"You started it." Kate fires back at him. She had been perfectly happy to let him stroke her wing. Then she saw him drift away from her a little closer to shore so she paddled her feet to catch up to him easily.

Rick could just touch his toes to the bottom so he didn't need to kick them. "Shift back for me. Please?"

"Why?" She was out here to swim with him even if he had splashed her.

"So I can kiss you. I can't kiss a beak."

"Oh." He wanted to kiss her again and she did like his kisses. So she quickly shifted back to human and instantly found she couldn't touch the bottom so she wrapped her arms around his neck and felt his go around her body.

Now his lips were right there. "This better?" Kate asked and felt his lips press against hers so she kissed him back.

The kiss never seemed to end. One would break just long enough to get more air and simply go back to kissing. It was the single most exciting and longest kiss Kate had ever had.

They were both back on shore and needed to think about lunch soon. "Kate." She needed to fix something or he was going to end up with yet another erection soon.

"You need to, um…" Rick motioned toward his chest and used his hands to pull something down.

Finally she turned back around to face him. "Better?" It was at least dryer now.

"Lunch and then you can practice with your new bow. After we're both a lot dryer and your lovely long hair isn't so wet," Rick suggested.

Kate took a handful of her long hair and squeezed out some of the water. "Yeah, it is." It was going to take some work to get it completely dry as usual.

They were both soon using a towel to dry off as Kate walked to her yurt next to Rick as she tried to dry her hair with the towel.

"I'll meet you at the kitchen," Rick told her and got a yes from Kate.

They both walked out of the kitchen headed for her yurt so she could pick up her new bow and put on her bracers just as a growling bear went thundering past with two screaming and giggling young girls trying to stay hot on his tail.

"I think I see what you mean," Kate giggled and smiled a wide smile. He had lost his best friend to two little girls who clearly loved him dearly. "He'll be back. Best friends never really give up on each other."

Rick followed her into her yurt. "I suppose you have a best friend?"

"Mostly Lanie. You've met her. She's the one with the…darker tan and shorter than me." She was going to say bigger breasts. Just not as big as Gina's. But he clearly liked her breasts so she tried not to worry about their size.

"Ah, yes." Now he knew who she was talking about. "Just her?"

"Roz might be next and maybe Ann. You saw Ann in the kitchen. She's our cook. She's really good at it." It was why she got the job. She liked cooking and she excelled at it.

"Not this Gina I've heard about and think I've seen a few times." He hadn't really met her.

"Gina, the one with the big..." Kate used her hands over her breasts to show she meant big breasts. "No. We don't get along very well." Suddenly she found herself being kissed again and his hand was on one of her breasts yet again.

"There's nothing wrong with your breast size. Besides what's a guy supposed to do with tits that big? Suffocate or something?" Rick made a joke of it and got Kate to laugh a little. She did like him a little more for that comment.

Kate didn't understand why but he had talked her into bring the bow she had made for herself.

"All right, just one arrow right in the center using the bow you made." Rick pointed at the target and waited. She wasn't all that close to dead center but it would have at least done some damage to an opponent.

"Now use my bow and try again." Rick handed over his bow. This time Kate hit it dead center. "Much better. Pretty soon we'll have you splitting that arrow with the next one.

"Now try again using the bow I made for you." Rick took his bow back and waited for Kate to shoot again.

She quickly realized that this bow needed a little more strength. It was just as big as his bow and maybe weighed a touch more also. Still she lined up her shot and let the arrow fly. That arrow landed right next to the one she had shot using his bow.

"You really are getting pretty good." That had Kate grinning since she wanted to be better. "Now using your new bow, really fast shoot two arrows just like I taught you." He wanted to see where her weakness was so he could fix that.

Kate took a deep breath and pulled out an arrow and shot. And then took out another and fired it. "Oops." The first one was not center and the next one wasn't even close. In fact it missed the tree altogether.

"That's why we practice. You lost your grip on the bow. That's why you missed the tree completely. Never fear, we'll have solved that in no time. Now watch." Rick was going to show her.

"Not the tree, watch me. Watch how I draw the bow, how I shoot the arrows, and how I hold the bow steady between each shot." Even Rick took a breath and quickly shot two of his arrows from his bow.

They both looked and saw his arrows just a touch off center but both of them were side by side. "Pay attention to what you're doing. Not where you want the arrow to go. You learn to do it right and then you learn to do it fast and on target. Got it?" Rick looked at her and saw her nod.

They spent the next hour having her shoot arrows till they ran out and had to retrieve the ones they had shot so they could do it all over again.

"Tomorrow is teaching you how to fight with a sword a little better. Not all enemies are going to just stand there and let you shoot them. Then we can get you into the lake as a human and see how long you can hold your breath and maybe teach you how to breathe through a piece of hollow bamboo without drowning." He had so much to teach her yet.

"And maybe kiss me again?" Kate said shyly.

"Most definitely." In fact Rick kissed her just then to prove it.
