Mireille tracked down Alya in the cafeteria. Nino had basketball practice, Marinette was catching up on some deadlines in the art room with Nathaniel and Marc, and Adrien had been required to go home for lunch as usual.

"Hey Mireille!" Alya greeted casually, and nodded for another helping of the macaroni from the bored lunch lady. "I haven't seen Aurora in here yet."

"Actually, I was looking for you," Mireille said, summoning all of her courage. "I was wondering if you could help me with something."

"Like for school, or..." Alya picked a orange juice out of the small fridge and added it to her plastic tray.

"To set up a friend," Mireille said in a hushed tone, leaning in.

"Oh I'm totally in!" Alya brightened up immediately, and took her by the shoulder through the buzzing fleury of students to an isolated corner of the room. "Soooo...who is our target?"

"Adrien and Marinette," Mireille said with determination.

"Oh, I'm totally out!" Alya said with a sigh, and leaned back in her chair.

"What?! But aren't you and Nino like best friends with them?" Mireille asked surprised.

"Believe me, I'd be totally psyched if those two ever got together, but I've been down this road time after time and now I've realized it never going to happen," Alya said shrugging sadly.

"Maybe they are just like storm clouds, conditions have to be just right to produce lightning!" Mireille urged.

"You might be right, but what makes you so keen to get the two of them together anyway?" Alya watched Mireille carefully. "No offence, but I thought you were one of those Adrien groupies, you know, a card carrying member of the Agreste fan club and all that!"

"It's true, I've been a fan of his over the last couple years. I think he is amazing...who wouldn't?! He is talented, rich, and handsome...not to mention he is always so sweet to everyone" Mireille sighed. Then she bit her lip, and sat forward, "but I want to be sure that Marinette really gets a chance to tell him how he feels before I myself head down that road. Adrien needs to know before, so that he doesn't end out having regrets later. I know they are really great friends...I don't want to put my own heart out there if it means getting between something there."

"Wow! You'd really give up an opportunity to be with Adrien for Marinette?!" Alya commented, regarding the shy small girl in front of her in awe. "I gotta tell you, most girls would stab each other in the back and rip each other's hair out just at the chance Adrien might look their way!"

"I know what it feels like to be in love with someone, who seems to just see you as a good friend," Mireille said quietly. "At least Marinette will have one last chance to let him know...or it will be a sign to move on."

"What did you have in mind," Alya leaned forward.

The rest of the lunch hour Mireille and Alya plotted one last time for the ultimatum of Marinette to confess to Adrien. Their destination, the amusement park. They figured it would be easy to get them there as a group, and then there would be plenty of opportunities to see if there was any spark between them. By the end of the day Alya had easily convinced Nino to help put to sir plan into action too. Despite Marinette's mounting to-do list, as soon as she heard Adrien might be coming, she dropped everything else to go.

Mireille just had to manage to get Adrien to commit to come...not an easy feat with his over protective father, and over scheduled life...but for Ladybug, Mireille was determined to get him there somehow.

Mireille set off to track down Adrien, and found out from Alex that he was helping put away equipment after gym class with some of the guys. His class had just finished a game of basketball, and Kim and Ivan were high-fiving Adrien for making the winning three-pointer when Mireille walked in.

"Hey Adrien!" Mireille waved from across the gym when she spotted him.

"Hi!" Adrien called out in surprise, and returned her wave enthusiastically.

"Agreste always knows how to score on and off the court!" Kim teased, and elbowed Adrien.

"Shh...come on she's coming over," Adrien hissed back at the other guys, who chuckled.

"Yeah! She's coming over cause you're a chick magnet!" Kim jabbed Adrien's side, and Adrien tried to bat him away without making too much of a scene.

"It has been proven that opposites attract!" Max joined into the banter.

"Comm'on guys!" Adrien shot them a glance, that just made them laugh and slap him on the back on their way out of the door. At least this left him with some peace and quiet to talk with Mireille!

"You were looking for me?" Adrien asked Mireille egarly, with his curiosity brimming. He wondered if she had somehow been able to tell that she had been on his mind all day.

"Actually Alya, Nino, and Marinette were wondering if you wanted to go to the amusement park this weekend? They wanted to know if there was any way you might be free?" she blushed, twisting her hands in front of herself. It was suddenly so hard to look Adrien in the eye now that she was face to face with him. For some reason he was just staring at her as if she had just announced a blizzard in July.

"Are you going to be there?" Adrien asked without missing a beat.

"Well, I don't know... I'll have to see..." Mireille reeled at the directness of his question, and the way he leaned in towards her.

"I'll come if you're going to be there," Adrien smiled his dazzling magazine-cover smile at her, with a hopeful tilt of his head.

"Uh okay..." Mireille stood stunned in front of him.

"That sounds like so much fun! This way you can get to know my best friends!" Adrien grinned, and practically skipped out the door, calling back enthusiastically, "I can't wait Mireille!"

Mireille stood stunned in the middle of the empty basketball court. As much as her intentions had been honourable, and she had tried hard to push her own interests aside, she had not been at all successful in helping to set up Marinette with Adrien...it didn't seem like Adrien understood at all! Instead she might have unintentionally just arranged her own date with Adrien Agreste...right in front of Ladybug!
