The next morning, Hugo knocked on the door of Varian's room.
Half-awake, Varian groggily responded, "Come in."
Hugo entered Varian's bedroom just to see him about to start his day.
"Good morning, Varian," Hugo said, blushing.
Varian rubbed his eyes, running his fingers through his bedhead. "Morning, Hugo," Varian said.
He then fully opened his eyes, noticing that Hugo, fully dressed, was sitting on his bed. Being the bi disaster that he is, Varian blushed and fell out of the bed.
"Goggles, you good?" Hugo asked.
"Heh heh. Couldn't be better!" Varian said. "That you saw me in my underwear!" he shouted. "Do you know how embarrassing this is?"
"I can only guess how this went with Cass," Hugo said, winking.
"Enough, Hugo!" Varian shouted while blushing. "Now, don't watch. I need to get dressed."
Later that day in the Enchanted Library...
"Varian! Varian! Did you tell Hugo yet?" Yong exclaimed.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Yong," Varian said. "We aren't an item, goddammit!"
Yong's eyes lit up. "You say that now, but you can't deny it!"
"Shut up, Yong," Varian said. He turned to Hugo. "Let's talk. Alone."
So Yong and Nuru left.
Hugo blushed, then Varian blushed. It was a never-ending circle.
