"Was it smart reincarnating Asia, Rias?" Blake asked as he laid down beside her.
Rias looked at him and said.
"I'll need all the advantages I can get if I want to beat him."
Blake didn't say anything as he stared at her.
"Tomorrow we'll be meeting Sona's peerage and then going to the Familiar Forest." Rias said after looking at the ceiling.
"Oh? So we'll be getting familiars?" Blake said interested.
"Yep~ You, Issei, and Asia will be forming a contract tomorrow."
'Why do I have a bad feeling about this?' Blake thought.
They sat in silence for a while before Blake spoke up.
"Hey, why do you not care that I eat people." Something that has bothered him to no end.
Rias didn't say anything before speaking in a quiet voice.
"Do you believe in love at first sight?"
Was that possible? That only happens in fairy tales. What could he say to that?
"..." He couldn't say anything.
She looked at him with a smile again.
"I do." She said quietly
To think he would find love after starving to death. Any hope of a fairy tale adventure stopped at that point.
Could he say it though?
"It haunts me, you know. Sometimes I think that I'm still unconscious in that cave. I'm also a monster capable of terrible things, do you still believe…"
"I do, I think you're a wonderful person." Rias said smiling without hesitation.
"I've been cold to you." Blake admitted.
"You're hurting, and all I've wanted is to help you, Blake. After going through what you went through, I understand."
"I love you Blake." Rias said finally. Those words. Blake couldn't help but tear up.
"I love you too." He finally said.
She smiled the brightest he's ever seen and grabbed him by the shoulders, kissing him.
"I don't see Blake the Wendigo, I see Blake the young man who was alone." Rias said softly.
That hit him hard.
"You're something else, Rias." Blake said, smiling earnestly for the first time he came to this world.
She looked at him with tears.
"That's the first time I've truly seen you smile."
"We need to be ready for tomorrow~"
Blake nodded his head and wrapped his arms around Rias, who leaned into his chest. Blake then fell asleep for the first time since being turned.
They both woke up, got dressed and went to meet the others at the club.
"Today we will meet Sona's Peerage, please try your best to get along" Rias said happily.
"Shitori-San is a devil!?" Issei said, shocked.
"She's the other overseer of this town, and has her own peerage." Rias added.
They then go to the Student Council meeting room.
As Blake walked in to the room he noticed that everyone was already there including Genshirou Saji, who made his way up to Issei and him.
"Hello! You must be the new devils that recently turned. It's okay to come to me for advice." He said haughtily
Issei said "You're not very impressive for a fellow pawn." Causing Blake to chuckle.
"I'll have you know, Kaichou used 4 pawns on me, making my potential higher than yours, so know your place." Saji said angrily.
"Calm down Saji, Rias used 8 pawns on Issei Hyoudou, and a mutated bishop for Blake Yuki."
"Eh?" Saji let out a confused sound.
Saji then looked at me and said
"Kaichou, what is a mutation piece?"
"Even I'm not sure of what it entails, only that the strongest of beings can be accepted by one." Sona said in a lecturing tone.
They all looked at me in shock.
"But he doesn't even register in my senses." Tsubaki Shrina said, intrigued.
"That's a byproduct of what he truly is." Sona said again.
"Just know that my bishop is strong." Rias said with pride.
They didn't look happy at the mysterious answer.
"Rias, here is the teleportation circle for the Familiar Forest." Sona said as she gave her a slip of paper
"Thank you for giving up your place for me." Rias said happily.
"A pleasure seeing you and your peerage, let's go" Rias said with excitement.
Sona nodded and we all left to go back to the club until night time.
As it hit midnight everyone gathered around the paper, and they were teleported.
"Welcome to the Familiar Forest Devil-samas" the Familiar Master said. He was a middle aged man with a white
"I am Zatouji, the current Familiar Master of this forest."
He then looked at Blake, Asia, and Issei and said
"What kind of familiars are you looking for?" As he said that a small dragon with blue scales came up to Asia and nuzzled her face.
"Looks like a Sprite Dragon, you should be honored, it only goes around people who are noble." Asia giggled and before anything else could happen, Blake's ears twitched. He looked around and heard a quiet voice singing. The others noticed him looking around, and Rias said
"What's wrong?"
"I hear singing. You guys keep looking, I'm going to check this out." And before anyone could protest he was already going through the trees.
As he walked the singing got louder.
"Something is telling me to run away." It's like they say, curiosity killed the cat.
As he broke through a clearing he saw a small spring with someone bathing in it.
She had long glowing blue hair and was currently resting on a rock, she was also singing beautifully.
She heard noise and quickly looked over to see Blake mesmerised by the singing.
"Ara? It looks like a devil caught me bathing." She then sniffed her nose.
She slowly waded through the waters getting closer to him. Blake could only gulp, waiting for the woman's righteous fury. He closed his eyes, and felt that she stopped right in front of him. He opened them slightly and could see her sniffing him.
"You're no regular devil. You smell delicious"
"What are you?" Blake asked quietly, trying not to stare at her large breasts.
"I could ask the same of you?"
Blake sighed in irritation.
"I'm a siren. If you were normal I would have gobbled you up." The woman said, causing Blake to flinch.
"Now your turn, strange devil."
"I'm a wendigo." Blake said softly.
She hmmd and said
"Do you know what you smell like?"
Blake shook his head.
"You smell like my new master… I'm guessing you came here for a contract?"
Blake nodded his head, clearly uncomfortable.
"You're in luck, young one. My name is Silfia."
"You're going to be in the middle of things, I can tell."
Blake didn't know what to say to that.
"I'm guessing you have a master?"
Blake nodded his head again.
"Lead on boyo."
"Put on clothes first please." Blake said awkwardly
She nods her head and snaps her finger, conjuring a long blue dress.
They then make their way back to the rest, using Blake's nose.
"There you are!" Rias says getting everyone's attention
"Who is this?" Rias asked with her eye twitching.
"This is my familiar, Silfia."
Who then waved.
"Eh? What kind of being is that?" Issei asked.
"I'm curious too." Zatouji said.
"She's a siren." He looked shocked at that.
"This will be my first time seeing one, they often kill those who approach them "
"So that was where the singing was coming from." Akeno says
"How do you go about finalising the contract?" Blake asked.
Rias then explained the spell to bind the two.
"I look forward to battling with you, master."
With a little bit of magic, the contract was formed.
"What did issei get?"
As Blake asked, a slime-like monster approached them.
'Hell no.' With fitness and speed, one of Blake's ice needles stuck itself into the blob, freezing it on contact.
"These slimes are known for harassing women, and dissolving clothes." Zatouji said after watching what happened.
Issei's eyes lit up
"C'mon let's find another one, I think I found the best familiar."
Koneko cut straight into him
"Stupid Perv."
They then all went home, with Issei leaving empty handed.
"Riser is coming tomorrow. I have a plan, but it's a risky one." Rias said as they sat on the building looking at the moon
Blake looked at her curiously.
"I'll challenge him to a rating game. If things go well, I'll be free."
Blake nodded his head.
"I promised you'll be freed. When the time comes, we'll be ready for him."
Rias only looked worried.
"You absolutely cannot fight him before then. Doing so will ruin the plan."
Rias said seriously.
Blake gritted his teeth knowing that it would be hard to control his anger.
"Very well." She sighed and then said
"We need to go to bed. I'll need a clear mind to make it tomorrow." They then flew to the room.
As he laid down he realised he was in front of the cave again.
He walked into it and saw the figure on the throne.
"I'm not holding your hand this time."
"I know, I'm just not confident that I will beat him."
"We are an apex predator, King of the Icy Mountains, trust your instincts." The figure said darkly.
"So what, you're just going to leave me to stew!?"
"You should know that I care for her too, I'm you after all."
"You hated her." Blake said, confused.
"It seems the longer we come into contact, the more we change. Have you noticed it?"
"..." He did, it was getting harder and harder to control his hunger. He was satisfied after eating the Fallen Angel's, but that quickly went away. The normal food he is eating is not enough. That's going to be a hard conversation.
"You'll lose control soon as you are, without a doubt. Then the others will see you as you truly are."
"I just hope I don't hurt anyone close to me."
The figure scoffed and waved his hand.
By the time Blake got up, Rias was gone.
"Must be at the club house."
Blake did a few stretches before putting on clothes. He then made his way to the club house. As he entered he saw that everyone was gathered around a coffee table in the middle of the room, with a couch empty on the opposite side. Seeing Grayfia, he went to the wall and leaned against it, closing his eyes. As he glanced at Rias she noticed she was gripping the couch very hard.
'She hasn't looked at me even when I walked into the room.'
"Lady Rias, Riser Phenex will be arriving shortly." Rias only gritted her teeth and nodded her head.
The room then lit up with a large magic circle.
'He here' Blake thought.
When the lights died down the form of Riser and his peerage.
"Ah Rias, I see you have your peerage here, and even the Strongest Queen."
Riser said as he glanced at Grayfia.
He then looked at Issei and Blake.
"I see you have two new peerage members. Greetings, I am Rias's Fiancee." Riser said calmly.
"No way, he has a harem!?" Issei shouted out as he looked at Riser's peerage.
Rias sighed as Riser laughed.
The girls all looked disgusted.
"Hes undressing me with his eyes, Lord Riser." One said.
"I doubt you could ever manage a harem, even if you had one, Observe." Riser then kissed his Queen while fondling her breasts.
"You yakitori bastard, I'll kick your ass." Riser laughed before signaling Mira, his pawn, to attack him with a wooden staff. Issei looked shocked at the speed and couldn't react.
Right before it hits him it's stopped mid swing by the hand of Blake. Mira looked stunned as she tried to grab it back from him.
"It seems not all of your peerage is weak. Just know that she's the weakest of my group." Blake let go of the staff and glared at Riser. He then smirked and said.
"I can tell."
Riser's eye twitched before heating the room up. Grayfia coughed and said.
"I will not permit fighting in this room."
Riser looked at her with a smile
"Even I must back off when the Strongest Queen says so."
"Rias, our wedding is soon, I assume you're ready?"
"I will never be ready to marry scum like you… Riser, I challenge you to a rating game, with my freedom on the line." Riser looked shocked, before smirking and said.
"Very well, although it would be unfair, so I will give you a week to prepare, but if I win, you won't complain, right?"
Rias angrily said
"Don't underestimate my peerage!"
"The terms have been agreed on. A rating game will take place a week from today." Grayfia says quickly, before Rias says anything else.
"Come on, ladies." Riser says pissed off, and then teleports out, taking his peerage with him.
Grayfia then teleported out after sending a worried glance at Rias who was now crying.
Blake couldn't stand the sight of her crying.
"We're here for you Buchou." Akeno said softly.
Blake closed his eyes and left the room.
