Chapter 8: A New God is (Temporarily) Born

Now that Mauve was basically a god due to the power of all the Chaos Emeralds, they could basically do whatever they want, if they knew what to do.

The now fifty-foot-tall stature of Mauve, with many tentacles sprouting out of their body, floated above the city of Station Square, deep in thought.

"What to do with all this power?" They snapped their "fingers," and half the city vanished. Not exploding, no, just simply getting erased from existence.

"This could be fun."

The group of four stood in a section of the city that did not vanish.

"So that's what the creature becomes when they get all the Chaos Emeralds," said Tails.

"Great observation," replied Shadow sarcastically.

"Hey, what happened to my house," yelled Amy, running towards the group. "Oh, HELOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SONIC!"

"Gah! Hello Amy. What brings you here?"

Amy stood a few feet from Sonic, resisting the urge to give him a hug (because if she did, then she couldn't tell him something important). "Well, my house just kind of vanished, along with about half of the city. Did Mauve cause this?"

"This appears to be the case," replied Eggman. "The Chaos Emeralds have given the creature unlimited power, and it can do whatever it desires."

"Oh no, I hope it doesn't destroy the world!"

Mauve looked towards the group. "Hey that's a great idea," and then they shot off into the atmosphere.

Everyone glanced at Amy. "What, I didn't know it could hear me?"

"It doesn't matter that you might have given it the idea to destroy the world…"

"Yes it does…"

"Shush Shadow. Our main priority is that we need to remove the source of power from Mauve, which are the Chaos Emeralds."

"But Sonic, how would we ever get them back. Mauve is already in space by now," asked Tails.

A portal opened up out of nowhere.
"Oh, you can have these rocks back." Seven colorless emeralds were dumped out, and the portal closed.

Sonic smirked at the group. "Well, looks like we won't need to worry about getting the emeralds."

Sonic, now in his powerful Super form, shot up into the air, reaching the speed of at least Mach 30. Within a minute, Sonic had escaped the atmosphere.

He quickly found Mauve, charging up a large ball of energy that would destroy the entire planet if unleashed.

Sonic quickly thought about if he should use force or just have a conversation with the creature. Mauve had no idea about what they were doing with unlimited power.

"Hey buddy, we need to talk."
