At the base of The Green Light, the members were all seated around a table, having some food or drinks. "To The Green Light!" Karlof said, raising his cup as Dareth passed by, carrying a tray of cakes. "May it never quit!"

"We believe in the The Green Light, because The Green Light never quits!" They all shout out, raising their cups.

"Boy, must've been awesome to be there." Dareth said as Shade took one, but they don't hear him. "I wish I could've-"

"It was great!" Nya said. "We couldn't have planned it better!"

"The whole city heard the broadcast." Skylor said as Nya, Blake and Patrice each take a cake from the ignored Dareth as frowns.

"I'll toast to that!" Paleman replied before sipping his drink.

"But hats off to Lloyd." Spider said. "Without his words, and his leadership... let's just say hope is a powerful thing." He takes a cake from Dareth, who was still frowning from being ignored.

"My boy." Misako said, smiling at him.

"Yep." Dareth said, placing the tray down next to him. "Loyalty is pretty powerful. Let's not forget the little people."

"This is just the start." Lloyd said, having ignored Dareth. "I couldn't have done it without your power and your help. We have to show we're more than words. Now we fight. And I'm not gonna lie to you. We need an army. Has anyone heard from the Master of Form?"

"I think, uh, how do you say?" Karlof prepared to answer. "She is 'bad girl' now."

"What about Bolobo?" Maggie asked.

"Ultra Violet hunted down the Master of Nature early on." Powder replied.

"Ah, maybe it's time the Brown Ninja-" Dareth soon cut off as he was still being ignored.

"What about the Serpentine?" Blake asked.

"After seeing how the Time Twins abused those snakes, they said they wanna sit this one out." Griffin replied, grabbing a cake from the tray.

"Well, as much as I don't like them, what about the Brown Jacket Gang?" Nya asked.

"They disbanded when their second-in-command and half its members joined the Sons of Garmadon." Caine replied, eating a cake he had in his hand.

"So that's why Barry was in the Sons of Garmadon."

"All that are left are just fending for themselves."

"Okay, let's start brainstorming a list on who else can help." Lloyd said.

"I can help." Dareth replied.

"That would be great. Can you get us a blackboard and some refills? This could take some time."

This got Dareth really annoyed at being almost treated like a servant to them. "Yeah, okay, right, sure. I'll get over-" He started walking away, muttering. "Yeah. Sure, office supplies."

In the office upstairs, Mistaké was busy preparing to make some tea when Dareth soon came in. "Hey."

"Dareth, what do you want?" She asked.

"Can't a guy just say hey without wanting something?" He tries to lie.

"Dareth." Mistaké wasn't fooled.

"Okay, okay. Here's the thing. Everyone else has some kind of power. They can control metal, or water, or wind, or they can turn invisible, or even into dust. The only thing cool about me is my chest hair."

"Why are you telling me this?"

"Well, I was thinking, maybe there's a tea you can give me? To give me a power of my own?"

Mistaké tries to think of what to say before doing so. "No."

"Oh, you gotta have something. A potion, a spell, anything. I'd do anything."

"Anything?" She soon giggles.

At Oni's throne atop of Borg Tower, Ultra Violet, Seymour and Killow look at Oni, who glares at Scars, who knelt before him. "When you're assigned a task, you do it, without exceptions." Oni said. "Be thankful I am not going to punish you for it, or giving away supplies to traitors."

"Yes, my Emperor." He replied. "It won't happen again."

"Now, tell me why you were not at your post when I saw you?"

Scars then stood up. "Well..."

Harumi soon emerges from the stairwell and approaches Oni, who was sitting on his throne, and kneels before him while Ultra Violet, Seymour and Killow gloweringly watch her and Scars backed away. "You warned me, my Emperor, that your son would be close, and I could not protect you." She said.

"No." Oni replied. "You did not."

"It's because of you that they got the message out!" Ultra Violet yelled, accusingly pointing a finger at her, causing her to look away, sulking.

"Enough!" Oni's outburst scares Ultra Violet into making her become silent. "Was I not clear what would happen if your machine should fail me?" He soon stood up.

"You were more than clear, my Emperor." Harumi said. "I offer no excuses."

Upon hearing her say it, Scars knew what would happen. "Then I will offer you a swift consequence." He prepared to raise an arm.

"Wait!" Scars spoke up as Oni turned to see him come between him and Harumi, showing little to no fear, confusing Seymour and Killow, who surprisingly didn't stop him from stepping forward, not even Ultra Violet, who didn't even bother at all. "Harumi had nothing to do with it, mate. It was me. I've been a bit of a bludger. I was supposed to be patrolling the hallway, but Seymour wouldn't guard the prisoner, so she patrolled alone while I went to do some reconnaissance, trying to find your son instead of watching Geoff." He lies about his last reason.

"You're such a tattletale!" Seymour yelled.

"Silence!" Oni yelled, making him flinch. "Scars, is this true? Seymour neglected his duty, and you went on an unauthorised recon mission?"

"Yes, Emperor." Scars replied. "And the recon was a failure."

"He told me about Seymour neglecting his duty, too." Ultra Violet said, glaring at Seymour before pointing out to him. "If you had obeyed Scars, we would have already had them by now!"

"Enough!" Oni yelled before glaring at Scars, who was still showing no fear before he turned to a bewildered Harumi. "You got lucky, Harumi." He then looked at Seymour. "You shouldn't have been thinking about your personal grudge against your brother's killer." He then held his top right hand out, glowing with Destruction, and Seymour soon floats in the air, hands on his neck as he struggled to breath, shocking Scars, Killow and Ultra Violet. "And this will be a swift consequence."

"Please." Harumi said as she watched Seymour being choked. "I released you."

"If you thought your honour would win a special place in my heart, you are mistaken. I have no heart."

"But, my Emperor, what will stop them from organising another attack?"

He briefly laughs. "Not you, my Princess. Or even him."

Seymour kept on trying to struggle from being choked as Scars, Killow and Ultra Violet look at each other in concern. "Wait! Give him a second chance. He may have disobeyed a direct order, but we still need him, because I know where they are! I have seen their hideout."

Oni soon lowered his hand, allowing Seymour to drop to the ground as Harumi came up to Seymour, who coughs from being choked before Oni grabs Harumi while Killow and Ultra Violet come up to Seymour to try and comfort him as he breathes heavily to get his breath back. "Where?"

"The garbage depot. They are using the trucks to blend in. I have seen it with my very eyes."

"Very well." Oni lets Harumi go and looks at Seymour as he was slowly getting up, looking very frightened. "I will give you one more chance, Seymour. Don't disobey a general again."

Seymour bows out of shock. "Yes, Emperor." He said.

Oni then turned to Scars. "As for you, since you couldn't force him to do his assignment, and you went to find my son without my consent, I give this to you, as a warning... mate. To remind the others of what I mean." He holds his hand out again, lifting Scars in the air before moving a finger back. Everyone looked on in shock as Scars' left arm moved out on its own before the hand is immediately torn off, like paper, and lands on the ground between Oni and Ultra Violet, causing him to scream before he was let go, lands on the ground, and looked at his bleeding stump with complete shock as blood was still coming out, and Harumi, Seymour, Killow and Ultra Violet look on. Killow looked away, completely shocked while Ultra Violet had a hand over her mouth. Oni then turned back to Harumi. "Now, show me this garbage depot." Oni walks away, stepping on the severed hand as he did so while Scars discreetly glared at the Emperor who mutilated him, and Ultra Violet, Seymour and Killow kneel down to him, concerned about him.

"Scars, I'm sorry." Seymour said, but he ignores him.

"****!" Scars silently whimpered as he looked at the bleeding stump.

At the base of The Green Light, in the office, Dareth watches as Mistaké brews something, getting him very excited with every ingredient she added. "Ooh." He simply said as the brew soon emitted purple steam, and Mistaké looks at it before coughing from inhaling the steam until she adds something that eventually turns it orange. "Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah." He silently whispered to himself as Mistaké soon started to grunt. "Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah." He was soon confused at something before noticing that she was bringing a big jug over to him.

"Drink the potion." She said.

Dareth looks at it, most notably seeing his reflection. "Oh, it's so, ah, big." He lightly huffed. "I have to drink it..." He gulps. "...all?"

"You want your own power or not?"

"Right. Okay. Heh, good thing I'm thirsty. Uh, this stays between us, right?"

"Of course."

The door soon opened, and Maggie comes in. "Dareth, aren't you gonna get us those drinks instead of just being a slack-?" She cut herself off when she saw the jug, Dareth's shocked face, and Mistaké glaring at her for her intrusion. A little shocked at first, she simply turned away. "I'll come back." She walks out, moving backwards, and closes the door.

"Her, I'm not so sure about."

Dareth lightly chuckles. "Here goes." He said before moving his head down to dunk his lips into the potion for a taste test before moving back while groaning and blubbering in disgust. "You didn't put any thought into the taste?" Mistaké just motioned her hand as it she was drinking a cup. "Alright." He puts his head back in to resume drinking it before moving it back, and then moves it back down.

8 Years Earlier

A teenaged Geoff walks along the Sea of Sand as he was near Ninjago City before he sees someone coming up to him. It was Dragon Wu. "Hello there." He said as he passed by.

"You're Dragon Wu, aren't you?" Geoff asked, making Dragon stop.

"How do you know my name?"

"A mutual friend told me to give this to you." He holds out an envelope and he takes it. "It's not a fan letter. Just someone's ending. See you around." He starts to walk away.

"You know, young man, most endings only lead to new beginnings. Maybe this is the new beginning of someone like you. Remember that." Dragon resumes walking as Geoff stopped to think about the words.

Present

Geoff was still in the chair in the office in Borg Tower as Barry was now watching over him. "I can't believe I have to babysit this guy." He said to himself. "Why couldn't Seymour have done it?"

Out in the hallway, Scars walks along it while holding his shotgun in his right hand, and having a bandage wrapped around his stump.

When The Green Light broke in to use the broadcasting studio, the Sons of Garmadon brought in a doctor from Kryptarium Prison, and threatened to kill him if he didn't help with their injuries. Once he did so, they were about to take him back when Scars was brought in for the doctor to cauterise and suture the stump. After the doctor did so, Scars thanked him with honesty since the other members didn't.

Scars soon came across the door to the room, and heads in.

Barry turns to him, and was completely shocked to see that Scars no longer had his left hand. "Harumi wants the prisoner, mate." He simply said, ignoring his facial expression.

Several minutes later, Scars guides Geoff, whose Vengestone cuffs are in front, along the hallway with a sword at his back before lowering it. "Turn right." Geoff moves to the left. "No, your other right." Scars guides him in the opposite direction.

"What are you doing, Scars?" Geoff asked as they head into a room.

Scars looks out in the hallway before closing the door, and looks at Geoff. "If it weren't for Mr. E, I wouldn't have been pulled out of the gutter. Listen, they know where your mates' base is, they saw the garbage trucks. Besides, I trust Lloyd's words. And I owe you for saving my life back in Primeval's Eye."

"Why should I trust you?"

"You don't have to. I'm leaving the Sons of Garmadon, mate, with you. I got nothing on me, except a sword and a gun. This is the last time I come a gutser."

Geoff looked away a little, trying to decide if Scars deserves his help before sighing and nods. "Then, we'll leave together at the right moment. But don't remove the Vengestone, you must keep up the charade that I'm your prisoner."

"That was what I was also thinking."

Several minutes later, Scars and Geoff move along the hallway as some members look at them, but pass by. "Keep calm, keep calm." Scars silently muttered.

"I am calm."

"I'm talking to myself, mate."

Seymour heads over to him. "Scars, please hear me out." He said, but Scars forced Geoff to pass him by. They soon came up to Harumi, as she was still trying to recover from when she saw Oni tear Scars' hand off.

"Ready to see your friends?" Harumi asked Geoff, half-sarcastic.

"Oh sure, make fun of the blind man." Geoff replied, sarcastically before she forces him to move on.

"You sure you want to do this? You just lost your hand."

"I can always get a substitute." Scars said, but she doesn't notice that he wasn't in the mood or accepting guilt from others.

(A/N: If you end up with nightmares and/or a wet bed tonight after reading Scars' gory loss of his hand, I apologise)
