Disclaimer: I own nothing. Everything is owned by Henson, Bowie, etc. I wish I could own part of Jareth but alas it is not to be.

A/N: I have really enjoyed the comments that I had from those who read the last chapter. Yes poor Jareth he is not a happy camper at this point. It seems that even though he has the sympathy of some that have read this he is still less than thrilled with me and His Majesty has made his displeasure known. Rest assured he has gotten some revenge, that is why he is only less than thrilled. Thank you for everyone who has made comments and has let me know what they think of the story so far. I do read and try to respond to each one. I have enjoyed writing this a lot, but I am still quite new to it and have a lot of room for improvement. I appreciate any suggestions they do help me. If you have not sent me your thoughts please do.

This is a short chapter (Sorry about that). It is just how it kind of came out. It starts with the aftermath of the coitus interuptus by the wisher. I admit I really got a perverse thrill with that particular cockblock. Well her is Chapter 8, enjoy, and as always please review if you are able!

Sarah just stared at him her hands frozen in the motion of removing his pants. "You're joking." She said removing her hands as he sat up.

"Precious if I ever would joke about something that stops me in the middle of worshipping your beautiful, delectable body before either of us can find our release then you have my permission to drive an iron dagger into my chest, because I have obviously have been driven insane and would no longer want to live." As he finished his impassioned speech he winced again.

"I must go Precious." Jareth looked down at her nearly nude body laid out on the sofa before him, as he stood and groaned. Jareth quickly pulled up his pants and found his shirt once again cursing the magic block this place held.

Sarah stated to rise and Jareth stopped her. "Don't Love. As uncomfortable as it is making me right now, that is exactly how I want to remember you tonight." The look in his eyes made her shiver.

Jareth finished buttoning up his shirt, and turned to the door. "Think of me tonight Precious, because know that my thoughts will be on nothing but you." She heard rather than saw the door close, and he was gone.

Sarah sat up and shivered. She pulled on her dress and walked into the bedroom. She undressed and went into the bathroom and started the shower running cold water. She stepped inside and shivered, but her over heated skin began to cool. She leaned her head against the tiles of the shower.

How did it come to this she thought. She had it planned all of her reserve, wanting to be careful, keep him at arm's length, and every time I'm alone with him I'm wet and ready to screw him. Because this is why you blocked him from finding you in the first place, when he is alone with you, you cannot control your hormones.

Once the cold shower took care of her raging libido enough that she could think she exited the shower, dried off, and put her pajamas and robe on. She could use a stiff drink or two at the bar downstairs, but honestly she did not want to see anyone. Instead she padded into the kitchen opened up her freezer and took out the bottle of vodka she kept there. She took out a can of pineapple juice. Mixing them in a glass she took it into the living room. She avoided the couch. Hell she couldn't even bring herself to look at it. The smell of desire still hung in the air.

Sarah took a large swallow of her pineapple screwdriver, and closed her eyes. How did everything change so quickly? Just a week ago she was happily running her bar and club, worrying about schedules and dodging calls from her stepmother about finding someone to settle down with before her biological clock quits for good. Now she is dating her fae ex fiancé, and can't seem to keep her clothes on around him, and her bar is a fae bar. What the actual fuck is with her life?

She went from taking swallows of the drink to sipping it. Ok she said to herself I need to figure out what is going on between me and the Goblin King. They had both seemed to grow up during their time apart. He was considerate and charming, but is it because they were in the honeymoon phase and he just wants her back. Right now things seemed perfect, but she knew that this could easily change.

She did not want to rush into anything with him and then have it go back to the way they were. They would end up hating each other a lot like what happened with her parents. She didn't want that to happen to them. She didn't want to hate him, she didn't want him to hate or resent her. That's why she originally broke things off.

The questions she needed to answer are twofold. First: How did she feel about him? Second: Did she even see them having a life together, or was this just a dating kind of thing with no future? Sarah was amazed how easily she was able to answer the first question, How did she feel? She still loved him. She wouldn't lie to herself. Now would she let him know, that was less clear. Could she see a future with the Goblin King? That was harder. If he wasn't going to get condescending, and treat her like a partner and not just one of his subjects then yes, but she couldn't live her life, especially if she agreed to an immortal one, with that kind of relationship.

She did love the Underground. She missed her friends there, and always felt at home when she spent time there. How would the Underground feel about her. Would they welcome back the girl that ran when things got hard? Well she didn't even know if this, whatever this was between her and Jareth, would get to the point where she would want to go back Underground. Well, she would cross that bridge when she came to it.

Now that she had figured out her answers to these questions, the next thing would be to get Jareth's thoughts on them. Did she want to bring this up to him now, or should she wait and see how things progress. His answers may come to light through their weekly "dates". To be honest with herself, she wanted to figure this out soon, She wasn't a teenager or in her twenties anymore, now in her forties she didn't have time to waste on games.

Sarah felt better after thinking through the whole Jareth situation. She at least knew where she, and her heart, were and where she, at least, saw this whole thing going. I'll see what the next meeting with his Majesty will bring. Sarah thought as she put the glass in the sink, and walked into the bedroom. I can't do anything until we talk anyway; she thought as she lay down and fell into sleep.

The next day Sarah opened Sanctuary and found herself working behind the bar again. While there were a small group of regulars that came in early, the place stayed mostly empty until later in the evening. It just made sense to have less staff when she was perfectly capable to do whatever needed doing, backing up any of the staff until the evening shift came in. She enjoyed bartending, she got to interact with the patrons, but happy for the bar as more than just a physical boundary.

Sarah had just taken the drink order from Mike one of the regulars that would stop by for a drink on his way home. He had complained about needing a haircut and Sarah had playfully leaned over to run her hand playfully over his slightly shaggy brown mop. He playfully knocked her hand away, and she turned to check the rest of the bar, seeing someone sit down out of the corner of her eye. She was surprised to see Jareth sitting on the stool looking at her.

"Jareth" She said with a smile moving to stand in front of where he was sitting. "I didn't expect to see you in here, not that I'm complaining."

"I gathered that." He said coolly. "Tell me precious am I disrupting something?" He raised an eyebrow at her.

"No." she said confused. "I mean I need to help hold down the fort for the next couple of hours until the bulk of the shift comes in. It's never busy this early, so I like helping out and running a smaller crew early." She explained still not knowing what he was getting at. "You want something?"

"What I want from behind this particular bar, I'm not sure wants me." He said flatly.

"What are you getting at Jareth? You are making less sense than usual. I didn't sleep as very well last night, so you're going to have to spell it out for me." She said looking pointedly at him.

"Trust me Precious my evening was not restful either." Jareth continued to sound cool and detached. "Here I came her hoping to continue our interrupted date, to see you already have someone's attention."

"For the love of…Really Jareth? Mike? You are jealous because I was taking and joking with Mike?" Sarah threw her hands up in frustration. "Nick I'm abandoning you for a few minutes, I'll be back in a bit." She called over her shoulder to the other bartender.

"No problem boss lady." He said in reply. "I can take care of the whole three people that are at the bar right now. Take your time." He said with a hint of sarcasm.

Sarah worked her way around the bar, and walked over to where Jareth was sitting. "Alright, get up. I don't want to have this conversation upstairs or in here, so we are going outside. Move." Sarah used her no nonsense voice, the one that the staff called her "boss lady" voice.

Jareth considered several responses but in the end decided to follow her out the door into the street. She led him to the side of the building where there would be no foot traffic and they had a modicum of privacy. Sarah then whirled on him green eyes flashing.

"What is wrong with you your Majesty." She spit out. "Mike is a regular. I was joking with him about his hair. Damn it Jareth I wasn't even flirting. Which honestly I do sometimes, especially when I am tending bar, it is expected." She was fuming.

"It is not appropriate for someone courting a king to be giving such attentions to another. I thought you would be aware of that Sarah." Jareth said not giving her ire any heed.

"Listen here you glittery male chauvinist." Sarah was on a roll now. "We are not betrothed or engaged we are dating, whatever you want to call it. You don't have any say on how I do my job. I wasn't rubbing up against him, flashing him, or even saying something suggestive to him. I messed with his hair much the same way I would my dad or Toby to tease them. You have no right to get jealous just because I am…"

Jareth cut her off mid tirade by grabbing both sides of her face, and lifting her mouth to meet his own. Her words died as his lips covered hers. Jareth used the fact that her mouth was partially open, since she was yelling at him, to slide his tongue into her mouth.

For a moment Sarah's brain seemed to short circuit. She had no idea what she was saying. The anger she was feeling seemed to flow out of her as Jareth's tongue did some wickedly wonderful things inside her mouth. Then she was responding kissing him with the same hunger.

Jareth was the one to break the kiss. He looked down on her unfocused lust filled eyes. Her red slightly swollen lips were still slightly parted, her breathing heavy. He kept his hands on either side of her face, but lighted his touch.

"What was I saying?" Sarah asked still slightly unfocused.

Jareth chuckled. Pleased with the effect he had on her with just one kiss. "You were letting me know in no uncertain terms that I need to no jump to conclusions when it comes to you." He said.

"This was my way of telling you that I will endeavor not to be so jealous every time you interact with another man." He continued. "It will be very difficult for me Precious. Especially when I see those that are looking at you, knowing that they are wanting you."

"Oh stop. Just because someone talks to me and is friendly doesn't mean it means anything. I've tended bar for a while now. It's part of the act. They know that." Sarah retorted.

"That may be true Sarah love. But that does not mean that they do not want you. I see the way that they look at you, it is the same way that I look at you. And I want you Sarah desperately." He gave that confession with a growl.

"Ok we have some talking to do. Talking." Sarah stressed the word. "I am needed here for at least three hours. How about I take you to a quick late bite and we can take a walk by the pier. You can either hang out here, or you can come back then." She looked up at him.

"Alright love. I will go and come back. I don't think I would be very patient waiting for you." He picked up her hand and kissed her knuckles.

Then Jareth led her back to the doors of Sanctuary. Before Sarah walked in through the doors she turned and pulled Jareth down for a quick, but not very chaste kiss.

"See you in a few hours." Sarah said and then she was gone. Leaving Jareth to stare after her.
