Lost sense of purpose
Chapter Eight
Thinking about answering the question by Doctor Confalone was a hard one. Gibbs had been quiet for a few moments before finally deciding to go with his words. "I no longer have a family doc. Marcie has filed for divorce that will be taking an effort within the next month. Currently, she had been staying with her sister Elizbeth until she's able to find a place to live."
"What is she going to be for money in spite of the fact she is working at home for NCIS doing work for Director Vance?" she needed to ask with the importance and his expression of sadness on his face.
"She had the money from when she won at the casinos every time we had gone as with myself. She doesn't have to worry about her first husband's insurance, she is currently involved as well for the Evergreen safe house. However, once the divorce takes effort she will be getting alimony from me as with child support." he commented.
"I am truly sorry Gibs this had to happen. But it was bound to happen lately with Marcie having to be always pissed off at you for your stupid mistakes and obsession," she said in order to tell him the complete truth.
"I know this now Doctor. But now it's too late to make it up to her after this latest injury I suffered on the undercover operation onboard the U.S.S. Horatio." he said.
"Maybe someday Leroy Jethro Gibbs you're able to get it into your head that family and loved ones are more important than work?" she suggested seeing his head shaking.
"I know. I have been told a number of times over the years by Doctor Mallard and others. I am just sorry that I had to lose someone that I was in love with deep inside and out and I feel guilty for having to screw that up. I will just have to struggle to put my life back together and try working without thinking too much of my past and latest pain and suffering." he cried out.
"Do you think that you're going to be able to do that Gibbs start over? I know this is not an easy thing to do after losing your wife and two boys along with a third on the way."
"Please don't remind me and I was the one that wanted to have a fourth and final child to be selfish with Marcie fighting me on the subject with ending it with just a third."
"What's the big deal Gibbs about having a first child?" this was a question having to be interesting nevertheless to answer.
"Maybe it has to be that I was an only child?" Gibbs exclaimed with sadness having to be thinking about his mother having breast and killing herself with help from L.J. Moore.
"I came from a large family with everyone having to be scattered all over the United States. My mother and father both died ten years ago in an automobile accident head-on with another vehicle during a rainstorm and my father was blinded by the lights and wasn't able to move quickly enough to have them both be killed in the process." she will say with extreme emotion.
"I am truly sorry. My mother killed herself due to her breath cancer and my father from a stroke. I loved my mother a great deal and I wasn't able to tell her until it was too late. The same goes for my father Doc. How I need to make amends now after leaving Stillwater when I was young."
"And maybe why you were having all of those failed marriages and relationships? But now it's going to happen again with the best woman Marcie?" she will say to see the sadness on his face laying back his head.
"Doc is there I can do in order to get over this?" he asks with concern and for his own mental state.
"Time is what you're going to need. Unless you go out of the way with a plan in order to get Loriele back into your life?"
"How am I supposed to do that Doctor?" Gibbs had to ask not having a clue as to how to get back the woman he loves a great deal.
"Get out of here first and then go after her and take her somewhere special with leaving the boys with the nanny and her sister Elizabeth for a week," she said to him with Gibbs thinking about it.
He had a lot to think about after the doctor leaves. Getting out of here was the key. Even though he wasn't exactly in the best of shape to leave. Though he needed to speak with his wife without killing each other.
"I know where she is at Doctor, while she had placed Shane and Nathan with her sister Elizabeth."
"Okay, Gibbs I will leave it up to you to clear up your problems Jethro?" She had gotten up with ending the session and with packing up her things. "Good luck," she said to him.
"Thanks." While he smirks at the idea that everyone was thinking the same thing about their divorce. Along with the local Cartel as well.
He watched her leave by picking up his cell phone...
Arizona Tombstone safe house
Marcie had been outside in the dry heat exercising. Even though she was in her eighth month of pregnancy and she wasn't able to do all of the exercises with her trainer. She walked back into her quarters to sit down feeling lonely.
She had been waiting for her husband to call. Then all of a sudden the cell started to vibrate. She jumped when she saw it was her husband Jethro.
"Jethro how are you?" she had to ask.
"Doctor Grace Confalone was just here and was believing everything I was saying. Along with everyone else Marcie. I miss you, a great deal. I am hoping this is going to be over soon while I am able to live a life once again." he cries out over the phone.
"I know the feeling Jethro. By the way, the boys are adjusting well being away from their parents. I just can't take the chance that the local Cartel will be catching on to the farce?" she responded with putting her feet up on the table.
