Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Mask of the dragon. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Avatar, Nick, Michael Dante DiMartino, and Bryan Konietzko do.
(Fire Nation Royal Barge)
Azula was quite curious when it came down to it. There were various factors to consider. She was quite unused to warfare. Her uncle was, and her uncle wasn't here.
"How long until we arrive?" Azula questioned one of her crew. "We need to make sure this was undetected." Azula asked while her fingers tingled with energy.
Azula needed to have the craft move on. They couldn't stay, she needed to make sure that her father hadn't found out.
The farther she got away from here? The better. She couldn't stay, Ozai needed to be stopped… He'd burn the entire planet down if given enough time and effort.
Still? Whatever plans he'd come up? She would out plot him; he was far stronger then her. There was no way that she could defeat him in an Agni Kai. She'd be torn apart and Ozai would use it as an example to enforce his will.
Azula had seen her brother hurt and isolated. Azula didn't want there to be a rift between her and her sibling. She didn't want him to think her a monster. She knew Iroh didn't, and she was glad that she didn't consider her such.
But it would be a long time before she knew her and Zuko were on solid ground. She was glad her mother wasn't here, Ozai's wrath was far more then she should have done.
"Yes, princess." One of the crew stated which caused her to turn and look to the side. "We're be ready for departure in an hour." The crewmate pointed out.
Azula nodded and sat on a supply crate. She'd have to meet up with Sachi sooner or later. He'd keep her updated on things when she arrived, but it was quite terrifying in her mind to have to deal with field work.
"Ok, keep me informed and keep things quiet." Azula stated to the rest of her crew and then cracked her fingers.
Azula knew for a fact that her training was ready. She couldn't spend time staying here, she couldn't make sure that things were done.
"Hmm..." Azula thought to herself when it came back to what happened.
She knew that her father would come after her and Sachi. There would be no dealing with him. His armies were a much different case when it came down to it.
They could be beaten, Azula had planning to deal with them. They weren't the monsters her father was. They were simply people handling duties, they could be beaten. They could be contained and they would be dealt with. Azula made sure not to judge them for their actions when it came down to it.
"There's so many blasted factors to deal with." Azula muttered to herself while she thought to herself as she hummed.
She ran a finger across her forehead. There was far much at stake in this game. There were things that she could do to tip it in her favor.
"Any new letters or Messengers hawks?" Azula questioned and got a shake of the head from one of her crew.
Azula sighed and started to look around. There had to be more supplies when it arrived at that. Azula knew that Sachi was doing as best as he could. There would be time for a talk when she arrived down by his location.
Azula questioned if Mai was ok. She hadn't heard from Ty Lee or Mai in years. Azula enjoyed her time with the duo, she enjoyed their company and comforting words.
"We need to check on things sooner or later… Please hurry." Azula stated which caused her crew to start moving slightly faster.
Azula shook her head. She urged her crew faster. She wouldn't scare her people away. They wouldn't be ruled through fear like her father did.
"There will be no escape for you, father." Azula stated to herself as she started to climb onto another level of the boat.
Part of Azula preferred the ship to deal with her father. She liked the sea. Whatever put distance between her and her father? The best she could hope for.
There was so many plans she had to deal with. So many directions that she could be pulled in. Those concerns bothered her, but they could handle when it came down to it.
Azula didn't want to point fingers at people. She didn't want to cause a burden on her shoulders. But there's far more to focus on. She had to be ready when it came to hunting people and allies.
"There has to be more to hunt down. "Azula muttered to herself and crossed her arms.
Yes, that would be the ticket in her mind. There was a roadtrip to get on.
Azula could hardly wait for something to fight. Her thoughts wanted to be free.
