(Gwen Stacy/Ghost-Spider)
The wailing sirens pierce the night as flashing red and blue lights shone from every corner. Gwen yawned as the police surrounded the museum while Spider-Man started giving information to the police officer.
This whole scene seems so familiar to Gwen. Taking in her surroundings, she felt as if the past has pulled her back. The moment she closed her eyes, she saw a crowd of people yelling and booing at her while police officers were surrounding her.
A gentle shake startled Gwen out of her thoughts. She opened her eyes. It was Spider-Man. "You okay?" He asked, a hint of worry in his voice.
"Yea, I'm ok." Gwen responded.
Just then, several vans pulled over and people who were decently dressed with cameras in their hands flooded out and surrounded the museum.
They managed to pushed past some of the officers and started clicking their cameras away. Gwen backed away into the shadows, hiding behind the museum's entrance pillar. This was the last thing she needs. Getting the whole city to know she exists.
"Spider-Man! Who's your new partner?" A news reporter asked as she squeezed through the mob of people.
"Err... Well... well she claims to be a hero called 'Ghost-Spider'." Spider-Man replied. Gwen facepalm and sighed as she angrily shot a web at Spider-Man, pulling him in.
But with her uprising anger, she pulled too hard, causing him to smash against her chest, their faces only inches away.
Gwen immediately realised her mistake but decided to quickly brushed it off. "Why did you tell them?"
"Wh-what?"
"The last thing I need is the whole world knowing who I am and where I live." Gwen growled.
Spider-Man frowned. "What's wrong with that? It's fine as long they don't know your real identity."
Fear gripped Gwen's heart as she knew what would happen if news about her gets spread out. In no time, Draven and his minions will find her. She knew they were in this world.
"Ghost-Spider? Are you sure you're okay?" Spider-Man's voice jolted her out of her thoughts.
"Yea, I'm... perfectly fine." Gwen responded as she turned heel and swung away into the dark night.
Author's note: Hey guys. Sorry for the real long delay. Don't ask me why but school has been giving out so many exams. So I will update this once a week. I might be able to update daily as soon as exams are over or during the holidays in June.
