The talk of he-who-shall-not-be-named rattled Amelia. She knew of the dark wizard but she was being naïve thinking there would be a man who could gain a big, dark following who woke up and chose violence. That was really naïve of her to think that considering her grandfather battled against someone like he-who-shall-not-be-named. It's been weeks since the meeting of the Order. She had time to think of the situation happening in the wizarding world, man even the muggle world. The muggles don't think much other than it's a terrorist group. A terrorist group who can simply whisper a pair of words and you drop dead.

Her parents and grandparents sat her down once everyone left to talk with her all those weeks ago.

Amelia sat at the middle of the table whereas her grandparents sat at the heads. Her parents were across from her. Her father, Charles, rubbed his temple with his index and middle finger. Newt was the first to talk, "My little Niffler, I knew you and your friends-."

"They're classmates, nothing more," Amelia wanted to make sure her grandfather knew they weren't on a friend level. She couldn't place herself among their ranks. Sure, she was helping the young werewolf. 'Course her owl and one of theirs had owlets but it hardly means they are on that level.

The head of the Scamander family raised an eyebrow before continuing, "Alright, well you and your classmates I knew you wouldn't stay away from an unknown gathering. You're too curious. Too curious for your own good sometimes. I'm sure you've heard about the impending war."

Amelia's parents were staring her down waiting for her reaction. Charles started," I don't-."

At the same time as her father, Amelia piped up, "It's-."

Amelia looked over at her father. The two made eye contact. Amelia sat up straight. She took in a deep breath," It's not a secret that the man is gathering forces. It's not a secret there would be a war between his force and all those who believe in what is right. Students whisper about it at school when professors aren't around. I think I would like to join the Order after some thought. There are unsuspecting muggles who are at risk. Everyone should be able to live peacefully and together."

Joyce, Amelia's mother, had her hand covering her mouth in thought till now, "Some thought? We just talked about it a few hours ago. You, little miss, snuck around and listened in. That is such a short amount of time from then to now to put some thought into it."

Amelia crossed her arms," Mam, I'm not a child anymore. I am of age to practice magic at home. Ever'one may think at Hogwarts we are oblivious on what's goin' on. There's whispers on the castle grounds. Students, young or older, are already bandin' and stayin' close to those who picked their sides of this war. For adults, yer're not keepin' this away as a secret very well to protect children. I was wantin' to ignore the whispers and the obvious groups. And if I recall durin' the meetin', da ye said if I wanted to join then you'll be okay wit' it."

Her parents didn't look happy but they also didn't pipe up their opinions or take back what they said. Newt cleared his throat, "Well this discussion now closed, I think we all should turn in for the night."

He stood up stretching his old bones and muscles. Newt held out an arm for his granddaughter to come towards, "Come my little Hungarian Horntail."

Amelia blinked at the new nickname. He never once referred her to a dragon especially a dragon as dangerous. Amelia pushed back her chair looking at the occupants of the table, "Good night."

The only good night she got was from her grandmother. Amelia gave a small smile to Tina who gave a reassuring one back. The soon to be 7th year bounded to her grandfather's side. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders guiding her where she thought to her room but it was to the farm house. Before they left the house' interior, Amelia could hear her father's frustrated voice towards her grandmother. Last she heard was her grandmother scolding him.

Amelia's eyes stayed glued to the ground but they perked up when she felt a reassuring squeeze coming from her grandfather. She glanced over at him. Newt gave her a smile then a wink, "They'll come around. Don't you worry. Now let's go watch the stars with the moon calves. I'm sure they're wanting to have some company."

Amelia's lips went into a small smile. She leaned her head on her grandfather's shoulder taking a deep breath, "That sounds nice, grandda."

"Mia! Earth to Mia!"

Amelia's mind and thoughts came back to reality. She blinked at the new found comer. Amelia still had her spoon in her mouth that once had delicious chocolate and raspberry ice cream. A 'pop' came from her removing the spoon, "Ah Tilly. I'm sorry I didn't see you there."

Matilda's lips went into a pout, "Of course not, I thought you were oogling Black for a moment but that didn't seem to be the case."

Amelia's brows knitted together, "Black?"

Tilly leaned to the side thrusting her thumb behind her. Amelia could see through the window the Marauders teasing each other. Black was in the specific window, pretty clearly but the others bounced in and out of the window frame. Her lips turned into a frown. She wondered how they can be so carefree after getting the news they did a few weeks ago. After the talk with her family, her parents left the morning after. They weren't able to reconcile or have an understanding. Her grandparents tried to reassure her. Tilly snapped her fingers in Amelia's general direction, "Amelia~ You're doing it again. Are you okay?"

Amelia shook her head pushing her ice cream away from her. Amelia nodded, "Yes, why wouldn't I be?"

Matilda didn't seem to buy it but decided to not push. She won't push unless it's completely consistent. Matilda reached for the forgotten ice cream and used a spoon she accio-ed. She asked the Hufflepuff, "How's your summer?"

Amelia shrugged, "Just like normal. My parents came to visit but had to leave short notice."

The auburn haired girl thought it wouldn't be wise to mention the Order coming to her home. Never know who would be listening. She trusted Matilda with her life but with one quick glance around Florean's she can never be too safe. Maltida groaned, "You always have the best summers with your creatures. My parents tried setting me up with Avery. The little weasel is incompetent and a jerk. Mulciber and him are always together. I do not want to date, marry or even think about..."

Her words trailed off as she shuddered. Amelia had the idea though. The Hufflepuff bit her bottom lip, "I nearly forgot Slytherins are more about the purity of blood and try to marry off to another pure-blood."

Matilda popped a small spoonful into her mouth. Amelia asked, "Are you able to get out of it?"

Tilly snorted licking her spoon, "I punched the weasel in his nose for trying to cope a feel. He bled everywhere and whined about how his nose pulsated."

The Slytherin shrugged ,"Father was pretty upset with me saying if I were to marry into a pure-blood family I need to be obedient. Look how much that worked out. Avery ran with his tail tucked in between his legs claiming I'm too savage. Whatever the bloody hell that means."

Amelia couldn't help but snort. She smiled at her best friend, "Don't change, Tilly."

Matilda winked, "Of course not."

The girl waved her spoon in the air, "Are you ready for the great real world after Hogwarts?"

The thought of impending war and Voldemort came crashing to Amelia's forefront. Matilda noticed the change of demeanor of her friend. She decided to put a tab on it to ask at another time. Amelia gave her friend a fake smile, "As ready as can be. I hope to land a Magical Creature medical ward opportunity or at least work in a Herbology department."

It took the Slytherin a moment before she had to react normally. The fake smile took her by surprise. Matilda rolled her eyes, "Like it's a long shot. You have O's in those particular studies. You'll be fine. They'll be crazy if they didn't have you on their teams."

This time, Amelia gave her friend a small real smile. Amelia asked, "What about you?"

Matilda placed her cheek over her fisted hand. She stabbed what's left of the melting ice cream, "I want to become an Auror. I decided as such during the end of 6th year and into the summer."

Amelia raised her brow, "You have to get great N.E.W.T.S for that. I know you can do that. If you need any help with anythin' with Potions and Herbology I'll be there to help."

Matilda reached over grabbing her friend's hand. She smiled giving it a squeeze, "Absolutely. I know it'll be brutal."

Her smile washed off her face when she got serious and leaned forward to whisper, "I just have a real bad feeling, Mia. Something bad is going to happen and I don't like the feel of it."

Amelia gave her friend a squeeze back. It was supposed to be reassuring to her friend but she isn't sure if it was for her as well. She spoke softly, "If anythin' were to happen I'm sure we will have each other backs."

The smile on her friend's face made her smile back. Matilda stood up releasing her friend's hand, "Did you finish getting all of this years supplies? I haven't even started."

Amelia jokingly rolled her eyes and laughed, "Of course you didn't. Let's go."

A/N: Sorry for the very very long wait! Life and writer's block can rear its ugly head when it wants to. ANYWAYS, I hope you guys enjoy this little chapter! The next one will be entering the 7th year! How exciting! I missed having Matilda around considering she hasn't been able to escape her family unless its shopping for the school year. I have an idea for the 2nd chapter of 7th year. First chapter of 7th year is a little iffy. If anyone has any ideas, I'm open to any!

Well I should wrap this A/N up and wish you guys a wonderful day or night. Hopefully next time won't be so long. Be safe out there!
