A/N: I only own the OC

You guys rock!

I woke up to my phone ringing at 3 am. I wasn't sure who it was as I was dead asleep, and pissed off that someone had woken me up.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Sergent Bloom?" a voice said and I sat up. I never went by my rank unless it was something important.

"This is she?" I responded very confused as an unease settled over me. I never went by my rank, and knew that the only people who knew it weren't people that I generally cared to hear from anymore.

"You have a new mission from SWORD. Be ready in 1 hour and make sure you have your passport." they said before hanging up. I sighed and ran my hands over my face. I had longed for these phone calls at one time, but after Thanos, the blip, and SHIELD falling... I now dread them instead of get excited for them. I had my uniform on, my documents, and my bag ready as a black SUV pulled up in front of my house. I had left enough food and water for Butterfinger since I had no idea how long I would be gone for, but I had texted Chelsea to come check on him while I was gone.

I got in and was immediately handed a tablet with notes for the mission. I read over them, and looked up at the man sitting next to me.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" I asked him and he chuckled. I knew who he was because everyone now knew who he was... he was the new Captain America. I knew him as John Walker because we had missions together in another lifetime. I wasn't sure if I was mad because I was going to be a handler, or if it was that I was going back to Vienna.

"No, I asked for you because you know both of them. I need them to work with me, and I figured you might be able to help." he said and I pursed my lips. John was still the same because he was only looking out for himself, and truly had no idea what he was getting into.

"John, I don't think this is a great idea. You don't know them." I said and he smirked.

"But you do, Sarah... in fact I think you know some of them more than I ever will." he said with a smirk, and I couldn't stop myself as my hand shot out. I punched him right in the mouth and he chuckled as he wiped his mouth. He was just giving me more reasons to hate him. I had heard how much Bucky and Sam didn't like him, and now I understand why. He had gotten worse since I had met him. I was thankful when he didn't speak anymore until we got to the hangar. I grabbed my bag before he could, and walked into the plane. I looked around and realized that we were by ourselves.

"They will be here in a few minutes." he said and I nodded as I sat on a cargo pallet and stretched my back. I wanted him to just disappear and let me get this mission over with since I wasn't aware that I would be doing them anymore. I knew that I should be excited about it, but I was ready to just get this one done. I already saw Sam and Bucky enough, but to be on a mission with them might bring back things that I had moved on from at this point.

"You still look good, Sarah. You know if you had been with me it would have been different." he said and I that was it. I lifted my knee as I slammed his face down onto it. He groaned and fell over; the blood was flowing immediately. I couldn't help but smirk as I hear vehicles pull up. John was pulling himself up as I heard Sam and Bucky walking up. Sam didn't sound happy already.

"Why do we need a handler? We were the Avengers. I think we know what we are doing." he said and John was standing in front of me as they walked up.

"Because I don't want you to do anything stupid, and they have connections." he told them and I rolled my eyes. I hope that my connection in Vienna still wanted to talk to me. I hadn't seen them in awhile, and hopefully they were willing to deal with me.

"I don't want to work with some idiot who probably has never been out in the field." Sam said and I smirked.

"I can assure you I am not an idiot." I said and they both leaned around him to see me. I gave a small wave and Sam chuckled as Bucky remained unreadable. I hadn't talked to him much in the last two days, but seeing the faint black eye I could only imagine what he had been up. John finally shut up and we were sent on our way. I buckled in for take off as Bucky and Sam were talking about something. I had run missions with Sam, but this felt different. We all were friends, but this dynamic was different this time.

"Do you know what we are going to Vienna for?" Sam asked me a little after take off and I shook my head no. He handed me a tablet and I scanned the information. We were going to look for a ring of terrorist in Vienna, and they are all apparently some version of super soldiers. We were going to talk to the scientist that was still producing it for the highest bidder. I was surprised because we had all thought that Steve and Bucky were the only two.

"How many?" I asked Sam and he shrugged. I nodded as I finished up, and handed it back to Sam. I had no idea that someone was still making this serum that Mr. Stark made years ago... and we are still using it in secret. I talked to Sam a little longer before I felt tired again. I was fighting sleeping when I gave up and closed my eyes. I was awakened to someone sitting next to me; and looked to see Bucky looking at me.

"Lay down. You can use my leg as a pillow." he said and I was too tired to complain. I knew that staying up and binge watching True Blood again would come back to bite me in the ass but I didn't think it would be because I was on a mission.

"I'm fine." I said and he chuckled.

"You almost fell into the floor a second ago. Lay down." he said and I finally gave in as he threw a blanket over me. I pulled my hair out of the bun as I laid down on Bucky's leg. I didn't realize how tired I had been until I closed my eyes. I fell asleep to Bucky running his hand through my hair.
