Chapter 8

The Mystery of Bill's Lighthouse

Last time our heroes, Ash, Ami, Makoto, Pikachu, Minako, Rei and Usagi found Gary and Ash gave him a great battle leaving Gary to leave in defeat soon they found a Shiny Charmander. Braving a upcoming fierce storm, Ash and his friends came to its rescue. Abandoned by its trainer, the fire Pokémon recovered its strength and gained some new friends. Then Charmander became Ash's newest Pokémon. Soon they encounter a Bulbasaur and Pikachu gave it a really good battle and Ash, achieved his dream of catching a Bulbasaur. It was a shocking victory. And Bulbasaur joined the team, It's been quite a while since Ash left his home in the town of Pallet, and a lot has happened since he began his Pokémon journey. He and the girls have already earned two of the qualifying badges for participation in the Pokémon League. A boulder badge, and a cascade badge. then as the gang made it through past the hedges they stumbled upon a lovely beach with a beautiful sunset

"Wow, what a beautiful sunset!" Ash awed

"And the beach and the Ocean is so Beautiful!" Ami awed as well "I wish we can take a break here."

"I vote we camp out on the beach! but in a grassy area." shouted Makoto which she got out the camping stuff to set it up for the night

The gang is looking forward to camp out on the beach for the night then again Ash couldn't help but feel tired, he sat down on the sand and looked at the sunset.

"Man, I can't believe that we made it out of the hedges and I'm tired." Ash said

"Pikachu."

Then Ami came by and sat with Ash and looked at the sunset with him "Ash, is anything ok?" She said looking at him with a smile

"Oh, yeah Ami, all this walking made me tired." Ash said to the bluenette.

"Pika."

"Well, sometimes Pokemon trainers and their Pokemon can take breaks." Ami reassured "and sometimes the beach is a great way to calm the mind. If you worry too much you might get overwhelmed."

"You're right Ami," Ash smiled "I should relax every once in a while."

Ami giggled as Ash layed down on the sand and he spoke

"Ami, I think that Intelligent girls with short blue hair like you are very precious." Ash complimented which causes her to blush bright pink

"Y-Y-Y-You, think so, Ash?" Ami squeaked which he nodded yes and she smiled "T-T-Thank you very M-M-Much, you're v-v-very sweet."

"I wonder what Mako is making for dinner tonight." Ash said curiously "I wonder if I can help."

"Well I think she's got it Ash." Ami smiled still blushing "you know, Ash. Before I was about of a loner I didn't have any friends back then but then when I met Usagi things are different and a few days ago I met you and Pikachu."

"I'm really happy that we met." Ash smiled

Suddenly they both see a Krabby walking by and Pikachu sees it and Ash gets out his PokeDex and Analyzed it which said "Krabby lives near the shore. It's average height is about 16 inches."

"Awe it's so cute." Ami awed

"I think I can catch it and take my break later." Ash said "Let's go Pikachu."

"Pika!" Pikachu ran up to battle Krabby

Pikachu and Krabby faced off and Ash gave Pikachu a Command "Pikachu quick attack!" Which Pikachu charged at Krabby for a quick attack doing a good amount of Damage on Krabby good enough to catch it

"Go PokéBall!" Ash called throwing the PokéBall at Krabby and it went in The Pokéball shakes, but it soon stops and pings, indicating that Krabby was captured, Ash was happy and picked up the Krabby in the PokéBall

"Hell Yeah!" Ash said "We caught Krabby!"

"Pi-Pikachu!"

"And it's a keeper too!" Ami cheered

Suddenly the Pokéball holding Krabby soon starts to glow and it disappears meaning it's going to Professor Oak "and to Professor Oak it goes." Ash said

"Pikaaaa..."

"Well at least you caught your first water type." Ami assured "I think you should save Krabby for later."

"You got that right Ami, you always know when to give me great advice." Ash smiled

Ash went back to Ami and sat next to her and watched the sunset and they talked for a bit until Makoto calls the group for dinner and everyone gathered at the wooden table and Ash setted it and he gave Pikachu a bowl of Pokémon food and he petted him and he sat next to Ami and Minako and Rei and Usagi sat next to Makoto.

"I hope you guys like it. I made some yummy curry rice!" Makoto smiled

"Mako, I never tried your cooking before." Ash said making the girls gasp and look at Ash dumbfoundingly

"'Never had it before?!'" Shouted Usagi looking at Ash close in his eyes "Mako's food is amazing and when I first met her she letted me try some of her Onigiri!"

"You gotta try it!" Minako brightly shouted "it's delicious!"

"Come on, Ash" the brunette with rose earrings said "Try it I'm sure you're love it."

"Ok." Ash said then he closed his eyes and took a spoonful of Curry rice and took a bite of it and Ash was not only happy but amazed, then he looked at Makoto with his cute eyes and he spoke to Her.

"Mako, this is... The best meal I ever tasted in my entire life!!"

"Pika! Pika!"

That made Makoto smile brighter then ever "I knew it! I knew you love it, Ashy!" She smiled brightly "I'll tell you what next time I'll let you help me out!"

"I would love to help you out, Mako!" Ash smiled

"Ash caught his first water type Pokemon." Ami said "it's currently at Professor Oak's we should all give him and Ash's Mom a call before we all turn in."

"As they say 'One Phone call keeps the worries away!'" Minako said

"Yep Nobody says that." Artemis said while sharing Cat food with Luna

"Pikaaaa..."

"Well let's dig in!" Rei cheered

Everyone ate their dinner and the cleaned up after themselves and Makoto went over to Ash and wrapped her arms around him for a hug while he is suprised even more when she pulled him in for a boobhug "Ashy, I'm really happy that you liked my cooking, Mabye we can make something together."

"Y-Yeah I'm sure it will be amazing." Ash blushed even more when Pikachu spots something in the distance and hitch everyone ran to his side

"Pika!"

"What's up, Pikachu?" Asked Ash

"What is it, Pikachu?" Asked Ami "You see something?"

Pikachu is pointing at the big lighthouse in the distance "it's a lighthouse Every lighthouse has to have a keeper! And he'll have a phone! And We're gonna use it to call Professor Oak!" Rei said

Our heroes rush to the lighthouse so they can use the phone to call Professor Oak since he didn't see him since Ash left on his journey and Ash rings the doorbell which The sound of the doorbell creeps everyone out, so much so that they put their backs to the door

"Creepy." Usagi said sounding scared hiding behind Ash

"Usagi, it's just a doorbell." Ash said to the bunny "There's nothing to be afraid of."

"I'm sorry, Ash but I'm scared, please hold my hand." Usagi said and Ash held Usagi's and Ami's hands which made Ami blush

"Who's there?" Said a voice which made Usagi, Minako and Rei hide behind Ash, Ami and Makoto

"Excuse us, sir. But we're travelers and we got a small emergency." Ash said "and we need to use your telephone, please, sir."

"Yeah, we we just got at the edge of Route 25 and is planing on going to Route 5 in the morning." Makoto said

"That's great! Can you cook without using tofu?" The voice asked

Makoto was surprised "yeah, I can cook lots of stuff without tofu."

"And Ami makes the best curry like Mako!" Usagi said coming out of hiding behind Ami

"I-I wouldn't mention it." Ami blushed while smiling

"Did I hear someone say Curry?" The voice said "That's good. I've been eating nothing but tofu since my cook went on vacation. Come on in!"

Ash, Pikachu and the 5 girls enter the lighthouse and it was very dark and Ash asked the voice "Would you mind if I borrowed your phone?"

Ami saw a Phone nearby on the left "There's one, Ash, it's a video phone and part of it it looks like a Bellsprout."

The gang head to the video phone to call professor Oak and they see Professor Oak cooking up some Ramen and when the Professor saw a familiar face it caught him by surprise.

"Well, hi, Ash!" Professor Oak greeted "Its been a while You caught me cooking dinner. My cook is on vacation, and I have to fend for myself until she returns."

"Hey, Professor Oak, it's been a while as well." Ash said

Professor Oak then sees Ami, Makoto, Minako, Rei and Usagi by his side "Ash, I thought you were catching Pokémon not girlfriends, are you trying to show Gary off even more?"

"Kinda... but they're not my girlfriends they're my friends I made along the way on my journey and My Pikachu and I are getting along very well." Ash explained

"Pikachu."

I'm Usagi Tsukino." Usagi introduced

"I'm Ami Mizuno." Ami said while blushing

"I'm Rei Hino." Rei introduced

"I'm Makoto Kino." Makoto said.

"I'm Minako Aino." Minako introduced

"Well it's plenty nice to meet you all." Probably Oak smiled "Ash must've taken good care of you girls, anyway Ash the Krabby you caught was actually bigger than Gary's!"

Soon he turns to Ash's Krabby is seen inside a bag filled with water which is indeed bigger than Gary's that he caught yesterday every was shocked

"Holy Crap!" Rei shouted

"Dear Neptune!! It's so bigger than I expected!" Ami cired

"HOLY MOTHER OF CLAMPERL!!! WHAT A WHOPPER!" Makoto shouted "That thing looks its the size of a Kingler!"

"Ash, you got the rarest Krabby!" Minako cried

"I also want you to know that my grandson, Gary, has already caught 15 Pokémon" Oak said

"That much? Damn!" Ash said

"And your other Pokemon is doing very well Ash." Oak said "You were very lucky to catch a shiny Onix. Gary never caught a Shiny in his life! Anyway Ash, Just where are you calling me from anyway?"

"We're at an old lighthouse way up on top of a cliff." Answered Ash

"Oh. That must be Bill's lighthouse." Oak said "He's a young Pokémon researcher who knows even more than me! See what you can learn from him, he could teach you just about everything about Pokémon, and then some!"

"If that's the case, he must know about all the Pokémon currently discovered." Makoto said

"This is Bill, Professor Oak." Bill said "Good to hear from you!"

"Hello, Bill! Please give my friends a crash course in Pokémon." Oak assured then relized his Ramen is done "Uh oh! Ramen's done."

Then Professor Oak hangs up and the lights went on then Everyone looks and sees a giant Kabuto standing at the top of some stairs to their complete shock.

"Well, there's no way I can ignore a request from the great Professor Oak." Said Bill then he introduced himself "I am Bill of the lighthouse."

Meanwhile Team Rocket was watching the lighthouse from the distance at night and they found a new plan to steal Pikachu from Ash due to the location they are at.

"According to the phone book, that lighthouse belongs to Bill, the famous Pokémon researcher." Jessie said

"Then I guess we've come to the right place, huh?" James asked

"Yeah, you dumbass!" Meowth shouted "the thing your good at James, is Pissing me off!"

"That's right." Jessie added "There must be zillions of rare Pokémon stored inside that lighthouse! We will just have to sneak right in and take everything we can grab."

"How shall we sneak in?" James asked "We could take the road, or risk our lives by climbing up the cliffs."

"We have to climb up those cliffs!" Jessie said "because we're gonna take high risks!"

"Mabye we could trash their camping site." James said

"Let's just focus on getting the rare Pokémon including the bastard's Pikachu!" Shouted Meowth "then Mabye we can trash their camp afterwards."

"Well, what the hell are we waiting for?!" Jessie shouted "It's time for us to rain on someone's parade again."

Jessie, James and Meowth raced behind the lighthouse and they began to climb up as the trio tried not to look down they're afraid of hights one slip up and let go and they are done for.

"To be truly great criminals, we have to do things the hard way." Meowth said "and then we'll become hardened criminals."

"But it'll be tough to reach the top!" Jessie and James cried "Cause we're afraid of heights!"

Back at the lighthouse, Ash, Pikachu and the girls were still surprised that the giant Kabuto who claims to be Bill Ash analyzed it with his PokéDex which reads "Kabuto, the Shellfish Pokémon. In its original time, Kabuto was prominently found on beaches, likely aided by its fast and powerful swimming ability. While it is commonly believed to be extinct, isolated populations of Kabuto have been found to be unchanged for 300 million years."

"Dexter may be right, but this is the biggest Kabuto I've ever seen!" Minako smiled "Ash take a picture with me with it!"

"Uh, Minako." Ash said "I don't think that's a real Kabuto."

"That's right, young man! I'm not a Kabuto!" Bill shouted sounding annoyed "I'm Bill, the Pokémon researcher."

"Wait, are you a human being or a Pokémon?" Asked Minako

"I screwed up and experiment and accidentally combed my body with a Kabuto. Bill said "and I need help turning back to normal."

"Is there anything we can do to help, Bill?" Ami asked politely

"See that Cell Separation system over there from the PC, Young lady?" Bill said pointing right where it is indeed a Cell Separation System "When I step inside the teleporter, see if you and Ash can run it for me."

"Ok, we'll do it." Ash and Ami said

Bill stepped inside the Teleporter and Ash and Ami went to the PC and Bill gave the signal and Ami activated the Cell Separation system and the teleporter so that Bill and the Kabuto will be separated and when the Separation Teleporter is complete a Small Kabuto came out it on one and the other side came out a hansome young man with a tuxedo and green hair.

"Thanks for helping me get out, everyone." Bill thanked

"Oh my god, he's so hansome!!" Rei shouted which Makoto elbowed

"Pardon her behavior, Bill." Makoto said

"I forgive her, Ma'am." Bill smiled "There are many kinds of extinct Pokémon, and I want to understand how they lived. Sometimes making and Putting on a costume is one way of figuring out what they were like."

"You can understand what a Pokémon was like by wearing a costume?" Usagi asked

"It's not a Costume, Bunhead." Rei glared "he combined his body with a Kabuto."

"Hey! Don't call me Bunhead!" Usagi shouted and elbows Rei "Says the person who fell in love with him!"

"Ladies, please." Bill begged "no fighting."

"Yeah, you don't want to hurt Bill's feelings do you?" Asked Ash and Ami

"Anyway This planet was created 4.6 billion years ago." Bill explained "During that time, all kinds of Pokémon existed. They had many ways of living. there are more Pokémon than we can count. The number of Pokémon we know increases with each passing year or so. First, there were over 150 known species, then it gradually increased from there."

"Over 150?!" Ash and the girls cried

"Pika?!"

"Precisely, everyone." Bill smiled " however Your goal is to catch all of these different kinds of Pokémon, that's a great task."

"I got like 14." Ash said

"I got 6." Ami said

"I got 4." Usagi sighed

"I got 3." Minako whined

"I got 5." Makoto sighed

"I got like 4." Rei said

"These are just the Pokémon we know about. There are still many Pokémon that have never been discovered, so we need to keep searching." Bill went on

"How many could there be?" Rei asked

"No one knows exactly. The search goes on. There's always something new to look for in our lives, and in ourselves." Bill said

"Something to look for?" Ash asked

"Yes, a lot for us to look for inside and outside ourselves. There's meaning for every creature. A meaning for all the Pokémon, and a meaning for all us humans, too."

As the group heads up to the top of the lighthouse Bill continues the explain about all of the species of Pokemon as Jessie, James and Meowth still climbing up the cliffs and Bill tells the group that he's searching for a Pokémon and it's one of the rarest in the world

"It's probably the biggest Pokémon ever. Bigger than all of the rest!" Bill said "And no one has ever seen it."

"Well, that remains to be seen." Ami said "After all, out of the 721 cataloged species of Pokémon, there could be ones that are much larger. Which I studied on one of my textbooks."

"You have a good point, ma'am." Bill said "But from what I've studied, I theorize that its been wandering the Earth for years and years, looking for friends."

"A Pokémon searching the globe for friendship?" Usagi asked

"According to my theory, the Pokémon wanders because its alone." Bill explained "It's the only Pokémon of its size in its species, if not the only of its species. One of a kind. One night, I heard this very strange sound coming across the ocean." Then he turned on the sound of a big and rare Pokémon with a push of a button

"Wow, what a beautiful sound." Awed Ash

"It's so amazing," Ami agreed "I think it's saying "Let's be friends. I want to meet you."

"Some time ago, I recorded a similar sound and played it from the lighthouse to the ocean." Bill said "One day, I head the same voice calling back to me from over the ocean."

"The sound says, "I want to meet you, too. I want to be friends." Ami said

"Correct. It was answering me back." Bill smiled "Some foggy night, that Pokémon might come here to meet a friend its been seeking for such a very long time. I would be so happy to meet that Pokémon!"

But before Ash could ask a question everyone hears the Pokémon calling out over the ocean, signaling its arrival, The giant Pokémon starts walking towards the lighthouse then Bill presses a button on his remote and the lighthouse light starts changing colors, and the same sounds the Pokémon made are heard.

"Let's see if i can get a quick picture of it!" Said Minako and he took the picture of it "I got it!"

"Wow it sounds like it's singing!" Makoto awed and she walked over to Ash "Hey Ashy, Would you care to dance?"

"W-Why yeah, Mako." Ash blushes as he begins slow dancing with Makoto then she sees how good Ash is.

"Wow Ash, you're very good at this." Makoto giggled with surprise

Ami then got her PokéDex/Super Comupter and analyzed it which says "Dragonite, the Dragon Pokémon, and the evolved form of Dragonair. A kindhearted Pokémon with human-like intelligence, Dragonite shows signs of altruism: it is said to save humans from drowning and lead lost or floundering ships to safety."

"Guys, that Pokemon bill is looking for is a Dragonite!" Ami shouted "and this one however is the biggest of its kind!"

Then Ash and Makoto stopped slow dancing for a little while and promise they would do it again some other time and they, Pikachu, Bill and the other girls rushed over to Ami are all amazed at the mere sight of the gigantic Pokémon. Meanwhile, down on the cliffs below Jessie, James and Meowth were still climbing up to the Lighthouse and they turned Turns to see the Dragonite and turn and are both scared and amazed at the size of the giant Pokémon.

"Oh my god! That's a big Pokémon!" Jessie cried

"So size does matter." James said then got his bazooka "You know what that means, let's grab it for ourselves!"

"Like hell we're gonna miss this!" Jessie said happily "Quite right! I'll attack it at once! But it seems such a shame to aim at such a creature."

"Ready? Aim, Fire!" Meowth shouted

James suddenly looses his balance and shoots his Bazooka and it hit Dragonite but barely and it felt the hit cries out in pain and Ash and the Gang and Bill saw the Dragonite's pain

Ash held Ami close while Pikachu jumped on his shoulder "What in the name of hell is going on?!" Shouted Ash

"Someone or something is firing at the Dragonite!" Ami shouted "and It's preparing to attack! Look out!"

Ash picked Ami up and held her bridal Style and Pikachu held on to Ash tightly and The Dragonite destroys half the lighthouse Everyone, runs out of the lighthouse, ducks and heads for cover as the giant Pokémon destroys the beacon and Ash leads the gang out while carrying Ami and Pikachu.

"Please don't go, Pokémon!" Bill pleaded "Please stay with us! I've waited so long for a chance to see you here!"

The mighty giant shakes its head no as it prepares to leave Ami reads what's it saying "The Pokémon just says no, it won't stay after what happened." Ami said

Back with team rocket they are preparing to shoot Again using two bazookas "Do we always have to mess up everyone's plans?" James questioned as he prepares to fire "Even I think this is rotten!"

"Shut hell up and quit complaining!" Jessie shouted also prepareing to fire "We're not going anywhere without this Pokémon! "

But when Jessie and James are preparing to fire Dragonite uses dragon tail on Jessie, James and Meowth causing to send Team Rocket blasting off

"We're blasting off Again!!" The trio said

The Dragonite then walks away from the group disappearing in the ocean and the fog in the distance leaving Bill sad that it left but stood there watching the ocean.

"That was a wonderful Dragonite." Ash said while holding Ami and Pikachu "I wish I had one."

"I'm sure you will one day, Ash." Ami smiled and blushed because she is still in Ash's arms

"Pokémon live in more ways and places then humans may ever learn." Bill said

"I think Looking for and Catching Pokémon should help bring us all together." Said Ash

"Learning to rase Pokemon is another way of understanding how to live with them." Makoto said

"And Pokémon are lots of fun to play with." Usagi said with a smile

"Meanwhile I'll stand watch for the giant Pokémon to appear at my lighthouse again." Bill said

"But do you think we'll find all of the Pokémon there are?" Rei asked

"No, there are probably as many as we can imagine." Bill said "Mabye many, many more. Mabye there's no limit to the Pokémon we can actually find on this planet, Ash you're a Pokémon trainer holding a young lady on your arms. I'm a Pokémon researcher, Seeking out all kinds of life on this planet, even if our paths are different, I think our goals are the same."

Then the gang waves goodbye to Bill hoping to meet him agian and Ash, Pikachu and the gang all head back to the camping site and 3 people per tent the girls changed into their Pajamas inside including Ami which Ash gently setted down and she went to Minako and changed into her Pajamas and the Girls came out wearing them leaving Ash and Pikachu blushing at them.

"So Ash, what do you think?" Usagi asked while smiling

"Do you like our Jamies?" Minako asked

"I-I-I love them on you G-Girls." Ash answered blushingly

"Ashy, your so sweet!" Said Makoto

"Let's give him a 5 way hug attack!" Rei said

The girls one by one wrapped their arms around the Boy who is also wearing his Pajamas while Pikachu, Luna and Artemis watched smiling and Ash hugged them back happily

"A-Ash, can me and Minako S-Sleep with you tonight?" Ami asked while blushing very pink

"Pretty please?" Minako begged with her pleading Eyes

Ash nodded yes and Ami and Minako hugged him more as he get into the tent with 3 sleeping bags and he got into the middle one and Ami got on one side hugging ash while her cheeks are still pink and Minako is on the other side and hugs Ash from behind and Pikachu, Luna and Artemis got in the tent as well

"So Ash, is this your first time sleeping with girls?" Asked Minako with a smile and nuzzles on Ash

"W-Well I first slept with Mako while we are in Cerulean City." answered Ash while his cheeks are as Pink as Ami's.

"A-Ash thank you for holding on to me while the lighthouse was falling Apart." Ami thanked

"Chaaa..."

"You're welcome, Lovey Bookworm." Ash said which made Ami giggle

"Ash, if you would give Ami a nickname, what nickname would you give me?" Asked Minako softly

"I think Goddess of Love." Ash answered which made Minako happy and she was blushing at the same time

"Ashy, your the sweetest guy we ever met in our lives." Minako said as she falls asleep

"She's sleeping." Ash said while falling asleep "Goodnight, Ami, Minako, Pikachu, Luna and Artemis."

"Good night Ashy." Ami said and then the group fell fast asleep.

The next morning Ash and the girls got dressed in their outfits and they all packed their camping stuff and their tents and the group heads to a path back to Cerulean City and Ash lead the way

"It's a wonderful day for a walk." Ash said

"So Ash, how did you sleep?" Ami asked

"I slept amazing because of you, Minako a.k.a the Goddess of love and Pikachu." Ash answered

"Aww, Ashy, Your so sweet!!" Minako smiled

"Looks like we met a very sweet person." Makoto winked

"Now off to Route 5!" Usagi said

Over time, we uncover new information about the mysterious ways of the Pokémon. The more knowledge we gain, the more we realize how little we actually do know. And so the journey of discovery continues in the incredible world of Pokémon. And as our heroes head back to Cerulean City and to Route 5 They are determined of what lies ahead of them find out when our heroes make it to Vermilion City as the Journey Continues!
