"YOU WHAT?!"
"Ginny calm down! I think you just made me go deaf!" Older Ron complained.
"NO RON, I WILL NOT CALM DOWN! OUR KIDS MIGHT HAVE JUST MESSED UP THE WHOLE TIMELINE! OUR PAST SELVES AREN'T SUPPOSED TO KNOW ABOUT THEM!" Ginny screamed in response.
Hermione sighed. "Really, Ginny it's okay. We can just obliviate our past selves when we figure out a way to get the kids back to the future." She told her sister-in-law. "Although it would have been much easier if no one knew"
"And how exactly are we supposed to get them back to the future?" Neville asked.
"Hey! Back to the Future like that old American movie? That's funny" Ryleigh laughed, resulting in the confusion of most people in the room, future and past."
Hermione snorted. "Yes, but lets hope the plot of that movie doesn't become the present right?" She joked, adding to the confusion.
"What are they talking about?" Past George whispered.
"Ryleigh's muggleborn, just like Aunt Hermione, so they both know about muggle things like movies we don't know about." Anna responded.
"Ryleigh makes references all the time. It's so annoying, since I have absolutely no idea what she's talking about." Zac complained earning an eyeroll from Alice.
"Which is exactly why we told you to take muggle studies like Anna" Alice teased while Charity nodded "But noooo your older sisters are never ever right"
"Shut up" Zac mumbled.
"Woah Allie, I think I might be rubbing off on you a little huh? I guess that's what twelve years of best friendship does to someone, am I right?" James said.
"Bet you wish that friendship was a little more than that." Albus quietly remarked earning him a slap on the head from James, the latter turning bright red.
"As much as I'm enjoying the show, we really need to know how we are going to get home." Rose said. "Mom?"
"Right. As for that... I still have no idea. The only time turner we had was the one James broke..." Hermione mentioned.
"Yes and speaking of that" Ginny started. "James, you're grounded-no map, no cloak, no joke supplies, I might even ask McGonagall to suspend you from the quidditch team when school starts again."
"Wha-" James started to complain
"Yes! Please do that Aunt Ginny. I want to play next season." Anna interrupted pumping her fist in victory.
"But-but mum! That's not fair! Anna partly caused this, she shouldn't be rewarded! And no Jokes?! Mummmmm." Whined James.
"Awwww, is Jamie upset he can't play anymore pranks? You poor baby!" Alice teased, leaning on James's shoulder.
"James I said what I said and I'm not changing my mind, you're grounded." Future Ginny said.
"Oh and Anna, don't think you're getting out of this unpunished" Angelina told her daughter.
"Okay kids, we're going to have to go now, hopefully we can figure out how to get you all back home." Harry said. There was a chorus of 'love you's' and 'byes' as Anna hung up and put the mirror back in her waistband.
"Alright, it's getting late, why don't you kids go upstairs and get some rest, I'm sure some of us can lend you pajamas." Mrs. Weasley suggested. They all had just finished dinner and, after their long day, the future kids were visibly tired. The kids (past and future) all went upstairs and split into two rooms, the girls in one and the boys in the other. James, Albus, Scorpius, Hugo, Louis, Teddy, Zac, Frank, Past Harry, Ron, Fred and George all changed into their pajamas, the past boys lending some to the future ones.
"So, you guys are really are our kids huh?" Ron awkwardly started.
"Yep, and were awesome aren't we?" James said. Albus rolled his eyes.
"He always like this. Annoying, cocky and overall the worst." He complained.
"Hey!" James exclaimed, causing everyone to burst out laughing.
"Wait a minute...how come I don't have any kids?" Fred wondered aloud.
"Err-you just um never settled down? You know you're always um traveling with the joke store business and stuff." Teddy stuttered out.
"Smooth, Teds, real smooth" James whispered. Teddy shoved him.
"Sooo, that Alice girl, she's pretty cute huh James? What's you guy's deal?" George smirked.
"Whoa, whoa, that's my sister you're talking about!" Zac accused.
"Oh shush Zac, but we all know Jamie over here has the biggest crush on your older sister" Louis teased nudging James with his elbow.
"I do not!"
"Oh really? Then why can your face rival the color of a tomato?" Harry asked. Everyone laughed.
"C-can we just change the subject?!" James yelled.
"Boys go to sleep!" Mrs. Weasley shouted from outside the room.
"Anyway, what's the best prank you guys have played?" Fred whispered careful not to let his mother hear him. James, Zac and Louis all started telling a story on the time when the three of them plus Anna filled McGonagall's office with magic bubbles that never popped.
*Meanwhile*
The girls had turned the floor into a sea of pillows and blankets, where they would all sleep, since there were to many of them to fit on the beds.
"C-can we just change the subject?!" They heard James shout.
"I wonder what James is being teased about now" Dominique laughed.
"Probably something stupid." Alice rolled her eyes, trying to hide her smile.
"Ooooo looks like someone has the case of the crushies" Lily teased.
"Pfft-like we didn't all know that" Charity scoffed. Gilly groaned, she'd heard enough of her eldest siblings crush on a certain Potter.
"Boys go to sleep!" The girls heard Mrs. Weasley shout.
"Looks like someone's in trouble" Anna snickered.
Ginny and Hermione walked over. "I can't believe I marry Harry Potter!" Ginny dreamily sighed flopping down on a pile of pillows.
"Girls!" They heard Mrs. Weasley scold.
"Oops, sorry mum!" Ginny replied and the whole room burst into giggles.
"Hey mum? Err-I mean Ginny? Have you always had a crush on dad? Or Harry I guess." Lily asked.
"Well, yeah ever since I met him at least. But I'm pretty sure he doesn't like me back" Ginny looked down.
"Yet" Lucy added "You're married and have three annoying kids, I think he had to like you back at some point" She laughed.
"Right" Ginny giggled.
"Are we good Moms?" Hermione suddenly asked. "Our future selves got pretty mad at you earlier"
"Oh yeah! You guys are the best! We go on shopping trips all the time and Aunt Ginny taught us quidditch and her Bat Boogey hex!" Rose assured them.
"Being the only girls in you house has an advantage" Lily said. "You guys weren't really mad earlier, you were just worried, that's all." Ginny and Hermione nodded.
"Guys look. Vic is out like a light" Molly pointed out. Victoire sleeping didn't look as pretty as she did awake. The blonde was on her back, with one arm draped over her forehead and the other out to the side. Her mouth was wide open and some wisps of her hair was stuck to her cheek with drool. Dominique laughed and snapped a picture of her older sister.
"Dom, she's going to kill you." Rose giggled.
"Oh well. She's probably so tired from smooching Teddy earlier." Dom snickered and everyone laughed.
"We should go to bed, its getting late." Molly suggested.
"Yeah, I'm exhausted" Anna agreed, her voice muffled by the pillow she buried her face in.
They all said goodnight, turn off the lights, and went to bed.
It was around 2am when James randomly woke up. He couldn't fall back asleep so he decided to get a glass of water. Walking down the stairs he noticed a faint light coming from the sitting room. He walked in to find Alice Longbottom lying on the couch reading.
"Couldn't sleep?" He asked, walking over. She jumped a little and looked up to see him.
"Not really" She told him sitting up and closing her book. James walked over and sat down next to her as she sighed. He furrowed his brow.
"What's wrong?" He asked, concerned. Other than teasing him and Zac once, she'd been awfully quiet since they got sent back in time.
"What? Nothings wrong. Why?"
"Allie..."
She sighed. "I-I just feel responsible. Were all stuck here and I'm the oldest in my family. I should have been more alert and careful and I feel like its my fault that all of my siblings are in this whole mess. I'm a terrible sister!" She cried burying her face in her hands.
"Hey, Hey, Allie look at me." James lifted Alice's head up. "You are not a terrible sister and this mess is definitely not your fault. It's all mine. I made a stupid mistake and now everyone has to deal with the consequences."
"But-But, I'm the oldest and I feel like I-" She stopped mid-sentence and dropped her face into James's shoulder, crying. James hugged her and stroked her hair. He pulled her back and titled her face to look at him, brushing away a stray tear from her cheek. He smiled.
"You know, even crying, your still beautiful." James said, just loud enough for Alice to hear. Her face went from upset to surprise.
"What?"
"Allie, can I tell you something?" He asked
"Go ahead..."
He took a deep breath and prepared to confess. "Alice, I've had a crush on you for years now, probably since the day we met. I know we've always just been friends but, I think-I think I'm in love with you Alice Longbottom." She gasped and sat there with a shocked expression on her face. "Oh jeez, I'm sorry. This isn't the right time to say this and you were upset and I probably just made it worse and-"
"James!" Alice interrupted his rambling, finally finding her voice. He looked at her with a worried expression on his face.
"I feel the same exact way." She smiled. Now it was his turn to be shocked. James sat there with a dumbfounded expression while Alice waited for him to react. "Um...hello? Earth to James?" She waved her hand in front of his face.
"Can I kiss you?" He asked suddenly.
"Yeah. Go ahead." She breathed. He reached forward and cupped her cheek with one hand, brushing her hair away from her face with the other. Slowly, he leaned forward. Their lips met, and there they were, kissing on the couch at number 12 Grimmauld Place, back in 1995. But they wouldn't have it any other way.
Kind of a long chapter today, I hope you like it! I was mostly looking forward to writing the end of this chapter, Jalice is one of my favorite next generation ship! Also, I'm kind of stuck on what to do next. What would you like to see happen in this story?
