Hey guys, just wanted to let you know the issue with the sixth chapter has been fixed and all the previous chapters have been updated.

I was thinking of starting a short story series about Death and Fate, I have so many ideas planned but I wanted to know if you guys would like that sort of thing - there won't be any long chapters only short, less than a thousand words per chapter, though some may have two or more parts, let me know what you think, love Liya xx.

With the basilisk fangs collected and hidden and a plan to destroy the Horcruxes they had, Hermione had found herself with a lot of spare time on her hands. Time - she decided to spend training to become an animagi. Hermione had done the arithmancy and found that there would be a lightning storm soon, so she thought why waste the time when the opportunity was right there.

Holding the mandrake leaf in her mouth was proving difficult, even the sticking charm keeping it there was not strong enough, luckily Snape had stores of the leaves which she pilfered from. She had already completed the meditation stage and found her animagus form, now she was beginning to gather the ingredients of the potion that she needed to brew, how the marauders had managed it she had no idea, it was difficult and time-consuming, and from what she had heard the only patient one was Remus and maybe Pettigrew, seeing as he had hidden as a rat for twelve years.

Her form excited her and she couldn't wait to be able to transform, she would inform Snape once she had actually managed it but for now, she wants to revel in the excitement by herself.

Harry was having a hard time lately, the cursed bludger incident had happened, even though she had tried to lift the charms, she was not magically mature yet, she could only manage the simplest spells wandlessly and wordlessly, and her powers were still adjusting to her knowledge. Hermione was unsure in telling Snape about the bludger as he still didn't seem fond of Harry - the image of James Potter must really cloud Snape's judgment towards Harry.

Defense against the Dark arts was a waste of a lesson, she'd been too blind to see that the first time around, but now she can see how utterly useless Lockhart is behind his fake smiles, the room of requirement was being used more and more frequently by Hermione as she needed to practice her spells.

Her magic was still maturing but she was able to cast fifth year spells quite easily now, her fox Patronus bounced around the room as she tried to layer her spells, it was difficult as she hadn't actually managed it her first time around so she had nothing to base it off of, but Hermione was determined - she had to ensure that she didn't fail.

Her Patronus faded as her mind drifted, this summer Sirius would escape Azkaban - he would come to Hogwarts looking for Wormtail after he saw the Weasley's on the front page of the Daily Prophet - she had no idea of how she could get his name cleared though, in fact, she thought it wasn't likely that he could be cleared until after Voldemort was defeated, Dumbledore had the influence to clear him but didn't in her original time so it was unlikely that he would clear him now.

Sighing Hermione grabbed her bag and made her way out of the room, looking around before exiting she made her way to the common room, Harry and Ron were probably struggling through their charms essay's right about now, realising that they'd left it till last minute.

"Hullo, Hermione" Luna's melodic voice breaks her out of her musing, turning to face her, Hermione smiles, she hasn't gotten to speak to Luna much yet and she's glad that the blonde girl had approached her, "Did you know that Wrackspurts are following you", trying not to let her confusion show she asks "How would I go about stopping them, Luna?"

"They're not always bad like people tend to think" is her reply before she starts humming, Holding her hand out she continues, "come on, let's go see the thestrals, I think you need a break from your plans". Furrowing her brow in confusion Hermione refrains from asking Luna to elaborate - she has always known more than she lets on, people just think of her as a little odd so they don't tend to listen, Hermione hates Divination, but if there's ever a person who can 'see' things it'd be Luna.

Smiling at Luna as she hands her the bag of meat scraps that she uses to feed the thestrals, Hermione looks at the magnificent creatures, at the beginning of this year she was not surprised to learn that she could actually see the creatures. They were a sad reminder of the future that had passed and a motivation to change what would have been.

...she vill vanquish those who have wronged hers...giving her soul to ensure their defeat...

So the last part is a continuation of the prophecy in the first chapter...

I have an idea of what I want Hermione's animagus to be, but I want to hear your thoughts.

Love you all Liya xx
