Request: Klaus and Caroline have a one night stand online and meeting again randomly. Self pleasure smut but its not much, more story. It's a long one so buckle up.
"No... Eh.." Caroline gave a bored sigh as she sat sipping wine and clicked through another selection of strangers on her computer screen, laptop positioned on a pillow on the bed. Caroline was in a dating rut ever since her relationship with Stefan crashed and burned nearly six months ago. It was a perfect example of why you should never date a man who couldn't put you first in his life. So now it was Enzo to the rescue with an email filled with different links to dating websites. Caroline was about to click on the third link on the list when the name caught her attention.
"Videochats..." Caroline scrunched her eyebrows as she clicked the link. She was met with the site of revolving webcam photos and provocative profile pictures, a far cry from the PG-13 find love at the click of a button sites she just left. Fingers flying over the touchscreen, Caroline sent Enzo a scathing text message about how inappropriate he was and Enzo's response was instant.
"I meant it when I said you need to have a little fun. I can only guess how vanilla your last relationship was."
"I am not vanilla." Caroline tossed her phone aside, not even bothering to respond, quickly deleting the email out of spite. She was half tempted to close out of the site but curiosity did kill the cat. It was hardly the first time Caroline had seen pornography but she had never engaged with someone she wasn't at least mutual friends with online. The site was intended for people to interact live with members you shared common interest with but from the looks of the profiles Caroline came across, people were using it for specific interests.
Two glasses of wine later, Caroline created her own account and was currently drooling over a sandy haired male named Klaus with lips that looked like they could do sinful things and the most beautiful set of eyes. The mouse hovered over the strangers name and instead of clicking the link to his profile, sent a chat invitation instead. Clearly this Klaus guy was interested because before Caroline could register how to close the chat, the male she spent the past five minutes stalking was right on her screen before her.
"Oh my god! Your not supposed to be here." Caroline cringed but she could tell by the amused look on the strangers face that he was enjoying her flustered state. "I mean, I didn't want to talk to you... Ugh ... Not like this."
"I have to stop you Sweetheart because I have no idea what your saying." A deep British accent poured from the speakers and Caroline could swear her panties just fell to equator. "If you don't have a microphone then you have to type everything. Not as much fun."
Out of reflex, Caroline dropped her mouth open to speak but immediately shut it before she made a fool out of herself again.
"Well you lucked out. You found a poor college student who owns a six year old used computer in barely working order."
The handsome stranger gave a shrug and the two set into a semi awkward exchange, the stranger agreeing that his name was Klaus and she Caroline. Internet stalking was still very real and even if Klaus was undeniably sexy, any information that could be used to find out who she was had been kept to a minimal. By the sound of this guy's accent he was halfway across the world in London or somewhere while she was in New York. They would never meet but it was always good to use caution.
But wasn't that the allure though? Two strangers randomly tossed together with no expectations, never to be seen again. No I'll call you the next morning and he would inevitably not call.
It was a pretty amazing feeling.
Caroline could just be Caroline without putting her guard up or the Miss Mystic smile she used all too often. She didn't have to make small talk and count down the minutes until Elena's fake emergency call so she could go home early. If Klaus was an asshole then he was just one click away from disappearing for good.
But the funny thing was... Klaus wasn't an asshole. Caroline could tell he had the asshole gene but it didn't seem to appeared with her. Sarcastic, cocky, and he had a few suggestive comments but they were harmless enough. Their conversation went from semi awkward to Caroline secretly admiring his dimpled smile as she downed the last of her wine. The empty wine glass twirled in her hands as Caroline laid across the bed on her stomach, feet dangling in the air while Klaus chatted about an art exhibit he just attended. Apparently the guy was an art dealer, bought and sold fancy paintings for rich people with too much money, and dabbled a bit himself.
"You have to let me see something or else I won't believe you can actually paint."
Klaus gave a smirk as his face slipped from view and the camera twisted to land on a landscape on his wall. It was a beautiful hillside painting with two blurred figures that looked like children running hand in hand, a girl with long blonde hair blowing in the wind.
"It's my sister and I as children. We used to play on our families property in the English countryside. One of the rare happy memories I would ever have."
The strangers voice was so low and vulnerable that Caroline couldn't help believe the story was true, the pain of the memories barely below the surface. It made her want to reach out as well and she discussing her own story of her father and the horrible trips their family took.
"He died a few years ago. Bad car accident. My mom was pretty tore up about it since they were high school sweethearts and all."
"I'm sorry Caroline." They spent a few seconds just watching each other, Caroline admiring the meaning in Klaus's eyes. Caroline broke eye contact first, sitting straight and tucked her legs underneath her. Fingers clicked away at the keyboard, the strap of the loose tank top fell down one side and Caroline smirked as she noticed Klaus's eyes follow the action. Her eyebrows lifted in accusation but only a sexy smile was tossed her way, Klaus not seeming to mind that he had been caught.
"I need to get more wine but I'm not sure if I should leave a strange man alone on my bed."
Klaus sent her a heated look as he leaned forward on his desk to speak, running his tongue over his bottom lip.
"Believe me Caroline I would want nothing more than to be in your bedroom all evening if I could." Images of this handsome stranger laying on her bedspread with her looking down upon him, pulling Klaus forward with one of his necklaces. The computer screen felt so cheap compared to the images that flooded her mind and Caroline shifted in her seat. "But I will settle for accompanying you to your kitchen if I'm not being too forward."
The sound of his accent pulled Caroline back to reality and she jumped from the bed holding the laptop, pretending as if the air hadn't shifted between them. The silence was natural for them now, the stranger being able to pick out her expressions without having to type. For someone like Caroline that was used to filling every silence with some conversation, it was a welcomed surprise. Her apartment was only a few rooms, living room and kitchen being one open concept. The laptop was placed on a bar that divided the rooms while she waited to be given her own tour of Klaus's study. Brown liquor was poured in a extremely expense looking crystal glass with a floor to ceiling bookcase behind him.
"Yup. Rich."
The ping from his computer made Klaus turn and gave her a perfect view of the lean torso beneath his black shirt as he walked back to read her words.
"I make ends meet."
The last thing she saw was his knowing look as he positioned the camera back to his chair. Caroline rolled her eyes knowing he couldn't see her and turned to grab a new glass from the cabinet. His words stopped shortly as she heard his chair move against the floor.
"You know Love..."
Caroline peared over her shoulder at his sudden stop and saw a humorous expression of shock on his face. His mouth was slightly open and his eyes were still running along the curves of her bottom. They had been talking for nearly two hours now so when Caroline reached for the top shelf, the thought of Klaus seeing her in only red lace panties and a grey tank top didn't cross her mind.
Typical Caroline would be shreeking if a strange man saw her practically naked but this time she was enjoying the tease. This guy was halfway across the world in Timbuktu so who cared if he saw her ass. It was a nice ass.
"Where are your manors Klaus. Peeking at a lady is not appropriate."
"My apologizes Love. Please continue before I interrupted."
Caroline gave an extra sway to her hips as she lean to grab the bottle from the counter and filled her glass. Perhaps leaning a bit to far over to give Klaus a view of her ass and she smirk at his throat clearing.
"Red is a beautiful color on you." Hazy eyes traveled up the length of her body as they met once more, a blush crept up her cheeks. "On your cheeks as well."
Heat flooded her skin and she wanted to scold herself for losing at the game she started. Caroline wasn't supposed to be the one effected.
"There is a matching bra that I could show you but I'm not wearing one right now so..."
A sound that was reminiscent of a growl sprang from the speakers as the smugness went back to Caroline's stance, hands clasping behind her back.
"I desire many things from you but least of all is for you to put more clothes on. If only I could remove them all."
Their eyes never broke as Caroline shifted her thighs to give herself minimal relief. All night they teetered on this invisible line with Klaus's suggestive comments and Caroline's flirty looks but it seemed they both wanted to pursuit the connection further. She wanted to and it wasn't hard to guess by the looks he was sending her through the screen that he did as well. But why make it that easy.
"You know you never proved you could actually draw."
Klaus scrunched his eyebrows as he read her sudden subject change.
"I don't need to lie to get women in my favor Love. They come willing."
This stranger was nothing but confident.
"Draw something.
And I don't just mean a stick figure."
"Sketches can take hours to complete," His eyes rolled once he saw the unimpressed look on her face. "Well what's a few more hours."
Caroline was more than amused by his grumbles, finding it endearing as she watching him over her wine glass. The concentration on his face was slightly intense and she was just dying to know what he was drawing. Realizing this could actually take hours she hopped on the counter directly across from the computer to get cozy. Caroline could barely write her name some days so how could she know how long it would take. Anticipation was building as his eyes crept over her lean legs and over the nipples that were now present through her baggy tank top. Surprise washed over her as he held up the sketch to the camera.
"My cabinet?" Caroline blurted out before registering he couldn't understand. It was a rough sketch with lopsided squares but it was obvious he was skilled in drawing.
"You never told me what I should draw."
Klaus seem too happy about her annoyance so she let her eyes slipped closed, chin tilted slightly higher in the air as she placed both hands next to her legs on the counter. A clanking of ice against glass told her Klaus had just downed the rest of his drink, the barest of scratches against paper in the background. That one thin strap of her tank top slid again halfway down her arm so not to expose all of her breast. Caroline's curious eye flitted open just as Klaus was lifted the next sketch. It was a partial drawing of her lips and jawline with much more care.
"Beautiful." His honest words made her blush. "I can't help but wonder how beautiful you would look flush and breathless on that counter."
Caroline's breath caught, hips shifting for friction that wasn't there. The body that wasn't there.
"You would look amazing Caroline. Coming undone with nothing more than just my voice... that is what I want to draw."
Klaus leaned forward in his chair with his hand clenched to the wooden table, the paper discard to the side. His eyes were pleading his next words.
"Will you come for me?" Klaus's eyes drank her in as if that was all he wanted from life.
A whispered yes fell from her lips while her fingertips trailed against her thighs making them slide open farther. The shift reveal the center of red lace thong, now darker from the wetness that soaked through. One hand gripped the counter while the other stroked the material, moving further to the edge so Klaus could see what his voice was doing to her.
"So wet for me Caroline. Do you know how wet you would be if I was there with you? I would be on my knees worshiping you. Tasting you. My tongue pressing against you and your fingers pulling at my hair."
Caroline's head fell back against the cabinet with a loud thud, Klaus's name moaned unconsciously. She pushed the lace aside, nearly ripping them in the process so she could feel some type of skin to skin contact. Her fingers slid against herself and circled her clit as she imagined they were instead Klaus' tongue. Sitting forward keeping her eyes locked with Klaus, Caroline pull the tank top over her head and tossed it without care. Her nipples were already hard and Klaus cursed as he watched her stroke them with her palms.
Caroline nearly came undone when she saw Klaus's hand fall from the edge of the screen to underneath his desk to what could only be his jeans. She felt the moment Klaus noticed where her eyes were traveling and how her fingers picked up speed.
"Is that what you want to see Caroline?" Klaus adjust the chair so she could see exactly how hard he was through his jeans. "You want me to stroke my cock just for you."
His last few words were all she needed as Caroline's mouth fell open with a hard moan and quickly found her release. Her body was limp against the wooden cabinets and after a minute of deep breathing her eyes lazily slid open. The satisfied smirk changed to confusion once Caroline realized she was staring down a blank computer screen.
"Klaus?"
Not that he could hear her even if the computer was turned on. Fingers tapped several keys on the keyboard while the other supported her weight against the counter, her legs still weak from orgasm. Nothing happened. The power button was no use, Caroline tapped it a few extra times just to be sure. A tiny bit of guilt surged as she pictured a frustrated Klaus on the other end of a dark computer screen.
"Cheap battery."
But it wasn't just a dead battery but her entire computer crashed. Every last bit of information Caroline had stored was gone and she would rather burn alive then ask Enzo for the name of a video chat website. Caroline was a novice when it came to computer meltdowns so there was no retracing her steps. There was no tracing Klaus and she would be lying if she said she wasn't a little disappointed.
One Month Later...
Agora Galleries is a modest two story building with glass windows top to bottom with bare white walls except for an array of paintings on the inside. Caroline grabbed a flute of surprisingly good champagne and fidgeted with her dress, not quite sure what she was doing here. Caroline enjoyed touring art museums but stuffy parties where she was by far the poorest person in the room just weren't really her thing. Maybe back in her Miss Mystic Falls hay day she would have jumped at the chance to attend but Caroline was older now and there were just more important things in life.
"Enjoy yourself for once. I mean we get free booze and appetizers Caroline. What more do you want?" Bonnie spoke while popping a few more slices of cheese into her mouth, ignoring the appalled glances from other guests. "It's just one night."
"And why is it you hate these fancy parties so much?" Bonnie felt the arm sliding across her waist and smiled. Enzo kissed Bonnie's cheek before going back to Caroline. "Weren't you Miss Stuck Up Falls back home?"
Caroline ignored his attempt at a joke to correct him instead.
"First of all, it's Miss Mystic Falls and you know it." Sticking her pointer finger at him while holding her glass "Secondly, you know I'm only here because you're forcing me to be. It's also not at all creepy that this supposed artist wants to meet me by just seeing a photo of me."
"Call it artistic inspiration." Enzo shrugged and tipped his Bourbon until it was empty. "Bonnie is always sharing stories about you and she was flipping through her photos when yours came up."
The thought made Caroline cringe, wondering what drunken photo Bonnie was sharing of her now. This was why camera phones shouldn't exist.
"Don't worry you looked amazing. It was the one with you singing in the car." Bonnie cut in quickly to ease her mind. "The guys a total asshole but he's also super rich so if he wants you as a model he'll pay well. "
"I've known Nik since college and he's not that bad." The exaggerated eye roll Enzo received from his girlfriend begged to differ. "Look there he is now."
Sipping from her wine glass, Caroline's eyes followed the finger that Enzo was pointing across the room to a man in an all black suit and hair parted to the side. All she could see was the man's profile but it instantly caused her to cough into her glass. Bonnie gave her a thoughtful pat on the back and Caroline assured her she was fine, clearing her throat a bit while daring herself to look back at the man across the room. The man who was now staring at her with intense eyes, her stupid coughing fit had caught his attention. It was over a month later, did he really remember her? Why the hell was he in New York and not in Timbuktu like he was supposed to be. It was one thing to have a little safe fun with a guy you would never see again but a totally different thing to have that guy randomly show up in your life again.
She watched Klaus or Nik or hot internet guy make small talk with a redhead but his attention kept going back to her. Shivers ran down her back as he appraised her body and Caroline masked the sensation by downing the last of her drink. It was too much to understand and she had to get out of the same room as Klaus. Bonnie gave her a concerned look and Caroline could only mumble a brief excuse of needing a moment alone. Turning to elbow her way past the other guests, Caroline took to the stairs were the remainder of Klaus' art was displayed. Any minute Klaus would follow her upstairs and part of her wanted him to so she could have answers, maybe even just to talk with him again. The other part of herself was mortified for how she acted and never wanted to think of their night together again.
Paintings were on all sides of the small white room and Caroline wondered to each not really looking at any of them. A mixture of dark colors covered the walls until a large painting on the back wall caught her attention nearly making her legs give out. Caroline stepped past guests to stop in front of a large white canvas with dark black lines. A women with her head tilted back in pleasure, lips parted as her nails dug into her thigh. One of her hands covered her stomach, fingertips just above the line of cloth that covered skin. It had the same crooked lines as Klaus's sketch and some generic shapes in the background to leaving the woman as the main focus.
It was her.
"Beautiful isn't it?" A handsome stranger in a suit flashed a bright smile as he suddenly appeared next to her. Caroline was so lost in thought she never heard him walk up. "Most people would see this and think it's just a provocative painting of a women in pleasure but not you. You seem taken by it."
Caroline dropped her mouth to speak but snapped it shut as she was unable to put her thoughts into words. The very last thing she expected was to see herself hanging on a wall in a gallery in Downtown New York. Even though the woman's face was obscured, Caroline had no doubt that it was her just before she had one of the best orgasms of her life.
"It's very intimate. The artist must know her well." Caroline paused to inspect the painting again. "It's meant to look as if the artist took only minutes to paint, the lines overlapping one another but if you look closer at the women she's - "
"Perfect." An accented voice floated from behind causing her skin to goosebump. The man in a suit flashed her another dashing smile as he brought her hand to his lips to give a seductive kiss goodbye.
"Goodbye Marcel." The man seemed unaffected by Klaus's sudden coldness and gave him a familiar pat on the shoulder as he left. After they were alone, Klaus remained where he was a few feet away from Caroline, eyes inspecting every inch of her face to commit it to memory. Until now Caroline had half convinced herself that Klaus was just some gorgeous illusion but there was no denying it now with him in touching distance.
How amazing would that touch feel, rough hands running over her skin. To stop herself from replaying that nights images, Caroline jumped right to the question she had to know.
"Why am I here." The words came out determined for answers. "Why is this painting here."
Klaus shifted his attention briefly to the small crowd that was lingering nearby and directed Caroline towards a door that led outside to a small second story iron balcony with stairs to the next floor off to the left. A set of sheer white curtains were closed along with a sliding glass door.
"Well I still had to show you that I was a true artist. I assume this is proof enough." That playful smirk was back. "I've lived in New York for years. A few of my siblings moved here, including my sister that attends college, so I joined them. Given my career in art and looking to branch out, New York was the perfect place."
"And my painting?" Caroline insisted.
Klaus sighed, "That was a coincidence. Marcel found the painting in my private collection and wouldn't stop until he pulled the story out of me."
It took a few moments but Caroline realized the Marcel he was talking about was the man that just left. She gave Klaus a hard slug in his shoulder which he laughed off.
"You told him about me? What we did? No wonder he was all smiles and kisses." Caroline rubbed the back of her hand against her dress.
"He never learned the details just that we knew each other on a personal level. Marcel has know me a long time and that it's unusual for me to be so taken with a women."
The softness in his voice took her back a month ago when Klaus talked about his family and she hated that she believed him. When she agreed to come to the art gallery Caroline's initial idea was to meet the guy and be her usual charming self while turning down his offer to be a model. Basing her decision from the few stories Bonnie told her, Caroline had no interest in working for the guy, Klaus being overbearing and rude the entire time. But then he turned out to be the playful, sexy art guy that read every word of nonsense and never once made her feel like he was just playing along to get in her pants. One person couldn't be this two sided.
Caroline's emotions were all over the place, not wanting to think anymore about how some guy she barely knew could cause her to rethink everything. Even separated by a few feet Klaus' proximity made her head spin so she clung to the easiest emotion. Anger.
"So you dragged me downtown just so you could show off how rich you are? Great, now I'm even less interested." Caroline crossed her arms as she went to walk away but Klaus took a step in her way instead, putting his hands up to stop her.
"I had to see you again." His words were rushed as if he was trying anything to get her to stay. " I spent the weeks after we talked looking for you on that ridiculous website, sent you messages but nothing. You vanished as if you never existed."
"Of Course you did." Caroline scoffed as she took a step back closer to the railing. "Why wouldn't you want to see girl that got naked and -"
"My thoughts were consumed by you. A mere sketch wasn't enough." Klaus interrupted her rambling with something that happened to often with Caroline. Honesty. "When I saw that picture of you I couldn't believe it was real. Then to hear you lived in the same city ... I had to see you."
The beauty of a one night stand is that it only happened once. It was supposed to be awkward if you ever encountered the other person outside of the one night stand but this... Klaus... was first date feelings. Even on their video chat Caroline felt the connection through the screen but she chalked it up to the excitement of a stranger. She remembered the feeling of not having to pretend to be someone she wasn't and it just came so naturally in the moment.
"Caroline.. I.."
The moment was broken by the balcony doors sliding opened by a very annoyed brunette girl, not bothering to apologize for interrupting.
"Do you mind Davina? I have a guest" Klaus bit out as he turned to face the girl and Caroline's eyebrows lifted at the tone.
"Buyers are downstairs asking for you and you can't exactly sell anything doing whatever it is your doing out here. Let's go."
Davina stepped aside holding the door open with her hip, clearly not leaving unless Klaus followed. Klaus moved back towards Caroline to hand her a business card from a small gold case inside his jacket pocket.
" I told Bonnie I wanted you as a model for my next showing and I meant it." The card Klaus extended towards Caroline hung in the air as she watched him. "Just think about it and if you decide you never want to speak to me again you can toss the card in the garbage."
"He's good for his word," Davina stepped forward, heels snapping on the concrete, her tone making an abrupt profession turn. Davina took the business card from Klaus and placed it in Caroline's palm. "I'm Davina Claire, Klaus's assistant, so I can assure you your asking price can be matched. Do you have an credit debt? Student loans deferred? Here's how you pay them off."
Caroline couldn't speak and watched as Klaus backed away towards the door, not turning until he reached the sliding door. The tiny bit of paper felt like it burnt a hole in her skin and she inspected it slowly, running a thumb over the name. Klaus Mikealson.
Caroline waited a few more minutes before leaving the balcony, making sure to stay close to the wall and furthest away from Klaus. She knew it was rude but she never found Bonnie to tell her she was leaving. There was still the chance that Enzo could be talking with Klaus and she needed time to figure out what she was going to tell Bonnie. The relief of the nights cool air was welcome from the overcrowded gallery and Caroline walked over to a nearby trash can. The small white card hovered over the opening but her fingers never released the card. If Caroline dropped this card that meant she was dropping Klaus and the thought unsettled her.
"I don't have to decide tonight." Caroline shoved the business card into her clutch and removed her phone to send Bonnie a text message before she got too upset with her.
"Sorry had to leave but OMG do i have a story for you tomorrow. Bring coffee. "
I wanted to brush up on my writing skills and I found this partially written in my drafts so I ran with it.
Tell me what you think
