Chapter 8
Reid watched his wife sleeping in the moonlight happy to have her back. He could see the staples they had used to close the laceration on the crown of her head from Jareau's assault. His anger at one former SSA was clouding his judgment. His own gut told him he should be somewhere sunny without an extradition treaty but revenge was all he could think about. Erin was still beautiful but forever damaged.
"Come back to me Spence, I want to snuggle." Erin struggled to tell him
He smiled and climbed back into bed and kissed her on the head as he spooned into her back.
"Sleep Spence, you need your rest as well." Her lopsided smile a constant reminder of her recent assault by Jareau.
The married couple drifted off to sleep together complete in each other's arms.

Morgan walked into Hotch's office and sat down at his desk,
"We have no more leads on The whereabouts of Jennifer Jareau. She has just disappeared since she left Washington. I have run out of ideas Hotch." Morgan told him
"Concentrate on finding Penelope, it's not as if handing JJ over to him is even an option. Go over everything again, if your too close step away and let another team take over." Hotch told him
"No! I'm good Hotch." He snapped at Hotch
Hotch's cell phone rang right on the dot.
"Hotchner." He answered
"Hello Aaron, do you have good news for me?" Reid simply asked
He knew he had to be very careful how he answered. "After she was dismissed from the FBI she moved away from Washington. She told every one she was moving down to Florida, the details she gave to us where all false. She has gone off grid and does not want to be found." Hotch replied honestly
"Why is that my problem? Naughty, naughty Aaron. You have a further 24 hours to present me Jareau. Say bye bye to another BAU colleague. Open your new email." The phone went dead.
Morgan rounded the desk so he could watch the computer monitor. Hotch opened the Email and opened the link. A video link opened up showing a family of five enjoying play time at the park. The two agents recognised SSA Tobias and Tamsin Cook, Tamsin had been with Jim Anderson's BAU team for five years. They watched her fall to the ground with a bullet hole in her head.

"Hello this is Elizabeth Jareau." Emily answered the phone
"Mrs Jareau, we need to meet. I can be over in 10 minutes." The US Marshal told her
"We will see you in 10." Emily answered.
Emily walked out to Jennifer by the play gym. Henry was trying to give his mother a heart attack by hanging upside down from his pirate fort.
"Jennifer, we have a meeting in 10 minutes with Danny. He just rang out of the blue." Emily told her wife
Emily and JJ left Gabby the children's nanny in charge as they walked back into the house to wait for Danny to arrive. They didn't have to wait long they let US Marshal Danny Tint into the house five minutes later.
"Sorry for the out of the blue contact, your identity is secure Elizabeth don't worry. Jennifer, Dr Spencer Reid has kidnapped Penelope Garcia. He has held her for a month before he made contact, he released his wife from CIA custody and made his demand. He wants you Jennifer, his wife suffered a severe head injury resulting in a stroke. He gives Hotch 24 hours to produce you before he kills a member of the BAU, he has killed two so far." He tells Emily and JJ
JJ looks shocked at the news of her friends predicament. She snuggled up to Emily and grabbed her hand.
"Surely the FBI can catch Spencer Reid and release Garcia? Why are you telling me?" JJ asked the Marshall
"You want Jennifer to go back to Washington don't you?" Emily asked Danny cutting through all the B.S
"The director of the Marshals service and FBI would like you to consider it." He smiled
"OR ELSE WHAT?" Asked a terse JJ
"Nothing, we would just like you to consider it, Jennifer. I have a state department jet waiting at Hickman field for you if you decide to go." He told them
"Give us 30 minutes Danny, go play with the kids their out on the play gym with Gabby." Smiled Emily
Emily watched Danny walk out into the garden. She grabbed JJ's hands and turned to look her in the eyes.
"If you want to go back, I'm coming back with you to watch your back from afar Jennifer. I trust Derek as far as I can throw him, he is too personally involved making his decision making fallible. If I where him I would exchange you without a thought." JJ just glared at her wife
"Remember sweetheart, I am Lauren Jareau inside as well. I have just got you, plus I am probably the only person that can get into boy wonders head. We have an advantage he wants his revenge on you for slamming the battle axes head into the wall. That makes him fallible you just need an evil retired arms dealer, do you know any?" Winked Emily
JJ stared into her wife's eyes and smiled.
"Ok I know the kids will be safe with Gabby, I am worried about you." JJ told Emily
"I've got you to look after me now." Smiled Emily
The two women went out to tell the children about their trip. After promising to bring back presents they went to pack.

Emily sat next to JJ as they got briefed about everything Reid had been up to on the plane.
"Why didn't he just disappear after rescuing his wife? As they say before you set off for your Revenge dig two graves." JJ asked
"He really wants to make you suffer. I would most probably beat you around the head Jen, make you worse than the troll." Emily replied
Danny tossed Emily a wallet. "These are not a do what you want Elizabeth." Smiled Danny
Emily looked at the wallet and smiled
"Marshal Elizabeth Jareau." She laughed
"Just in case you have to be involved with Law Enforcement while your back in Washington." Danny told her
He reluctantly handed Emily her service weapon and gave her a warning look. Emily took it from him smiling thinking I could of gotten my own within 30 minutes of landing.

Hotch sat in the round table room with Morgan going over the murder boards for the two dead agents from the BAU.
"Nothing, he must of chosen them at random." Morgan sighed
"Funny this is the point when Reid pieces everything together for us." Hotch sighed
"They both complained about Strauss at the same time preventing her getting her promotion. I think it was about 18 months ago." JJ told them from the door.
Hotch and Morgan turned around in surprise, "JJ!"
"Anything on Penelope?" Asked JJ
"No, but your here now JJ." Smiled Morgan
"I am here to help Derek, not give myself to a nerdy psychopath." JJ warned him
"Of course JJ." Smiled Derek
JJ thought to herself 'Oh my god! Emily was right.' Her hand automatically went to her right hip to check her weapon. Her hip was empty she no longer had the authority to carry a concealed weapon. Emily had insisted on a few items for self defence her belt buckle contained a carbon fibre knife. She also had a razor blade and handcuff key sowed into her waistband of he trousers. Emily had certainly opened her eyes on the plane ride to Washington.

Morgan sat at his desk with his cell phone in his hand furious at Hotch.
His phone rang "MORGAN!" He snarled
"That's no way to answer the phone, now is it Derek." Laughed Reid
"What do you want?" Morgan questioned his former friend
"Jareau! I know she arrived at Quantico this afternoon. Hotchner will not give her up to me, you know he cares about her. I will make you a deal you bring me Jareau all nicely gift wrapped and I will give you your girl. I'm afraid your sister had a little car accident earlier, don't worry she only broke a arm and leg. But just think how easily we got to her Derek, who's next?" Taunted Reid
He ended the call and received a text with a phone number and 'call me when your ready to deliver'
Morgan called both his sisters to find one had been involved in a car accident earlier this afternoon. After he hung up he had decided what he was going to do.
EJ
Hotch had just hung up after speaking to Reid.
"He knows you're here in Quantico JJ. He has given you 24 hours to give yourself up, he will not kill again until after your 24 hour limit is up. If you don't give yourself up he will declare war on the BAU." Hotch tells her
"Surely Hotch we can do something to catch him. He is a smart man but he certainly isn't a master criminal. I am not giving my self up to die. I have my children to think about, I came back to help you get Penelope back." A flustered JJ told Hotch
"Congratulations on your marriage?" Hotch points to her wedding ring that she is twirling on her finger
JJ just nods her thanks to him.
"I'm going back to my hotel for a quick nap, I will be back in a couple of hours." She tells him on the way out the door.

Emily was laying on the settee in the hotel suite watching tv waiting for JJ to return from Quantico. She had worried about Jennifer but knew she would be safe while she was at Quantico.
JJ opened the hotel room door and was instantly pulled in for a deep kiss from her wife. She guided JJ over to the settee and pushed her down onto her back and started kissing her neck. One thing lead to another and soon both women where naked making love on the settee.
"You looked a little stressed." Smirked Emily
"That definitely sorted out that problem." Smirked JJ "l love you."
"I love you, too." Replied Emily
The happy couple went to sleep for a few hours.
JJ had showered and had ordered room service while Emily got dressed.
The hotel rooms door bell rang. JJ opened the door to let the room service trolly into the room. JJ suddenly had a hand clamped over her mouth and a needle pressed into her neck. The plunger of the syringe was depressed and JJ went limp.
"Close the door, I'll take her into the lounge to secure her. Then we will take her out on the room service trolley, we can transfer her into the suitcase in the car park. We will be out of her before anyone notices anything." Morgan tells Severe
Morgan pulls the drugged JJ into the lounge of the hotel room. He starts to move her body around and prepares to secure the belts around her body.
"Arghh!" Screamed Morgan as Emily knocked him out using the butt of her gun.
Emily quickly stretched JJ out on the settee and checked she was still breathing. Happy she then proceeded to secures SSA Morgan and SA Seaver before they regained consciousness.
Emily had searched the two FBI agents and found the reversal agent for the Knock out drug. She administered the reversal drug and waited for JJ to wake up. She opened her blue eyes and smiled at the green eyes of her wife looking down at her.
"Derek! ..." she stopped when she noticed the two unconscious bodies in front of her.
"Your work I take it?" JJ asked
Emily just nodded with a smile and helped JJ sit up. She leaned into JJ and stole a quick kiss.
"I think he was going to give you to Reid. But I intend to ask him then I was considering throwing of the roof." Smirked Emily waiting for her rebuke
"I will help you sweetheart." A pissed off JJ replied

While they waited for their two interlopers to wake JJ made a call to the FBI director and Hotch whilst Emily talked to a few old contacts putting feelers out for Reid or Garcia. Emily considered the gloves off now after this attempt to hand her wife over.
Emily stood making two drinks in the little bar area when she heard Morgan scream. Walking back into the lounge Emily found JJ standing on Morgan's testicles.
"Your pathetic, you wanted to kill me so you could get Penelope back? What about Henry and Lizzy? Your no better than Reid." JJ calmly tells him pressing down crushing his testicles
"Here you go sweetie." Smiled Emily passing her drink to JJ
"Prentiss?" Morgan gasps
"No, my name is Elizabeth Jareau agent." Smiled Emily
The door bell rang
