Rise of the Negaduck!
Chapter 8
Hey there, readers! Because I was cruel and left you on a cliffhanger at the end of the last episode, I'll keep my usual chatter to a minimum and just say I hope you enjoy the update!
"But-"
Darkwing was speechless as he stared at the man who was once Jim Starling, his hero.
"How are you here?" Launchpad asked the question for him.
"Wait, who is this guy?" Gosalyn asked, confused.
"Oh, so this hack never mentioned me, did he?" said Negaduck. "And here I was thinking that I was still your hero."
He chuckled so darkly that Gosalyn's feathers shook.
"I was once Darkwing Duck, the real Darkwing Duck, until this no-good actor stole it from me!"
"Hey, I beat out the role fair and square!" said Darkwing, offended by his comment.
Negaduck waved him off and continued.
"I tried to get my revenge once, by seeking vengeance on those close to him and the director who chose him instead of me; but some lunatic in a metal suit helped him "save the day" and I had to rethink my strategy."
Fenton opened his mouth to comment on the insult, but then remembered that he wasn't wearing the suit.
"He doesn't know who I am", he thought, his mind racing. "This information could be used to our advantage!"
"Where have you been hiding all this time?" Darkwing asked.
"Oh, don't act like you cared or anything, sap", Negaduck sneered.
"I care about bringing you to justice for your crimes!" said Darkwing, and Launchpad shot him a thumbs up.
Negaduck let out a full-hearted cackle, holding his sides from laughing so hard.
"Oh, that's rich!" he said, still laughing. "You actually think you're going to arrest me?!"
"If I may interject", Zeus said, raising a hand. "If there is going to be a fight between you two, I really must ask that you leave Ithaquack immediately."
"Oh, shut up, old man!" Negaduck said menacingly.
"Old man?!"
The sky turned dark and thunder shook the island.
"I'll show you old man!"
"Yes!" Storkules shouted, still clutching Selene. "Strike him, Father!"
"Kick his butt, Dad!" Selene encouraged.
Zeus narrowed his eyes, and Negaduck yelped as a bolt of lightning struck the ground two inches from where he was standing. Everyone watched and cheered as Negaduck fled from lightning, striking every so often. He growled.
"ENOUGH!" he yelled.
As the next bolt of lightning came down, Negaduck whipped out a mirror from his villainous utility belt and redirected it...right towards Zeus.
"Ah, phooey", was all he was able to say before it struck him.
"Father!" the siblings cried simultaneously.
Storkules' face was twisted with rage.
"You shall pay for-"
There was a flash of green light, and then Storkules was unconscious next to Zeus. Selene gasped as Negaduck aimed a weapon at her, smirking. Selene charged forward, but another blast from Negaduck's weapon and she was out cold, as well. Negaduck blew on the smoking device and replaced it in his utility belt.
"Where did I get the cool weapon, you ask?" he guessed, toying with them. "I fashioned it myself. I've actually done quite well, for having been in another dimension for the last few months.
The ducks gasped.
"Then the Ramrod!" Darkwing said, astonished. "Taurus Bulba-"
"While you and my fan were fighting my villains, I snuck into the machine before it closed-all thanks to this little brat who was searching for her grandfather.
"I saw him!" Gosalyn yelled, tears stinging her eyes. "I almost had him back, but you ruined it!"
"That's why they call them "supervillains", sweetheart", said Negaduck, grinning.
Gosalyn shook with rage, and Launchpad had to hold her back by the jacket to keep her from charging at the villain.
"So why are you here now?" said Darkwing.
"Because the time has come for my ultimate revenge!" said Negaduck.
"Ya know, you've tried that once before", Launchpad said matter-of-factly.
"Silence!" Negaduck cried. "Fan or not, you're one of the most annoying ducks I have EVER met!"
"Okay, now you're just being rude", Gosalyn said, crossing her arms and narrowing her eyes at him.
"Get used to it", Negaduck said darkly.
"Get used to THIS!"
Darkwing whipped out his grappling hook and fired, but Negaduck simply pulled out another ray gun and fired, turning the rope into a piece of string. Gosalyn, Launchpad, Darkwing and Fenton gasped.
"Oh, did I mention that I was able to fashion a LOT of new weapons while I was hiding in the other dimension?" Negaduck said.
"And did I mention that as a real superhero in St. Canard, I was able to gain a lot of experience fighting villains like you?" said Darkwing.
"Then let's see what you've got, DUCK."
"Let's. Get. Dangerous."
As Darkwing and Negaduck fought, no one noticed Fenton crawl away on his elbows and knees, grabbing the duffle bag containing the Gizmoduck suit. He waited until he was a few feet away before whispering "Blathering blatherskite!" and having the suit form on him.
Darkwing and Negaduck, locked in hand-to-hand combat, looked up as Gizmoduck soared over them using the propeller on his head.
"Halt, villain!" he announced triumphantly. "Cease and desist all criminal activity, for I am-"
"Oh, you've gotta be KIDDING me!" Darkwing and Negaduck said simultaneously. "THIS guy again?!"
"Uh, he does know that that's Fenton, right?" Gosalyn whispered to Launchpad, who waved his hand from side to side to indicate 50/50.
"No matter", said Negaduck, pushing Darkwing away from him. "This time, I've come prepared."
He pulled out yet another ray gun from his utility belt and fired the beam at Gizmoduck, who dodged out of the way just in time.
"You'll have to do better than that, I'm afraid!" he said.
"Stay out of this, metalhead", said Darkwing. "This is my mission!"
"And these are my friends!" said Gizmoduck.
"Oh, they are; are they?"
With an evil glint in his eye, Negaduck aimed his weapon at Launchpad and Gosalyn. Darkwing gasped.
"Say goodbye!"
Negaduck fired, laughing evilly.
"Gosalyn!" Darkwing cried.
"No!" Gizmoduck cried.
Ooh, I am so cruel; leaving you with yet ANOTHER cliffhanger. MWAHAHAHAHA! Ech-hem. Don't worry, I'll be back soon. See ya next time!
