Mineta tries flirting with...

Chapter eight: Mushroom Samba

The audience that had been summoned to the theater room by Talespinner69 had just finished watching the latest episode of the realm where Mineta tries his luck flirting with a different girl from his year of UA's hero course, one per episode. So far, he's been shown to have no luck, a note that some of the members of the audience think should have been obvious for the whole realm from the get-go. But Mineta, ever the horn dog, holds out hope that he'll score with one of the girls eventually.

Although he wasn't letting his repeated failures in the realm deter him, some of the audience members were letting all of said failures entertain them. "Man, all of the beatings that Grape Head got in that last episode were hilarious," Bakugo said, "I never knew that Fister Girl had it in her to be badass like that!"

"I think Mineta suffered more damage in that episode than in any other single episode thus far," Hound Dog said, some concern in his tone, "Seriously. He's been shown to shrug off things that I'd say would call for at least one week's bed rest at a minimum."

Shrugging, Aizawa remarked, "I guess that the Mineta in this realm is trying to break Midoriya's record for most trips to see Recovery Girl."

"You know, you guys could stand to be more helpful and supportive of me," Mineta said in a depressed tone.

Gesturing to the big screen, Sekijiro said, "We can't support your attempts with the girls, Mineta. Hell, I know full well that I would kick your ass all the way down to hell if I caught you screwing with any of my female students like how you had screwed with Kendo just now."

"Even though I barely did anything at all and she mostly just kicked my ass?" Mineta pointed out dryly to the blood hero.

Leaning back in his theater seat, Sekijiro said, "Well she wouldn't have done it if you hadn't bothered her. And now I know you're going to be shown bothering the rest of the girls in my class, a different one once per episode, for the remainder of the show."

"Speaking of, which 1-B girl will Mineta be shown trying to go after next?" Kotaro asked.

"Well the next episode is ready, so let's give it a whirl," Tale replied as he started up the big theater screen to play the next episode. Everyone turned front and center to face the theater screen, all of them looking on as they waited to see who would be next on Mineta's lewd list.

...

(Mineta tries flirting with Kinoko Komori)

"Ain't she the mushroom girl?" Mr. Compress in the audience asked/

"There's a mushroom girl?" Rappa said in a surprised tone.

Turning to look at Tokoyami, Dark Shadow asked, "Yo Fumi, I think she was from the joint training team that kicked your joint training team's ass."

Nodding once, Tokoyami replied in a bit of a dry tone, "Yes, Dark Shadow."

Turning to face Kinoko, Itsuka said, "Kinoko, I am so sorry you're going to be seen harassed by Mineta in this episode."

"Well hopefully I can get him to back off," Kinoko replied.

Mineta began his continuing quest to score with the ladies by secretly watching the girls from both 1-A and 1-B play against one another in tennis while hiding in the bushes. Mineta, after having a rather harsh run in with Itsuka, was aiming for a girl from Itsuka's class that was less aggressive. Luckily for him, the teams for tennis were divided up into 1-A versus 1-B, so he didn't have to scan all over the tennis court to look at his options.

"So he's spying on us while we're playing tennis," Yaoyorozu in the audience said in a disgusted tone, "That little creep."

Shrugging, Bakugo said, "If I were a betting man, I'd say that Grape Head's done worse things than that."

Mineta didn't want to say anything, mostly because he was afraid that if he opened his mouth until he could control himself, then at the moment he might reveal that he actually has done something worse, just like what Bakugo was guessing. Instead, he was choosing to remain quiet until he had something he could work with to take the heat off of him.

As Mineta watched the girls in secret, he said quietly to himself, "Now, which of those lovely ladies in 1-B shall be my next-"

"-Beautiful spikes I want to run my fingers through."

Mineta perked up a bit when he heard a girl's voice mutter that under her breath about several feet away from him. Looking over, Mineta saw that, also hiding in the bushes, was Kinoko Komori of class 1-B, apparently secretly watching the court that the boys were using to play their own game of tennis.

"So while Mineta is spying on the girls, Komori is spying on the boys," Aizawa in the audience said dryly.

"Or maybe just one specific boy," Sekijiro points out, "The Komori in this realm mentioned spikes and running her fingers through them, so she's probably focusing on a boy who has spiky hair."

Turning to look at Kinoko, Mineta got her attention. Kinoko was barely able to keep from crying out when she saw Mineta, but she was able to calm back down. "...You're Kinoko, aren't you?" Mineta asked, "What are you up to?"

Blushing a bit out of embarrassment, Kinoko said, "Umm, well, I, umm..." The mushroom girl let out a troubled sigh. "...I'm actually in love with Eijiro in your class, but I'm just too nervous to confess to him is all."

"Wait," Mineta said in mild surprise, "You mean Kirishima?"

"She likes Kirishima!" Mina in the audience cheered, "Ooh, they'd be such a cute couple, now that I think about itl"

Sighing, Tamaki replied, "Well so long as none of us tease Kirishima over it." Turning to look at Fat Gum, Tamaki said, "Right, Fat Gum?"

Fat Gum wore a serious look of consideration on his face. "...His alias is Red Riot, and I was able to gather that her's is Shemage," Fat Gum said as he held his hands apart. He then brought them together as he said with a mild eureka type look on his face, "...Red Mage." Bringing his hands back apart, Fat Gum said, "It's the perfect couple name."

"It's a character class in RPGs, Fatass," Shigaraki snapped dryly.

Turning to look at Kirishima, Kaminari asked, "So what do you think?"

"I actually sort of expected this," Kirishima replied, "I mean, she's shown liking me a lot in a lot of the other realms we've seen, especially in the ones that feature alternative versions of the girls in our year of the hero course." With a smile, Kirishima said, "But it is still nice to see a girl have any interest in me."

"Oh yeah," Kaminari replied.

As Kinoko nodded in confirmation, Mineta said with a sly look on his face, "Well you know that I'm always-"

"I will literally make mushrooms grow everywhere inside of you that my spores can reach if you try anything with me," Kinoko said warningly, cutting Mineta off midsentence, "You are literally nothing, especially compared to Eijiro."

As Kinoko returned to secretly spying on Kirishima, Mineta just sat there, a wide eyed look of horrified surprise on his face. He had absolutely no idea what to do, so he decided to do the first thing that popped into his head.

...

That evening during dinner, Mineta was talking to Sero and Kaminari as the lot of them ate at the island counter in the kitchen area of the 1-A dorm building. "Yeah, I'm going after Kinoko in class 1-B next," Mineta said.

"Wow, so a theory I had about the pervert boy in this realm turned out to have been rather spot on," Stain in the audience remarked.

Most of the villains turned to regard the hero killer. "What theory is that, Stain?" Spinner asked.

Gesturing to the big theater screen, Stain explained, "That the pervert boy in this realm has zero survival instinct period."

Nodding in agreement, Izuku admitted, "Yeah, Mineta here has shown to be far more reckless than for real. I mean, you'd figure he'd get a clue after Komori threatened him like that, but no."

Looking up from his food, Sero said, "Wait, ain't she that mushroom girl in 1-B?"

Nodding in confirmation, Mineta said, "She is, yes, not to mention how she'll be the fine lady that I at last finally score with."

Kaminari, after swallowing a mouthful of food, said, "Dude, I'd leave Komori alone if I were you. There's something about her that tells me she wouldn't appreciate you harassing her."

"Kaminari, none of the girls appreciate Mineta harassing them," Sero pointed out dryly.

"I do not harass girls, I show them the business!" Mineta insisted, "And I'll be showing Komori the business first thing in the morning!"

Gesturing to the big theater screen, Kyoka in the audience said, "No, no, Sero has a point here. Mineta does harass me and the other girls."

"And methinks that the electric boy's worries have a good chunk of validity to them," Stain quipped, folding his arms over his chest.

Sighing, Mineta said, "You know, any successful interaction with a girl at this point would be a welcomed repose from what all torment I'm put through here."

...

The following morning, Mineta went over to the class 1-B dorm building while all of them were out. He snuck up to the dorms on the girls' half, then eventually found the dorm room that was used by Kinoko. It wasn't all that hard, as there was a mushroom-themed sign on the door that said 'Kinoko's room', and going inside here were some mushroom-themed decor items.

Closing the door behind him, Mineta looked around the room a bit. "...Hmm, now if I were evidence to help figure out what made Komori tick, where would I be..." Eventually, Mineta saw a wardrobe in Kinoko's dorm room. Going right over to it, Mineta grabbed the handles and threw the doors right open, checking to see what was inside after he pushed the clothes up on hangers out of the way.

To Mineta's mild surprise, there were a bunch of pictures of Kirishima taped to the back of the wardrobe. "...Why am I reminded of when I was searching Yaoyorozu's room?" Mineta said to himself as he stared dumbfounded.

"So Kinoko here has a stalker shrine dedicated to Kirishima," Setsuna in the audience said, "Similar to how Yaoyorozu apparently has one dedicated to Yosetsu."

"Ahhhhh!" Kinoko cried out, "I am so sorry about this!"

Chuckling a bit with some very mild hints of discomfort in his tone, Kirishima replied, "It's quite alright. Realms can be weird sometimes."

As Mineta stared in confusion, he heard some talking outside of Kinoko's dorm room. Acting quickly, Mineta jumped into Kinoko's wardrobe and closed it behind him. A few seconds later, Kinoko entered her dorm room. Mineta hid himself under some clothes on the bottom of the wardrobe as the mushroom girl sat a bag down on her bed.

After Kinoko herself sat down on the bed, Mineta took his phone out and sent a text to Kaminari, asking him to distract all of class 1-B by any means necessary. After Mineta sent the text, there was some knocking on Kinoko's dorm room door a few seconds later. Kinoko opened it and was greeted by the sight of Itsuka.

"Kinoko, you are not going to believe this," Itsuka said, "But Kaminari from class 1-A got Juzo to help him put on a reenactment of the dead parrot sketch!"

...

Everyone in 1-A and 1-B aside from Mineta, Itsuka, Kinoko, Kaminari, and Juzo were all gathered in the common area of the 1-B dorm building, watching as Kaminari and Juzo were putting on a live performance. Kaminari while carrying a cage with a stuffed bird inside of it walked over to a table that Juzo was kneeling behind, saying, "Hello? I wish to register a complaint." Seeing Juzo, Kaminari said, "Hello, miss?"

Getting up, Juzo said to Kaminari, "What do you mean 'miss'?"

...

"You gotta come see this!" Itsuka said, getting Kinoko to come follow her. Once the girls were both gone, Mineta was able to breathe a sigh of relief.

"How does Kaminari keep coming up with distractions like that on the fly in this realm?" Kyoka in the audience asked.

Shrugging, Aizawa replied, "Beats me, but I'll be damned if I don't admit to being impressed by it to some degree."

"At least he picked quality entertainment for us to reenact," Juzo remarked.

As Mineta struggled a bit to get up from within Kinoko's wardrobe, his hand landed upon something that caught his attention. "A pair of underwear in Komori's wardrobe?" Mineta said quietly to himself, "Must be mushroom print!" Acting quickly, Mineta stuffed the pair of underwear he found in Kinoko's wardrobe into his pocket, left the wardrobe, then made his way out, not seen by anyone.

...

Later that evening, Mineta was talking to Sero and Kaminari during dinner, as the latter two were eating dinner at the island counter in the kitchen area of the 1-A dorm building. "And then we were asked to sing the Lumberjack song, and then the Philosopher's song after that," Kaminari said, "Luckily, Izuku and Yosetsu, plus Shinso from class 1-C surprisingly enough, were able to help Juzo and I out with the singing."

Nodding in thanks, Mineta said, "Yeah, I was able to sneak out of Komori's room without being seen thanks to you."

"Wait, why were you in there?" Sero asked.

"He was being a creep," Kyoka in the audience said dryly.

"Stealing my underwear," Kinoko said in an embarrassed tone.

To the boys, Mineta explained, "I was aiming to find what made Komori tick so I could work with her better and maybe get her to like me. I failed to find anything that would help me, but I was able to make off with a sweet consolation prize in the form of a pair of her underwear."

Turning to look at Mineta, Kaminari said, "...You didn't."

"Indeed I did," Mineta said, "Behold!" Taking out the underwear he found in Kinoko's wardrobe, Mineta presented it as he said, "Komori's underwear!"

Both Sero and Kaminari looked like they were going to object, but both calmed down after they saw what Mineta had. "...Dude, that's a pair of boy's underwear," Sero pointed out. Confused, Mineta lookd to the underwear he took from Kinoko's wardrobe and saw that they were indeed a pair of boy's underwear.

In the audience, Kirishima gently face palmed as he said, "Oh don't tell me..."

"Well a pair of the welder boy's underwear was supposedly in the rich girl's wardrobe," Dark Shadow began, "So you've got to figure that-"

"Dark Shadow, not now," Tokoyami interrupted.

At that point, Bakugo walked in with Kirishima and Mina. "Yo Sero, Kaminari," Bakugo began, "When you two are done eating, I need you to-"

"The hell?!" Kirishima called out, interrupting Bakugo, "Mineta!" When everyone turned to look at Kirishima, the red-haired boy said to the short pervert boy, "The hell are you doing with a pair of my underwear?"

"Your underwear?" Mineta replied, looking and sounding confused.

"Mineta says he stole it," Sero said casually.

"You little turd!" Kirishima snapped angrily as he proceeded to chase Mineta, who proceeded to run for dear life. Sero and Kaminari just sat back and continued to eat dinner, while Bakugo and Mina both laughed at Mineta's expense.

FIN

"So that's two of the seven girls in class 1-B that Mineta has failed with kero," Tsuyu remarked.

Clapping her hands together, Mirko said, "I wanna see what other punishments await the little grape turd in future episodes."

Looking at his big theater screen, Tale said, "Wow. I bet Kirishima would be able to hit harder, what with his quirk literally making him hard."

"A punch from Kirishima would be bad, yes," Kotaro agreed.

END OF CHAPTER

Author's notes;

I wanted to reference some classic material here, so I did. Anyway, with eight out of thirteen girls done, we're close to having done all of them. But there's still lots of surprises left in store for this story. You'll see what I mean as things go on.

Take care.
