Colonel Samantha Carter was calibrating the sensors on her Bridge when she heard somebody walk up behind her and a zat gun deploy she freezes she puts her hands up and slowly turns around to see her second-in-command standing before her with a zat gun pointed at her head.

Carter comly says Briant how did you get up here.

Briant laughs and says you think you're the only one who put extra security protocols within the system.

Carter says what do you want Mark.

Briant says to follow my orders and eliminate the threat to the human race.

Carter says Mark what are you talking about.

Briant the OIA has known for years that O'Neill is more ancient then human and with an naquadah in your bloodstream well that's a genetic combination that the OIA just isn't willing to take a risk on unless it's in their own little controlled lab.

Briant goes on to say come on Carteryou can't tell me you haven't noticed that the OIA has sent you everywhere and anywhere to keep you away from O'Neill help they even sent you to another galaxy,

This sends ice down Carter's spine and anger rises in her Sam remembers what Grace said about the body shield that she has to telepathically linked to it. Sam tries to concentrate on the shield but all she can think of is Grace and how she would never get to see her grow up and Jack it would kill him to lose another child.

Just then Sam here's Grace in her head

Just then Jack steps on to the Bridge

He coldly says captain Bridge

For Sam to grap the whip and use it the wave of fire extends with the whip not only Knox the zat gun out of Mark's hand but it strikes him across the face.

Captain Mark Briant drops to the floor screaming in agony.

And as Jack moves in to kill the man who is threatening his family.

Colonel Cameron Mitchell comes in and grabs Jack from behind.

Cam says Jack you can't kill him Sam needs you

Jack looks over to where Sam is crumpled on the floor.

In the next minute Colonel Cameron Mitchell finds him self flying across the room with a very angry red-headed ranger pinning him to the floor with her knee and most of her body wait cutting off his airway.

At that he kicked himself mentally she is the daughter of the general and one of his best friends.

Grace looks down at Cameron Mitchell and says you will regret not letting him kill that bastard.

Just then she fires what looks like a zat from her wrist it hits Briant as he is trying to get to his weapon.

By now Jack has Sam in his arms and is desperately trying to wake her.

I Quickly get off Mitchell and go over to my parents

As I kneel down my father says I can't wake her.

I use my body shield to link with hers.

I say she's exhausted mentally and physically we need to get her to the Infirmary I will need to start her on Iv fluids.

Jack in a move that would be hard for a man 10 years his junior picks Sam up and carries her as if she weighs nothing.

As I follow my parents I look over at Cameron and with Venom in my voice I say I'll send Doctor lam to look at him when she is done send him back to the planet with some medical supplies or you can save us all a lot of trouble and shove that monster out a airlock

Just then Ranger 2 arrives on the bridge she lunges for Briant I step in front of her and say Tisharay I know you want to kill him for what he does to us but we have to let this happen please I need you to move the ship to the new coordinates she just growls and nods.

As I enter the Infirmary I hear doctor Lam swair she says how did colonel Carter get a body shield

I step in and say She is not the only one almost everyone on board now has one here's yours I hand her a flower bracelet and say get this on your going to need it .

Doctor Lams eyes light up and she Quickly puts it on

As I Quickly guide her through basic activation I tell her her body shield is what we call a med unit and I also go over basic instructions on how to use the med bracelet as I work on my mom.

doctor Lam says I feel like a intern again.

I smile and say you only have 2 days to learn all you can we have to face the Covxtly scourge in 2 days me and ranger 2 will work with you as much as we can, But a lot needs to be done before the battle so you will need to apply the Medical knowledge you already have to useing the body Shield.

dr. Lam just nods and grabs a notepad.

Sam slowly opens her eyes a she sees Jack by her side he looks like he has lost his entire world.

Sam says the baby her first thought is that she's lost the baby.

I walk up and say I'm fairly certain the baby is fine but would you like to see they both shake their heads yes

Just then Daniel and Val walk in

I say Daniel Val we were just about to check on my fetal development.

I look at my parents did I mention ancient pregnancys are only about 5 months so fetal development is a bit more fast-paced with them, especially within the first 3 months of pregnancy

after that you will see the development of the fetus slow down to a more normal rate of growth.

I look over at dr. Lam and see her taking vigorous notes.

I look at my mom for permission and as she nods I place my hand on her abdomen I concentrate .

Light appears to come from the tattoo on my wrist

A 3 dimensional holographic image appears of a fetus about the 4 week gestational marker.

The room is silent as I project the babys heart beat in to the speakers in the med bay.

I look up to a room full of smiles and say see healthy and strong.

Daniel looks at Jack and Sam and says congratulations.

I look at my mother and say colonel I suggest you go back to your quarters and get some rest I turn to my dad and say try mint tea and toast to get some food in her she will need to consume twice as many calories as with a normal pregnancy.
