Chapter 8: Kids See Ghosts, Part 1
~6:45PM~
Jolanta and Kwiat were walking down a street. It was night. The girls were searching for Rostek.
"Rostek!" Kwiat hollered. "Where are you?!"
"Rostek is the leader of this team of your's, right?" Jolanta said.
"Yes. Yes he is. I hope he's not under the control of that terrible organization…"
Watching the two girls, two younger humans, one boy and one girl were thinking of something.
"Those two…" The boy said. "Can they help out big brother?"
"They might…" The girl replied. "But… Our powers… We share them… They are only close-ranged…"
"I have an idea."
"Tell me the idea."
Back to Jolanta and Kwiat, they then heard a trash can tumbling over.
"The hell?" Kwiat said as she saw the trash can tumbling over.
"Was it some sort of ghost?" Jolanta wonders.
"If it was a ghost, then I'd be paranoid as hell! But, I can't even see one…"
"You believe in ghosts, do you?"
"I do! It's just very difficult to see one!"
Jolanta and Kwiat then heard "Ooing" sound. Kwiat jumped.
"AAAH!" Kwiat shouted as she started to shake. "G-G-Ghosts scare me… I don't like them one bit!"
"Oooooooooo…"
"I can hear it too." Jolanta said. "It is a ghost… However, where the hell is this ghost?"
"Oooooooooo…"
Kwiat started to get chills.
"I can't… Ghosts terrify me…" Kwiat said as she then gulped. "Looks like it's up to you, Jolanta."
Jolanta then sighed.
"Alright, leave it to me." Jolanta said.
Jolanta then saw a ghost in the air all of a sudden.
"Kwiat! Cover your eyes!" Jolanta shouted.
Kwiat nodded as she then covered her eyes with her hands.
"Don't look at it." Jolanta said. "Don't uncover your eyes."
"I won't look at it…" Kwiat said. "And I won't uncover my eyes…"
Jolanta looks at the ghost. The ghost looks at Jolanta.
"It looks feminine…" Jolanta said. "So the User… She's gotta be hiding somewhere…"
"I am here." A feminine voice said.
Jolanta then turned around to see a girl behind her and jumped.
"Gah! You scared me!" Jolanta shouted.
"Jolanta! What got you?!" Kwiat shouted as she uncovered her eyes.
"Kwiat! Keep your eyes covered!"
"She shouldn't have uncovered her eyes…" The girl said. "Her fear of ghosts made this whole thing worse…"
Kwiat covered her eyes again.
"Sorry! Got curious…" Kwiat said.
"Never mind…" The girl said. "Karma will get you eventually…"
"What are you talking about?!" Jolanta shouted.
"We all see ghosts… And for kids like myself, we see ghosts sometimes, don't we?"
"Huh?"
The girl chuckled.
"That's the name of my Stand, Kids See Ghosts." She said. "My name is Wida. Wida Gallas."
"Gallas? You're related to Rostek?!" Kwiat shouted as she uncovered her eyes again.
"AH! You uncovered your eyes again!"
Kids See Ghosts then appeared behind Kwiat.
"Kwiat! Don't turn around!" Jolanta shouted as Cherry Bomb emerged to attack Kids See Ghosts, but Cherry Bomb's fist phased through Kids See Ghosts. "Fuck! Forgot her Stand is a LITERAL ghost!"
"Jolanta? What the hell is-" Kwiat said as she turned around to see Kids See Ghosts looking at her. "GAAAAAH! GHOST!"
Kids See Ghosts then phased through Kwiat to steal her soul. The soul then turned into a ghost version of Kwiat. Kwiat's body then fell to the ground, lifeless and soulless.
"Looks like Kids See Ghosts made your soul free…" Wida said.
Kwiat looks at herself in her ghost form.
"GAAAH! I'M A GHOST NOW!" Kwiat shouted.
Jolanta looked at Kwiat and Kids See Ghosts.
"Kwiat! Shit! Put her soul back in her body!" Jolanta shouted at Wida.
"You'll be able to if you accept this challenge that me and my twin brother set up." Wida said. "The challenge to help big brother Rostek."
"Help?!"
"H-Help?" Kwiat said.
"What help do you even need?!"
"Hmm… I'll tell you when we get to Upio, my twin brother." Wida replied.
"And she has a twin brother…" Jolanta said with a heavy sigh. "Alright, just don't try to steal my soul, though."
Wida smiled.
"Consider yourself lucky." Wida said. "For now."
