We then cut to the beach where the Gophers and Bass were with Chris who was about to explain the next challenge.
Chris: Bass, Gophers, today's challenge is a true summer camp experience. A canoe trip. You'll be paddling your canoes across the lake... [spookily] to Boney Island! When you get there, you must portage your canoes to the other side of the island, which is about a two-hour hike through treacherous, dense jungle.
Scott: Por-what exactly?
Chris: "Portage", walk with your canoe.
Scott: Oh, continue.
Chris: When you arrive at the other end of the island, you'll build a rescue fire that will be judged by me. The first team to paddle home and return their canoes to the beach is the winner of invincibility! Move, campers, move! Oh, wait! One more thing I should mention. Legend has it, if you take anything off the island, [spooky voice] you'll be cursed, forever.
Sammy:(sweating) A cursed island?
Heather: Relax Sammy curses aren't real.
Chris: Now, get in your canoes and let's have some fun!
Confessional:
Mike: Chris told us to pick a paddle partner. It was time for me to make my move. I knew if I could get Zoey alone for five minutes maybe I could get to know her better.
Confessional Ends
Mike: Hey Zoey, wanna be my partner?
Zoey: Sure Mike.
Sammy smiles at this exchange knowing Zoey and Mike would get to know each other better.
Trent and Gwen are about to pick a canoe partner when they bump into each other and awkwardly stare at each other.
Trent: Uh Gwen…hey...so..uh.
Cody then taps Gwen on the back and she looks at him.
Cody: Uh hey Gwen I just wanna ask if you wanna be my paddle partner.
Gwen: Y'know what sure why not.
Confessional:
Cody: Yes! Yes! Yes! Maybe I got a shot with her after all. I just gotta tone down the Code-mister act.
Gwen: Cody, he's alright once he stops being a pervert, besides I needed a way out of that awkward moment with Trent.
Confessional Ends
Sammy: Hey Trent wanna be partners?
Trent: Sure.
Heather, Justin, and Amy see that they're the only ones left.
Justin: Well I guess we're the only ones left.
Amy: Ugh fine.
Heather: Whatever.
Brick and Jasmine were looking around until Jo showed up.
Jo:C'mon maggots your my paddle partners let's go.
Brick: Yes ma'am.
Jasmine: Alright we're coming.
Confessional:
Jasmine: Jo's a bit pushy but she's not so bad, she can actually be quite chill sometimes.

Alejandro: Sam, need a partner?
Sam: Oh thanks man.
Duncan and Scott realize they were the only ones left.
Scott: Guess it's just you and me.
Duncan: Whatever man.
Cody was then seen trying to pull a canoe in the water.
Cody: (grunts and pants) It's okay. I've got it. [grunting]
Gwen: Do you want my help?
Cody: Nah, nah. (grunting loudly)
Everyone's canoe is now in the water and Chris is holding up a pistol.
Chris: On your marks, get set, paddle!
Chris then fires the pistol in the air while everyone begins paddling.
Cody and Gwen are seen paddling together when Cody decides to ask a question.
Cody: So, do you wanna go out sometime?
Gwen: No.
Cody:(sighs) Figured, I thought I might as well ask.
Trent and Sammy are then paddling together.
Trent: Hey Sammy can I ask you something, at first I thought me and Gwen were tight but now she's been ignoring me.
Sammy: Well did you do something that might have upset her.
Trent: Well I did forget to uh dig her up from the ground last challenge.
Sammy: No wonder she's mad, look if you apologize I think she'll talk to you again.
Trent: Yeah I thought about doing that but I felt so awkward about it and at some point I forgot to do so.
Confessional:
Sammy: Trent's a nice guy and all but how do you forget about something like that? Is that too mean, sorry Trent.
Confessional Ends
We then cut back to Gwen and Cody.
Cody: I think I know why you don't wanna go out with me, is it because of Trent?
Gwen widens her eyes at this question.
Gwen: Not really, I'm not sure if you noticed but I'm really mad at him after the whole burying me alive thing.
Cody: Oh okay.
Gwen: Well maybe I may be into him but I'm not sure if he's into me.
Cody: Well maybe you should spend more time with him, I'll put in a good word for you if you want.
Gwen: Wow. That's really cool of you.
Cody: Eh, well.
Gwen: If you can get us in the same boat on the way home, I'll so owe you one.
Cody: I don't really want anything. I just feel like helping out.
We cut to Brick, Jasmine, and Jo together.
Jo: We need to discuss who we're going to eliminate next, I say we vote out Alejandro.
Jasmine: Why him?
Jo: I don't trust him, he is a bit too nice for comfort.
Brick: What do you mean?
Jo: I mean he could be faking it.
Jasmine: Well we don't know that for sure so we should probably not judge.
Jo: Ugh fine.
Fog is then seen throughout the water.
Brick: Uh was that there before?
Jo: Uh no.
Chris(voiceover): You'll be paddling your canoes across the lake... (spooky voice)to Boney Island!
The campers pick up their canoes and begin traversing the island.
Gwen: Let's just get this over with.
The Gophers run ahead of the Bass wen suddenly something is among them.
Cody: Gah I think I saw something.
Monster beavers then start to appear from the shadows.
Cody: Monster beavers!
Confessional:
Chris: A remnant of the Pleistocene Era, the woolly beaver is a day-active rodent indigenous to Boney Island. Oh yeah, and they're meat eaters.
Confessional Ends
The Gophers then run away from the beavers and into the puddles of water where there seems to be a dead end.
Sammy: Oh crud, a dead end.
The monster beavers then leave, relieving the Gophers.
Justin: That was close.
Suddenly gigantic birds show up and begin chasing the Gophers.
The Gophers begin screaming in terror as the birds chase them.
Gwen: Someone do something!
Cody: Oh, wait! Look!(pulls bread from his pockets)
Gwen: Where did that come from?
Cody: I was gonna make us a romantic picnic.
Gwen: With bread from your pants?!
Trent: Just throw it already!
Cody throws the birds the bread which distracts them.
Gwen: It worked.
The Bass are then seen getting ahead of the Gophers.
Heather: C'mon people we gotta go.
We then see the Killer Bass running when they suddenly stop at a fork in the road.
Sam: Which way are we gonna go?
Jo: Left. Definitely left.
Alejandro: I don't know senorita. I think we should take the one on the right.
Jasmine: The right trail is wider.
Alejandro smirks at Jasmine making her blush, Jo glares at what she was seeing.
Jo: Fine we'll go right.
The Killer Bass then go right and the Screaming Gophers
Trent: I can see the other team!
Gwen: They're taking the path on the right.
Trent: Then let's go left!
We then cut to the Screaming Gophers going left when suddenly Trent steps in quicksand
Trent: Whoa. Guys, uh, don't wanna panic here, but I'm shrinking!
Confessional:
Trent: Right. How am I supposed to know what quicksand looks like? It looks just like sand.
Chris(laughs):Can you believe they fell for that?! Haha, I set it up, but I didn't think anyone would walk into it! Haha, that's just great! (laughs)
Confessional Ends
Trent: Help someone help me.
Gwen: Someone do something.
Sammy tries to pull him out but trips and steps in the quicksand.
Sammy: Oops.
Amy: Way to go Samey. That's another screw up.
The team hatefully glares at Amy as Cody then swings on a vine and tried to grab on to Trent's hand but he misses and hits a rock.
The vine then swings onto Trent's hand and he grabs it and pulls him and Sammy up.
Cody then walks over to Trent and Sammy.
Cody: Sorry I screwed up on saving you.
Trent: What do you mean bro, if it weren't for your bravery the vine wouldn't have even made it near us while you may not have completely saved us, you did try.
Sammy: Uh, just a question, when did you learn to do that?
Cody: Oh I watch a lot of movies.
Gwen: This is very touching, guys, but we've still got a challenge to win!
Meanwhile with the Bass Scott and Duncan began discussing.
Scott: Brick, Jasmine, and Jo seem to be very chummy.
Duncan(skeptical): Yeah they sure do.
Scott: What's wrong man?
Duncan: I'm thinking, what if they have an alliance or something.
Scott: Really I was gonna way the same thing.
Scott secretly smirks while Duncan isn't looking.
Duncan: Yeah I mean think about it those guys are super tight, we could've in big trouble later on.
Scott: You're right we gotta convince Sam and Alejandro to vote out one of them.
Duncan: One problem dude, Sam hates me.
Scott: Relax man, I'll talk to him for you.
Confessional:
Duncan: Scott's okay, I'm not sure I trust him that much, he's a bit shifty. I might be wrong about this jock alliance but if the thought of one keeps me in the game I'm cool with it.
Scott: So change of plans I plan on targeting that jock alliance, if we don't vote one of those three out, I'm screwed.
Confessional Ends
Soon all the campers made it to the end of Boney Island and the Screaming Gophers soon saw the Bass' fire all lit up.
Heather: How did they do that so quickly?
Duncan showed his lighter with a smirk.
Chris: No rule against carrying lighters. Edge, Killer Bass.
Alejandro then saw a tiki idol on the ground and began pondering.
Flashback:
Chris: If you take anything off the island you'll be cursed forever.
Flashback Ends
Alejandro then smirks as he puts the idol in his pocket.
Trent and Cody then began leaning on big boulders.
Trent: Thanks for saving my butt, man.
Cody: Just lookin' out for a fellow Gopher.
Cody then pops a soda can open.
Cody: Want a sip?
Trent: Nah, I'm good.
Cody: Trent, let's talk. Mano y mano.
Trent: O-Okay. What do you wanna talk about?
Cody: Gwen. See, I hit on her, but I struck out. A-A few times. The point is, she's not into me. She's into you.
Trent: Really so what should I do?
Cody: Well, I'll tell you, Trent. Here's how I'd play it.
Heather: Ladies, are you almost finished with your tea party, we're in the middle of a challenge.
We then cut to the Gophers where they were trying to start a fire.
Amy: Ugh this is impossible.
Amy then threw the flint to Sammy who used it and then a fire immediately started.
Sammy: Wow I did it.
Amy: Ugh whatever you just got lucky.
Duncan then used his lighter again and the fire grew enormous.
Chris: Whee-hee-hee! We have our fire-building winner! Point for the Bass!
Jo: C'mon team, we gotta go.
The Bass then begin leaving and the Gophers then follow.
Cody: Guys, since you're both a bit shaken by the whole quicksand thing, we should split you up. How 'bout I go with Sammy, and Gwen can paddle back with Trent?
Trent: Sounds cool.
Trent and Gwen then leave while Cody gives them a thumbs up.
The Gophers and Bass began paddling back to the camp, the first ones to make it back were Brick, Jasmine, and Jo, next were Heather, Justin, and Amy, then were Scott and Duncan, then Gwen and Trent it was close but the last ones to show up were…
Alejandro and Sam.
Chris: The Bass are the winners!
The Killer Bass then cheered while Amy then walked up to Sammy and Cody.
Amy: You two cost us the game, you're so gone.
Cody and Sammy recoiled in fear and suddenly a tiki idol fell out of Cody's pocket.
Amy: What is this?
Cody: I don't know.
Chris: Dude that's from Boney Island, the place I told you not to take anything from or you'll be cursed.
Cody: What? But I didn't put it in my pocket.
Amy: Pfft liar. I think we all know who to vote for.
Cody: Wait I can put it back, don't worry, I'll just take a quick trip and put it back on the island.
Sammy: I'll go with you so you can paddle easier.
Cody then ran to a canoe and put the idol in his pocket and along with Sammy they paddle to Boney Island.
Soon Heather, Sammy, and Cody began having an alliance meeting in the Mess Hall.
Heather: Okay something fishy is going on because you said you didn't put the idol in your pocket.
Cody: Yuh-huh, someone had to have put them in my pocket.
Sammy: It was probably Amy.
Heather: Hmm, regardless we should probably convince people to vote out Amy just in case.
Cody: Understood.
Chris: And now, the always anxiety-inducing marshmallow ceremony. When I call your name, come and get a marshmallow. Zoey. Trent. Gwen. Justin. Heather. Mike. Sammy. One last marshmallow. The person who doesn't get this marshmallow will walk off the Dock of Shame and take a ride on the Boat of Losers. Who's it gonna be? The last marshmallow goes to…
Cody began biting his nails while Amy was smirking at the geek.

Chris: Amy.
Heather: What you guys voted out Cody over Amy.
Gwen: Sorry Heather I didn't want to but he cursed us.
Trent: Sorry bro but Amy made some valid points, you might have some lingering curse vibes so we had to get rid of you.
Cody then sighed before leaving.
Cody: I understand goodbye.
Cody then left with his head held low, as Alejandro is then seen in the bushes smirking.
Flashback:
Alejandro was seen placing the idol in Cody's pocket while he was walking away with Trent then snuck away unseen.

Confessional:
Alejandro: All according to plan. I don't believe in curses but as long as those idiotas do, then it'll all be worth it.

Cody is then seen tearing up as he walked to the Dock of Shame.
Confessional:
Heather: Ugh, that conniving little… if that evil little cow thinks she can eliminate my allies she has another thing coming.

Well, didn't expect Cody to be cut so soon, did you? Let this be a sign that anyone could be cut even my favorites.

For real though I did not have many plans for Cody in future episodes, I wanted him there to be Sammy and Zoey's friend and Heather's ally. His rivalry with Mike may have been OOC and I apologize for that but I figured he wouldn't like seeing his friend be played. Also he is one of the characters to get Heather to open up and become more friendly. I'm sad to eliminate him but in the end it had to be done.
