"DAMIAN, PUT DOWN THAT KATANA RIGHT NOW! "

Jason managed to dodge the blow, alerted by Marinette's scream. He hadn't been able to close his eyes for a while.

The reason?

Damian had decided to kill him.

The boy saw Marinette as a second mother, so when he learned she was pregnant, he decided Jason was the one at fault. He had no desire to have someone steal his throne as the youngest member of the family. Furthermore, he had never approved of Jason and Marinette's relationship, feeling that Jason was not worthy of his "big sister" ( to avoid saying " mom ").

Marinette was now at the end of her pregnancy. They had both decided to stay in their apartment, even though it was located near Crime Alley. This part of the city was their territory. They were not going to desert the place because they were going to have a child together, otherwise what was the purpose of their mission if not to allow everyone to live in safety?

The baby's room was already ready. They had decided not to know the sex of the baby in advance. It would be a surprise when the baby was born. The room had been decorated in a neutral tone. The room was white and light gray.

Everything was fine. The whole family was excited to welcome the first baby. Alfred had already told them that Bruce had prepared a special room at the Manor. Speaking of the Manor, it had already been completely secured for the baby... (And he wasn't even born yet!). Dick had already had fun finding everyone's uniform in miniature. Tim had been the one to help paint the room with Duke. The girls had helped find clothes.

"Tristan. His name will be Tristan. "

Jason was seriously tired. He had hardly slept because his daughter was crying so much. And now his entire family had landed in Paris (except for Cass, Steph and Barbara who had stayed behind to protect Gotham). The only one who didn't say anything was Bruce.

He was afraid Bruce would find out about Marinette's secret and try to stop her. Just because he was tolerant of Selina didn't mean he would be tolerant of Marinette. Especially since she was Jason's wife.

He was afraid they would try to separate them. That they would make Marinette leave because she was too good for him.

He was afraid Marinette would leave if she saw what the family, he had grown up in was like.

It was his own insecurities that had led him to this situation. And frankly, he didn't know how to break the ice now. He wasn't even sure he wanted to. Jason really loved Sabine and Tom. They were great people. He loved Marinette's friends.

The silence was really starting to feel heavy.

Marinette had just appeared. She looked at Jason, who had little Emma in his arms. Then she looked at Bruce and the others, then back at Jason.

She rolled her eyes in exasperation. She walked over to them.

Marinette laughed.

It was going to take some time for the pill to pass. But at least Jason could be relieved about one thing: everyone seemed to like Marinette.

Jason watched in disgust as all those crap magazines started false rumors about Bruce. It all started after they crossed paths with a woman named "Vicki Vale". Bruce accompanied Jason and Marinette on their way to the doctor's office so Marinette could have her ultrasound. From there, the woman who turned out to be a reporter came out with an article the next day about Bruce Wayne adopting a pregnant minor. From there, the craziest rumors started to spread. Now, some people were demanding that it be proven that the baby Marinette was carrying was not Bruce's.

It was so serious, that now social services were involved. There was a chance that Bruce would lose custody of Marinette, Cass and Tim. All because of a f*cking b*tch who had nothing else to do all day but pull bullsh*t stories out of her a**! There was also a chance that his adoption by Alfred would be rescinded.

Bruce had told them not to worry. But the way things were going, he could ONLY worry.

Seriously, had this woman given any thought to the consequences of her actions?

All this stress was bad for Marinette. She had to stay in bed all day because there was a chance she would miscarry.

Dick had been staying at the manor lately. Tim adored him and spent a lot of time with him. Cass was pretty indifferent. She didn't seem to like him as much as Tim did, but didn't seem to hate him either. Then there was the blonde, Steph, who lived with her mother, so she wasn't around during the day. However, they communicated by message (Bruce had given them all a phone). Steph was equally scandalized by the rumors.

Jason kept his distance and spent all his time with Marinette. He wasn't a very social person at first glance. Although he loved Tim and Cass very much, he had originally accepted them only for Marinette. He had overcome everything with this girl by his side, so he was willing to accept anything she asked for.

Jason loved Cass and Tim as if they were his siblings. And now he had learned to respect Bruce as well. The man was perhaps the closest thing he'd had to a father figure.

He felt guilty and he knew very well that Marinette felt guilty too. Bruce had given them more than they could ever hope for and now they were hurting their savior.

Life was truly full of injustice.

Finally, Alfred and Dick invited them all to come and watch an interview Bruce was going to give about the scandal. There were two reporters asking questions: Lois Lane and Clark Kent.

Marinette was sitting against him, with her head on his shoulder. They had their fingers intertwined. Cass was lying with her head on Marinette's lap. Tim was on Jason's left side with his head resting against his chest. Jason had a hand placed on Tim's shoulders to hold him close and provide comfort to the boy.

"I met my current children after Batman saved them from Black Mask. Marinette is an orphan. She was abused by the parent who was taking care of her. The foster family that took her in abused her to the point that she preferred to live on the streets of Gotham. Jason also had a similar situation, with no parent to care for him and an abusive foster family he had no choice but to survive on his own. Cass was abandoned on the streets by her parents and Tim was abandoned by his parents alone in his home while they traveled the world. "

Marinette was able to give birth to her baby quietly. It was a cute little girl.

They decided to name her Marianne Jayne Wayne-Pennyworth. Marinette didn't want to keep her original name because it brought back bad memories. Jason felt the same way. He didn't want his child to have the last name of a guy like his biological father.

Bonus: A few hours after Bruce got everyone back to the Mansion.

Everyone was already in bed. Alfred joined Bruce in the Bat-cave. Bruce was looking at the computer screen with a very serious look on his face. It was the result of a test Bruce had done when he realized that there were kids playing hero in his town. Bruce tried to find out who these kids were and what they wanted. The screen showed four results:

- Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Current age 17. Parents: Sabine Cheng and Thomas Dupain (deceased). Status: reported missing for 9 years.

- Cassandra. Current age unknown. Parents: Sandra Wu-San and David Cain. Status: unknown to the system.

- Timothy Jackson Drake. Current age 14. Parents: Janet Drake and Jack Drake. Status: reported missing for 3 years.

- Jason Peter Todd. Current age 17. Parents: Bruce Wayne and Sheila Haywood. Status: reported missing for 10 years.

Alfred looked at the screen pensively. He remembered that after seeing these results, Bruce had run 10 different tests on young Jason's DNA. They all came back the same. Alfred wasn't that surprised. When Bruce was young, he was a real womanizer. As an adult, he hadn't changed his attitude much.

"Sir, one day you're going to have to tell him the truth. "

"I know, Alfred. But for now... Let my son enjoy life with his new family for a while. "

Story 4

Tim was supposed to be on vacation with his friends. He needed to be as far away from Gotham as possible.

Jason's death had been a bombshell for everyone. Jason had died a second time, this time at the hands of his own adoptive father. When Tim saw the video circulating on the internet, he thought it was a bad joke. He tried to prove by all means that it was a fake. Unfortunately, he couldn't prove that the video was authentic or that it was fake.

There was also a big mystery: who had taken the video? Why hadn't this person done anything?

And there was one piece of compelling evidence: Jason's body.

Batman didn't kill. He had faced criminals who deserved a fate worse than death and he never killed them. Yet... Batman killed Red Hood.

Bruce had killed Jason.

Batman's credibility took a hit after that video. Some Gothamites wanted Batman arrested, because Red Hood was a symbol for those who lived under oppression. He protected people who were forgotten by society. Some, on the other hand, were satisfied. Batman had done what he had to do. Red Hood was just a dangerous criminal.

Batman was now wanted by the GCPD. He was also at odds with the members of the JL, especially the older ones who knew Red Hood's identity. To them, Batman had crossed a line. It was infanticide. Batman had killed his son.

And the family?

Simple. Everything exploded.

Dick and Bruce got into a violent altercation. Dick hadn't set foot in the manor since.

Barbara had cut ties with Bruce. She felt he had gone too far. Jason was at fault, it was true. But killing him? She couldn't accept that. Bruce hadn't even killed the Joker, who was the cause of her situation, but he had killed Jason? Barbara felt as if Bruce had spit in her face. Jason had his faults, he was violent it was true, but above all he was a victim. He didn't deserve to die like that.

Cassandra left for Hong Kong and cut off all communication with everyone.

Steph joined the Birds of Prey. She didn't want to hear any more about Batman.

Damian returned to his mother. The teenager was simply terrified of his father. If Bruce had been able to kill Jason, then he who was an assassin would surely be next in line. Besides, Damian felt betrayed. He had tried so hard to change to fit in with his father's ideals, all for nothing! He had just wasted his time! He might as well become a complete assassin!

The last he knew, Alfred had left the manor. But nobody really knew where he was.

And there was Tim. He had run away. He went to take refuge with his friend Kon. Tim felt as if his whole world had collapsed. He had sacrificed part of his life for Batman! He had given everything for Bruce fucking Wayne. It was as if everything he believed in didn't make sense anymore.

He had fallen into a deep depression after these events.

Kon and the others had dragged him to this island so he could get his mind off it. To think of something else.

And now here he was in front of a guy who looked like Jason. No... This guy was Jason. And he was accompanied by a woman who was pregnant!

"I'm sorry, but I think you are mistaking my husband for someone else sir..."

"My wife is right, my name is Jaden, not 'Jason'. But maybe we can help you? "

He turned so pale that he was sure if the wind hit him, he would collapse.

The story would go like this: Jason had a twin brother named Jaden from whom he was separated at birth. A couple who could not have children adopted Jaden and raised him as their own son. He was a brilliant student, went to school just as brilliantly. He was currently a professor of literature. He was an unremarkable guy who had lived a perfectly normal life. He got married a year ago to Marinette Fu.

Then, Marinette contacted the man who had provided her with her Miraculous. A certain Wang Fu. This man had been kidnapped at a very young age to become an assassin. His entire family was slaughtered by men who called themselves "the Guardians". Wang grew up with a huge grudge against the Guardian organization. When he was strong enough, he killed all the members of the organization, then continued his work as an assassin in the shadows. But this time, instead of working for criminals, he killed them.

Wang and Marinette met when Marinette's parents fell victim to the whims of a certain Chloe Bourgeois, a rich kid who saw people as servants. Because Marinette's parents refused to change the color of their bakery to yellow as Chloe wanted, the brat sank the bakery. She then prevented Marinette's parents from finding work by blacklisting them. The couple made a terrible decision: to end their day. Not wanting to leave their daughter alone in the world, they took her with them. They decided to die in a car accident. Sadly, Marinette survived. At the same time, Wang, who was in the city to eliminate the Bourgeois family, witnessed an interesting scene. Marinette, angry that her parents had died because of Chloe's whims, wanted her to pay for her crimes. Two sentimonsters would be sent back in time to become "Jaden's" adoptive parents. One sentimonsters would represent "Jaden" since his childhood and would disappear once his work was completed. Then a sentimonsters with the power to change memory. The mission of this sentimonsters was to implant false memories in all those who had been in contact with Jason's parents and Jason's biological mother, but also to create Jaden's "life" (people had to remember having been in class with him, having spoken to him, etc.). Finally, something had to be done about Jason's "body". That body was already gone. That's why there was one last sentimonster created, so that it could discreetly create a clone of Jason's body and place it in the coffin once the magic stopped working.

They were all sent back in time with the Miraculous of the rabbit.

The effect was immediate. The sentimonsters that were supposed to represent "Jaden" appeared before them and then disappeared completely. Its role had been fulfilled. Jason found himself with the sentimonsters memories. This gave him a severe headache. But they were satisfied.

The sentimonsters who were supposed to be "Jaden's" parents contacted Natalie. They too were fulfilling their role to perfection.

They had succeeded in changing the course of time. All that remained was to cast a spell on Jason, now "Jaden", so that no one could read his body language. And if anyone were to read his mind, it would be "Jaden's" memories that would be seen.

Just as the couple had anticipated, Tim wasn't alone. He was with his longtime friends. When the group of young people saw them, they began to ask a lot of questions. Tim even gave them a wild excuse to get Jason to give him his DNA: he was looking for his missing brother and "Jaden" looked exactly like him.

Marinette had her child. A little boy named Nathan Castiel Fu Lenoir (last name chosen for "Jaden").

Going on missions became much more difficult with so many people watching over them. It was at times like these that Jason and Marinette were glad to have friends. Thanks to everyone's efforts, especially with Alya and Nathalie covering their rear, Marinette and Jason were able to continue their activities as Viperion and Cat Noir. Sure, they couldn't go out as often as they used to, but at least having their child didn't stop them from fighting their battle.

Jason and Marinette would have to live the rest of their lives acting out. Was it hard? Not at all. They could do it.

Jason wanted to hurt the people who were supposed to be "his family". Seeing them all so broken gave him a deep sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. He watched them destroy each other.

Bruce had killed Jason and Jaden had taken his place. And now Jaden was going to kill Batman. And he had the most lovable and dangerous assassin on his side to do it.

Nathan, Marinette and Jason's son will continue their fight. He would take on the name Red Hood in honor of his "uncle" and vow to persecute the Bat-family, even though he knew the truth very well. However, having an extremely twisted mentality because of his parents, he will do this just "for fun".
