POV - Henrik

During the afternoon break, some people were commenting in the hallways of the school that Lizzie had punched my sister in the nose and I know Hope answered, because obviously she would not let this pass even though Lizzie is the twin sister of her 'crush'. I also heard that Mr. Saltzman had suspended them both for this and that my parents had come to get her. I just hope my mom doesn't get too mad about Hope because of that. She is furious when my sister has problems at school. With that, the only thing left for me was to wait for time to pass. So when class was finally over, I ran to the gate running, hoping to find my parents. But the only person who was there was my mother, Hayley.

''Hi baby.'' - Mom smiled and hugged me - ''How was class today?'' - She asked, giving me a quick kiss on the head.

''It was cool, as always.'' - I replied, shrugging - ''Where's Daddy?'' - I looked at her as I followed her to the car.

''He's at home with your sister.'' - She said, getting into the car.

''I heard Hope was suspended.'' - I commented like someone who wants nothing, already inside the car.

''Yes, she went.'' - Mom confirmed, letting out a sigh - ''But don't worry, your dad and I already solved that.'' - She looked at me, closing the matter, before starting the car.

I wanted to ask more about my sister, but I also didn't want to get involved in a subject that didn't concern me. Of course, I was worried, after all, nobody likes to see their sister in trouble, but I knew that Mom and Dad were just even when they opted for physical punishment, so I don't know. The truth is, I just wanted to see my sister.

So, when my mom finally parked in the garden of our house, I ran out of the car and headed for our house. I even heard Mom's voice saying that I had forgotten the backpack in the car, but I didn't even care. I just went inside the house and was ready to go up to my sister's room, when I bumped into someone.

''Henrik!'' - I heard Hope's voice and looked up to look at her - ''Look where you walk.'' - She scolded me, but I didn't even care. All I did was smile and hug her tightly. - ''What gave you, boy?'' - She asked between the hug, but I saw that she was smiling.

''I was worried.'' - I said, sincerely - ''Everyone at school was talking about your fight with Lizzie Saltzman.'' - I told her and she looked at me.

''Serious? And what did they say?'' - She asked, raising her eyebrows.

''That she practically broke her nose.'' - I answered and she snorted.

''What a slander.'' - I looked at her and she rolled her eyes - ''How do people say such a thing?'' - She complained, indignant - ''Everyone knows that I just didn't end up with Lizzie, because she is Josie's sister.'' - Hope continued and I smiled.

''I heard that, girl.'' - Mom came into the room suddenly, carrying my backpack on my back.

''I'm just kidding, mom.'' - My sister explained and mommy looked at her.

''I know...'' - She smiled wryly and Hope laughed - ''And Henrik...'' - Mom called to me, turning to look at me - ''Then put your backpack in your room, okay?'' - She said, placing my backpack on the sofa.

''Okay, mommy.'' - I nodded, looking at her.

''Why did you come into the house so fast?'' - Mom asked and I looked at her - ''Is all this missing your sister?'' - She joked and Hope laughed.

''It's because you always get so mad when Hope has problems at school that I...'' - I was going to explain, but Hope cut me off.

''Oh, don't worry, bro.'' - She laughed, looking at me - ''My ass was safe this time.'' - Hope counted and I looked at her.

''Really?'' - I gave a smile and Hope nodded.

''You are so silly.'' - My mother looked at us, rolling her eyes - ''By the way, where is your dad?'' - She asked, specifically to Hope.

''He's in the studio painting.'' - Hope replied, looking at her.

''And why aren't you with daddy?'' - I turned to look at her, raising my eyebrows at her. My sister loves to paint, especially with our dad.

''Because Mom and Dad grounded me, so I'm forbidden to do everything I like.'' - She blew out a breath, looking frustrated.

''Mom, this is unfair.'' - I said, leaving in defense of my sister and turning to look at my mother - ''Lizzie is always teasing Hope, besides she was the one who started.'' - I continued and I saw my sister smiling at me for trying to defend her.

''That's what I said.'' - Hope raised her hands up and gave my mom a small smile.

''I'm glad you're trying to defend your sister, honey, but both you and her know that fights are unacceptable.'' - Mom said and Hope snorted - ''And Hope hurt Lizzie too.'' - She added, looking from me to my sister.

''If Hope hurt Lizzie, I think it's very well done.'' - I looked at her, crossing my arms.

''Henrik.'' - My mother spoke my name, scolding me with her eyes.

''Let it go, bro.'' - Hope interfered, looking at me - ''In fact, I think staying on vacation from school for 5 days isn't so bad.'' - She smiled and I laughed.

''Hope.'' - My mom gave him a serious look, but my sister just looked at her like she asked 'What did I do?'

''I don't like Lizzie now.'' - I commented, wanting to lighten the mood - ''Nobody can punch my sister.'' - I continued and Hope looked at me - ''Just me.'' - I completed, opening a smile.

''I would like to see you try.'' - Hope teased and I punched her lightly in the arm, which made her laugh.

''Okay, I think now you are back to normal.'' - My mother rolled her eyes, before smiling - ''Now can any of you go and call your dad so he can prepare dinner?'' - She asked and I jumped up, raising my arm high.

''I'll go I'll go!'' - I spoke excitedly, before running up the stairs and heading towards my father's art studio.

POV - Josie

The dinner we were having as a family was the quietest thing in the world. Lizzie didn't speak to me and still looked upset with my dad. I had nothing to talk to my father about and I also wanted to make room for Lizzie, and my father realized that we weren't talking and preferred not to interfere. Seriously, it was at those times that I missed my mom. She was sure to make us understand each other. So I just shrugged my shoulders and went back to eating. That was when I felt my cell phone vibrating around my waist, indicating that I had received a message. I know that Dad didn't like us to use his cell phone during dinner, but I didn't even care and I just took out my cell phone to read the message. It was Kaleb's.

'Hey Jo. Are we going to a party at the old mill? Me, MG and Jed are going to pick you up with my car.'

A party? It wouldn't even be a bad idea. I really needed to cool my head after my argument with Lizzie. Not to mention that I could invite Hope to come with us and then we could really have fun. I do not know. Maybe it's a good idea. So, thinking about it, I broke into a smile and quickly typed in the answer to Kaleb.

'I'm in, Kaleb. Pick me up in thirty minutes, please. Escape through the window, as usual.'

It isn't that Alaric forbade me to go out or anything, but it is that if I said I was going out with MG, Kaleb and Jed in the middle of Friday night, he would probably suspect that there was a party going on at school of him and then he would definitely end it all. Dad was the director, after all. He couldn't just allow these things. And since I wasn't sleeping at school today, I had no option but to run out the window so he wouldn't be suspicious of the party. Not that Dad was going to find me, of course. Lizzie and I have done this several times and he never found out. In fact, when my father slept, it was very difficult to wake him up. Only if we really made a lot of noise.

''Josie, how many times have your mom and I asked you two not to touch your cell phone during dinner?'' - Dad scolded me, letting out a breath.

''You two why? I did nothing!'' - Lizzie complained, dramatically.

''You're right, sweetie, I'm sorry.'' - He smiled kindly at her, but my sister just snorted.

''I'm sorry, Dad.'' - I apologized and he looked at me - ''It's just that I'm a little sick.'' - I lied, looking at him - ''Can I go to my room to rest?'' - I asked, biting my lip.

''Oh, my love...'' - Daddy got up from the chair immediately, softening his expression and going to me - ''Are you sure you don't have a fever too?'' - He put his hand on my forehead, looking concerned.

''I don't have a fever, daddy, just a little nauseous.'' - I continued with the lie and he sighed.

''All is well then.'' - He kissed the top of my head and I got up from the dinner table - ''But if you feel worse, let me know, please.'' - Dad requested and I nodded.

''Good rest, Jo.'' - Lizzie spoke with all the irony in the world, but luckily Dad didn't even notice. Probably the boys had invited her to the mill party, too, but after what happened, our father probably must have grounded my sister too, and she sure as hell wouldn't want to put her ass on the prize again.

With that, I just gave an ironic smile in response that fortunately was not noticed by my father either and went up to my room. I didn't have to worry about Lizzie. As angry as she is, she would never tell on me. That was our main deal. I covered for her and she covered for me. Simple. So when I got to my room, I just sat on my bed and pulled out my cell phone to call Hope. I really wanted her to go to the party with me.

''Josie?'' - I heard her voice on the other end of the line. To my happiness, she practically answered on the first ring.

''Hi, Hope.'' - I spoke shyly, biting my lip.

''I'm surprised by your call.'' - She confessed and I laughed.

''Why?'' - I asked, laughing.

''Because I had a fight with your twin sister, so I swore you were upset with me.'' - She spoke and I could imagine her biting her own lip on the other end of the line.

''Can I switch to video calling?'' - I asked, playing with my fingers on my lip.

''Okay.'' - She replied and I immediately selected the video option on my cell phone.

''Do I look like I'm mad?'' - I gave a smile, I can already see Hope on the screen of my cell phone.

''Mad not, but beautiful you are for sure.'' - Hope gave a naughty smile emphasizing the 'for sure' and I blushed.

''It saw? That's why I hadn't made a video call before.'' - I complained and covered the camera of my cell phone with my hand so that she could not see me.

''Please, let me see you.'' - Hope spoke in a voice so cute that I just couldn't resist, taking my hand off the camera right away. - ''Better that way.'' - She looked at me with a smile.

''But how are you?'' - I asked, looking at her.

''I'm fine, actually.'' - She replied and I smiled.

''And your hand?'' - I asked, worried. During the fight, Lizzie had burned her hand for real. I know she was Hope Mikaelson and had probably already healed, but I still just decided to ask.

''Don't worry, Josie, I've already healed.'' - Exactly as I thought. - ''Just like my nose.'' - Hope continued, running the finger on the tip of her nose - ''Although I must admit that your sister has a good right punch.'' - She completed with a laugh and I smiled.

''You are so silly.'' - I looked at her and Hope laughed more - ''But what about your parents? Were they comfortable with the suspension?'' - I asked and she blew out a breath.

''Not exactly.'' - Hope grimaced and I raised my eyebrows at her - ''I'm grounded until my suspension is over.'' - She counted and I looked at her.

''What a shit, Hope Mikaelson.'' - I complained and this time it was she who raised her eyebrows at me, strang my reaction. - ''It's just that I wanted to invite you to go to the party that is happening there at the old mill.'' - I explained and she smiled.

''Did you or do you still want to?'' - Hope teased, taking a bite of her lip. Which was pretty sexy, I confess.

''I still want it, obviously.'' - I said and she laughed.

''You know...'' - Hope started, looking at me - ''The boys just sent me a message inviting me to this same party.'' - She said, which made me laugh.

''And what did you say?'' - I asked, between laughs.

''That I couldn't go, because I was grounded.'' - She replied and I pouted.

''In that case, it's a shame.'' - I sighed in defeat - ''I think we'll see you next week then.'' - Concludes and Hope snorted.

''No way.'' - She shook her head, looking at me - ''I'm going to this party with you anyway.'' - Hope stated and I raised my eyebrows at her.

''But you are not grounded?'' - I looked at her and she laughed.

''Yes, but so what?'' - She challenged and I sighed.

''I don't want you to get in trouble because of me.'' - I said, seriously.

''I'm only going to get into trouble if my dad and mom catch me, so relax.'' - Hope looked at me, shrugging.

''And how do you hope to trick two hybrids, one of which is a thousand-year-old original hybrid?'' - I asked and she laughed.

''When I'm grounded, I always go to sleep early.'' - Hope told me, looking at me - ''So it's just me pretending I'm already asleep that's okay.'' - She explained with a smile - ''Besides, my parents must be watching Netflix with my brother now, they literally won't even notice if I escape through the window.'' - Hope completed and I rolled my eyes.

''You're crazy, Hope Mikaelson.'' - I bit my lip and I looked at her with a smile.

I say that, because I really doubted she wouldn't get caught. Her parents are hybrids. There is no way for them not to discover that she escaped punishment.

''What can I say?'' - Hope smirked and looked at me - ''For you, I get in trouble, Josie Saltzman.'' - She blinked and my cheeks flushed immediately.

Hope Mikaelson had a gift for making me ashamed.

''Why do you always do that?'' - I covered my face with one hand, which made her laugh.

''You look even more beautiful when you're ashamed.'' - Hope teased and I covered the camera on my cell phone again.

''Can you stop, please?'' - I asked, still with flushed cheeks.

''Okay, I'll stop, I promise.'' - She promised and again I uncapped the camera from my cell phone.

We looked for a few seconds through the cell phone screen, until I finally said:

''See you in a little while, then?'' - I smiled, biting my lip.

''Surely.'' - Hope smiled in response before I ended the call.

I know I should have tried to convince Hope not to escape punishment, but I wanted to see her so badly and I wanted to cool my head so much after my argument with Lizzie that for the first time, I just decided to think about myself . In addition, she seemed experienced in the matter of escaping punishment. Hopefully, Klaus and Hayley won't even notice that she left the house. Well... It's better not think about it. Let's just enjoy the party and that's it. Especially because I think being a normal teenager for one night shouldn't be such a bad thing, is it?

POV - Hope

After dinner, I just decided to go to my room and stay there. Being grounded was definitely shit. I had nothing to do. The luck is that my parents hadn't taken out my cell phone either, so at least I could call Stanley or Josie to pass the time. I sighed, lying on my bed, when I felt my cell phone vibrating. It was a message from Kaleb inviting me to a school party. Actually, I would even like to go, but I didn't want to risk my ass because of some party. So I just replied that I was grounded and that I couldn't go.

However, things changed when Josie Saltzman called me inviting me to that same party. The thing I wanted most was to see her. I really wanted to see her. Maybe it was a little risky to escape punishment, but I could certainly handle it. It's not like I never did that before. I've already managed to escape punishment without my parents realizing it, so what's the harm in doing it again? With that, I just decided to type another message to Kaleb, this time saying I was going and sending him my home address. He quickly replied:

'That's the spirit, Mikaelson. We'll be waiting for you at the corner of your house in fifteen minutes.'

The boys were already coming. I had to hurry. So, I quickly grabbed some pillows from my closet and placed them on my bed, covering them with a duvet afterwards. So if my parents came to check on me, they would think I was already asleep. I also deleted the messages I had received and decided to leave my cell phone in my room so that they would not find me if I was discovered, in addition to doing a little spell to block my location. I know I was breaking a thousand rules, but if I got caught, I was going to get screwed anyway. So, I really should avoid getting caught. I bit my lip at the thought and turned off the light in my room, before going to the window. When opening it, I put my body out and slowly went down, avoiding making noise at all costs. As I already had the wolf part activated, it was really easy to get down there. Then, already in the garden at my house, I took a last look back to see if everything was clean. Fortunately it was. With that, I smiled and left our property, going to the corner where I had arranged with Kaleb. A few minutes later, the boys arrived.

''So you mean you changed your mind about the party, Mikaelson?'' - Jed smiled wryly, while MG opened the back seat door for me to enter.

''An adventure is always good.'' - I laughed, adjusting myself in the back seat.

''Be honest...'' - Kaleb started, starting the car - ''What made you change your mind so fast?'' - He asked and I looked at him.

''Josie called inviting me to this party too.'' - I shrugged as if it was nothing much.

''So it's explained.'' - MG said, laughing.

''Lucky for you that Lizzie won't.'' - Jed commented, looking at me in the rearview mirror - ''So your nose will be safe this time.'' - He completed and the three boys burst out laughing.

''Oh, shut up.'' - I rolled my eyes, but I was laughing too.

''By the way...'' - MG sighed, looking at me - ''I wanted to apologize for not controlling myself in the afternoon.'' - He said and I raised my eyebrows at him - ''It's just that if Jed and Kaleb hadn't dragged me away from the blood, maybe we could have separated you and Lizzie and with that you wouldn't have been suspended.'' - MG explained and I smiled.

''Don't worry about it, MG.'' - I said, sincerely - ''The way things were going, Lizzie and I were going to end up fighting anyway.'' - I blew out a breath and he nodded.

''That is true.'' - MG agreed with a smile.

Then we talked for another five minutes of unimportant things, until I noticed Kaleb stopping the car in front of a beautiful house in downtown Mystic Falls.

''Now is the time to rescue the other fugitive.'' - Kaleb laughed and I looked out the car window, seeing Josie Salztman escaping through the window too.

''Hot.'' - I bit my lip, without restraining myself.

''Clean the drool, Mikaelson.'' - MG teased and I snorted.

''Don't fill.'' - I said and he laughed - ''And why is Josie escaping through the window if she isn't even grounded?'' - I asked, wanting to change the subject.

''Because if Josie were to leave at that hour with us, Mr. Saltzman would realize that she was having a party at school and then he would definitely go there at the old mill to end it all.'' - Jed explained and I laughed.

''What a beautiful fame you have.'' - I commented ironically and they laughed.

''Josie is coming over.'' - Kaleb warned and I got out of the car immediately, opening the back seat door for her.

''That is to earn points with the girl, Mikaelson.'' - Jed teased and I showed him the middle finger behind my back, which made him laugh.

''Hey guys.'' - Josie greeted, smiling - ''I can't believe you really came, Hope.'' - She turned to look at me, biting her lip.

''I told you I was coming.'' - I blinked in response, watching Josie get into the car.

''If Klaus Mikaelson finds out that we have induced his daughter out of punishment, he will literally kill us.'' - MG commented, while I closed the back door of the car. I was sitting behind MG, Josie and me with Josie sitting in the middle of us.

''If my mom finds out that I escaped punishment, I will be the one who will be dead.'' - I laughed and MG looked at me.

''I hope you don't get caught then.'' - MG smiled and I nodded.

''Although deceive two hybrids is not the smartest idea in the world.'' - Kaleb spoke and I smiled.

''That's what I said.'' - Josie nudged me lightly in the ribs, which made me laugh.

''Relax.'' - I stated with a smile - ''When I was 7 years old, I escaped from a small town in Michigan to New Orleans and my mom only found out when I was already there.'' - I counted, shrugging my shoulders.

Obviously I left out how much my mom went mad when she found me, right? I basically didn't sit comfortably for three days after we got home. Not that I didn't deserve it, of course. I made my mom completely desperate and things really could have gone really bad. But what can I do? I am impulsive and just do what I feel like, even if I have to deal with the consequences later.

''Why did you escape to New Orleans, Mikaelson?'' - Jed asked curiously.

''I wanted to rescue my dad who had been arrested by my big brother Marcel.'' - I replied and I saw him raising his eyebrows in confusion - ''Long story.'' - I sighed and he laughed.

''Your father must have a lot of cool stories to tell.'' - Kaleb commented and I grimaced when thinking about it.

''Yes, he has.'' - I agreed, laughing.

''Hey Jed, do you have anything to drink there?'' - I heard Josie's voice ask.

''It has tequila. Would you like?'' - Jed answered, looking at her in the rearview mirror.

''It might be.'' - She nodded and Jed passed the bottle of tequila to her. Then Josie opened the bottle and took a sip with everything in her mouth. - ''Damn, this is so good.'' - Josie swore, placing the tequila between her legs and I laughed.

''It's the first time I saw you swear.'' - I teased and Josie turned to look at me.

''Shut up.'' - Josie rolled her eyes and patted my thigh lightly.

''Whoever spoke is no longer here.'' - I played innocent and Josie smiled.

''You two really make a cute couple.'' - MG observed, looking at us.

''Say it again and your chances with Lizzie will drop to minus zero.'' - Kaleb said, which made us all burst out laughing.

''Speaking of Lizzie...'' - MG started, after the laughter stopped - ''What happened to her?'' - He asked, looking at Josie - ''She never denies a party, even if she is grounded.'' - MG sighed, looking frustrated. Everyone knew he had a crush on Lizzie, so it was totally normal for him to ask about her.

''Dad was really mad at Lizzie this time, so I guess she just didn't want to take any chances and get into more trouble.'' - Josie replied, shrugging. But by the tone of her voice, she seemed to be hiding something.

''It is guy, it is not today that you will have a chance with Lizzie.'' - Jed teased and MG snorted.

''Don't be like that.'' - Josie consoled, looking at him - ''One day my sister will realize the incredible guy you are.'' - She praised and MG nodded.

''You are literally the nicest person I know, Jo.'' - MG smiled at her and turned her head to look at me from behind Josie - ''So treat her with the respect she deserves, Mikaelson.'' - He warned with a tone that resembled an big brother and made a gesture with his fingers, indicating that he was keeping an eye on me.

''You can leave it, captain.'' - I saluted playfully and MG laughed.

''Hey, I'm still here, you know?'' - Josie complained, covering her face with her hands. She had probably been embarrassed.

''Sorry, Jo.'' - MG apologized between laughs.

''I feel sorry too.'' - I looked at her, laughing - ''And I promise I won't embarrass you anymore.'' - I promised and Josie uncapped her eyes, challenging me with her gaze.

''You always promise that, Hope.'' - She accused, pouting.

''This time it's true.'' - I guaranteed and held her hand.

''If you say.'' - Josie smiled, but didn't let go of my hand.

''MG is right.'' - Kaleb started, looking in the car's rearview mirror - ''You really are cute together.'' - He finished and Josie bit her lip when she looked at me.

''One more for Lizzie's blacklist.'' - I commented, what made everyone laugh.

''Watch out Jed or you will end up being next.'' - Josie provoked, joining in the game too and Jed shrugged, after all he was the only one who hadn't said anything about us yet.

''I've been on Lizzie's blacklist since I started being with Alyssa Chang.'' - Jed sighed and we burst out laughing again. When we stopped laughing, Kaleb said:

''We're here, guys.'' - He said, entering his car inside the school and going to park it near the old mill.

''Let's enjoy the party then, right?'' - I smiled at Josie and gave a quick kiss on the back of her hand.

Josie nodded with a smile and took the bottle of tequila with her other hand. So when Kaleb finished parking, we all got out of the car together and walked towards the party. The boys were leading the way, while Josie and I were right behind. Josie was still holding my hand and honestly just because she was holding her hand, I knew I didn't care what was going to happen to me afterwards. My mom and dad can even go mad with me if they find out that I ran away from punishment. I don't really care. All I care about now is enjoying this party with Josie Saltzman.
