As the day progressed, Lukas could honestly say that he preferred the grotty motel that he had previously been in, compared to the stuffy car boot that he had been stuffed into. It was dark and cramped and the most uncomfortable space ever, but that did not matter to him for very long. His ears pricked when he heard the sound of someone hyperventilating crying, he looked towards the sounds and he realised that Philip was crying "Ssshhh hey, it's okay. We're going to be okay". He managed to move his arms slightly, rubbing Philip's side "You're going to be okay, baby. We're going to get out of this".

Philip whimpered as he tried to calm himself down, he was terrified, he did not have a plan and that's one thing that scared him even more. He had grown up always having a plan or knowing what to do no matter what, but now he was panicking, and he had no idea of what to do.

Lukas knew that he could not offer the amount of comfort to Philip that he wished that he could, his boyfriend had been protecting both of them for so long and he must have been beating himself up for how they had been captured. Ryan had decided to be particular cruel to Philip, he had placed a strip of duct tape over the boy's mouth before threatening Lukas. "If you remove that tape, I will take Philip and you'll never see him again. Dead or alive" Ryan had threatened. The threat had terrified Lukas because of how easily Ryan had spoken about possibly killing Philip.

It felt like they had been driving forever, before they came to an unexpected halt. This just caused the boys to panic but they soon heard the sound of shouting, they were relieved when they realised that Helen knew that they had been captured.

"Where are the boys?!" Helen shouted in Ryan's face as the man stared at her blankly, no emotion behind his eyes other than slight panic but he easily hid it.

Philip had an idea, it was risky, but he knew that he needed to do something. He gathered up his courage before he started to hit and kick the inside of the signal lights of the car, hoping that it would make some noise or even pop them off of the car so that he could signal for help. Unfortunately, they had not heard anymore voices before the car's engine started and Ryan sped off, causing the boys to fall into each other and Lukas hitting his shoulder, crying out in pain. Philip instantly started to panic even more, he desperately wanted to roll over onto his other side to tend to his boyfriend, but he did not move because Lukas was leaning against him and he did not want to risk hurting the blond. He felt useless.

As if things could not get anymore worse for the couple, Lukas' shoulder had started to bleed again but only slightly; that was the least of their problems though… the car had stopped. They both tried to listen out for some kind of noise such as footsteps, but it was hard to hear anything. Suddenly the trunk of the car was opened, and Ryan aimed a gun at the boys whilst he stared at them with an icy glare.

"Stand up!" Ryan shouted as he grabbed Philip's arm and yanked him out of the trunk of the car.

"No leave him alone! Philip!" Lukas called as he tried to get to his boyfriend.

Ryan acted quickly and he held the gun to Philip's head, causing Lukas to freeze instantly "Don't move, or I'll shoot him!"

Philip was trembling in fear and he gulped "Please?"

"Shut up!" Ryan shouted before he hit Philip around the side of the head with the gun.

"Please let us go" Lukas pleaded, but Ryan just slammed the car boot shut.

"Move it" Ryan snarled as he dragged Philip through the forest.

Philip tried to walk as quickly as he could, but he could not help how he stumbled, crying out for Lukas as he was pulled further and further away from his boyfriend, "Lukas!"

Lukas felt an overwhelming sense of dread creep over him, kicking at the inside of the car as he yelled and called out his boyfriend's name whilst pleading for Ryan to let Philip go. He could not stop thinking about how he had just managed to save Philip from Ryan once, but the rogue FBI agent had ripped that accomplishment away from him, undoubtedly planning on finishing what he had started in that cabin. Lukas almost did not hear the sound of the sirens that were approaching.

Ryan's ears picked up the screaming of the police sirens that were pulling up near his car, he knew that Helen had been hot on his trail and it just fueled his murderous rage even more "Move it!" he snarled at Philip as he dragged the trembling teenager through the forest.

'Helen, please help!' Philip thought as he tried to hide his fear from Ryan. The next few minutes passed, seemingly like a blur to Philip, he could not recall when they had arrived at what seemed to be a lake and he definitely did not remember what Ryan had been muttering as he paced back and forth. Philip was now sat on the soil, not daring to move or try to escape because he knew that he stood a very little chance of not being caught or killed.

"This is all your fault!" Ryan decided, glaring at Philip as the boy stared up at him "If you had not been at that cabin I would not have had to kill those teens, shoot your boyfriend or kill your mother. You made yourself an orphan and you're the reason why all of those people are dead!" he then proceeded to march over and pull Philip up to his feet; his only intention was to silence the teenager.

"Let him go" Helen ordered.

Ryan spun around and quickly pointed the gun at Philip "Don't move or I'll shoot him!"

"Baby!" Lukas called as he ran out of the forest.

"Luka!" Philip choked on a sob.

Lukas stopped next to Helen and he stared at the murderer who was holding his boyfriend hostage.

"No one cares about this kid, so what's the harm in shutting him up?!" Ryan threatened.

"Don't hurt him!" Lukas shouted.

Philip started to cry harder, and he began to tremble again in fear.

"Let him go" Helen remained calm but the anger was evident in her eyes.

"Why should I?" Ryan scoffed.

Helen simply took the safety off of the gun "Because you are on the FBI's most wanted list and everyone in America knows who you are and what you've done, Ryan."

"I'll keep running, they won't catch me" Ryan smirked, digging his nails into Philip's arm as he spoke. "No one will risk shooting me if I have this kid!" he stated as he dragged Philip over to stand in front of him.

Philip let put a heart wrenching cry when he felt the barrel of a gun being pressed against his back.

"Baby, look at me!" Lukas instructed.

Philip lifted his gaze up and he looked at Lukas, his heart ached to be in his boyfriend's arms and to feel safe.

"Keep your eyes on me, Philip!" Lukas called over to his boyfriend and the brunet nodded quickly.

"Is that wise, Ryan? Murder, attempted murder, and kidnapping are serious crimes. You would be on the run for the rest of your life, and you would constantly have to keep your guard up. As well as make sure that Philip was strong enough to keep moving" Helen stated without breaking her stance.

Ryan had not even considered that taking a hostage would put a bigger target on his head, hesitated but he slowly let go of Philip's arm, the boy looked at him in fear and he saw the murderous look in his piercing eyes "Go" he snarled.

Philip began to slowly walk over to where Helen and Lukas were stood, until he built up enough courage and he ran into the safe arms of his boyfriend.

Lukas instantly embraced Philip and kissed his head "Are you okay?" he asked as he stroked his boyfriend's soft hair.

Philip nodded slightly and he huddled up against the taller teen. Lukas moved and he started to untie Philip's sore wrists, freeing him, and pulling him back into a warm hug, breathing a sigh of relief that he had gotten Philip back.

"I couldn't do it, Helen. Not your boy" Ryan stated.

"I know" Helen nodded.

Philip suddenly burst into tears and he buried his face into Lukas's chest. Both boys did not even realise that Helen was talking, until they heard her ask Ryan a question and the killer sighed.

"I'm sorry, Helen" Ryan said as he aimed the gun at Lukas.

Helen did not hesitate to pull the trigger of her pistol and she shot at Ryan, Lukas hurried to cover Philip's ear and he quickly spun himself and his boyfriend around, so that they would not see Ryan die. But it was too late, the loud bang of the gun being fired caused Philip's ears to ring, and he clenched his eye shut in order to try and numb the discomfort, his only comfort was that Lukas was holding him, but the blond teenager was trembling, and Philip could tell that he was desperately trying to hide it. A thought crept into Philip's mind and his heart sank when he realised what might happen… their experiences would change them forever.
