Chapter 8: Hooty's Moving Hassle
Lukas watched his mentor closely. He looked at his hand which was made up of cards with strange illustrations on them. The boy decided to keep his hand, not fully knowing if it was good.
"Alright Owl Lady, I'll keep." He said with his blank poker face.
"Ooh, you must have a really good hand to avoid a mulligan. I'll put three cards back." Eda took three cards from her five card hand and placed them back in the deck.
The deck shuffled itself and Eda drew three more cards.
"What do we do now?"
"Place as many warrior cards on the battlefield as you have and keep an eye on any spell cards you have." she explained placing four cards face down.
"Uh which ones are warriors and which ones are spells?" Lukas asked scratching his head.
"Warriors have a sword for their suit and spells have one of nine coven symbols for their suit… but there is also one of the two wild cards which can act as a board clear or as a counter for a wild card. Now enough chit chat let's play!"
Lukas looked and saw he had five warrior cards and decided to place them down.
"Now that the battlefield is set… the game begins." at her command the nine cards came to live and started battling.
Lukas's card had the numbers advantage as his extra warrior flanked Eda's card. The support helped take one down and the numbers game went on as such.
"Ah, you have numbers on your side. But when the deck is stacked against you that is where spell cards come in. Abomination or healers spell cards would be great here as I could either summon an extra warrior or resurrect one of my fallen." she explained as another of her cards where destroyed. Now both of her remaining warriors were flanked by Lukas's excess cards.
"Looks like I'm gonna win." Lukas said surprised with how easy this game was going.
"Not so… because you haven't taken into account my… wild card!" Eda flipped her card and showed a tower being hit by a lightning bolt. With that Lukas's cards were destroyed and fireworks came from their ashes proclaiming Eda the winner. "Better luck next time Lukas… who's next."
"Wow Eda, you snatched victory from overwhelming odds. That was amazing!" Luz exclaimed watching her teacher with glee.
"Well Luz having the numbers advantage only gets you so far. If you have the skill of four mages like yours truly then you can reasonably take on four mages if you thinks strategically. You'd do well to remember that if you get in a fight with someone who has more friends then you."
"More friends then Luz… impossible." Lukas said, snickering at Luz.
"You know it Lukas… how's your girlfriend." she said in a sing song voice.
"Not my girlfriend!" Lukas exclaimed.
"Lukas and Amity sitting in a tree…" Luz began.
"K-I-S-S-I-N-G…" King said singing as well.
"First comes love…" Luz added
"Then comes marriage…" King replied.
"Then comes a baby in a baby carriage." the two sang.
Eda laughed openly. "You got a good sister there Lukas…"
"You can have her then." He said sticking his tongue out at Luz.
"Nah, I've got one sister too many." Eda said, slapping her knee unaware that her students were looking at her with fear. "What's with the look?"
"Eda… your feathers are back." Luz said.
"Yeah and the last time this happened you turned into a beast." Lukas added.
Luz showed Eda the picture she took of the owl beast sleeping and it was not flattering.
"I know I should be horrified but that look is fierce." she said preening herself with a smile.
Lukas and Luz exchanged a look that belayed their confusion.
"Whelp, I guess I gotta drink my potion…" Eda looked into her closet drawer and saw a bunch of empty vials. "… and I'm out of potion. Oh no." she said scratching her head.
"How come you've waited so long for a refill?" Lukas asked.
"I've been busy."
"Yeah playing card games… I guess."
"No mr. Smarty pants watching two humans isn't easy. Especially when one can go into a rage and level several city blocks."
"Excuses… anyway what do we do?"
"I guess we'll go see Mortimer. But first… how's about a game of hexes hold-em." she said looking for her card pouch.
"Eda look!" Luz pointed to Owlbert waddled off with Eda's card pouch.
"Owlbert you sore loser. Come back here with my cards." Eda chased after the plucky bird while Lukas let out a sigh of relief.
"Thank god that Owl got her cards. I don't think I can fight Eda." Lukas said. "You handed him those cards and told him to lure Eda to town, didn't you?"
Luz smiling at Lukas tapped him in the arm with her fist. "You know I did. Now come on before they get too far ahead of us."

The two humans sat on a bench waiting for their teacher to buy her potions and they could return to the house.
Luz watched as people were waiting at a bus stop. She saw that a giant egg came rolling down stopping at the station and cracking open revealing empty seats. The people got in and a small creature with a big nose ran toward the egg as it began to roll away.
Luz let out a chuckle as King sat beside her, seeing the whole thing.
"Ah the curse of tiny legs." She said.
"I know the pain." King replied, agitated.
Lukas heard Eda pound on the screen of the potion stand. "Come on Mortimer I need my potion." she said.
Just then Lukas watched as five men pulled a cart with a huge demon on top of it. "Wow, who are they?"
"Demon hunters. They track down bounties for the most dangerous game." King replied and looking at the leader.
The leader was a sea green skinned man with an eye patch and a big sword on his back. He glared at Lukas and then Luz.
"Which I'm about to become if you don't open up Mortimer!" Eda pounded on the door again.
"Okay, okay, I'm coming." a weaselly voice replied from inside the shop. The screen came up to a scrawny man in peasant's clothing. He looked like he was used to being a local punching bag. "Hey Eda, sorry for taking so long. I was poison tasting and don't feel so good for some reason."
"I need more potion Mortimer Proto." Eda replied looking over her shoulder.
"Okay let me check." Mortimer left to the back of his shop.
Meanwhile Lukas and Luz saw their old friends… well Luz's friends. Walking with their heads down.
"Let's go say hi Lukas." Luz said.
"Okay." Lukas followed his sister to Willow and Gus. Now looking at them Lukas knew that they were said.
"Hey friends, what's wrong? Who hurt my babies?" she asked, glaring to make sure they didn't lie.
"They did." Willow said pointing to a group which consisted of many witch teens which included Amity and Boscha.
"Amity is holding a moon light conjuring tonight and invited everyone but us." Gus said.
"What is a moonlight conjuring?"
"it's a night when witches gather at someones house. They stay up, tell ghost stories, eat trashy food… stuff like that." Willow explained.
"OK like a slumber party? We have those on earth."
"And we also use the moon's power to bring something to life!" Gus exclaimed with excitement.
"So like a slumber party that fits for the boiling isles… great." Lukas said looking at Amity and blushing when she meet his eye… he didn't notice when she turned her head that she was also blushing.
Just then the group of popular witches walked up to Luz and Lukas. "Hey sorry about not giving you an invite to the conjuring Willow… but it's for real witches only." the lead girl Boscha said. She laughed until one of her three eyes locked on Lukas. "Are you the heir to the knot fortune?" she asked her eyes taking a softer yet deceptive look.
"Y-yeah, W-why are you asking?" He said his nervousness returning under the girls analytical gaze.
"Well for one you shouldn't be hanging out with these losers. What with you being actually strong in magic… would you like to come to our conjuring?" she said the last bit while moving her hand up his arm. "I love a man with battle scars… want me to kiss them and make it better." she asked.
"That is some very generous offers but I have to respectfully decline." Lukas said trying to back away. But Boscha held him by the arm tight.
"Oh come on, don't be a tease… you know I play Grudgby and I am very flexible… just think of me in that uniform. Come on give me a kiss." Boscha was about to plant a kiss on Lukas's lips but was stopped by amity.
"That's enough Boscha. You know he's mine." she said.
"Oh I forgot blight. I'm sorry I just thought he'd be happier kissing a pretty girl." she said being lead away by Amity. Boscha turned her head to Lukas and made a gesture with her hands that looked like phone "Call me." she said.
Lukas was red faced and he could feel steam escape from his ears.
"Wow, I've never seen Boscha treat anyone like that… you are so lucky." Willow said befuddled by Boscha's behavior.
"Well I'm lucky Amity pulled her away… I'm not comfortable with someone so… direct." he said, he could feel the goosebumps on his arm through the bandages.
"Anyway, don't listen to those bullies… you are real witches." Luz said giving her friends a group hug.
"I just wish we could do a conjuring. I've always wanted to do one. But we'd need three people to do it." Willow said.
"Wait, we're three people and Lukas makes four. We can totally do a conjuring!" Luz exclaimed.
"Really Luz, you'd do that for us?" Willow asked excited.
"Yeah, you're my friends and I love you. So let's do it!" Luz replied.
"Uh Luz, I hate to break it to you… but you know we have to ask Eda for permission." Lukas said, piping up.
"Yeah but Eda will be fine with it." Luz said.
"I'm not so sure about that." Lukas looked at Eda who was arguing with her potions guy.
Meanwhile Eda was indeed arguing with Mortimer. "What do you mean you're out of stock!?"
"Well I'm sorry Eda but why'd you wait so long to restock?" The shop keep asked.
"well I've been busy."
"Yeah busy playing hexes hold em. She's obsessed!" King exclaimed from his spot on the bench.
"Not I'm not!" Eda replied, shocked.
"You're playing it right now!" King pointed out that Eda had the cards placed on the counter and had already laid down her warriors.
"Am I winning?" she said smiling nervously.
"Look Eda if it were literally anyone else I wouldn't suggest this but… have you tried the night market?" Mortimer asked checking his left and right flanks to make sure he wasn't being watched.
"The night market huh, tell me more."
"Look for a guy named Grim-hammer and he'll have what you need. Just if you get caught, you didn't hear it from me, okay?"
"Sure thing Mortimer. Thank you." Eda said walking to king.
Luz and Lukas ran to their teacher seeing that their teacher was done.
"So Eda, can me and my friends hold a moonlight conjuring tonight?" Luz asked, in a sugary sweet tone.
"Sorry Luz I'm going out tonight and I need you and Lukas to house sit. I have many precious things inside there." Eda said walking away from her student.
"Like me." King said kicking his feet playfully.
"You're coming with me." Eda replied picking king up. "I'll need an extra pair of eyes in case of Pickpockets… and an extra pair of hands in case I want to pick pocket."
"Pickpocket!" Both Eda and King exclaim merrily.
"Maybe Willow and Gus can watch the house with us?" Luz suggested.
Eda lifted up her hand "Absolutely not, besides, conjurings are dumb. A bunch of kids sitting around in a circle and trying to use the moon to bring something to life. It's like magic for babies." she said.
"But–" Luz started but Eda was already gone.
"Luz, what did Eda say?" Gus asked walking up to the two humans.
"I'm so excited for my first conjuring." Willow added.
"Sorry guys Eda said–" Lukas started but Luz interrupted him.
"That she'd love to have you as long as you don't make a mess or talk about it again… ever." Luz continued.
Both Gus and Willow did a small hop together. "Thank you Luz" they said walking off.
"Luz, what are you doing?" Lukas asked, looking at his sister. "Don't you understand that Eda will be extremely pissed if she finds out."
"She won't find out unless you tell her. You're not gonna be a snitch on your loving sister… are you Lukas?" Luz said her eyes narrowing.
"Depends, what blackmail material you got?" Lukas asked knowing that Luz had something on him.
"I think Eda would be happy to know that you are an heir to a fortune and in a betrothal. Don't you think?" Luz asked smirking.
"You fight dirty Luz." Lukas replied glumly.
"I'm glad we understand each other. Now let's prepare, we have a conjuring to organize." she said walking with Lukas under arm.
Lukas sighed because once again his sister had bested him.

Lukas sat nervously and twiddled his thumbs. He did not dare look Eda in the eye as she was preparing for her trip.
"Now be sure to feed Hooty and I don't want any boys here except for Lukas… understand."
"Sure thing Eda." Luz replied just as nervous as Lukas was.
"Are you okay… you're doing that thing where you hide in your hoodie." She scrutinized Luz staring at her.
"Meow I'm not." Luz replied shook.
Eda let out a soft hum letting Luz know she is suspicious.
"Uh, where's King?" Luz asked thinking on her feet.
"Oh he's right here." Eda said opening her cloak to reveal king in a baby holster asleep. "His little body just conks out when he's weightless."
Luz's eyes went big and she let out a soft awe "He's so Dangling." she said playing with his feet.
"Alright I'm off, have fun." Eda said walking out the door. "Oh and Luz. If you mess up I'll never trust you again… no pressure bye." Eda said finally leaving.
Luz let out a sigh of relief "Alright guys you can come out, she's gone." Luz said to the kids in the bush.
"There are sticks in my pants and I like it."
"Oh boy! Company! People I can tell my stories to." Hooty exclaimed.
Luz immediately rushed Gus and Willow inside shutting the door.
"Hey!" Hooty said from outside.
"Now welcome to the owl house friends. We got snacks, creepy music, and lots of human artifacts." She said pointing to Eda's junk pile.
"Human artifacts!" Gus dashed toward the pile.
"Thank you for inviting us here Luz. I know Eda was reluctant but we promise to be good house guests." willow said looking around.
"Alright how do we do this?" Luz asked.
"I would like to know that as well." Lukas said.
"Well first we'll need a vessel for the magic. It should be something deep and meaningful."
"How's about we do my buff man figure?" Gus asked showing them an action figure that was shaped like a buff trainer from the 80's. He squeezed the toy and it said one of it's catchphrases.
"Uh Gus that is an okay choice but I was thinking something else." Willow said looking at the potted plant in the living room.
"Oh I don't know I think it's a good idea." Luz said smiling.
"I agree, I can take an action figure but I've seen what magic does to plants and it does not look pretty." Lukas added remembering the plant magic book he read… he realized the Venus fly trap is a lot scarier when it eats sentient flesh and breaths fire, ice, and pure entropy. The boy shivered when he was thinking about it.
""Okay, fine the buffman figure it is." Willow placed the doll on a spot on the rug. "Now we turn off the lights and sit in a circle while the moons magic flow through us." she instructed.
Luz and Gus sat down next to Willow.
Lukas reluctantly did so as well. The four teens felt the power of the moon as it reached it's zenith. Lukas felt weird like he was cold and numb. He was having trouble seeing in the light as his eyes strained but after the moons light had passed he had perfect vision in the darkness able to see his sister and her friends in perfect detail minus their color. I have dark vision? Lukas thought confused.
Before the boy could say anything the power surged from all four teens and entered the houses.
"Did it work?" Luz asked.
"Only one way to find out?" Gus picked up his action figure. "Speak buffman."
"A real man never takes responsibility for his actions." it said.
"That's problematic." Lukas said and then the house began to shake "And that is terrifying. What is going on?"
They felt the house shake and move.
"Hooty what is going on!? Are we under attack!" Lukas exclaimed.
The teen did not receive an answer and when he exited the house he saw it running toward a cliff. "oh the house is moving on it's own free will. Crap!"
"It's heading for a cliff! Hooty stop!" Luz commanded but was jostled to fall into Willow's arms.
Gus joined the group hug and a small stream of power surged from them making Hooty stop.
"Interesting… when three or more of us hold hands it makes Hooty follow our commands." Lukas explained.
"We made a house come to life! Awesome!" Luz exclaimed, resisting the urge to pump her fist. "Well I guess we'll need to get it back to the it's spot."
"Or we could take it to Amity's house and show that we are real witches… how's about that?" Willow asked.
"I don't know Willow it doesn't seem safe." Luz said, looking at Lukas who was shaking his head.
"Please, Luz, I need this." Willow begged.
"Ah, okay, for you bestie anything." Luz said holding out her hand for Lukas to take it.
The boy looked down at her hand and grabbed it. "I hope you know what you're doing sis."
"Don't worry Lukas, we'll be fine."
The young teens joined hands and made the house go toward the rich part of the boiling isles. On the way they saw Boscha walking toward the Amity's house talking to a raven.
"Oh look, we have to prank her." Willow said.
"Yes we should." Luz said grabbing a bull horn and then making the house sit on a hill. "Halt young teen for I am a talking house and you have entered my domain. To stave off my wrath you must stop being so mean."
"Uh whatever, I'll just tp you when I get back."
"You are mistaken for I am not just an ordinary talking house I am also a… walking house." on Luz's command the house rose and made a small step toward Boscha.
The pink skinned teen ran in fear screaming.
The three teens started laughed.
"I did my first prank… now I've got a taste for it." Gus said in a sinister tone.
"Anyway, can we go back now… this doesn't seem safe." Lukas asked looking around for some reason he felt that they were being watched.
"Lukas you are too paranoid… come on let's show Amity who the real witches are." Luz said directing the group to once again hold hands.
Lukas reluctantly did so. Why does no one listen to me when I say we're in danger… I'm usually right. Lukas thought.
As the teens reached the edge of the woods where Amity's was they were stopped by a spear shooting through the side of the house.
"What the heck!" Lukas exclaimed.
"Charge!" a voice exclaimed from outside the house. In no short amount of time the house was surrounded by demon hunters of all things.
"We have to stop them!" Luz said but before she could do anything a big demon hunter burst in the door and knocked her out.
Gus and Willow were about to fight back but the head demon hunter came in and said. "surrender… or I'll crush her head." He said the last bit picking up Luz in his huge hands as it fit in his palm.
"We surrender! Don't hurt her!" Lukas agreed sticking his hands up.
Gus and willow reluctantly did the same.
"Excellent tie them up and let's take this thing to camp." He ordered his men. The demon hunter leader walked up to Lukas and looked at his bandages. he a did a spell circle and let a shrill whistle. "Gentlemen we've hit pay dirt… we have a binder!"
"Oh no." Lukas replied shaking as the demon hunters hooped and hollered at their luck.

The demon hunters camp was located at the edge of a cliff. It had no tents or campfires. But there was five demons hunters including the leader. They all sat around looking Hooty over.
The demon hunt leader was in front of Lukas looking at him with a sickening glare. "You have no idea how happy you've made me… you're capture is gonna be a nice little nest egg for me and my boys." he gloated.
You gonna let this dope talk to you like that. Asmodeus asked, his cocky tone clear in his voice.
What am I supposed to do? Lukas asked in his mind.
Simple find a weak-willed demon hunter and use my blessing to charm him. Ta-ta. Asmodeus said in Lukas mind.
Wait how do I do that? Asmodeus? Fuck! Lukas thought struggling with his robes.
"Toby watch him in case he breaks out of those binds. If he does yell for me. Brian throw the brats off the cliff while Samantha and Tyr cut up the demon for meat to sell at market."
"No! Hooty would taste terrible." Luz exclaimed as Brian grabbed her and her tied up friends.
"Hey I'm an acquired taste." Hooty said.
Idiot. Lukas thought. He was shaking and fighting out of his ropes but it was all for note. They were spell crafted which meant they were more durable.
"Keep struggling it's fun to watch you fail. Who knows you may break out. I wonder if that human girl will die from the fall or the jagged rocks on the bottom." Toby said.
Lukas looked at his sister being lead to the cliff. Lukas fear in his heart stared the demon hunter in the eyes. "Release me." Lukas ordered in a calm voice.
The man's eyes went full blue and he responded with a nod. He untied Lukas as Luz was at the edge of the cliff.
"Knock yourself out." Lukas ordered. The boy ran to his sister and was stopped by the demon hunter leader.
"It seems you've over powered Toby but you won't do the same to me. Brian finish it!" The demon hunter ordered.
Brian kicked the tied up teens off the cliff and they fell screaming.
"No!" Lukas exclaimed his pentagrams returning. The very earth once again shaking and power radiating from the boy.
"What the-" the demon hunter was shocked the ground beneath his feet felt unstable.
"Oh no." Brian said looking at the boy.
Lukas let out a roar and punched the demon hunter leader sending him back fifteen feet.
"Looks like we got a fight on our hands after all… surround him, don't let him get away." The leader commanded and his men obliged him.
They surrounded the boy as he looked at all of them with fury in his eyes.
"you're not going anywhere binder… we're gonna beat you like we beat your sister." one of them taunted.
"Yeah she begged me to not do it but I just laughed at her plea." Brian said.
Lukas shot toward Brian and he let out a small Eep as the demon hunters jumped toward him. Before Lukas could kick Brian he was struck by the War hammer of one of the demon hunters sending him flying into the waiting arms of another demon hunter who forearm smashed Lukas in the ground.
As the demon hunter was about to follow through with another smash Lukas kicked himself up and then spun around and kicked the hunter. But before he could follow through the demon hunter leader charged with his sword. Lukas tried his best to dodge but the man knew what he was doing.
It was not long before Brian had his mace and the war hammer demon hunter charged toward Lukas's position. Add to that the demon hunter who Lukas kicked charged him as well.
It's no use I'm outnumbered… I've lost. Lukas thought. I failed you Luz… I'm sorry.

"I will win!" Lukas exclaimed. Lukas felt his body go cold, colder then it could ever be. From his pores came an inky black substance which stick to the air. His eyes turned from pentagrams to what looked like a new moon oozing the same black substance. The darkness surrounded the demon hunters and they were soon obscured by it.
"What is this?" One asked.
"I can't see!" Brian added.
"Calm down, just use a dark vision spell!" the leader commanded.
The demon hunters did as instructed but were surprised that when their spell was completed they still couldn't see.
"What the hell!" they all screamed.
Then one of the demon hunters who was trying to back out was attacked and all that could be heard was his scream.
"Sam is that you? What happened?" The leader asked a chill creeping up his spine.
"I don't like this… no, no, no, no, no… I'm getting out of here!" Brian exclaimed running blindly around the darkness and he too was taken out.
"Where are you!? Face me binder!" The demon hunt leader exclaimed.
"Drax?" The leader heard one of his men call his name as he walked into the view.
"Tyr not you two." Drax grabbed the boy and held him.
"He's too strong, you have to run."
"Not without you." Drax said slinging his man over his shoulder.
"Isn't that cute. The demon hunter has a friend. I had a friend once… you threw her off a cliff. So it's only fair if I return the favor." Drax saw the binders silhouette in front of him. Before the demon hunter could react he kicked in the chest shattering his ribs and causing Tyr to fly into the air. Before the demon hunter could catch him, Tyr was sent flying with another kick out of the demon hunters sight.
"No! Face me like a man you coward!" the hunter yelled to the top of his lungs.
"But I'm not man… I'm a boy and I have more power in my little finger then you'll ever have in your entire, broken, body." Lukas let out an evil chuckle.
"I-I'll kill you!" The demon hunter exclaimed as he back pedaled trying to find his way out of the darkness.
"You got it backwards demon hunter… I'm going to enjoy killing you first."
"First, you mean my men are…"
"Sleeping… nursing headaches that I don't want to think about but I wanted them to see your dead corpse broken and bloody before I finish them off."
"You're a monster!" The demon hunter dashed away and escaped the shadow to see the moon itself had risen to it's zenith.
"That's where your right… I'm the monster you made me into… now perish." Lukas charged out of the darkness his eyes oozing orbs of black shadow. He struck the demon hunters jaw breaking t. Lukas howled in laughter looking at the broken man before him.
"So much for being hunters… now you're prey." Lukas lifted the man up and looked him in eye with a smile. "Now how should I kill you… throw you from the cliff… like you did to my sister! No, I think I'll rip you limb from limb. Starting with those mighty sword swinging arms."
Lukas placed both of his hands on the mans wrists then kicked his legs into his chest. He pulled and a sadistic glee filled him when the demon hunters screams were replaced with a satisfying pop.
"Now, now, don't pass out on me now… it's time for your legs." Lukas took a menacing step toward the frightened man.
"Please, mercy, I beg you." He said on his knees.
"You should've thought about that before taking what was mine!" Lukas lifted the man by the collar. "Now stand up straight or don't it's gonna hurt either way."
"Please, If you join me we can get you as many girls as you want… please." The demon hunter leader cried in pain as his left leg snapped.
"You won't replace Luz! Don't try to talk your way out of this… it will just make it worse." Lukas broke the right leg with a vengeful kick.
"Oh god, it's over… please I beg you."
"It's not over… not by a long shot. Next I think I'll take your good eye." Lukas giggled his black eyes oozing the darkness. He reached his hand out to grab for the man's eyes.
"Lukas! No! Don't do it!" Luz voice called out causing Lukas to look up at Luz who was on top of a huge vine being controlled by Willow.
All three teens looked at Lukas with terror as they saw the carnage that was wrought on the demon hunters.
"Luz… you're alive?" Lukas looked around at what he had caused and he had to fight the urge to hurl. "What have I done?" Lukas fell to his knees and the darkness left his eyes as they returned to normal.
The three teens descended from the vine and while Willow and Gus went to untie Hooty. Luz walked to her brother who was in a catatonic state.
"Lukas? Look at me." She said reaching her hand out.
The boy didn't answer he just looked at the decimated bodies of the demon hunters who were close to death.
"Lukas? Hermanito? Talk to me please." Luz tried to place her hand on Lukas's shoulder but he pulled away.
"No! Luz, get away! I-i don't want to hurt you… I don't want to hurt anyone." Lukas said taking a few steps back. His eyes never left the demon hunter leader whose body he had ruined. Lukas knew what he had to do.
"Lukas! What are you doing!? Stop!"
Lukas back pedaled to the edge of the cliff. "I'm sorry Luz… I can't risk losing control again. I'm sorry… tell our Mami I love her." Lukas was about to jump off the cliff but Luz ran to him and held him close.
"Please… please don't go. We can work this out together… I don't want to be alone." Luz had tears in her eyes when she said this.
Both Lukas and Luz sat near the cliffs edge and held each other for a long time.
"Guys we have to go, the moon light Is waning." Willow called with Hooty now freed.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to… I'm s-scared." Lukas said in in his trembling voice.
"I know Lukas, I'm here and we can work this out. Now let's get back to the owl house." Luz picked her brother up and the two ran to the owl house and climbed up to the front door.
"Alright everyone hands together." Willow instructed the four teens did as she said. They used the power of the moon to command the house to rush to Eda's position.
The house surged forward and they had to take a short cut through bones borough where the night market was being held.
They weren't looking where they were going as the house stomped on a pig mans stand.
"Sorry!" Luz exclaimed noticing Eda and letting out an eep.
The four teens eventually made it back to the owls houses resting place. They used their magic to put it back in place.
Luz let out a sigh of relief and sat on the floor. "We did it. That was crazy. Good thing no one got hur… Lukas you're bleeding!" Luz exclaimed noticing blood pooling near Lukas's left temple.
"Oh, I guess I am." Lukas said and he realized that he used the power of his form along with what he guessed was either a new blessing or some other kinda power without passing out.
Just then the door slammed open to reveal Eda with king still in his baby carrier. "You are so busted." Eda said.
"Oh no." Luz said.
"You held a moonlight conjuring." Eda said walking toward the Luz menacingly.
"I did." Luz replied with a wince.
"And you animated my house… my house!" Eda exclaimed.
"I did." Luz said.
Once Eda was within an inch of Luz both Gus and Willow stepped in front of Eda.
"No, don't punish Luz. We were the ones who forced her to do the conjuring." Willow started.
"if you're gonna eat me do it now… do it now." Gus added in an over-dramatic tone.
Eda looked down at the young witches with a disdainful glare. "Well you're all guilty, so you'll all be punished. By cleaning my house top to bottom." Eda said summoning cleaning supplies for the group.
"Oh and by the way." Eda added making the teens wince in fear. "That was totally amazing and I am definitely coming to next years conjuring. Now get to work." Eda said with a smirk. "As for you Lukas, let's look at that injury."
Eda looked Lukas over and clicked her tongue multiple times. "What did you do kid? This is the nastiest cut I've ever seen."
"You should see the other guys." Lukas said laughing as the nauseous overtook him. "I am a bad person Eda… you were right… I… am… a… monster." Lukas passed out in Eda's arms.
The witch looked at Lukas with concern in her eyes. "What happened to you kid? I'll have to ask Luz… but I'm glad you're alright."

Meanwhile at the sight of the Lukas's battle with the demon hunters Mephistopheles and lord Morning star looked over the carnage.
"you're boy did a number on these fools… I am impressed." The older demon remarked.
"High praise from you mi lord." Morning star replied.
"First the boy learns how to do proper circle magic. Now he can use glyphs as well… he is truly astonishing. Where did he get these capabalities." The older demon asked.
"Simple, I left one of the infernus grimoires in the mortal world with the power of all three inside." Morningstar said nonchalantly.
"One of the nine tomes of power! Damn it boy! Why would you take a risk like that!?"
"Because, I had faith." Morningstar said looking over the cliff as the waves crashed against stones.
"You're fool but I guess I've followed you this far… so what does that make me?" the older demon looked on at the sea. "Will he do as expected?"
"More so then any of us could ever hope for."
"That is good. It is time for the binder order to return to full power and to finally stop that monstrous emperor."
"I agree and Lukas will be the key to that. He will save many but I fear for him… for it will come with a great many sacrifices."
The two demons looked out into the ocean and then turned their gaze to the moon. As the night began to fade so did the two demon lords and the sun began to peak over for a dawn. Leaving the world anew.
