I sat on the edge of the bed, waiting patiently for Andy to respond; she hasn't said a word to me since we finished our bath and dressed. She was currently pacing the room, processing everything I had just told her.
"From what I understand...-" Andy came to a halt before me, placing a hand on her hip as she gazed at me with a smile dancing on her lips. "You, my uncle, cousin, and everyone else are part of a ruthless motorcycle club?" Her eyebrows arched in amusement before she pointed to me. "Let's face it: you all don't exactly blend in," she shrugged casually, placing her hands in her back pockets. "And now the ATF is after y'all because you sell guns," she mumbled as I gaped at her in bewilderment.
"You knew?" The idiotic question flew from my lips, and I mentally slapped myself, of course, she fucking knows. I don't know why that's a shock to me, because she's observant and intelligent.
"Jax, it's the fucking ATF," Andy removed her hands from her pockets to place them on either of my shoulders, looking me in the eyes. "I just wanted to see if you'd tell me the truth, which you did; thank you for that." She kissed my cheek before sitting in my lap facing me. She wrapped her arms around my neck as I placed my palms on the small of her back to pull her flush against my chest as the tension left my body.
"Thank fucking god," I muttered to no one in particular.
Andy shifted back to meet my gaze with a serious expression. "The only thing I ask of you is to watch Tig and Clay; they've been acting strange ever since Opie got back. I'm getting weird vibes from them, and I don't like it." She stated, worry is evident in her blue eyes. Admittedly, she wasn't wrong. They were acting suspiciously, which meant those two were definitely up to something, and it was up to me to find out before something terrible happened.
"I promise," I assured her, planting a kiss on her collarbone, before remembering the other stuff I needed to tell her. "There is one other thing I need to tell you," I add, noticing my palms begin to sweat.
"Which is?" She threw me a curious glance.
I inhaled deeply before exhaling the nervousness. "I ran into Wendy yesterday, and she informed me that she's leaving in a few days for a sober-living facility. I let her stay at the house last night, so she can be there when Abel comes home. She's going to stay in a hotel after Abel's homecoming party tonight," I finished my rambling and nervously puffed out my cheeks.
"Do I have to worry about you and Wendy?" She paused momentarily to meet my eyes. "I know you and I are only fucking, nothing more. But I wouldn't take kindly of you fucking someone else while being with me." She looks down.
To answer her question, I placed my hand under her chin and tilted her face up to look at her. "I promise, you have nothing to worry about with Wendy and me; I divorced her for a reason. Plus, she knows I'm seeing someone; I made her aware of that. Another thing, now I've had you: I'm addicted to you, to your pussy, the way it tastes, the way it feels." I stop to cup her face between my hands, trailing a thumb against her bottom lip, "addicted to your lips; how they feel against mine and my body - especially my cock. I don't want anyone else and I don't want to share you even if it was for a threesome. I'm all yours, babe." I confessed before pulling her in for a passionate kiss as my hands slid down her sides, around her hips to grab her ass cheeks.
I wanted so badly to confess my feelings for her; tell her how I fell head over heels for her so quickly, and wanted her to become my ol' lady and be a mother to my son and future kids. But it was too soon, and I don't want to risk scaring her off and ruining what could be the best thing to ever happen to me. To keep me from confessing my love, I deepened our kiss.
I nibbled and sucked on her bottom lip as Andy moaned against my mouth, opening her mouth slightly. I jumped at the chance and slipped my tongue inside, tasting her. Heat coursed through my veins the moment she threaded her fingers through my hair. Gently tugging my head back to keep her lips locked on mine as she sucked on my tongue while she wiggled her hips against my growing bulge. My hands gripped her ass tighter, and I was about to lay her back on the bed when someone ruined our moment by knocking on the door.
Andy reluctantly removed herself from my embrace, adjusted her disheveled clothes before striding towards the door. She jerked the door open to reveal Juice, who glanced between the two of us with a cheeky smirk planted on his face. I mentally laughed as I watched Andy's face turn red.
"Well, what is it, Juice?" I asked, irritated from being cock-blocked.
"Church in ten," he told me before focusing his attention on Andy, arching an amused brow he leaned against the doorway. "Sounded like you had an eventful morning." He jerked his head towards me as another cheeky grin played on his lips.
Andy crossed her arms over her chest, cocked her head to the side, and gave him the sweetest, most innocent of smiles, before responding, "Do you want to keep your balls or not? Because I'll gladly take another kick at them." She pointed between his legs. Juice moved his hands to his crotch, in instinct to protect his manhood, before Andy shoved him from the room, shutting the door in his face.
Turning to me, we both start laughing. "You're too much," I tell her, pulling her to me once I stand and place my hands firmly on her hips. We stared at each other for a moment before yelling from the clubhouse ended it. "I have some papers to sign at the hospital after the meeting; you wanna ride over with me?" I ask as I begin to pull away.
Beaming with happiness, Andy stood on her tiptoes to place a quick kiss on my lips. "Of course, I would love to!" She nodded her head as she beamed up at me, states of happiness swirling in her blue orbs. She's always so excited to visit Abel, and I knew - unless she had to work - she'd be tagging along.
"Okay," I smiled wide, then gave her another kiss before leaving the room and heading to Church.
"Woooh!" The guys pound their fists against the table and erupted in cheers the moment I entered the chapel and closed the doors. I couldn't help but chuckle at their excitement as I took my spot at the table.
"You better treat her right, Son," Piney warns from the far end; Ope nodded in agreement.
"I know," I answered before looking to the others and redirecting the subject. "Okay, let's get down to business."

An hour later, Jax and I arrived at St. Thomas, and once Jax parked, I jumped off his bike, yanked my helmet off, and dashed towards the entrance. "Hurry up, Teller," I say impatiently. "Abel is going to be an old man by the time you reach me." I joke. Jax flips me the bird as he saunters up to me with a pout on his lips.
"Stop being mean, Andy," he joked while draping an arm over my shoulder as we walked through the hospital entrance.
Once we entered Abel's room, I instantly scooped him up from his hospital crib and took a seat in the rocking chair. "Hey there, handsome," I whispered as Abel stared at me and cooed. "Long time no see, but that is about to change because guess what. You're coming home today, baby boy!" I quietly squeal in excitement, causing him to giggle. Hearing a chuckle come from the doorway, I glanced at Jax to realize he was looking at me with an unreadable expression. "What?" I blushed.
Jax shook his head and sauntered over to us. He leaned against the rocking chair to gaze down at his son. "You're good with him," he told me with a half-shrug. "He likes you."
"He damned well better like me; I put hours of blood and sweat into getting your house prepared for his arrival." I joked and lightly rubbed my thumb over Abel's cheek, before peering up to his father. "He looks so much like you, Jax."
Just then, Doctor Reynolds comes in, handing Jax some papers to sign. After signing, Jax gives them back to the doctor. "You can pick him up around five this evening." He tells us before leaving.
Jax smirks at me as he retreats over to us. "Mind, if I steal my kid?" Nodding, I stood from the rocking chair for Jax and handed Abel to him once he was sitting.
I take a seat opposite Jax on a nearby couch and watch him interact with his son. "You're an amazing dad." I smile wide, sneaking a picture of him and Abel.

We spent as much time with Abel as we could; reading to him, loving him, cuddling him, and making him giggle before Gemma stepped in as Jax and I were pulling away from a kiss.
"Well, look at the happy couple!" she gushed dramatically, placing a hand over her mouth for emphasis. "I knew something was going on between you two," she states matter-of-factually, causing my face to heat up. "Oh Jax, Clay said to be at the clubhouse in twenty minutes." She tells her son as he hands her Abel, whilst I'm standing there trying to think of an excuse to leave and not upset Gemma.
"Yeah, I know." He kisses Abel goodbye before glancing at me. "You need a ride back to the clubhouse?" I nod my head, grateful that Jax seemingly read my mind.
I went to Abel and placed a soft kiss on his head, and gently squeezed his tiny feet. "See you at your homecoming party, little guy," I say, then met Gemma's gaze. "See you there too, Gem," I say as I pull her in for a side hug and kiss her cheek.
"Thank you for saving me from Gemma's twenty questions," I whispered to Jax once we were on the elevator.
Jax chuckled and took my hand in his. "Anytime, Darlin," he lifted my hand to his mouth, kissing my knuckles. He gave me a cheeky wink, and I bit my lip to refrain from saying those three words.
I wish I knew what he wanted, so I could tell him how I felt about him. I swear, I fall more in love with him each and every day. But, I'm afraid if I tell him now, he'll want nothing to do with me, and it would ruin whatever was building between. So, for the time, I'm okay with being friends with benefits.

We made it back to TM within ten minutes - plenty of time to tease Jax. I smirked mischievously to myself as I dismounted his bike.
When he stood, I pulled him to me, placing a hand to his chest as he hunched down. I push myself up on my tiptoes to lean in close to his ear. "We have time to fool around, if you want," I whisper, lightly grazing his earlobe with my teeth before turning and walking away. Hearing Jax's footsteps on the concrete behind me was all the response I needed.
I hurried into the clubhouse, dodging everyone until I was in Jax's -soon to be old- apartment. I heard the guys shouting after him, followed by him shouting back, "Give me ten minutes; this is important!" I giggled as I lay on his bed as seductively as possible.
Jax burst through the door, shutting and locking it behind him. He climbed on top of me to nuzzle my neck while leaving wet kisses on my skin. "God, you're such a tease." He whined.
A frown falls to my lips as my gaze lands on the clock. "Damnit, we're out of time, and we didn't get to do anything."
Jax chuckles and rolls off me to stand up, adjusting himself in his pants. "Tonight, you're staying at my house; once Abel is in bed, we will have all night." He winked, and I pulled him down to my level to press my lips against his.
"Okay, I'll see you tonight. I'm going to take a nap and attempt to heal down there." I blush.
"Okay." Smirking, Jax stands and goes to the door. "Oh Andy, I hope you don't mind, but I promised Wendy that I would take her with me to pick Abel up from the hospital." He tells me, seeming nervous like it might upset me. Even though I'm not Wendy's biggest fan, that's her son too, and she had every right to be there. And as much as it bothered me, I wasn't going to let it show.
"That's fine, Jax. I'll ride my bike over." I say and he nods before leaving.
I fall back on the bed where sleep soon takes hold of me.

-Fast Forward to Abel's homecoming party-
I arrived at Jax's later than expected, but at least I was here. I wandered into everyone crowded in the living room talking and laughing, "Sorry, I'm late, everyone, I overslept." I apologized, waving to them shyly.
"It's fine honey; it happens." Gemma pulls me in for a hug; I return it. "Jax is changing Abel, and he will be out any moment."
I noticed Wendy grimace the moment she saw I was in the room. I shake it off, pay no attention to the petty crap, and lean against the door frame, waiting for Jax.
A few moments go by, and Ope wanders from the hallway with Jax carrying Abel behind him. Jax notices me and his face lights up. "Andy, I didn't think you would show up!" He says as he makes his way over to me. "Say hey, Andy." Jax moves Abel's hand, making it look like he was waving.
"Hey, little guy, welcome home," I say, taking his little hand between my fingers and giving it a little shake.
Jax snakes his free arm around me, placing it in the center of my back. He pulls me close and gives me a gentle kiss. "I'm glad you're here, darling," he says. Opie clears his throat, making his presence known as if being his size made him unnoticeable to begin with. I gaze at my cousin, who has serious expressions on his face.
"What, no hug for your cousin?" He asks, pretending to be offended. I laugh and pull away from Jax to hug Opie. "I'm happy for you, Andy," he whispered.
"Thank you," I whispered back before turning to Jax. "Can I steal your child?" Jax smiles and hands Abel to me. I take a seat in the empty chair, moving Abel to rest against my chest; sensing eyes on me. I look up to see Wendy shooting daggers in my direction. I roll my eyes at her and draw my attention back to Abel, who has fallen asleep.
Jax sits on the arm of the chair next to me. "You must be dull." He jokes; I lightly slap his knee.
"Shut up, and he's relaxing, my boobs are comfy." I smile down at Abel.
Jax leans down so his mouth is level with my ear and whispers, "hell yeah they are, I would know from experience." I gently push on his shoulder laughing with him.
An hour passes by, and Abel is sleeping in the bassinet, and Wendy finally leaves for her hotel room. I hand Jax a beer as I sit in his lap. "Thanks for being civil with Wendy." He plants a kiss on my temple as he places a hand on my thigh.
"I was; however, she was murdering me with her eyes," I told him as I took a swig of beer.
"Hey, we're gonna head out," Opie tells us, his arm around Donna's shoulder. We say our goodbyes and escort them out; a moment later, Tig leaves without saying a word to anyone except for Clay. That was odd, but I brushed it off. The pair of them are always acting weird.
"I'm gonna go help Gemma clean up," I told Jax and went over to Gemma, who was washing dishes. "Need an extra hand?"
"Sure thing. I'll wash, you rinse?" She suggested handing me a soapy dish.
Clay comes into the house with a worried look on his face; Gemma goes to him and speaks. He says nothing to her, moving away.
Shortly after, Jax rushes into the kitchen where everyone currently is. "What's wrong?" Gemma pressed when she noticed he had tears in his eyes. He looks at me with sorrow.
"Unser just called; Donna has been shot a block away. We gotta go." I dropped the dish I was holding, glass shattering all over the floor.
I rushed out of the house and jumped on my bike, speeding away, the guys right behind me. I saw police lights flashing and knew we were close. Opie pulled in just as we approached, and jumped out of his car and hurried over to his dead wife. "Donna? DONNA?!" He shouted through sobs as he fell to his knees. Tears filled my eyes as I dismounted my bike and eased my way over to him. I swiped the tears from my eyes and kneeled down, wrapping Opie in my arms to comfort him the best I could. All while knowing our lives completely changed, but his life, his world, completely exploded on itself.
-later that night-
I woke up covered in sweat, it was a rough night for both Jax and I. We stayed up until 2a.m., before finally crying ourselves to sleep. Every time I close my eyes, I see Donna's bloody, lifeless body. I wanted to check on Opie, but I knew I needed to give him space to process.
Thinking about Kenny and Ellie growing up without a mother causes me to start crying again. This cry was different, it rippled through my body, taking my breath away, sending me into a panic attack. Jax wakes up just as I start breathing heavily.
"Andy!" he exclaims, pulling me into his chest. "It's okay... It's okay." He rubs my back, soothing me, but despite his words, it's not okay, and it won't ever be okay how Donna was brutally murdered.
"It hurts, Jax," I sob into his chest. "Someone needs to pay for what they have done." My voice filled with pain.
"And they will, Andy, they will," Jax reassures me, running his hand through my hair as I clutched onto his body like a lifeline.

-Next Day-
It was determined the Niners were responsible for Donna's death. It was retaliation for SAMCRO making a deal with the Mayans. Piney was pissed and wanted to settle the score by going to Oakland and killing Laroy, but we disagreed with his idea. We needed proof, we couldn't jump into retaliation and cause war.
When Piney wandered out of the bitter Church session, I followed him out to the parking lot to try and talk some sense into him. When my attempt failed, I told Kip to tail him. I had a bad feeling about him going off the rails and doing something stupid, so keeping eyes on him was necessary right now.
A few hours later, the club and I were in the clubhouse trying to track down the eyewitness who identified Bobby and Opie as Hefner's killers. We knew the witness was held in 24-hour security; we just had to find out where that safe house was and stop them from testifying in court. The court couldn't charge Bobby and Ope for the murder of Hefner if the eyewitness wasn't present to testify. Which meant Bobby would be released from prison, and Ope would be clear. We had to take care of it tonight before Donna's funeral tomorrow. If we didn't, and they testified, Opie would go to prison with Bobby, and his children would end up in the system.
After the meeting, my phone started to ring; noticing it was Kip, I quickly answered, hoping Piney wasn't causing trouble, but knowing it was likely. "Yeah."
"Jax. Hey, man, I got, like, a serious problem." Kip says. "I followed Piney into Oakland."
"What the hell is he doin' in Oakland?", I question, confused. Clay and the guys focus their attention on me once I mentioned Oakland.
"It looks like he's going into a bar, but there are Niner tags everywhere," Kip spoke.
"Jesus Christ," I exclaimed, shaking my head in disbelief as I moved the phone away from my face. This will be bad if we don't get a handle on it soon. "Piney went looking for Laroy," I whispered to Clay.
"Oh, goddamn it!" Clay says in frustration as he turns around.
"Crazy old kook," Tig adds.
Placing the phone back to my ear, I ask, "where are you?" Moving over to my bike, getting ready to leave the lot.
Kip responds, "38th and Allendale."
"All right, watch his back. We're on our way." I told Kip before hanging up and speeding off, not looking back to see who's coming along.
~ ~ ~
Laroy and some of his men were waiting outside when Chibs and I pulled in. Laroy steps out of his car and makes his way over to me as I dismount from my bike. "We gotta problem," he says as I remove my helmet.
We follow Laroy into his bar to observe Piney sitting in a booth with a gun held to a man's head. Kip was sitting quietly next to him. "This doesn't involve you, Jax. One of these assholes killed Donna, and I'm going to make that right." Piney says in a stern tone.
"What the hell is he talking about?" Laroy asked from behind me; I note the confusion on his face.
I lean in closer to say quietly, "I get him to put down the revolver; you promise we walk out of here alive?"
Laroy stares at me before responding, "Yeah." I nodded to Chibs before I made my way to the table.
"No, no, no, no, " Piney says, moving away from the guy.
"Put down the gun, Piney." Does he have a death wish? He can't help find Donna's killer if he's with her.
"I ain't leaving... Until the n*er that killed Donna is dead! All right?" Piney demands clearly distressed by the death of his daughter-in-law. Kip leans forward, places his elbows on the table for a moment, then elbows Piney in the stomach, distracting him long enough for me to take the gun.
Five minutes later, I was sitting between the old man and Laroy in a booth while we had a private discussion.
"Noise we made at the Mayan gun sale is about how pissed off we are," Laroy started, making eye contact with me. "But if we wanted your cracker asses dead--"
Piney cut him off. "Someone last night in a gangster SUV gunned down my daughter. Now, that smells just like n*er revenge to me." I swear he didn't know when to shut the fuck up.
"N*er, n*er, n*er, n*er, n*er." Laroy repeated coldly, focusing on Piney. "Old fat bastard here says n*er one more time, and that 'walking out alive' deal we talked about - off the goddamn table."
Releasing a sigh, I lean forward. "Someone went after one of my guys. Killed his wife by mistake." I spoke staring Laroy in the eye, knowing we keep women out of our business, and the fact that Donna got caught up in it won't sit well with anyone.
Laroy met my gaze as he tilted his head to the side and rotated his hand. "Wasn't us."
I hear Piney scoff in disbelief and disgust, "So this old fat bastard is supposed to take your word for it just because you're an honorable black man?" Frustrated, I snap my head in Piney's direction.
"Shut up!" I demanded. Before glancing back at Laroy, "your trouble with us- you work that out of your system. Or does this beef keep growing?" I questioned.
Piney growls, placing his arms on the table. "But you keep talking about beef--"
"Piney!" I interrupted, pissed off. "Let me handle this, or I will kill you myself," I shout, causing Piney to sit back and turn away from me. I turn back to Laroy.
"Our business issues still need to be worked out. But if my need to hurt, SAMCRO took me to Charming, had me killing women," Laroy points a reassuring finger at me as he looks over to Piney before returning his attention to me. "Do you think we'd be sitting here talking?" He had a point. "I'm telling you the truth. Niners didn't kill your daughter." It was quiet for a moment before Laroy leaned in to look at the both of us, "I suggest you boys find your way back home. Quickly." He asserted as he got up from the booth and walked away. Piney and I shared a knowing look before we got up from the booth ourselves.
After having a long conversation with Laroy, who gave Piney and me his word that he did not put a hit out on Donna, I had a feeling that I knew who was behind it. So after I got Piney home, I stopped by the police station, learning from Hale - of all people - that Stahl led Clay to believe Opie was a rat. Hale told me he believes Clay aimed to have Opie killed, only to kill Donna in the process mistakenly.
So I went back to the clubhouse to wait patiently to ask Clay if he had a hand in Donna's murder. Judging the way Clay held himself when he denied the accusation and told me to stop letting people get into my head; I knew he was lying, and that pissed me off, so much for believing Opie after we discussed his disappearance at the table.
Then, I discovered the witness to the Hefner murder was a seventeen-year-old girl, and Happy, Chibs, and Tig were on their way to kill her. I rushed over and stepped in to learn that Tig had a gun to her head about to pull the trigger. I, in return, pull my gun on Tig and harshly remind him and the others that we didn't kill women. That should be clear in these assholes' minds now more than ever. Once I sent Chibs and Happy away, I threatened the girl with her life. When she ran away, scared, shitless, Tig and I started fighting, taking out some of my rage on him, and he definitely deserves it and some more. Once I left Tig, I sent Andy a brief text saying I wasn't coming home tonight, and if she could take care of the little guy, if not, to ask Gemma.
The night before Donna's funeral, instead of being home with Andy and my son, I found myself at the cemetery, drinking away my sorrows; feeling stupid for telling Andy not to worry about the way Tig and Clay were acting. She had a bad feeling about them this whole time, and I didn't believe her.
The last question I asked myself before falling asleep at the cemetery was: How am I going to keep this from Opie and the woman I was coming to love?
