"After winning the Galarian Star Tournament, Victor and Gloria help the Corviknight Taxi to deliver some medicine before helping Scorbunny deal with its jealousy and evolve. Now our heroes had returned to Stow-on-Side to continue onward to Ballonlea, but first, it's time to go through the Glimwood Tangle."

"The Prankster Impidimp"

Victor and Gloria are walking through Stow-on-Side, with Gloria looking through her bag's contents.

"...Potions, Antidotes," Gloria says, before starting to close her bag. "There, I think we're ready to go."

"That good to hear," Victor says, as Gloria swings her bag onto her back. "I'm curious about Glimwood Tangle."

"Big mistake!"

Victor and Gloria stop and look ahead to see a couple, Robert and Jacqueline, seemingly miserable, walking into the city.

"I knew Glimwood Tangle was a mistake," Jacqueline says, as she and Robert walk past Victor and Gloria.

"We should've just taken the Corviknight Taxi," Robert adds, as Victor and Gloria watch them.

"I wonder what that's about?" Gloria asks.

Victor shrugs his shoulders, before they turn to see the entrance to Glimwood Tangle, a dark forest.

"So, ready to go?" Victor asks.

"Yeah," Gloria puts on a half smile.

Victor and Gloria are walking through the forest, which is very dark, with Victor looking around at their surroundings.

"What do you know about Glimwood Tangle?" Victor asks.

"Not much actually," Gloria says, as Victor looks over to her. "But I do remember Sonia setting up cameras to monitor the area for twenty-four hours."

"How did it go?" Victor asks.

Gloria looks up, with a finger to her chin, "Well…"

Sonya is sleeping at a desk, in front of a PC, with a cup of coffee near her.

"It was uneventful."

Victor and Gloria stop at three branching directions, trying to see through the darkness.

"So, which way do we go?" Victor asks, as Gloria continues to look down each path.

Meanwhile, nearby, an Impidimp is watching them behind a large mushroom, "Impi…"

Impidimp looks over its shoulder to see a Phantump floating by, "Impi?" Impidimp then grins, "Impi."

"Phan," Phantump continues to float by, unaware of Impidimp jumping up from behind.

"Impi!" Impidimp slams a hand on Phantump's back, sending it flying forward.

"Phan," Phantump manages to stop itself from flying, before turning to Impidimp, with an angry expression. "Phan!"

"Impi! Impi!" Impidimp holds up an arm to its face, as it cries with tears pouring out. "Impi! Impi!" Impidimp points at Victor and Gloria as they are walking by in the distance, before thinking about them talking to it while pointing at Phantump. "Impi! Impi!"

"Phan…" Phantump looks down at the still crying Impidimp, before looking back at the Trainers in distance and then flies ahead.

"Impi…" Impidimp stops, before turning its head, clear of tears, and with a large grin.

"Phan!" Phantump flies at Victor and Gloria, before it is surrounded by dark energy which flies ahead.

The dark energy hits the ground next to Victor and Gloria, who screams and jumps back, with Victor falling down.

"What's going on?!" Victor calls out.

"Phan! Phan!" Phantump flies ahead, with one of the branches on its head stump glows.

Suddenly, a red beam shoots out of Gloria's bag and turns into Sirfetch'd, who blocks Phantump's attack with its leaf shield, "Sir, fetch!"

Sirfetch'd pushes Phantump back with its shield before striking at it with its leek, though Phantump flies back to dodge it.

"Thank you, Sirfetch'd," Gloria says, with a smile.

"Sir," Sirfetch'd looks over its shoulder to see Gloria as a princess, before looking back ahead with its leek at its side. "Fetch!"

"Phan! Phan!" Phantump is catching its breath.

"Wait, is that a Phantump?" Victor asks.

Victor's Rotom Phone flies up, "Phantump, the Stump Pokémon, With a voice like a human child's, it cries out to lure adults deep into the forest, getting them lost among the trees."

"Creepy, but that doesn't explain why it attacked us," Gloria says.

"Sir, Fetch!" Sirfetch'd runs ahead.

"Sirfetch'd," Gloria says.

"Phan!" Phantump says, before firing a ghostly flame ahead.

"Sirfetch'd, Iron Defense!" Gloria calls out.

"Sir, fetch!" Sirfetch'd crosses its arms, as its body turns silver, before the ghostly flame hits it and dissipates. Sirfetch'd then jumps up. "Sir, fetch!"

"Now, Rock Smash!" Gloria instructs.

"Sir, fetch!" Sirfetch'd, in midair, starts to bring its leek down.

"Phan!" Phantump is surrounded by dark energy, before sending it flying.

Sirfetch'd's leek collides with the dark energy, throwing it back, with Sirfetch'd landing on a large mushroom, which glows bright before Sirfetch'd jumps off.

"The mushrooms," Victor returns to his feet. "They can light the paths."

"Sirfetch'd, Fury Cutter!" Gloria calls out.

"Sir, fetch! Sir, fetch!" Sirfetch'd swings its leek left to right, repeatedly.

"Phan! Phan!" Phantump dodges a couple strikes, before Sirfetch'd hits, knocking Phantump back. "Phan!"

Phantump is thrown through a tree, before turning around and flies away.

"Okay, Phantump running away, but why did it attack us like that?" Gloria asks, as she walks ahead.

"At least now we can find our way through here," Victor says, as he touches a large mushroom, lighting it up.

"That's one good thing," Gloria says to her friend, before she knees down to her Pokémon. "How you're doing, Sirfetch'd?"

"Sir, fetch," Sirfetch'd looks up to her, happily.

All of a sudden, a loud laughter draws everyone's attention, as they see Impidimp lying on the ground, laughing mad.

Gloria's Rotom Phone flies up, "Impidimp, the Wily Pokémon, Through its nose, it sucks in the emanations produced by people and Pokémon when they feel annoyed. It thrives off this negative energy."

Gloria stands up, grabbing her Rotom Phone, "It doesn't seem too negative."

"But what is it doing?" Victor says, before taking a step and suddenly falling down.

"Victor, what happened?!" Gloria asks her friend.

Victor turns around and looks at his shoes, which had been tied together, "My shoelaces?"

"Impi!" Impidimp laughs even more, before running ahead, grabs Victor's backpack and starts to climb up a tree.

"Hey!" Victor calls out.

Impidimp climbs onto a tree branch and leaves the backpack dangling on the branch, "Impi!"

"Look like this Impidimp is a real prankster," Gloria places her hands on her hips, with Sirfetch'd looking up with her.

Victor, still seated on the ground, throws a Poké Ball, "Corviknight, get my backpack."

The Poké Ball opens and shoots out red energy, which turns into Corviknight, "Knigh!"

Corviknight flies up to the tree and starts to flap its wings at Impidimp, "Knigh! Knigh!"

"Impi!" Impidimp jumps off the tree and into some nearby brushes.

"Knigh," Corviknight starts to pull the backpack off the branch by its strap.

Victor finishes retying his shoes, next to his backpack, before looking over to Corviknight, "Thanks a lot for getting my backpack back, Corviknight."

"Knigh," Corviknight happily says.

Victor holds up a Poké Ball, with Corviknight turns into red energy and flies back into the Poké Ball, before Victor returns to his feet.

"Impi!"

Victor, Gloria, and Sirfetch'd turn around to see Impidimp laughing several feet behind.

"Sir, fetch! Sir, fetch!" Sirfetch'd runs over to Impidimp, waving its arm in its direction, before noticing its outstretched hand isn't holding its leek, but a twig instead. "Sir, fetch...?"

"Sir, fetch! Sir, fetch!" Sirfetch'd panicky looks around for its leek.

"Impi!"

Sirfetch'd looks over to the side, to see Impidimp, still laughing, is using the leek as a back scratcher, "Impi! Impi!"

"Sir, fetch!" Sirfetch'd grabs the leek from Impidimp, then tries to strike at Impidimp, but it jumps far back. "Sir, fetch!"

Gloria takes several steps forward, "Impidimp, you need to be careful. If you keep on pulling pranks like that, it's gonna get you in some real trouble one day."

"Impi," Impidimp softly waves a hand at her, seemingly bored, before turning and running into the darkness.

Gloria sighs.

Impidimp is running through Glimwood Tangle, laughing nearly nonstop, when it bumps into something and falls down.

"Impi?" Impidimp looks up to see Phantump, Shiinotic, and Sinistea in front of it.

"Phan."

"Notic."

"Sinis."

"Impi," Impidimp smiles, with a sweat drop.

"Notic! Notic!" Shiinotic leans close to Impidimp. "Notic!"

Impidimp is standing next to Shiinotic, point at another Shiinotic, "Impi, Impi, Impi."

Shiinotic blushes, "Notic?"

Shiinotic walks over to the other Shiinotic, still blushing, while talking, "Notic, Notic, Notic…"

It then starts raining, with the rain washes away paint on the second Shiinotic, revealing it to be a large mushroom.

"Notic!"

Nearby, Impidimp is trying to hold back it's laughter, next to a paint brush on the ground.

"Notic! Notic!" Shiinotic continues to yell at Impidimp.

"Impi…" Impidimp pulls itself away from Shiinotic, when Sinistea moves over to it.

"Sinis! Sinis!"

"Impi, Impi…" Impidimp says, with a sweatdrop.

"Sinis!" Sinistea yells, surprising Impidimp.

Sinistea is moving through Glimwood Tangle, with heat waving off it, when Impidimp, soaking wet, walks by it.

"Sinis?" Sinistea asks.

"Impi, Impi, Impi," Impidimp happily says, as it points at a pond, while thinking about how cool it was.

"Sinis," Sinistea happily says, before it moves over to the pond and jumps in.

Sinistea floats in the pond for a couple seconds, before suddenly jumping out, while it is boiling, "Sinis!"

Nearby, Impidimp is having even more trouble holding back it's laughter.

"Impi, Impi," Impidimp is waving a hand in front of the angry Sinistea.

"Phan! Phan!" Phantump floats over to Impidimp, thinking about Victor and Gloria.

"Impi," Impidimp gives a small smile, before noticing Sinistea, Shiinotic, and Phantump slowly moving toward it, with Impidimp now sweating. "Impi…"

Victor places a hand on a large mushroom, which lights up in reaction.

Gloria stands next to her friend, "At least these mushrooms will guide our way."

Victor smiles, before they hear some leaves rustling and turn to look in that direction.

Suddenly, Impidimp comes running out of some brushes, "Impi! Impi!"

"Impidimp?" Gloria asks, as Impidimp runs over to the two Trainers and hides behind their legs. "Is this another prank?"

Victor looks ahead, "I don't think so."

Gloria looks in the same direction, with them seeing coming out of the brushes are Phantump, Shiinotic, and Sinistea.

"It's Phantump again, and… Shiinotic?" Victor realizes.

Victor's Rotom Phone flies up, "Shiinotic, the Illuminating Pokémon, Its flickering spores lure in prey and put them to sleep. Once this Pokémon has its prey snoozing, it drains their vitality with its fingertips."

"And I think that's Sinistea," Gloria adds.

Gloria's Rotom Phone flies up, "Sinistea, the Black Tea Pokémon, The teacup in which this Pokémon makes its home is famous piece of antique tableware. Many forgeries are in circulation."

"Phan! Phan!" Phantump yells, as it approaches Victor, Gloria, and Impidimp.

Gloria holds down her Rotom Phone, sighing, "Let me guess, Impidimp pulled some pranks on you three."

"Phan!"

"Notic!"

"Sinis!"

"But listen, violence isn't the answer to some pranks, so maybe if you all calm down…" Gloria starts.

"Phan!" Phantump shakes its head, before it is surrounded by dark energy, which flies ahead.

"Impi!" Impidimp jumps out of the way, as the dark energy hits the ground.

"Gloria…" Victor looks to his friend.

"We might not like Impidimp's pranks, but we can't let them beat up on it," Gloria says, with Victor nodding his head.

"Go, Sirfetch'd!" Gloria throws a Poké Ball.

"Sir, Fetch!"

"Go, Toxel!" Victor throws a Poké Ball.

"Toxe!"

"Sinis!" A dark ball forms in front of Sinistea, before it is launched forward.

"Toxel, counter Shadow Ball with Nuzzle!" Victor calls out.

"Toxe!" Toxel rubs its hands on its cheeks, firing off a small amount of electricity from its body, colliding with the dark ball, which explodes.

"Sirfetch'd, use Fury Cutter!" Gloria instructs.

"Sir, Fetch!" Sirfetch'd strikes down with its leek at Shiinotic, who jumps back, before striking toward Phantump, who jumps to the side.

"Notic!" Shiinotic shakes its head, shooting off a powder.

"Sirfetch'd, watch out!" Gloria calls out.

"Sir, Fetch!" Sirfetch'd jumps back, as the powder falls past it.

"Phan! Phan!" Phantump flies toward Impidimp.

"Impi!"

Phantump, with one of its top branches glowing, hits Impidimp with the branch, knocking it back.

"Impidimp!" Gloria looks over to the wild Pokémon.

"Sir, fetch?" Sirfetch'd looks over its shoulder.

"Notic!" Shiinotic comes to a stop in front of Sirfetch'd, before emitting a bright flash.

"Sir, fetch!" Sirfetch'd is knocked back.

Gloria looks back ahead, "Sirfetch'd, counter with Leer and then Rock Smash!"

Gloria then looks back over to Impidimp, who starts to get up, as Phantump floats several feet in front of it. Gloria then notices the large mushrooms and trees around them.

"Phan!" Phantump shoots ahead a ghostly fire, as it makes its way to Impidimp.

"Impidimp, jump back!" Gloria suddenly shouts.

Impidimp jumps backward, with the ghostly fire hitting the ground, as Impidimp lands on a large mushroom, lighting it up.

"Impidimp, you're fast, outmaneuver Phantump, until you see a opening," Gloria says, as Impidimp looks over to her.

After a few seconds of watching her, Impidimp nods its head, "Impi."

"Phan! Phan! Phan!" Phantump starts to fire multiple ghostly fires.

"Impi!" Impidimp jumps off the large mushroom, dodging one ghostly fire, swings itself off a tree branch, dodging another, then jumps off the side of a tree, dodging a third.

"Toxel, Acid!" Victor calls out.

"Toxe…" Toxel starts, when suddenly a ghostly, liquid-like fist flies out of Sinistea and hits it.

Toxel and Sirfetch'd are knocked back to back, before noticing their opponents.

"Sirfetch'd…!" Gloria calls out.

"Toxel…!" Victor calls out.

"Notic!" Shiinotic starts to shoot a powder off its head.

"Jump!" both Trainers call out.

"Sir, Fetch!" Sirfetch'd grabs Toxel and jumps up, with the powder goes past them and falls onto Sinistea.

"Sinis…" Sinistea falls asleep.

"Notic?!" Shiinotic sweat drops.

"Sirfetch'd, Rock Smash!" Gloria instructs.

"Sir, Fetch!" Sirfetch'd, still holding Toxel, drops down and slams its leek down on Shiinotic, causing a large explosion of dust.

"Notic!" Shiinotic is thrown out of the explosion of dust and slams into Sinistea, waking it up.

"Sinis?!"

"Now, Toxel, Nozzle!" Victor instructs.

"Sir, Fetch!" Sirfetch'd throws Toxel toward their opponents.

"Toxe!" Toxel rubs its hands on its cheeks, shooting off a small amount of electricity from its body, blasting Shiinotic and Sinistea.

"Phan!" Phantump continues to fire ghostly fires all around it.

"Impi! Impi!" Impidimp continues to jump around, off large mushrooms, trees, and tree branches, barely dodging each attack.

Suddenly, Shiinotic and Sinistea are knocked onto Phantump, "Phan!"

"Impi!" Impidimp jumps off the side of a tree, and slams a hand forward, knocking the three Pokémon to the side.

Phantump, Shiinotic, and Sinistea then turn around and hurry away through some brushes.

Gloria sighs, "I think that is finally over."

Victor knees down to Toxel, as it and Sirfetch'd walk over, "You were awesome, Toxel."

"Toxe," Toxel happily replies.

"You too, Sirfetch'd, that was great work," Gloria says.

"Sir, Fetch," Sirfetch'd bows to Gloria, who sweat drops.

"Impi," Impidimp walks over to the group and bows. "Impi, Impi."

"I guess Impidimp is thanking us for the help," Victor stands up.

"Toxe," Toxel walks over and smiles.

"Impi," Impidimp returns the smile.

Gloria smiles, "Impidimp isn't too bad. It could be very nice."

"Yeah…" Victor says, before looking over to Gloria. "Are you considering catching Impidimp?"

"Maybe the only reason it was pulling those pranks, because it didn't have any friends," Gloria says, before she knees down to Impidimp and holds out a Poké Ball. "So, Impidimp, do you want to be my friend and join my team?"

"Impi…" Impidimp looks at Gloria for a moment, before smiling. "Impi!"

Impidimp then presses the button on the Poké Ball, which opens, as Impidimp turns into red energy and flies into the Poké Ball, before it closes. The Poké Ball then shakes a couple times, before stopping with small stars shooting off its center.

"Alright!" Gloria stands up and holds up the Poké Ball. "I caught Impidimp!"

"Sir, fetch…" Sirfetch'd looks to the side, with a disappointment look.

Gloria holds out the Poké Ball, which opens and shoots out red energy, forming Impidimp, "Impi!"

Impidimp turns to Sirfetch'd and offers a handshake to it, "Impi."

"I think Impidimp wants to start off with a clean state, Sirfetch'd," Gloria guesses.

"Sir, fetch," Sirfetch'd looks at Impidimp, before placing its leek on the ground and then accept the handshake. "Sir, fetch."

"Impi!" Impidimp shakes Sirfetch'd's hand.

"Sir, fetch," Sirfetch'd goes to pick up its leek, but picks up a twig, which it quickly notices. "Sir, fetch?!"

Sirfetch'd then look ahead to see Impidimp walking away as it waving around the leek, "Impi!"

"Sir, Fetch!" Sirfetch'd throws the twig to the side and starts to chase Impidimp.

"Impi!"

Sirfetch'd chases Impidimp around, as Victor and Gloria sigh, and Toxel watches the chase, curiously.

"Our heroes' trek through Glimwood Tangle started off with a hurdle and a new friend. Now they will continue onward, but what will they find next?"
